Texting #1

Let's Get Textual

Rate this book
A wrong number is supposed to be just that—a wrong number.

Delete. Done.

Do not continue to text. Do not flirt.

A wrong number shouldn't be the first person on your mind in the morning, or the last at night...and you're definitely not supposed to talk them into buying a baby goat.

Because that would be weird.

When Zach Hastings and I get into a wrong-number mix-up, we don't follow the rules. We keep texting and flirting, because he's wicked funny and perfectly nerdy and a wonderful distraction.

I'm not looking for love, and Zach definitely had the wrong number.

But maybe...

Maybe he's the right guy.

4.25 stars!

The more I read from Teagan Hunter, the more I want to read. I kind of read these books out of order (they’re stand alones so it doesn’t matter much) and after reading I Wanna Text You Up, I had to have Delia and Zach’s story. I loved it just as much as Zoe and Caleb’s.

It all started with a wrong number Delia thinks it’s her brother with a new number, and Zach thinks it’s a client. When most people have the wrong number, they just move on. Not Zach and Delia. They spend weeks texting and flirting, and my god it’s so much fun. I adored this part of the book. The build up to them meeting- it was so entertaining to read.

When these two finally meet, it’s like they’ve known each other forever. The chemistry they felt through their texts is nothing compared to the sparks that are there when they meet in person. I loved these two together. And Marshmallow sigh! It was the sweetest!

I listened to this audio book in a day. It was so great, I just didn’t want to stop listening. I can’t wait for the third book to come out in audio format. I definitely feel like these books are meant to be listened to, though I’m sure reading them is fine too!

My thoughts in a nutshell
This was fun until the third quarter of the book then it became a dull, stereotypical romance that everybody knows.

The story is about
Skip over this point if you don't like the sneak peek.
Delia gets a text from an unknown number; she thinks it is her brother's new phone number, but no it is Zach's number. Zach is a hot stranger. They've started to text each other and then everything becomes complicated.

What impressed me the most 😊
I really enjoyed the beginning of the book. It was so much fun when the two characters would text each other. I liked the charming goading and the ironic atmosphere. I love when the main character is ironic as fire. The characters' have fiery chemistry, I'm always pleased when the couple has a passionate relationship in the book.
My favorite part through the book was Marshmallow the baby goat. I want a baby goat, now!
BTW, I also love the title of the book, it is hilarious.

What I don't like at all ☹️
I hate when a simple chic lit/romance novel has a naked, six-pack dude on the cover. It is cringy and cheesy. Please be more creative!
The last couple of chapter was torture. I knew what will happen, and I was bored as hell. To be honest, I was skimming through the book's ending. If you ask me, it's an unnecessarily overwritten book.

Make a conclusion
I gave it 3 stars because it is a really average book. Cute, entertaining but a bit flat.
I recommend it to anyone who wants an easy, light book. It is a perfect choice if you have a reading slump. The book has a lot of text, I think if you have a little time you are able to finish it in a single sitting. Also, it is a perfect summer read.

Atmosphere collage aka. how did I imagine the book vibes?

Our lips lock, and we’re falling. Thud.

I had SO much fun reading this book. I sat there with a cheesy smile and some giggles may or may not have escaped. Delia and Zach were adorable together. Their texting banter had me rolling and their in person chemistry was sizzling. The intimacy was strong and well done but it wasn’t overly explicit, which turned out to be a credit to the story. The plot isn’t all that intricate which was ok because it allowed for the focus to be on the development of the relationship. I was happy with the use of secondary characters, especially Carter, who was NOT a douchebag ex.

”HOLY SHIT. I laughed so hard I farted and scared our baby goat.

I believe this is my first book by the author but it won’t be my last. The writing, pace, and prose was solid all around. The humor was on point and I’m kind of a hard nut to crack in that aspect so kudos to the author.

”I want one reason why I should say yes.

“Because I’ll let you touch my butt?

Safety: No others for either. No rape or abuse. There is some sharing of intimate pictures.

"I knitted you a damn PENIS POTHOLDER. Least you could do to repay me for my kindness is to buy me a baby goat."

"I laughed so loud I farted and scared our baby goat."
😂

Overview
Zach (25). Delia (21). Told from heroine POV only. A large portion of the book is written in text message format as this was the major form of communication between H/h when they first met and continued throughout their relationship.

Characters
Zach: he is a Hot, nerdy app developer, and oh so fantastic. He is witty and kind and he knows who he is and what he wants. He doesn’t play games. He’s so yummy. 🤓❤️
“I was kind of a nerd in high school.
I squint, trying to see it. "You’re lying.
"What? Nerds can’t be devilishly handsome with pert asses and chiseled features?

First impression of Zach: the first introduction to Zach is through texts, and his texts made him seem like a sexy, confident man with a good sense of humor.

Delia (college senior, majoring in journalism): she has recently broken up with her boyfriend. Nothing bad about the break-up, they just decided they worked better as friends. Delia is a nice person and is working hard to get through her final year of college.

First impression of Delia: she has some snark to her. She is full of spunk and sass. She’s one of those quirky people you would love to have as a friend as there will never be a dull moment when she is around.

The Story
A wrong number turns into two people who appreciate each other’s humor, snark and flirting capabilities and they click immediately.
”The first thought that runs through my head when I switch off my screen is, He gets me.

”He understands me on a level I wasn’t expecting, understands my sarcasm and doesn’t get annoyed when that’s the mode I’m in. He appreciates the darkness behind it, and even better, he fires back with his own. Our conversations are seamless, flirty, and I like it way more than I should—not to mention my body tingles with anticipation every time he sends a text because I know it’ll spark an endless string of fun.

These two have a lot of fun together and make each other laugh. The chemistry and connection they formed via text messages only intensifies once they come face to face.

Delia: ”I was really nervous to meet you, ya know. We were total strangers and then we bonded through weird text exchanges. I was crushing on you hard and formed this image of you inside my head. I was so scared you wouldn’t live up to it, that the fun I’ve had texting you wouldn’t translate in real life.
“But you, we it was everything I hoped it would be.

Zach: ”Thank you, Delia. For not being totally lame. For laughing at my horrible jokes. For falling asleep on me. For being well, everything I wanted you to be.

Overall
This book was a lot of fun. It was light and fluffy and very low on drama. It was exactly what I was looking for. There were lots of times where I found myself smiling at the banter between the characters. The humor didn’t feel forced and the characters didn’t feel fake and they were easy to fall in love with. The secondary characters add some additional humor to the story.

The writing was solid, the pace good and I liked the text format. A POV by only one of the characters usually results in a low rating from me because I like to get a sense of both character’s inner thoughts. However, in this case it worked because there weren’t long, ongoing sections of inner dialogue. A large portion of the book is their communication via text message so the quick, witty humor and the immediate chemistry was easy to buy into as it wasn’t a one-sided story.

This book was so much fun to read and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Quotes
"I’m quite enjoying this friendship that’s blossoming here. You calling me names, me giving you insurmountable amounts of shit.

"You’re the best wrong number that’s ever happened to me."

“You know what I just realized? We didn’t once talk about all that normal ‘get to know you shit you’re supposed to talk about with people. We jumped right in, Zach and Delia style. He holds his bottle of soda up. “Cheers. I like us.

This was a fun and different read.
Be aware, a good portion of this book is written in text message form.
The two MC's meet via text and they continue to text a lot.

description

I mean, it's their "meet-cute".
You should expect this format of writing.
But, if that bothers you... then this book might not be your thing.
It doesn't bother me at all and I actually really enjoyed reading something different like this.

description

What's not to dig?
It features a witty h whose humor I found hilarious.
A sexy, nerdy H who is just as funny... and hot.
And I'm a sucker for hot nerdy guys.

description

description

There's also plenty of steaminess and sexy times.
AND, it features a baby goat... named Marshmallow.
Now, I've read books with various "cute" animals... but never a baby goat.
Of course, I had to Google because I wondered just how adorable can these baby goats possibly be?

description

description

description

I mean... shuddup! A-DOR-A-BLE!!

So, yeah... great read!
Light, fun, funny, low angst, sexy, contemporary read!
Good stuff.

R A T I N G: 4 stars to Let's Get Textual! ★★★★

 Lots of text talk
 Heroine-only POV
 Virtual meet-cute
A baby goat adored by everyone
 Sass, snark and humour aplenty
A hero/heroine unfazed by their oddities

Life's most brilliant adventures are half (or wholly in my case) had on page but some of life's best conversational interplays are best had hidden behind fast fingers, phone screens and kept alive by the simplest desire to fire back with swift wit, comical snubs and wonderful one-liners that keep two people delighted to come back to the other. An inventive easy-on-the-eyes shameless developer hero and a homebody heroine with and bold and barefaced personage have such a deliciously madcap utterly complementary-to-each-other courtship in Let's Get Textual. I choose to relinquish a need to stitch together a colourful collection of descriptors and instead rely on a simple statement: I had a such a blast with this Hunter-humoured rom-com. Be prepared to enjoy quirky humans with quirky interchanges and a quirky human courtship. There's a goat, an escapist nerd haven, always -peckish appetites and lots of taunting text talk.

As a love-struck comrade of the romance reading community, It's no surprise to me that we're all devoted to great and grand love stories, and while this genre adopts a plethora of interchangeable styles, themes and tropes, I don't believe that a romance has to be grand to be great. Some romances are grand just because they make for a great for-the-moment read. Let's Get Textual isn't fashioned from a complex narrative with complex personalities that traverses a labyrinthine channel towards epic love. But here's what it is: Such. Simple. Great. Fun. Teagan Hunter brings the wealthy hero trope back down to earth with an easy spin that's truly resonant to Zach's character. Sometimes Hunter's hero is all swaggering ego, sometimes he's adorably nerdy, lovably boyish, zany Zach or all saucy mischief but he's all kind at heart. And he's also the perfect complement to Delia's equally imperishable individuality that's endearingly beyond bashfulness.

It's also a bit of a nod to modern meet-ups and contemporary courtships (despite it being completely incidental in this case) since most real-life partnerships begin as virtually virtual in this age, and I really loved that spin on it - to develop a brilliantly unshrinkable digital camaraderie to meeting post-daily texts. With no disturbing surprises, a face to face makes it all real and nothing changes between our couple. There's such a simple easement about this that made me want to ease into it without poking at seams and prodding at potholes. I did prefer the initial bulk of the story to the final portion of the book; the route taken didn't quite sustain the initial thrill I had, the confrontation scene seemed inattentive and I prefer a romantic resolution that takes its time without tying its laces too quickly. Delia's distrust and her accusation factored in, I honestly think Zack overlooked the situation she found herself in, which was a very big deal. He could have given her the benefit of the accusation or even looked into the incident himself. The twist was actually a tad unsuspecting for me too having brought into the idea of the 'the brother' situation throughout so there was a clever bit of misdirection there.

Within a genre that tends toward demonising exes as the evil and/or problematic ex-lovers they're meant to play, I really loved that Delia's newly former partner was the antithesis to that. Both he and Delia split up at the beginning of the book and he remains to be a friend who really comes to her aid when the conflict arises and within the conflict resolution. Teagan Hunter challenges the typecast with that one. As for the evil-doer, the surprise was less surprising. What I am surprised over is the fact that said evil-doer gets his own book. Perhaps some readers will have a more forgiving perspective but this side character's unforgivable violation both abuses a fundamental invasion of privacy and heeds the culture of toxic entitlement. It could have had major implications for Delia; that sort of mark on a woman isn't easily removed. He also doesn't show an iota of apology for his offense or how he both treats and relates with women. I don't doubt that he'll be redeemed enough in some way to be to be in a position of attracting his own story, but I didn't find anything about him even slightly likeable. I'm not sure how I feel about him deserving his own book but comeuppance or hero potential? Only the consensus will tell. The book does mention some consequences for what he did but it's not clearly detailed.

Delia and Zach are both down to earth characters who give as good as they get and still represent value. They've got humour but it doesn't aim to showboat. It's just them, it's easy and it's natural. Their ability to drop a guard and feel free to be themselves partway emblazons the playful charm. There's "textual" chemistry, conversational chemistry, personalised chemistry and some sexual chemistry but I wouldn't have been against a bigger, better chemistry in places (not excluding their first in-person meet up). What I really love about the romance is that a commitment to each other isn't the default, relied upon obstacle - it's Delia's reluctance to move forward too fast and brave a physical meeting that makes her balk. But even that doesn't hold her back the more they mingle. As I mentioned, there's a place for simplicity, there's a place for sophistication and then there's a place to air the playfulness we all have within us, and it's that class of romance that's as profoundly connectable in my plebeian opinion. Not a multi-faceted piece of romantic fiction but a single-sided slice of simple joy.

Readers will enjoy this rom-com where both leads are as untroubled by their comical kinks as fashionably as they don that light-hearted snark like everyday wear. I had such a fun time being a part of this story for more than a few days. My smile was rarely thwarted and I was taken back to semi-similar chat thread where I embodied more of Zach and Delia than my texting partner in crime - text conversations we've all had, hidden to all, known to and cherished only by us and circling through the highways of cyberspace. A sassy hero/heroine pairing are given a story in Let's Get Textual. A heroine who loves her quiet nights in but is far from a shrinking violet and a hero who shares a humour as great as hers. Short, playful repartee, swift snark and comical comebacks, exciting exchanges and a pair evenly matched swaddle this romance that initiates the Texting series. The simplest joy swaddled me too and I had mini butterflies every time a text exchange awaited. A strangers-to-texters-to-lovers romance romance that one-lined me into immediate surrender. Every time.

Note: While I'm known for collecting/sharing bookish quotes, and as many favourites as I had in this read, I decided against adding a quotes section so any and all curious readers can enjoy all the fun upon cracking open the book for themselves. This is me trying to engage in the non-spoiler culture :D

Content Warning: Drinking, swearing and a few steamy scenes. Past parental deaths, mentions grief counselling and there's a violation of privacy involving a intimate selfie.

I loved this book from beginning to end. There were so many lol moments for me while reading this book. I adored Zach and his HOT nerdy self. Delia was funny and sweet. These two were absolutely perfect for each other. This book is not full of angst and drama, just enough. It’s not full of crazy exes showing up. Delia’s ex is in it and he is the nicest guy. I would love to read a book about Caleb getting his hea. And Zoe, Delia’s roommate is the type of bff that every girl needs. I’d love a book about her and Robbie. This is my first book by this author and definitely will not be my last. What a great book to end 2017 with and to bring in 2018.

UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT!

I am so bored...
This is not my cuppa, unfortunately :(
DNF at 30%

I guess you know that the heroine, Delia, gets a text to her phone from a wrong number one day and then, they start texting and talking regularly, seeing they enjoy each other's company over the phone.

And by texting, what I mean is "Texting texting and texting for millions of pages about some random silly stuff." And they sometimes make stupid jokes to each other. It's never fun or funny for me.

What is worse is, this is a romance book and they absolutely have NO chemistry to be lovers later. They are like two teenagers aged 14-15 years old, talking about their favorite ice-cream, favorite movies, which character's costume they like wearing during the Halloween etc.

After a certain point, I couldn't stand those texts anymore so I skipped pages and read their first date - the first time they meet in person. And I was right, they have no chemistry, no sparks - nothing! And I am out!

Readers mostly enjoyed this book so I guess I will be in the minority. I am so bored that I don't even feel like writing a proper review about it. Sorry :(

P.S. I have just learnt that the heroine Delia's's best friend Zoe is the heroine in the next book. And this book's heroine Delia broke up with her boyfriend Caleb at the beginning of the book and Caleb will be the hero in the next book. So, her best friend and her ex-boyfriend will be lovers in Book 2.

Nope nope nope, this series is definitely not for me.

“If you think you’re going to Slytherin to my bed with those on, you’re wrong. I only allow full-fledged Hufflepuffs in there.

This review is long overdue, and frankly, it's been long enough since I've read it that I'm going to keep this short and sweet, but I had to type up something before continuing with the series. Delia and Zach are a freaking riot I seriously laughed out loud so many times, and even while shuffling through my highlights to pick a quote for this review, I was giggling all over again and their romance feels so believable and fun. One of my favorite types of relationship-forming in romance novels is when the characters feel like lovers and best friends, and these two fit the bill so effortlessly.

On top of how cute the humans are, there's a baby goat that I would protect at all costs. I'm telling you, this little booger is the most adorable plot device I've ever seen. Is he necessary to the story? Of course not. Did I adore each and every single damn scene involving him? You bet I did.

The last thing I want to mention is that this is exactly how text-message romances should be written. It wasn't cringe-y or overly cheesy, and I loved that it wasn't all texts; they were perfectly capable of having interactions outside of their messaging apps, too, and those were just as precious as anything else. I can't wait to continue this series and honestly fully expect the rest of the books to be just as wonderful as this one was.

After almost 2 weeks, I finally found a book I can rate with 5 stars! Hallelujah!
I liked this book so much! It was so cute and perfect. There are a lot of reasons why this book was a perfect fit for me. But one in particular, was that goat! I mean, come on! How could I resist that lovely goat? I'm so used to cats and dogs... that reading about a baby goat melted my heart.
Delia and Zach had such a beautiful story and I connected with them since that first message (which means the first page - this doesn't happen to me often, so it counts).
It was a light reading and I recommend this book to any romance lover.
Quotes that had a meaning for me in this book:
“When you text someone non-stop for months, you grow used to them, and when they are ripped out of your life, you fall into a total pit of despair. [ I can relate to this quote 100%. It always happens to me. ]
“I miss him like a writer misses their pen.

3.5 stars!

I enjoyed this romcom and that’s saying a lot because I don’t usually read many of them. I don’t know I feel like I’m really picky with them but I’m glad to say with this one I like quite a lot.

The first thing that caught my attention was the blurb I love the whole concept of the MC meeting by text. That’s how this book begins the h getting a wrong text from the H they both think they are texting other people. But even when they realize they’re strangers they can’t seem to stop.

This was my favorite part of the book the way they would talk to each other, share so much in just messages. They both had me cracking up with their banter that was so entertaining. When they finally met I was glad to see that not only did they make each other laugh, but they also had physical chemistry.

But as much as I enjoy this story there was two things that I didn’t like one was the ex boyfriend I really don’t think he was necessary in the story don’t get me wrong he was a total nice guy. He never became a problem between the MC, it’s just a personal preference for me. The other thing was I didn’t like the H reaction to the drama he should of at least try to clear things with the h himself.

Regardless this was a light on drama read, but sexy, and with just the right amount of laughter. I have to mention the the sweetest pet ever, marshmallow! He was precious, stole the show lol! ♥️

I want to read books about epic loves; I don't want to read about two people who will inevitably break up.

Because these two will.

Why? They lack that zing. She describes him as "comfortable, safe and warm". And those adjectives aren't bad per se, but they are NOT the words you use to describe someone you are falling for.

50% of this entire book was a series of boring texts. Not thrilling or banterous or rife with sexual tension. Just boring. Then when we finally get dialogue, it's very teenish and colloquial in a cringeworthy stretched out way like fighting over pop culture or goats or movies. Silly things. It's just annoying. It was like watching a nauseating teen relationship unfold. And we all know teen relationships dissolve like salt in hot water.

Lame. I'd rather read a bad book which entertains as opposed to one which sent me to sleep. DNF around 70%. I tried to persevere.

First of all, A+ for the guy on the cover. The chest, the abs, the jaw and groove in the cheek - RIGHT IN THE SWEET ZONE OF WHAT MAKES ME DROOL IN A MAN!

description

I'm a sucker for hot covers and sometimes I regret that superficial impulse, but unfortunately, I do judge a book by its cover in at least 50% of the situations. So, this def made me want to check it out.

Then, the writing was snappy and quick, which was nice, and I had a smile on my face while I read it most of the time. That being said, it got kinda repetitive after a while, and it was not good enough writing that made me want to pull an all-nighter.

The plot was catchy - very on trend with folks texting and strangers having conversations not F2F but over the net or the cloud or whatever radio frequencies that are all over the airspace now (I am visualizing lots of invisible words getting traded between random strangers all over the world).

So this is where my minus one star comes in. 1) the plot wasn't interesting enough to keep me on the hook. This book is what I read if I don't have anything else more tempting on hand. I went 3 days between starting it, stopping in the middle, and picking it back again. Didn't miss it at all. It wasn't sitting there calling for me to read it. Like a good meal but not the type you wolf down in one sitting at the risk of a belly ache or worse later (you can tell I've done a lot of that, no self-control whatsoever when I like something).

2) it started to get just a little too repetitive, which I already mentioned, so see, this book is making ME repetitive!

3) The bit of drama toward the end with the h and H made me dislike the h. I mean, it's not like she was ever heart-broken. Her friend is awesome. Her ex is even more awesom (where can I get an ex like that?!) so what the hell, the first time there's a remote possibility that her current bf did something wrong, she automatically assumes he has. I don't get where all the mistrust comes from given her history. Other than she's a BITCH! So that really made me mad, and made me want to rip 2 stars off this book. But... I decided to be magnanimous in the end, since I already ordered the sequel.

Overall, a good read. Just what you need if you want something light and fun, not too steamy.

I loved the humor, all the characters, how they met, their texts, the progress, the title and the romance. Actually, there isn’t a thing I didn’t love about Let’s Get Textual. I loved it from the first chapter until ‘The End. I’ll definitely reread this book! I bought a paperback of this novel and I hope to have it signed one day.

I adored Zach and Delia. They are funny, kind, honest and hardworking. They slowly get to know each other and take their time meeting in real life, but I didn’t mind that at all. The wait was worth it. I loved them as a couple.

I wanted a book that made me laugh and I definitely picked the right book. I can’t remember the last time I laughed this much with a book. Let’s Get Textual was hilarious most of the time. The banter was amazing.

Who doesn't love a sexy nerd? I even own a t shirt with I LOVE NERDS lol.
This was the sweetest rom-com I've ever read. The sexy, flirty texting between this two put a smile on my lips the entire time I've been reading this.

#1 Let's Get Textual 3.5 stars
#2 2.5 stars
#3 Can't Text This 3 stars

Maybe because I went into this book without zero expectation, that it turned out better than expected. This book was actually pretty cute.

Delia (h) and Zach (H) 'meet' because Zach was calling a wrong number and thought that he was talking with his client, while Delia thought that the number was her brother. After that misunderstanding, Delia and Zach develop a friendship over text. A lot of their communication is via texting, so be prepared for that if you haven't already guessed from the title lol.

The romance between Zach and Delia is sweet, but my highlight by far was the baby goat Marshmello. I mean hello?? How can you not adore a baby goat?! All these books with animals really make me consider opening my own zoo.

While the text banter between Zach and Delia was enjoyable in the first half, it got pretty repetitive in the second half. The conflict between the main characters at the end was a bit over the top and I wished the author would have gone with another plot line instead of the one she used but whatever.

Let's Get Textual is nothing special really, but if you want a cute, light and fast read. Then you might consider picking this one up.

I have found a new go-to author for my romcom needs!

Surprisingly, this book really spoke to me. I've made quite a few friends through the 'wrong number' scenario and they were just as fun to experience as this book was to read. It took no time at all for Zach and Delia to be texting each other like old friends. By the time these two met, I felt that they were on another level and I loved that the author played it out just like that. There was no wasted time waiting for them to get to know each other now that they were face-to-face. After the initial awkwardness without a phone being between them, their relationship was easy and so so sweet. And it was pretty obvious that they weren't faking it. Who they were by phone were who they were in real life. The experience was fun, flirty, and absolutely adorable.

Zach groans and turns to the waiter. "You, sir, are getting a massive tip." Then he turns to me and winks. "I'll give you way more than just the tip."

With a great supporting cast, people I hope to see in future books, this story turned out to be an unexpected delight. Zach had to be one of the sexiest nerds I've ever met in fiction and I couldn't get enough of him. I wanted more. I wanted his voice so bad. If you're looking for a light read and a great time, then this book is definitely for you!

5 textual stars!!

'Let's get Textual' is the first book in the 'Texting' series by Teagan Hunter.

"You’re the best wrong number that’s ever happened to me."

Honestly after reading this book I want a baby goat😫❤️ (even though I don't have a strange infatuation with goats, nor have I come even come remotely close to buy one as a pet)

Zach and Delia were such a cute couple!! They were off to such a great start and their relationship was beautiful. Normally, when you have a wrong number, you apologise and not even give a second glance to the number, but not these two, Zach and Delia continued to text and flirt with each other.

“You know what I just realized? We didn’t once talk about all that normal ‘get to know you shit you’re supposed to talk about with people. We jumped right in, Zach and Delia style. He holds his bottle of soda up. “Cheers. I like us.

These two are a perfect fit. They compliment each other and have a strange sense of humour. They are attracted to each other without even meeting and their attraction only intensifies when they come face-to-face. Their text conversations and antics had me laughing out loud. This book was a cute, fluffy and hilarious read low on drama and I would totally recommend it. This was my first book by this author and it certainly won't be my last.

“I could love you one day, Zach, I whisper against his mouth.
"I think it’s too late for me, Delia.

SPECTACULAR! Seriously, just get TF outta here with this book! Let’s Get Textual is definitely one of the BEST romcoms I’ve ever read. Hands down. I don’t think there was a single moment where I wasn’t snort-laughing, all-out giggling, or just battling the flurry of butterflies in my stomach. The banter, the chemistry, the modernity of it was just perfect. And don’t even get me started with the text exchanges between Zach and Delia! They were legit ON POINT. They were actually messages you can imagine sending to someone you know (or don’t) in real life. I FREAKING LOVED IT.

Zach Hastings was probably the coolest and sexiest nerd ever. Like he’s a full-on geek, yet his adorable boldness and sweetness, his wit and sense of humor, and his huge, golden heart will stop you on your tracks and knock you on your ass. When it comes to Delia Devlin—I don’t think there could ever be a better heroine that could match, live up to, deserve and rival Zach’s character and personality more than this girl. She just complemented him so well, and the fact that she was spontaneous and up for almost anything makes her a winner on my book.

Zach and Delia’s relationship—that explosive chemistry and sense of comfort they have, together with the endless witty banter between them—won’t ever get old. They were just the exact epitome of adorably hilarious. Hell, this part still has me cracking up like there’s no tomorrow:

“He touched my ass cheek, Delia. Your hand was on my dick and he touched my fucking ass cheek.
I shake with laughter, tears running down my cheeks as I watch Zach stand there and glare at an innocent baby goat.

I’d share with you more quotes or dialogues that made me hysterical with laughter, but I honestly might end up giving you the whole book instead. Teagan Hunter just knocked the humor of this book out of the goddamn park. It was addictive and riveting as hell. Not to mention, Zach and Delia’s meet cute—both on text and face-to-face—was pure absolute PERFECTION.

God, to say that I had a blast reading this would be a massive understatement. It’s definitely one of my go-to books now if I’m in need of a great laugh. Let’s Get Textual has just earned a spot at my top romcom reads this year, and I most certainly can’t wait to read (Zoe’s book) and (Robbie’s book) now!

This was an awesome book. I've been reading some heavier stuff lately and just wanted something completely different, so thought I'd give this a go. It's so good! Witty, hilarious, the banter was amazing and I loved the attraction between these characters.

Now don't get me wrong, I loved this book, but don't pick it up and be expecting some literary classic. It's fluff. Like, 100%, take you out of your life, ignore your problems, kind of fluff. I personally believe that there's a time and place for these books and I happened upon this one at the perfect time and place for me. I loved it. Would definitely recommend.
