I don鈥檛 have the words for this one.

We have 3 single men, above their 30鈥檚 who鈥檚 personality is all about 鈥淥mg鈥 I could never date a woman鈥, 鈥溾€滱ll women are the same鈥, 鈥淚 hate marriage鈥. They each have their own reasons of why they鈥檙e not particularly into dating and remain single forever (that is a deal they made).

You see where I鈥檓 going with this?

Well, guess what! 3 women appear that are exactly the opposite of what they deal with.

One of them deals with desperate and broken women that need therapy? Have a lady that is actually sane

One of them only dates young ladies and basically one-night stands them and is not looking to marry anyone because all girls want is his money or to have boob surgeries, that HE willingly gives them? Have a lady that is looking for anything but that and genuinely loves him

One of them is afraid of being alone and abandoned if they find out who they truly are? Here, have one of them who鈥檚 secret is what you鈥檙e most afraid of.

It鈥檚 not any spoiler, don鈥檛 worry, that鈥檚 just genuinely what the entire book is about. The couples basically developing and having their own relationship issues and blablabla.

It was alright. A bit too long for my taste but alright.

I read up until Chapter 3 and then couldn't read anymore. I just found it so boring!

Since I hate leaving books unfinished though, I did thumb through the rest. Charlie falls for a woman who lies about her background since she is even richer than he is and wants to make sure he is interested in her and not just her money. He resents her a bit and then gets over it. They get married and she gets pregnant.

The lawyer (I forget his name) gets a girl who is only a few years older than his daugher pregnant the first night even though he claims he doesn't want more kids. Well, here's a thought-use protection! Steel makes the character admit that he likes his women younger than 25 even though he is in his late 40's early 50's. That always makes my skin crawl. Anyway, despite his numerous claims that he doesn't want to get married again and no more kids, at the end of the book he is married and wifey is pregnant again.

Gray was an alright character but I just couldn't relate. He liked damaged women and then wondered why they would leave him after he fixed them. He finally meets a woman who isn't damaged and it seems to take awhile for him to feel any attraction to her. Despite this, surprise surpirse, they end up getting married by the end of the book.

I am sure there was more to it than that but like I stated earlier, I just couldn't get interested in this book.

As always with Danielle Steel, I was not disappointed. She has an amazing way of drawing you into the lives of her characters. One of the things I took away from this book is that you can not live your life in fear of what may happen. With each of her characters, you see how the only thing keeping them from happiness is their own selves. I also liked how there was more than 1 love story to follow in this book.

I personally did not like the book I got a few chapters in and I could not stay interested in it. I was particularly annoyed with how it gave the same descriptions over and over in the first few chapters.

The first few pages will give you an insight to Charlie, Gray and Adam's lives together and it's pretty...gay. Not gay gay just too clingy to each other. It's pretty repetitive. Not just the words throughout the book (like deal-breaker, eggs being cooked, etc) but also how they love each other and there always having the time together on that dang big yacht.

Anyway, it's your typical wishy washy, lovey dovey, happy ending book. I gave it four stars just because I am still in love with the idea of that perfect someone. But Steel could've done more for her characters. The way they spoke to each other was too...the same. There's not really much personality except when she repeatedly describes what is basically on the blurb of the book. I guess it was really hard to put together 3 stories for these six people in one book. And fitting them inside it was like "Whoa, so they ALL just suddenly fell in love after the yacht trip?!" It's just too fast. For me, at least. Because really, no one has it figured out in less than 5 months.

I liked Carole (tho her name bugs me, I don't know why. Caroline fits her more I guess) and her work. I loved Gabby and Zorro. I suddenly wanted to be filthy rich and give out money for those kinds of causes. But I'll have to settle for Charlie who's rich as a king. Sucks not to have a family, though.

Gray and Sylvia's story was not that interesting. I mean, she's the opposite of what Gray likes and then he falls in love with her. Ta-da!

If I could have given this book a zero star rating I really would have. It was probably the worst book I've ever read. I was forced to read it when stuck in a train station outside of Chicago at 2:00 a.m. waiting for the cab I'd called to show up and take me back to my hotel. I had to wait for more than an hour, and saw this book on the shelf and picked it up thinking it would be good for a laugh. It was not. It straddled that delicated line between mediocre and ridiculous that can only be called one thing: total crap.

Loaned to me by a friend. I'm not a Danielle Steel fan, so we'll see how it goes. (Don't want to disappoint my friend by pooh-poohing it without giving it a chance.)

This was an okay book if you like RO-mances (which I don't), with some conflict (poor rich folks had some short-lived issues) but everyone living happily ever after (too unrealistic). Danielle Steel does write well, I just don't much appreciate her story lines.

驴Era aquello lo que quer铆an? 驴En qu茅 demonios estaban pensando? Dif铆cil respuesta a esa pregunta. 鈥

I used to love Danielle Steel, she was my escape from heavy books that left me feeling deflated. The last couple books of her's just left me feeling like they were enjoyable but not something I would recommend. Maybe it is because I am listening to them on audio and she is one of those authors that just reads much better. In any event this one was good, I felt invested in the characters and the story line was ok. At some points it was just boring, predictable or (I hate to say it) stupid.

AMAAAZING!!! I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. I was unenthusiastic about reading it at first. The only reason I started it in the first place was lack of another book. It turned out to be one of my favorite books of all time!!! I loooooooooooooooved the ending, particuly adam's ending. I breezed through this book so quickly and couldn't put it down. Great summer read!! Ily, danielle steel!

Nope.

This is a book about a bunch of guys who are jerks who meet a bunch of women who are only validated by "rescuing" them. Probably the last thing anyone in the world needs to read.

But hey, if it's your thing... one guy pretty much needs a mom, one guy needs to buy a clue and one guy... I don't know, needs to date women older than his daughter. It's all pretty gross from all angles.

Another from the TBR pile...Why did I ever think she was a good author?? Every book is the same - rich handsome man or beautiful woman has troubles (either love or life), suffers through it all with their money and come out the end still rich, still beautiful and of course, now fabulously happy. Yikes - so real life but I guess that's why she is so very popular. But unfortunately, not for me. I wonder how many more I have in my boxes of books???

Three eligible bachelors are the best of friends who all have commitment issues. Charles Harrington, who lost his loving parents when he was 16 and his sister dropped out of school to look after Charlie. Unfortunately, his sister died of a brain tumour 5 years after losing his parents. Although his inheritance was more than ample, his relationships always seemed to end before they even started. Engaged several times, Charlie felt that perhaps he couldn't make it all the way to the altar because he feared abandonment issues due to the tragic loss of his family.

Adam Weiss who is a successful lawyer working working with starlets was once married and has two children. Unfortunately the marriage ended with his wife taking his children away from him. Adam is the youngest child in his family who came along 9 years after his older sibling. An inconvenience for his sister as well as his parent which they never would let him forget. Adam is now very bitter after his divorce and would rather spend his love life engaged in one night stands. He prefers not to get close to anyone of the opposite sex again.

Gray Hawk was brought up basicaly by his drug induced hippie parents who moved from place to place to place. He believed his parents liked him and his siblings okay, but he never felt the kind of parental love he should have. There was always a vacant feeling inside him. He vowed he would never have children to recreate the same misery he felt through the years growing up. So he was constantly dating women who had 'issues'and needed dire help. Usually they were in desperate need for psychiatric help or even to be institutionalized.

How could these three broken men with their painful baggage ever find true and everlasting love.

Me gust贸 much铆simo.
Totalmente disfrutado y redomendad铆simo!

The way Danielle takes you through the lives of people is different. In this book, I could see the compromises which a person has to make while transitioning from being single to getting committed has been splendidly explained through the lives of all the three men!! Well I don't have to say , it was a page turner ,all her books are !!

In Toxic Bachelors, Danielle Steel told us another tale from a different POV for her main character--men's. For Charlie, Gray and Adam, they were three commitment-phobic confirmed bachelors and best friends for life. Charlie, a handsome philanthropist, wanted a special someone with high expectations for Mrs. Right; Adam, a 40-year-old celebrity lawyer, preferred his women young and for short-term, while Gray, a gifted artist, couldn't imagine having a family with the woman he with. When one summer they were on Charlie's cruise during their summer holiday vacation. When summer ended for them, the fall season would bring them a hard dose of reality, when they fall hard in love. We watched how their love lives unraveled during the fall and how they couldn't complain about who they fell for. When another holiday season came along, it was up to them to face their fears first and tackle the most intriguing adventure of them all--love.

Three close male friends, each allergic to marriage for his own reasons, meet woman who challenge their concepts of that institution. There were heart-warming scenes, but the dialog was rather weak and the characters fairly stereotypic. This is the first of Steel's books I've read and afterward a friend told me he had read many of her books and found them all very similar. From her list of past novels, it looks like she pumps them out at the rate of two or three a year, but I reluctantly added the rest to my reading list. I learned of this book from its presence on the New York Times best seller list in the latter part of 2005.

This is a story about 3 bachelors, one who was left very wealthy by the loss of his parents at an early age and his only sister at 21, the second who was also very wealthy, an entertainment lawyer who grew up in a very dysfunctional family and the third a starving artist who also came from a very dysfunctional family. The 3 are the best of friends who all have very distraught views of relationships and marriage. This is a story of friendship, growth and finding true love. Is an easy read and delightfully entertaining.

I didn't think I would like this book. As the story starts three very shallow men are on their boat, the Blue Moon, sailing near Italy. Charles used women, never committing. Adam with many girlfriends giving them all the material things they wanted, and getting tired of them. Gray always wanted to heal the wounded. In the year after they vacation, they all found the loves of their lives. THIS BOOK TURNED OUT TO BE VERY GOOD.

6 people, each with some type of hang up about relationships. Each person has a wonderful heart and I fell in love with each person as they worked out their problems slowly but surely. An awesome book that reminded me that people can work through their problems if they want to and if they have the right incentive to do so. As always, Danielle Steel hit a home run in my book!

We as readers are taken along the journey of three different men and there paths toward love. This story shows that love can come when we least expect it and in the most unlikely places and our preconceived notions of our type are usually all wrong and the person that right for us is just the opposite of that.

Older book sitting on my bookshelf, decided why not do a trashy romance novel for summer? Quite predictable yet I read the whole thing...an easy, mindless read but wouldn't recommend you rush to the store and pick up a copy :)

This is no literary masterpiece and you shouldn't expect that out of Danielle Steel. Toxic Bachelor is one of those books where you know the ending by the time you complete chapter 2. Entirely predictable but sometimes, you need a 'feel good' read. Purpose served.
