A clean script, easy to follow and easy to see the movie in my head as I read it. I don鈥檛 think that anything had been changed from this version to the actual shooting, which is quite fascinating. The dialogue is brilliant, of course. Especially the dialogue delivered by Holmes. I also enjoy the fact that Mycroft gets to play such an important part to both the case and as a brother. It is evident that Moffat/Gatiss love this story, and have latched on to the dynamic of the Holmes-brothers as shown by Billy Wilder. I also wonder if Watson鈥檚 flower behind the ear might be borrowed from here. The script itself had a lot of type-o鈥檚 that I guess they must have corrected later on, but otherwise the script is as close as it could possibly be to the final product. The descriptions are to the point, but evokes a certain mood when reading. Funny, odd, exciting and quite a bit sad, as many movies where in the 70鈥檚. A good read, in short.
