When I woke up for fajr prayer earlier this morning my first thoughts were the descriptions that Shaheed Soleimani made of the soldiers on the frontline.
Their whisperings of God's name and tawassul in the name of Fatima al-Zahra (毓) would be like the soft buzzing of bees in the dark hours of the night and dawn.
All while enemy guns pointed at them.
This is the school of Imam al-Hussain (毓) and Imam Khomeini.
Shaheed Soleimani's speeches about the dimensions of the warfront in relation to worship, ethics and spirituality, are pieces of advice to carry with you in this world in the midst of a soft war.
Shaheed Soleimani is a force that will live on in our hearts and our minds.
More of 3.5/5 猸 I read this book after the martyrdom of Qassem Souliemani I really was interested in his memoirs. My only criticism is that i felt it was short. We only got snippets. I WANTED MORE.
I have always wanted to read this book, and unfortunately I didn't until Qassem Soleimani became a martyr. In this book Qasem Soleimani paints for us a peice of art with the blood of his martyred friends. He tells the story of his memories through their deaths and makes them the center of everything. If we didn't know that he was the leader of a lot of the operations he spoke about one would totally not know from the book. He just hides everything about him and speaks about them. What gives tge story authenticity is that he actually knew these people an fought alongsude them; it isn't a tale written by an outsider and sugar coated according to preset beliefs. He doesn't just tell about the victories; he tells about how difficult it was to get there. The struggle of the human soul trying to become more, trying to live and fight depending on everything beyond the materialistic world. I have read books about martyrs and fights, none of them has made me feel drenched in blood or struggling with the roaring water of Arwand river. Qasem Soleimani's pwerful emotional as well as reasonable language moved my soul profoundly. The way he describes himself as someone who was expecting anything from the enemy to someone who promises people victory. Qassem was always ashamed of staying alive comparing himself to a flower full of thoorns. Finally Qassem splashed his blood upon the beautiful painting drawn by his friends' blood. Now I am clearly convinced this was his wish and his goal. This book is a treasure for anyone who wants to understand what makes Soleimani different than any typical military commander.
