Relationships are complex.
Love ever-changing.
And when it comes to rules of the heart,
they were made to be broken

That’s what Robert Antonio Bianchi was telling himself, anyway.
Otherwise, he really had no excuse for what—or who—he’d done.

No excuse, except for his lonely heart, a pitcher of margaritas, four Bitter Bitches, and the apparent need to confess all his weaknesses to the two men he knew would bring him nothing but trouble.

But trouble was nothing new.

Just ask his crazy sisters or any of his friends, and they’d be the first to tell you:
If there was a bad decision to be made, Robbie always had a knack for making it.

And thus begins the story of the priest, the princess, and the prick.

I absolutely loved the"Temptation"series and I have been a big fan of Robbie, since he was introduced in "Try". I loved how he loved Logan, and I enjoyed his teasing ways ,when it came to Tate. But what I really wanted for him, was to find someone to call his own.... and boy did he !!

https://www.google.com/search?q=oh boy gif

He didn't just find someone though....he found two someones ;)

https://www.google.com/search?biw=1366

Those of you, who have read the last book in the Temptation series, already know Julian "The Prick" and Joel "The Priest". I was so very surprised to find out at the end of "True", that these two were married...and to each other no less. But what shocked me most was their desire for Robbie to join them...in more ways than one....

https://www.google.com/search?biw=1366

I am always a bit concerned, when I start a book about a Polyamorous relationship. I always worry, that one of the people involved, will feel left out for some reason. In this case, Priest and Julian were already married for quite some time....I didn't want Robbie to feel like he was an outsider... I shouldn't have though...

https://www.google.com/search?biw=1366

Now, I don't want to spoiler this book too much, but I do want to say, that I felt like these three really did belong together. They balanced each other out real nicely and I never picked up on any jealousy or unhappy vibes... The only thing I picked up on, was lots of UST ;)

https://www.google.com/search?biw=1366

But as he knelt there between two men he never could've imagined himself between, he felt as though he'd finally found home.

This book was sweet and funny and extremely HOT and I can't wait to find out more about these three men. I know they all carry around lots of baggage, and I for one am very curious about their past.

An awesome start to a new series !! Highly recommended ;)

“Smile, mon cher petit. You make everything that's dark fade to nothing when you smile.

Warning: This is Gushing I call review.

I LOVED! LOVED this book.

When you have, a sassy, loud mouth who takes no shit from anyone Italian Princess, A French chef with dimples who oozes sex from miles and a Dom serious no nonsense loyal with an adorable side that he only shows for the one he cares about.. you get Robbie-the Princess, Julien-the prick chef and Joel -the priest and Holy Batman, Bruce Wayne on a Marvel movie!!!

This book was HOT! HOT! Like really HOT!!

ROBBIE WOKE TO a warm set of lips moving down his spine, and as his eyes opened, he saw the sun was already up and streaming in through the window. He stretched his legs under the sheets, and as he burrowed his face deeper into the soft pillow, he could smell Priest’s soap, and Julien’s shampoo, on them—or was it the other way around? He didn’t know, but a stupid kind of smile hit his lips when the sheet was tugged free and a warm body came down over the top of his.

When I saw it was MMM, I was a bit worried, because I feel someone is always left behind. Here.. that did not happen. These three men had some serious chemistry.

“GOD. YOU TWO are so fucking beautiful together, Priest said in a gruff tone, and Julien’s ass tightened around his cock. Robbie raised his head, his lips now swollen and wet.
Priest’s eyes lowered to Robbie’s delectable lips, and he growled, “I want that mouth.
Julien moaned and shifted, making Priest grunt and withdraw, and then Priest cupped the back of Robbie’s neck and hauled his face over Julien’s shoulder to suck on his lower lip.
Robbie whimpered and cradled Priest’s face, and as Priest shoved his tongue in that sweet mouth, he also drove his stiff dick back inside the sexy man between them.

description

I have loved Robbie since he was introduced in . The cute guy, with a mouth that rivals the suction of a Hoover and who had a HUGE crush on Logan that made Tate jealous. I am so happy he got his book and TWO men to love him. He deserves that.

The romance part was so well done, I connected with each character. I was not even bothered that we did not get much about Priest’s background.... We have 2 more books.

The sad part is the WAITING! WAITING! for book 2...

description

Logan! It is always nice to see my favorite character. Yap! He is number 1 always and forever. I love how protective he was of Robbie and so glad they talked. These two have become good friends.

Julien speaking French and all the food talk

Priest! Priest! ……

“Regrets only happen when you aren’t brave enough to try something that scares you."

Confession (nope, no pun): I have never read MMM. Heck I don't read MMF or MFM all that much. It's the idea of one person usually being added to an established relationship. It makes it difficult for me to believe that all partners in a three-way relationship are equally well loved and there is no imbalance and one of them is left behind, emotionally. So going into "CONFESSIONS: ROBBIE" was a bit of challenge for me but since Ella Frank has written one of my favorite MM series it was a no-brainer that I at the very least (see what I did there?).

This trilogy starts off pretty much about the time when the last book of the Temptation series ended. it's about Robbie Bianchi, Julien Thornton and Joel Priestley, also dubbed The Princess, The Prick and The Priest. With a triple point of view Ella Frank ensures that we get a good feel for all three main characters and their thought processes.

From the first moment Robbie's sassy and fun personality was introduced in he brought a cheeky element into the story. In consistency with Temptation he continues to be the loud, proud, playful and endearing young man, who lights up a room with his cheerful and sweet disposition. He is pure sunshine. That is not to say that he doesn't have a care in this world. Like all people he has had painful experiences but he doesn't dwell on it and moves forward with his eyes wide open. Robbie is a firecracker and with him The Priest and The Prick get more than they bargained for.

Robbie was a burst of sunshine on the coldest of days, and that was exactly what Julien would need next week. A burst of sunshine and a steady hand to hold him upright.

I think we met Joel Priestley for the first time in Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine's love child, the #PresLocked series. He was still living in LA until Logan and Cole (Temptation series) invited him to become a full partner at their law firm. The intense, stoic and closed off Priest has always been an enigma. From the moment Robbie and the charismatic lawyer meet they rub each other the wrong way. In "Robbie" we get to know the real Joel Priestley and he was. UTTER. PERFECTION.

“I knew you were going to be like this. I told Julien: he’s going to be a handful with attitude to spare, but so fucking beautiful when he submits.

I'm totally gone for him. He is protective of those he loves, caring in an unassuming way, which is surprising for an intense man like him and it was then that I fell head over heels in love with him. He is the pillar people use for support, the man everyone looks at for advice. But there is also a darker side about him and that manifests itself in Joel always being in control and deliciously dominant.

“Control, mon cher petit. It’s all about control. And once you understand that, you will understand Priest.

Lastly there is Julien, Priest's husband, who craves closeness and warmth. This and Robbie's zest for life attracts him to the spitfire. Julien is a tv chef with a bad reputation. He is charming, magnetic, a little impish and seductive. But like Priest he is also a top dog which makes their relationship a little complicated. There is no doubt that they love each other, there is always a sense of complete devotion but to balance out their natures they need a third party. Robbie complements them in every way. With his sunny, mischievous and precious personality he brings lightness and a beautiful sweetness into Joel and Julien's marriage that had been missing before.

“We don’t want to change you to suit us, Robert. We want you because of who you already are.

Now. This is Ella Frank and we know what a DIRTY BIRD she is. She writes hands down some of the hottest, filthiest sex scenes and if you think Logan and Tate were hot, Priest, Julien and Robbie will incinerate your Kindle.

Remember when I said in the beginning that three-way relationships are always a little difficult for me? Robbie grows into this relationship. There is absolute transparency about what Priest and Julien expect and complete honesty about their feelings. I adore this. I love that they see the special young man Robbie is. He is being cherished and wooed and there is no doubt in my mind that the connection with him will end up being as deep as the one Priest and Julien share. It just comes so natural because there is no pretense and pure acceptance from the first moment. It's also all kinds of sweet to see Robbie slowly fall in love with the man he used to dislike so passionately.

The last thing Robbie remembered hearing as he drifted off to sleep was the soft tap tap tap of a man who was a little less strange to him tonight and a whole lot of wonderful.

The story is pretty light so far but I'm sure that Ms Frank will crank up the angst in the next installment. There is a lot in the past of Julien and Joel that needs to be explored and I'm sure there will be a little bit heartbreak along the way which will have my emotions all over the place. Well, Ella, bring. It. On.

"CONFESSIONS: ROBBIE" is a solid, enchanting introduction to this new series. Joel Priestley, Julien Thornton and Robert Bianchi have charmed me and left me craving for more of their unique, fascinating and surprisingly homogeneous constellation. The waiting for May begins, when CONFESSIONS: JULIENwill be released:

I doubted it would ever happen, yet here I am, shocked stupid by how much I found myself enjoying a romance that revolved around three men forming a committed polyamorous relationship.

Trust Ella Frank to be the one to knock me on my ass and win me over with a theme that previously (and repeatedly) just hasn’t proved to be “my thing.

She made me root for Robbie, Julien and Priest, and the burgeoning relationship they were tentatively building together here a relationship full of open communication, trust, commitment and unwavering support for all parties involved.

I liked all three men as individuals and even better as a throuple. I experienced their shared chemistry like it was a tangible entity pulsing off the page, and as their relationship became more physical (HOT DAMN!!!), I had no doubts that their emotional connections were growing just as authentically.

They felt like equals, which is an element of huge importance to me, both in real life relationships and in fictional ones, especially if I’m to buy into the realistic durability of this kind of complex relationship working long-term.

Basically, I bought that these three men belonged together. As such, I believe Ella did a fantastic job in making me not only understand the hows and the whys of the way all three men fit together, but she also made me want for them to be together, truly getting me invested in their prospective HEA.

I’ve seen people mention that not much happens here, but it’s the same sort of “not much happening that readers have experienced in previous contemporary series from Frank. That’s to say, there isn’t any crazy action or suspense, or any psychotic OTT plots involving extremely unrealistic side characters running amok and causing trouble for our leads that might come later though, who knows!? Instead, this is just a simple romance story grounded in the everyday, and one that is wholly relationship focused. Granted, it’s a romance involving three hot-as-sin men, two of whom are already married to each other, which is honestly already well and truly more than enough drama and intrigue for little old me to handle on a good day, so I didn’t feel the need for more.

Having said that, I bloody well want more page time with these guys, particularly considering that as expected this first story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger (a mini one of sorts don’t fret) and leaves the reader with many open-ended questions about our heroes. So much is left unanswered, not only where the trajectory of their relationship is concerned, but also when it comes to the reader needing more detailed insights into each man’s personal backstories.

Needless to say, I’m eagerly anticipating the sequel.

P.S. This might just be my favourite M/M cover of the year thus far. A better Robbie cover model couldn’t have been chosen, I’m certain. Absolutely stunning!

P.P.S. Logan Mitchell, baby!!!!!

I think I loved this one even more the second time around. Bumping up to 4.5 Stars! And now I reaaaaaally can’t wait for Julien’s book!!!

4 Stars!

I haven't read Ella Frank in awhile. And while I really loved the first two books of the Temptation series, by the third I was kind of over it. The fact that it ended up being 6 books....#overkill

So, with that being said I didn't know who Robbie was. Truth be told I found him a bit bratty throughout the first 40% or so of this one. He was mouthy and everything he said just seemed flippant and kind of immature.

He grew on me some by the end of the book. And I did end up liking this one as a whole quite a bit. I was engaged throughout. And curious about Robbie, Julian and Joel and how their relationship developed or would develop.

And true to Ella Frank form, it was smoking hot. The three of them together were combustible for sure.

I would assume this series will be at least three books as well, with each guy having a book. My only fear is that I will once again lose interest with each book. But as of now I am curious, and committed and want to know more. Especially after the carrot we were dangled at the end of this book.

****4.5 Stars!!!!****

It seems like it has been a long time since I devoured a book... this book written by Ella Frank... captured my attention and then some! I couldn’t put it down if my life depended on it! It also has been ages since I have read a m/m romance!!! “Robbie is a m/m story and it involves three men and an unconventional situation!
Apparently Julien, Priest, and Robbie were introduced in Logan and Tate’s series, and because of that I feared I might not be able to read this series without reading the other. I can honestly say that I had no problem picking up on all the details, and I wasn’t confused in the slightest!

This story is for readers that are willing to think outside the box!!! I’m fully invested in what has transpired and I can’t wait to see what Julien’s book is going to bring to the table. I have to add for the readers who have never experienced a story written by Ella Frank, that she writes sex scenes that go way beyond hot! She’s the best of the best when it comes to her those scenes! Whether it’s all male or female vs male the scenes will get you all hot and bothered!!! I highly recommend any of her stories!!!

Thanks Steph for the Buddy Read and I apologize for my turbo reading with this one!!! I seriously couldn’t put it down!🤣

4.5 Stunned (but I should know better) Stars!!

Most people who know me know that I like my romance pretty staid. That doesn’t mean boring. I like it just as sexy and explicit as the next person but when it comes to a dynamic that involves more than 2 people, that doesn’t automatically float my boat. At all.

Whelp. I’m eating my own words because Ella Frank is pretty much a freaking genius. She made me accept a married couple who is very much in love with one another, made me understand why such a devoted twosome would want to bring in another to complete them, and let me tell you. Robbie is the luckiest fucking man alive to garner such attention from men as gorgeous, delicious, and dominant as Priest and Julien. Unf!

This is classic Frank, which is a romance that involves all three points of view, and the burgeoning dynamic and feels play out over a very short, but very delicious, week of foreplay, banter, and multiple culminations. Uh huh. So if you like Frank’s step by step, play by play way of unfolding a relationship, then how Priest and Julien entice and woo Robbie into their arms was simply unputdownable. So hold onto your hats for a fabulous ride. Poor Robbie (not really). He never had a chance.

Overall, I still prefer that love should be monogamous between two people. However, Frank has definitely opened me up to something different that was believable and rang true, and I fell hard for all the men involved. Priest and Julien know their faults and failings, and they have an individual depth to them that brought complexity to their backstory that has yet to be fully revealed. What’s clear is that because of their angsty pasts, they know what they want and need to make themselves happy, and that person is Robbie, who would perfectly complete their love circle like no other.

I admit that I seriously balked and was quite indignant initially when I found out that Robbie's story was going to be a ménage, but I’m no less surprised, and very pleased to be so totally in the wrong. This was compelling, of course it was hot as fire, and it made me swoon. There’s so much more to come, and May is going to be a tortuous long wait ahead!

This is my first Ella Frank and it sent me into the reading bat cave. There's not a much higher compliment I can give than that.

However, if you are like me and have not read the Temptation series, be prepared to be a little off kilter. Priest, Julien and Robbie seemingly were all introduced in that series and have history, which made me feel at a disadvantage. I was able to glean some but I now feel I need to backtrack and read that series to fully grasp their backstories.

Priest and Julien are married and have an open relationship. They evidently have been intrigued by Robbie for a few months but left the proverbial ball in his court. Robbie is not a huge fan of Priest initially due to something having to do with his cousin, but he is keen on the temperamental celebrity chef Julien, who he's been crushing on for years. Robbie drunk dials Julien one night and the game is afoot.

If Robbie showed up at their place again, they would take him. They would take him, make him theirs, and there would be no turning back.

What surprised me most about this book was not only how much I found each of these men fascinating or how much chemistry they have or their synergy but the fact that the French dude wasn't the one I was drawn to the most! IKR? No one was more surprised by this development than I, but Priest ate up the page. He has such a presence... gawd, he's intense. Also, ginger. Excuse me, BOSSY ginger.

We've only just scratched the surface of Priest and Julien's past and I have a feeling this is going to be a long hurt/comfort game with a hefty dose of feels. These three communicate well so I know they will make it though I'm sure they will be tested along the way.

"You will never find another person who cares more than Priest. If there's someone he can help, someone he can make a difference for, he'll do it. He's not easy to understand, that's true. But once you do, you'll wonder why it took you so long."

I want that darkness, particularly Priest's darkness and FYI, this installment ends with a huge dangling carrot where Priest's past is concerned. What makes the three of them so special is they all have baggage but that baggage seems to fill in the spaces of the others. Robbie needs to be needed and make others happy. Priest needs control and to protect those he cares for from harm. Julien needs a family that is his safe harbor. I love it when not only do partners need/want each other but are good for each other and as good as Priest and Julien clearly are for one another they need some light to balance out the dark and Robbie is like the sun, chasing away the shadows with his joie de vivre.

"Smile, mon cher petit. You make everything that's dark fade to nothing when you smile."

Considering how sexy this story is I was pleasantly surprised by how nuanced these characters were. And it is sexy AF. The UST builds to epic proportions and when the bough broke it was explosive. There is some mild D/s happening which I'm hoping will intensify as their story evolves. I know. Shocker. What does happen between them will most likely inspire some... ah, "science" breaks.

Hurry up, May. Hurry the fuck up.

Recommend to MMM and hurt/comfort romance fans.

"Regrets only happen when you aren't brave enough to try something new..."

My heart. Holy Jesus.

Don't read this in public, guys. LOL

I've been waiting for Robbie to get his book for the longest time, since I met him in the Temptation Series. You also meet Julien and Priest in those books as well. If you've read those books you also know that this is a M/M/M series.

And I couldn't have loved this book more if I tried.

"You looked good down on your knees just now." Robbie's eyes narrowed a fraction, and Priest smirked. "You disagree?"
"Yes," Robbie said. "I look good everyfukingwhere."

Robbie was sassy, amazing, and hilarious who works at Tate's bar. Priest is a lawyer who works as a partner in Logan's law firm. And Julien is a famous French chef with a new location opening in Chicago.

I have to say, I loved how well Robbie worked with Julien and Priest and their relationship. Everything between them just worked, like it was the one thing they needed to make it whole. If that makes any sense.

As Robbie walked off down the hall Julien thought, not for the first time, that destiny had a way of giving you exactly what you needed when you most desperately needed it. And tonight, destiny had brought Robert Bianchi to their door, exactly when they needed him the most.

This was more than just sex. It was about them figuring out how and what worked with 3 people in a relationship. And the fact they don't care about others opinions? An icing on the cake. It was crazy steamy. The story itself was great, and I loved every second of it.

I love Logan and Tate and there's no one who can take their place in my heart but this comes a close second. It might be one of her best work yet. Oh and there's a mild cliffhanger. It's not that bad so I'm happy about that and I can't wait to read the next two books.

"Smile, mon cher petit. You make everything that's dark fade to nothing when you smile."

We're back in the world of our darlings Logan & Tate! Well, not really - this is a spin-off thingy, but we all met and fell for Robbie & Priest & Julien in the Temptation series ....

If you haven't read TRY & TAKE & TRUST & TEASE & TATE & TRUE you should definitely do it!!
(it's not necessary to understand this, buy why would you want to miss meeting those guys? Huh? READ THOSE BOOKS!!!!)

description

Robbie!
The little barkeeper troublemaker who was in love with Logan!

Now that Logan & Tate are happily married, he has two new men to worry about.
Logan's law-firm-partner Joel Priest and Priest's famous french chef hubby Julien.

Robbie kinda mega flirted with Julien and was already halfway in love with him, when he found out that he was married to Priest. PRIEST of all people. The one person he can't stand! He just rubs him wrong. Even though he kinda secretly wishes he would rub him in some private places.

Grrrr.

But what he could've never imagined ... those two married guys want him. HIM!
BOTH OF THEM!
WHAT???

description

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!

════════════════════

description

description

We've been wanting to hear Robbie's story for so very long - and now here it is!

YAY!!!

description

And I loved it.

Both Priest and Julien have some very dark 'secrets' and sad pasts and both are pretty dominant - that is why they're always looking for someone they can take it out on in a very pleasurable way. Someone to make their (love)life a bit less intense. So far it was only ever one night with a stranger - but now they finally found the one person in the world that would be their perfect fit. But of course they need to take it slow - they don't want to scare poor Robbie away by revealing everything about them too soon.

But so far he's still here. He's very interested.
Let's hope it stays that way.

VERY EROTIC and adorable and funny story. With some very sad and moving and serious moments thrown in. Those three boys will have a LOT more to deal with in the next 2 books. But of course there will also be some very sexy times - just like in this first book!

I really enjoyed reading it and I can't wait for book #2: JULIEN to get here in May!!!

description

There are some tiny little things I didn't love-love - but don't worry - that's just me - I'm very weird! I already had that one problem with other M/M books - I would prefer them to be in the first person POV - because as soon as we have more than 1 man being talked about it gets confusing for me with all the HE'S HIS HE HIM stuff! And here we have 3 guys! Very confusing - you sometimes just don't know who is talking or thinking or who is talking about which of the other 2 guys. Very confusing for this easily confused reader.

The second thing. Priest is an amazing guy. A hot and sexy lawyer - very dominant ovary-exploding-material. BUT. WHY OH WHY does he have to have red hair?!?!?! It's described as auburn here, but it's still red and I hate that. I just can't imagine a hot red-haired guy. I always picture guys like Boris Becker or Pumuckl (if you don't know Pumuckl - google him!) I have yet to meet a hot, sexy, dominant alpha guy that could be my romance hero with red hair. Show me one please!!!

OK - that's it - nothing more to complain about!

I really loved the book and I guess it will only get better with book #2 - there's still so much story to tell about those guys!

This was the unsexiest sexy book I've read in a long while.
It was trying so hard for build-up but it just felt sterile (no pun intended.)

Man 1: "Take off your shirt."

Man 2: "Now you take off your shirt."

Man 1: "And now.... you take off your shirt."

Three men are now sitting shirtless around a table.
Making awkward conversation.
I think they eat a bit? Not sure.

Then they go to bed. To sleep.

Man 1 to Man 3: * intense stare * "You will sleep now."

Man 3: "But I was promised sexy times."

Man 1: * intenser stare *"I said sleep now."

Man 3: "Oooooohkay. * immediately falls asleep*

...
...
...

There are many, many, many boners. These boners never go down and I'm not sure why because nothing these dudes do is in any way sexy. I'm not sure how they're managing to do their jobs or anything else.

By the time it got to actual (anal) sex, I stopped reading. Like halfway through a book full of nothing but boners. The threats of the massive, butt-destroying boner that was coming for Robbie (so to speak) was not sexy. It was weird and creepy. The characters, including their boners, were weird and creepy.

Rich control freaks with huge boners do not personalities make.

I loved it - loved everything about it. Robbie, Julian & Priest. This was a beautiful transition from Tate & Logan’s books and seamlessly moved into the continuing story of their lives. Robbie finally found the courage to contact Julian and both he and Priest came to collect the extremely drunk Robbie from a club. The story unfolds and the relationship develops. The chemistry was off the charts and while tame ( more often than not ) there was an edge to it which kept me reading all day. I couldn’t put it down so that’s just an instant 5 for me ! I hope book 2 comes really fast !!!!

4,5 stars!!! This book is so good. I was so impatient to read this!! Since the first scene I’ve met Priest i was so curious about him. This handsome new lawyer, so arrogant but so fun and also attaching. When I saw him with Robbie: all fire and all flames I was becoming impatient to see them together! But you know if you’ve read Tate and Logan’s story that it would be so hard to “beat them (in my heart) or to be as good as them. These two are just TOO perfect. So when we met Julien (my French brother 😝), I thought that there would be a battle between Priest and Julian to win Robbie’s heart....Grrrrrrr I was so wrong 😂. You can imagine my stunning face why I saw Priest WITH Julien arrived together and introduced themselves as HUSBANDS. I was shaking crazy in the couch 😂, screamed like “WTF? What’s happening here ?”. I was mad at Julien over 5 minutes 😂. Calling him sweet names 😂. But 10!minutes later I was screaming again like «wtf Priest ? Julien ? Are you insane ? Let Robbie alone please 😂. Finally I don’t know why, but the more I thought about it, the more the idea of them together slowly became interesting in my mind 😏. So I started to picture them together and it fits so well 😍. This book didn’t disappointed. Priest: this man is soooo intense, like really intense 😍. He’s exactly like I pictured him (PLUS he speaks French fluently girls, he learns it for his lover 😍😍 what can I say? I love him). I love everything about him: to the way he talks to the way he protects who he loves. Wonderful to see. All along the book we can saw him be more and more his true self and wow => just love for him! Robbie is like always: young, beautiful, and so fun. He’s the sun in this! Not only because he’s the only one who seems to have a “happy background (an amazing Italian big family 😍) but because it was really beautiful to see him finally let go Logan and let his heart beats again. Julien! We know nothing about him before this except that he’s an excellent French chef. In this book we can saw him without his amor, just him. And he’s beautiful. Like a broken piece who needs just another piece to became a whole. And Robbie is just that for him, a bit like the light in the dark. His relationship with his husband is everything. They are so in love. So perfect that I found myself questioning Robbie’s place in this. But when I so these 3 men together, all questioning was over, just one word: sincere. These boys are sincere with each other, true to themselves, no running no drama, no useful fights. I was so impressed by that. They managed to lay the base of their story by being open to what they wanted. And it’s beautiful, intense (like +++++) and it made me smile so much 😍. Can’t wait for Julien and my baby Priest’s stories ❤️. Ella Frank: you are amazing!!! When I first met Robbie I didn’t think he would become a part of this big family! And now I’m so happy that you kept him!:) thank you :) Logan 😘

Sue me, I read it again...

First read; 2018 March 1

”Regrets only happen when you aren’t brave enough to try something that scares you.
~~ Robbie

description

I have always loved Robbie in the Temptation Series . His humor and his infatuation of Logan was adorable. So I was so excited him getting his own series. And what a surprise it was, learning Robbie would be in a MMM relationship.
I’ll say I was not disappointed at all. My.My. these men were hot together!! The sexual tension was dripping from the pages the first 30%

description

Robbie was just a perfect addition to Julien and Joel’s marriage. One of the things Robbie brought to this connection was joy and hope. It was so what Julien and Joel needed in their relationship. Cause the guys have baggage and also 2 alpha men . It totally made sense they needed Robbie to make their realtionship somewhat less intense. I’m not going to say much about the background of the guys but I’ll say I’m looking forward to seeing this all played out.

Julien, “the Prick, chef extraordinaire

description

”And just because you speak French doesn’t mean I’m going to melt at your feet.

“How about kneel? Would it make you kneel at my feet, princesse?

Joel, “the Priest, the complex lawyer

description

I was intrigued by Joel’s character. He’s so mysterious. Always watching, needing to be in control at all times.

I was happy that this not turned out to be just one big-sex-fest. Yes, they are pretty sexy together but I for one can’t wait until we know more about all these delicious men. About Robbie, if he’s able to level out Joel en Julien by just being himself and about learning more about Julien and Joel.

It’ll be a ride.. Is it May yet?

Full review tomorrow when my Kindle isn't in danger of exploding from the heat!

When Robbie Bianchi appeared in Ella Frank's Temptation Series he was one of those side characters who caught my attention and when Joel Priestley, aka Priest came onto the scene a few books later, the sparks were electric.

The UST in this book is palpable, it oozes off each page as Robbie aka the Princess, Priest and his husband Julien aka The Prick, dance around each other and deal with the obvious elephant in the room - their attraction to each other and the desire the married couple have to invite Robbie into their bed.

That the first full blown sexual encounter (there's other equally explosive minor incidents ;) before it) doesn't occur until nearly 70% into the book demonstrates perfectly how much Ella has put into developing the emotional connections between these three men as well as the lust-driven ones.

I'm not going to reveal any spoilers, this book needs to be read blind to fully appreciate the level at which each man needs something from the other. It's not just a hot menage with three sexy blokes getting their rocks off, there is deep, painful traumas at the heart of the actions of two of them.

Robbie is glorious, Julien switches between French joie de vivre but also deep depressions but Priest is the one who has my heart, he holds so many secrets close inside that his control is kept so tight he vibrates with it.

When things finally let go, the emotional outpourings made my heart pound and the sex, well, let's just say that did it for me too *insert hot flush gif of your choice here* as the temperature rocketed.

The cover is stunning and I can't wait now to see what delights are on the front of Confessions: Julien when it releases in May and discover just what drives this talented and tortured Frenchman.

Spin-off of the Temptation series from Ella Frank, this new series is about Robbie and his lust for Julian, a cook who appeared on a TV show and that Robbie met a couple weeks ago at a party but didn’t originally pursued when he realized Julian is married to Priest, a lawyer Robbie knows but doesn’t get along with so well (although me protest too much !!).
However, Julian and Priest didn’t hide the fact that they are looking for a threesome and Robbie is intrigued.

Let’s go with what didn’t work for me.
* First, I had a hard time to buy the dynamics between the three. Julian and Priest are looking for a third in their relationship as well as in their bed and they know Robbie is the one. However, Julian meets Robbie only a few minutes before being fully on board…hard to buy for me.
* Robbie was not a character that got my interest in the temptation series and it doesn't change here so far.
* Finally, the relationship develops fast, really, really fast. Sometimes, it works for me, but here, I cringed a little bit.

What worked for me, then ?
* The relationship between Julian and Priest intrigues me. They both have strong but very different personalities and lots of baggage. I’m looking forward to learn more about that in the next instalments.
* the HOTNESS... Argh, Ella Frank knows how to write very steamy scenes and about chemistry. This is a HOT read, no question about that.

I have to mention that Julian is French/American and uses a few French sentences. I suppose it makes it sexy for non-French readers, but not for me. But kudos, French is not butchered and there is no “French clichés. That's a relief !

So, good but not as good so far for me as the first “Temptation trilogy. Still, I will be waiting to get further into this MMM romance in a few days because…cliffy... but I don’t care : glad I waited before starting this series !!

EWWW I HATED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! which is a shame because all my GR friends seemed to love it.

I started this book 5 months ago and had to stop at chapter 10. I decided to try and get back into but it was a no go. Robbie was annoying me because he obviously liked Julien more. That’s why I have trouble with ménage because I feel like someone is always left out. I liked Priest so it just bothered me how Robbie treated him. Also I haven’t read any of the temptation series so some things confused me. Robbie was just kind of bratty and I didn’t like his character. And Juliet and Priest were pretty bland. Like the author was trying to me them sexy and enigmatic but they bored me. The sex was hot but wasn’t doing anything to me. Things happened in the past were mentioned but never explained. Logan’s reaction to their relationship was weird and rude. I pretty much skimmed this whole book. And I’ve tried to read Ella James before and I just can’t. Also it ended on a fucking cliffy! If I could give this zero starts I would

I have to wait until May for the next book?!?!? Noooooooo!!! I need it now.

Reread 3/29/2018 bumped up to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I’ve already read it again.
Reread 8/11/2018 I needed a little Robbie after a long week
Reread 10/30/2018
Reread 1/16/2019 there can never be enough Robbie.
Reread 10/10/2019 i adore Robbie so much. I truly hate that the audio for this didn’t live up to the book. It would have been on constant repeat.

Comfort reread 3/9/2020 I won’t change my rating, but it wasn’t the same. Bad mood? Maybe 🤷🏽‍♀

Reread 2/22/2021 much better than last time, but calling anything they did as d/s is laughable IMHO.

Reread 2/21/2023 funny almost 2 years to the day since I last read this. I’m rereading now while I contemplate reading book 7 that includes a surprising female character. I don’t typically READ girl parts anymore, so we shall see.

Reread 8/6/2023 after reading books 7-9.

The first book in the Confessions series was extremely HOT!!! 🔥🔥🔥

I've been super curious about Robbie's story ever since I've read the Temptation series. And this one didn't dissappoint! Joel and Julien are a perfect couple, but they needed Robbie and well they finally got him. Julien was so sexy with his French accent and easy going personality, but I was more curious about Joel Priest. He's so hard to read... I was dying for him to warm up on Robbie, and HE SO DID. Fireworks and then some more!

I'm looking forward to reading the next books in this series! I loved the writing!!!

the priest, the prick, and the princess, united at last.

i really fucking loved this. 9 times out of 10 i'm more excited for the side characters' relationships than i am in the main story. i guess i'm fickle like that. but when the side characters get their own series!!!! i get EXCITED. and this really didn't disappoint.

in the end of the temptation series, we get introduced to the possibility of some sort of relationship between the sweet and sassy Robbie and Julien or Joel. in the start of this book we get an answer to what kind of relationship that might be.

and. i. loved. it. i don't want to spoil anything for anyone but i have such a soft spot for the non traditional or minority. my life motto is "if it isn't hurting anyone, live your life how you want to." i respect and admire people who are willing to go against the grain in search of their own happiness. and this book was really a testament to that. i was a little skeptical at first at how things were going to play out, but i loved that every character was intensely happy and fulfilled by their relationships.

it also didn't hurt that each character seems to have AWESOME backstories. okay maybe not awesome as in super fun, but there were really cool flashbacks/hints of things that might become interesting in future books. and in general, each character was someone that i rooted for and wanted to know more about.

also in my opinion, it was a major improvement over the temptation series. there was a good amount of sex (as opposed to like one scene in every fucking chapter) AND the characters are already seeming a little more complex.

overall i was so impressed by this book and cannot wait for the rest of the series. if you've got an open mind & a big heart i think you'll absolutely love this MM book.

3.5 Stars...

It was really hard to read this spin-off of the Temptation series without craving Logan and Tate. Maybe it would have earned more stars without that unfair comparison. As it was, the extra .5 Star I gave the book was simply because it was connected to my favorite MM couple of all time (although, Ty and Zane give them a run for the money).

As the title states, this one focuses on Robbie, who we met in Try as the saucy, flirty barista who couldn’t leave Logan alone. Now he’s grown up, gone through some ups and downs, but is still the flirty Robbie we all love.

So what happens when said Robbie gets courted by the tv reality chef of his dreams, Julien and his husband, the hated Priestley? Robbie, never one to run from a challenge, gets interested. Really interested. This married couple aren’t looking for a fling, or a hookup. They’re looking for a third to add to their polyamorous relationship. And Robbie digs this, even though it scares him.

So, this isn’t even close to Try. I felt some tension. But something was missing. Parts of the characters were missing. We learn a lot about Robbie. A little about Julien. And next to nothing about Priest. Maybe that’s why I didn’t get the feels here.

The sex scenes were great. Priest and Julien have a D/s relationship with Priest calling the shots and it works well here. Nothing more extreme than, “you can’t come until I tell you, or don’t speak.

There is a cliffhanger ending which centers on Priests past.

Will I read the next one? Of course. It’s Ella Frank, and I get to see three hot men get all sexy. And of course, there are the Logan and Tate cameos (we got a scene with Logan here straight back from his honeymoon)!

So, don’t expect Temptation Redux and this should go OK for you. Happy reading!

OMG how cute are these three :)

When I started this book I was not sure if I will like it because I normally don't like threesomes that much. But as a lot of my GR friends reviewed Robbie this good I had to give it a try.

I am a sucker for the bad tempered guys which you not get from the beginning so Priest is it for me in this book but also Julien and Robbie himself are loveable and greatly written. You can see them in front of you while reading which for me doesn't happen often while reading.

The only let down was that I silly girl didn't figured out that Confessions#1 means obviously that their will be more books which are not available yet *facepalm* I hate waitin...

Hawt damn...

Ella Frank the creator of my fave M&M (yeah, i did it on purpose😂) couple , Logan & Tate brought another hawt sexy drama between Priest ( aka hardass lawyer Priestly), The Princess (aka Robbie) and The Prick (aka Julien Thorton), a married couple who wanted/needed a person to fulfill each of their inner missing parts, and they found it in Robert 'Robbie' Bianchi.

But of course, besides the thrilling sex, they each have a baggage and the potential relationship between them is a credible possibility if and only if, they each deal with the inner struggles and private issues...

Okay, first off, only Nicole Edwards, besides now, Ella Frank writes the MM and MMM combo in such a way, I keep holding my fuckin breath until the scene is over😂

Yeah, they are THAT fuckin good...and that s an understatement too!

Phew, glad we got that out of the way...

But, inspite of that thrilling segment, it wasn't enough to pull through the lack of substantial component in the plot-action.

I know, this was a drama and the emphasis should be on the 'emotional' aspects of the characterisation but I felt like nothing was happening besides the coupling...and the very hawtness just didnt bring me the culmination i expected...

Sure, there are sequels, and yeah, I ll read them, but only cause I am now expecting MORE of the background explanations in the lives of these characters...I just need more *fingers crossed*

 4 stars

“We don’t want to change you to suit us, Robert. We want you because of who you already are.

A very promising start to what I did not expect to be one. I have not read the series in which the three main characters were previously introduced - and I'm not sure I have the patience just yet to read a 6+ book series dedicated to only a couple quite yet - but one of my personal goals of 2024 is to read more MMM romances. 👍🏻 I know polyamory is not for everyone; but I am curious to see how different authors tackle the emotional connection between more than two people, that does not solely rely on physical intimacy. Plus, apart from solid editing, well-written and gripping dialogue, and seamless alternations between the three perspectives, which satisfied the finicky reader in me, Ella Frank provided enough insight into their existing personalities as well as background to their history with various hints/flashbacks throughout that made invested in their unique relationship to turn for more.

A part of me believed like Eliot - the loyal best friend who encouraged Robbie to throw normalcy and reason out the window and embrace the lottery ticket of having two delicious studs who thought he was the perfect choice - 'who not only fit them physically but who also completed the complicated, jagged puzzle that was them' and who wanted to spend some quality time with him on a more personal and intimate basis. 😏

A part of me behaved like Logan - Robbie's boss, the one who got away - as well as the embodiment of desire and perfection and whose recent marriage is one of the reasons for Robbie's spiral into temptation - who senses that the two objects of Robbie's desire were simply preying upon Robbie to soothe their own urges for their claim - not entirely sure that he won't end up feeling used or like a third wheel. 😥

Relationships are complex. Feelings follow no rules.

“Any relationship is risky.

“But, it’s a risk we want to take because we want you to be ours.

But then there is the part of me that agreed with Robbie, and which feeling, eventually won out - was that he really was not doing anything wrong. That when he was presented with the offer at the most opportune of moments, who was he to deny it and have a little fun and see where it goes? 🥲 Even though the idea is a scandalous one - a married couple, 'two very available, very intriguing, super-hot men interested in him' - and there is always the hint that he won't feel entirely emotionally safe with them, their interest and offer came to him at a time when he himself was nursing the recent wounds of a broken and rejected heart.

And for someone like Robbie who had not been accepted or loved - rejected for who he was - it is such a rewarding feeling to be loved and appreciated just as he was, by two arrogant Alpha, so to speak, who were 'like gods come down to plunder all mortals—or at least hopefully me'- then why not? 😌 It's not only a boost to his own self-confidence - to bask in his own self-worth and indulge in some throes of passion to soothe sharp sting of loneliness and abandonment - but his own journey in discovering what it is that he wants in life - and who wants to share his life with. That the Prick and the Priest believe that this Princess can be their light and savior out of the darkness that more often than they would like to admit would claim their hearts. 💞

Smile, mon cher petit. You make everything that’s dark fade to nothing when you smile.

It was a lovely read, I was really pulled into Robbie's story and his path of self-discovery of having the chance to be with those who wanted him - loved may be too soon to say - but the slow build up to acceptance is there. It was easy to read, a little light-hearted at times, but the humorous tone was spot-on; a fair counterpart to their sizzling chemistry with an edge of angst to it, as well; one that came forth when Julien or Priest's past demons spread their wings, or even Robbie's uncertainty of whether or not this was worth it. 🥺 'Destiny had brought Robert Bianchi to their door, exactly when they needed him the most.' It tread softly on everything, that gave it a very wholesome and different vibe for me. It was different, and a bit adventurous, because they are taking a chance. It's a big one, but you can see that all three are happy and do want to make it work; even if it's only been a week, the fact that they're trying to build something beyond just the bedroom means something.

The first half really felt like one long drawn-out foreplay of temptation and coaxing - one where Julien and Priest worked their best to make sure Robbie understood that their invitation to him was not solely sexual - even though the innuendo and lustful gazes is lain on thick; but, it wasn't only that. 'You are bright and vibrant, and Julien and I are drawn to everything about you.' 🫠🫠 It was the two of them doing their level best through their actions and gestures, as well as words to reassure Robbie that it was not only a latent predatory desire they were leaping upon for a quick romp in the sheets - they wanted him - for keeps. They ease into him being comfortable in their presence; it is a hard bargain - a celebrity crush and a sworn enemy, but it is impossible and irresistible to refuse.

There is a vast difference between wanting someone’s trust so that you can give them all that they need, and wanting someone to change to become the things that you need.

And when they work to show him that it's not just about wooing him, but assuring him that he understood their intentions of not being taken advantage of, in any way - to build a future with them in which he could learn to love them - it is a complex idea, but it can be a beautiful one, too. Hence, the prolonged wait before they finally do act upon it. I started to understand why she felt necessary for them to be cautious and careful, so Robbie knew where he stood with them; for him to believe that he was not simply being used and then tossed aside and that they wanted him to know them - forever. 😥 'Julien and I—we’re very happy that you wanted to take a risk with us.' So, when they finally do act upon their horny mutual attractions - the passion and desire felt so much more intense. All that teasing - all the innuendo - all the ways they flirted with the expectations, the fruit of that labor paid off in style - threefold. 🥰

I liked their energy - it sparked with such heat and a want of yearning and temptation. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍ The subtle touches, and biting and funny banter that sexy little spitfire Robbie didn't shy away from showing his cheeky and playful side to ruffle up Priest's bossy self and his hunger for dominance, while still reassuring that everything came from his heart - only soothed by the comforting and soothing words of Julien's that the play is worth the pleasure. It felt warm and wholesome, despite the sizzling chemistry that radiated desire hotter than whatever delicious temptation Julien whipped up for them time and time again. 'Good morning, boys, shocked that I can still walk this morning?' 😅 The vibe never felt unnatural or unforced, despite Robbie's inner reservations, he never held back in holding his own against the two of them or having the courage to be vulnerable with his emotions - which made them yearn for him more. I didn't seem put-off by any of their smexy times, because of how equal they were in the give and take of being with each other. Every kiss, every touch, was laced with so much trust and I was rooting for them to make it work. 🫠🫠

The love between Julien and Priest also was one of trust and deep devotion - 'never seen two people more in sync with how they’re feeling'. They have a desperate need to care for each other and protect one another and know the innermost secrets of their true selves. I liked that Robbie was enjoying himself - that he was finally happy - being the object of their affection - sort of getting his dues for his own budding attraction to them that he's carried all this time of finally feeling wanted. 'When I’m with them, I can be me and I feel safe. I feel special.' ❤️‍ ❤️‍ The two of them were so protective of his feelings already - that I felt that it was not just provocative teases and whispering French delicacies that they hoped from him. It is a big step for them, as well and I loved when Robbie asked questions, voicing his hesitancy and insecurities about entering such a strong committed relationship as theirs - even as the softly and gently reassured that he was the missing piece of their hearts - that they wanted him - for him. Their happiness became contagious, as well as the brief moments where it became a matter of healing and honesty.

Regrets only happen when you aren’t brave enough to try something that scares you.

That final moment of Logan's intervention-confrontation - I teared up at Robbie's heartfelt confessions - was a healing stage for him that gave him the window of opportunity to gain closure and heal the pain in his heart. I know Robbie felt more comfortable basking in the softness of Julien's arms, but it was the palpable intensity between him and Priest that I LOVED; how someone he hated - okay, well, hate is a strong word, but more like intimidated by him for so long, because of how daunting his presence always felt to him - could be so protective and caring for him at that moment when he was caught between still appeasing Logan's heart, and torn between trusting his heart to two others - beautiful. 🥹🥹

It was such a raw and emotional scene - one that slightly tempts me to stop here, so I can read the previous series to get some insight into Robbie's background; but I am already in too deep with these three to abandon them just yet. 😆 Especially with the cliffhanger we left off on! But, yeah, Logan's one and only scene - even though his presence is prevalent throughout - just hurt and healed me all in one, so I can only hope that the next step in their lives is one on the path towards happiness. So the cloud that had darkened all three, finally had the chance to allow a little sunshine in. 🫶🏻 🌤️

5 Three Men for the price of One Stars

I do not know how Ella Frank does it but every time I start one of her books she puts me under a spell, she has me hooked so much so that even when I am not reading about her sexy men I find myself thinking about them and I cannot wait to get back to my kindle, I read this in under 4 DAYS and for me this is FAST.

I loved every second of Confessions: Robbie, I have read one other series like this when there are 3 men in the mix, so I knew what to expect sort of.

I was curious how Robbie and Priest would work as their previous encounters never went well in last 3 Temptation books.

Robbie Bianchi, I remember well throughout the Temptation series he has been in love with Logan Mitchell (join the club) forever. After the revelation at the Christmas party that Priest is married to Julien who flirted with Robbie one night at the bar and even gave Robbie his number that they both wanted Robbie in their marital bed. Robbie out of loneliness one-night drunk dials Julien and it all begins from there.

When it comes to Joel “Priest Priestley the phrase “don’t judge a book by its cover comes to mind, he is a different man when you see him with Julien and after a while also with Robbie sorry Robert even though he needs the control (which is HOT) he has a softer side that comes out when his men needs him, he is the glue that holds them together.

Julien “the Prick Thornton is new to me, his celebrity reputation as The Prick does not come out in this book anyway, he is Robbie’s big celebrity crush and if Robbie wants Julien he has to take Priest as well.

As I already mentioned I loved everything about this story, getting to know all the men better as they get to know each other and the SEX HOLY HELL (had my lady parts tingling), I felt nerves for Robbie at times as he did not know how far he could go as they are married but they discussed everything. I loved by the end how comfortable Robbie and Priest were together.

Of course, I must mention how much I loved having an appearance by Mr Logan Mitchell and his reaction, hoping I will get the other Mr Mitchell in the next book, I will stop my review now as I could go on and on about these AMAZING MEN in Ella Frank’s world.

I cannot wait to continue this series and find out what the future has in store for them and discover more about Priest and Julien’s pasts.
