“If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would become a mighty stranger.
"I wondered what it would look like if I sliced open one of her veins with the tip of my thimble and let the blood pour. Not a main vein, but one where I could watch the vivid red render her pale skin into a sadistic artist’s masterpiece. I imagined lapping at the blood. Then in turn, her opening a vein in my neck and feeding from me just the same."
“That’s the thing about a prison full of psycho killers. I unsheathed my cane and brought the spiked blade to hover at his throat. “We can manipulate an escape and kill those who stupidly kept us all captive.
"I always see you.
“You’re ready to get your darlin? Chapel had asked me several days ago. “My Dolly, I had shot back. “Your little Dolly darlin’. He had smiled and bowed like he always did. “Then, young Dapper Dan, send her my loving regards, and Godspeed. A slow smile. “May the devil be firmly on your side . . .
These were just the daily thoughts I’d had about people ever since I could remember. Most nights I fell asleep imagining what they would all look like dead.
"I observed the people watching her. Looking at her as if she was mad. She was, of course. But so was I. It was what I loved most about us."
“You are both victims of circumstance, Rabbit. It does not make you wrong.
"Love. Not deep enough to describe my feelings for Dolly. But it would have to do. I had no other word as mighty or as strong."
"Tick tock... tick tock... tick tock."
Heathan James was the genesis of my soul’s reawakening . . . a soul not meant for peace, but one handcrafted for death and murder and blood and bones . . .Ellis (Dolly) and Heathen (Rabbit) are two kids who share a very peculiar, but strong friendship. However, they have no clue about the house of horrors they reside in about the monsters lurking in plain sight, just waiting to tear their childhood to shreds.
Soulmates forged in fire, under the watchful gaze of Satan’s mocking eyes.
Heathan.
Ellis.
Just a couple of sick fux . . .
"Tick tock."
"I was ready. Ready to come back for my girl. Ready to lead her down the rabbit hole."Ellis Earnshaw and Heathan James met as young children. Happily obsessed with one another, they live isolated in their own little world. They were young children who formed a beautiful friendship. As circumstances changed for Heathen, innocence was lost and the brutal truth of the world in which they live is revealed. Heathen is willing to endure anything in order to keep Ellis safe. But as every moment passes the danger ensues and Ellis also becomes a victim to the horrors of their home. Heathen and Ellis will battle to the death in order to gain revenge on the people that have shattered their souls.
"I thought of the journey ahead. Thought of the blood we would shed, the hearts we would stop and the lives we would steal."Told in dual POV, Sick Fux is a shocking read full of unthinkable moments leading up to a blood bath. Heathen and Ellis are both complex and due to the abuse they have endured they both exist in a blended world of reality and their reality together. Heathen exists solely to protect and love Ellis. Ellis is so damaged that Heathen fights every moment to deliver her to a safe place both physically and emotionally. The dynamics between the two are intense and twisted and yet, together they make sense. Although they are ruthless on their quest for revenge, you cannot help but root for them every step of the way. The action is non stop and although the feelings they share are dark and twisted, I found their connection to be full of tenderness and deep love. In addition to the blood, action, and sick circumstances, the passion between Ellis and Heathen is intense and deeply felt as the plot unfolds.
"You were born to stand by my side in Wonderland. Born to kill by my side."
I didn’t want her sane mind. I wanted her like this: fucked up, and dark perfection.
“Blood . . . it is a fascinating thing. The way it smells when it’s fresh from the vein. How it spurts when you slice a spot of flesh just right.
