Did I really just witness QUEEN AIDEN getting all mushy and hearty-eyed when he saw Nicholas fight?!! Oh boy, this is going to be fun!!! *lol*
Also their coach!! OMG! I swear coach really knows every trick in the book! So cunning! I’m living for this! <333 What a motivation boost for Seiji and it didn’t even need a pep talk. XD That’s how you pull the strings of your puppets. Haha! Way to go! Coach you’re incredible!
Is it just me or did Seiji almost sound like an annoyed spouse?! *lol*
AND my favourite part:
”No, you don’t understand. Aiden beat Seiji. If I beat Aiden that’s like I beat Seiji. “Ah! An indirect win. The same concept as an indirect kiss!
Bless Bobby for immediately thinking about an indirect kiss! <333
Same problem as with every issue that came before: I WANT MORE!!!!
(4.5 ★’s) There are four things you need to know or else your life is forfeit:
One. Aiden is the devil and my love and yes you should be absolutely terrified because he plays with emotions and minds as a lil baby boy does with his toys.
Two. If you remove noses (and no not the way Voldemort wore it) and make everything and everyone round, you’d achieve unprecedented cuteness in your drawing to match the mood as you switch from refined to omg-why’s-this-so-adorable. And y’all know how I stan creativity and thus I can do nothing but stan Johanna the Mad because damnnnn her growing creativity in emanating the matches is mad. But also the hilarious cuteness.
“Aiden beat Seiji. If I beat Aiden that’s like...I beat Seiji. “Ah! An indirect win. The same concept as an indirect kiss!
Three. I’m sure I’ve already said this by I feel obligated to say it again: Nicholas is an unstoppable, adorable, clueless dork and Seiji an insufferable, suffering, emotional hedgehog and how they mutually rile one another up and are the other’s motivation for trying harder makes them the perfect match while providing me with the best servings of humour.
Four. Coach has practically called dibs on shipping Nicholas and Seiji oh boy, this clever clever woman is a mastermind and totally that one friend who stays up late plotting how to set up two of their gay friends together.
Okay you can now shoo. The days lessons are over and yes I loved this even though it wasn’t add layered as the previous one it still thoroughly monopolies my attention and that’s what I call good entertainment. Moving on.
The best issue ever yet! Nicholas just had his very first win and Seiji had his first loss in King’s Row to a fencer who’s not as good. The tensions are rising in the air, the stakes are becoming higher and the fencers are more enticing than ever. I need my issue like ASAP. 😍
- NICHOLAS. Deserves the world - The Seiji and Nicholas bathroom interaction? Iconic - "an indirect win" jfhgjdf - everyone needs to calm down a lot but i do love them - I WISH THESE WERE LONGER
The boys at Kings Row Academy are still battling it out in their fencing tryouts, fighting for the coveted top three spots on the team.
Seiji is still having a moment (see: hissy fit) after his shocking loss to playboy creep Aiden in issue #5.
Nicholas returns and makes a comeback, surprising his peers with an impressive win, putting him on equal footing with Seiji, much to Seiji's dismay and Nicholas's epic delight.
I enjoyed this issue and I like where this story is going. I can't wait for more.
5/16/18 OMG! Nicholas was adorable in this. His blushing face 😊
Poor Jay. Aiden did that on purpose lol. Also little Seiji and Jesse are so cute!! 😍😍😍
-------------------------- Not related to issue 6 but if you're not aware, you should go online and check out the covers for issues 7, 8, and 9. They're going to be done by HamletMachine, the creator of the web comic Starfighter. A series I coincidentally just discovered before hearing this news 🤔
I'm in love with them already. My favorite cover is either issue 8 or 9. So excited! This coming from someone who usually doesn't like variant art b/c I prefer just having the main artist, but HamletMachine will forever get a pass from me.
wAIT did I just witness Aiden hitting on Nicholas? 👀 now THIS is the kind of stuff I’d really like to see. Also the fact that the coach knows how much Nicholas gets under Seiji’s skin and uses it to her advantage is savage as hell.👏🏼 Anyways, not gonna lie, this issue was pretty damn funny and I’m quite hyped for the next one. Please, give my boy Aiden all the spotlight he deserves!🤺
¡¡¡No puedo soportarlo!!!
"Seiji. I meant what I said to you. This is my chance to prove myself and I'm not going to let it get away. All I have to do... Is win."
The coach gained all my respect and stole the entire focus of this issue in my opinion. She knows just how to push her team to be the best they can be and, though her methods are a bit... interesting, she really supports and strengthens them.
Aiden is as always really cute for an arrogant, full of himself jerk and I had a lot of fun seeing his fans just swooning for him all the time.
Nicholas's obsession with Seiji is kinda cute but also a bit much. But, hey! It manages to improve him so, I guess, whatever works for you pal.
*clap, clap, clap*
It was fun! But still I WANT MORE PLOT!! And truthfully, I wouldn't be mad if the romance started already... At this point I don't even know if there will be ANY romance... :(
My monthly frustrating 10-minute read has been, as usual, lacking of smooching but full of fencing. And we got to see a super smiley Nicholas and that was worth the wait!
So Seiji lost his match against Aiden and he is of course furious but now it's not time to focus on Seiji because it's time for Nicholas match against one of Aiden's many heartbroken lovers. I'm glad people finally saw what he is capable of; now they won't keep underestimating him, they will now he can fence and he will only improve if given the chance.
I loved how coach blocked the door to the bathroom when Seiji was inside brooding and feeling sorry for himself but when Nicholas came looking for him, she let him pass. She knows that somehow, amidst the rivalry, Nicholas' words and personality go through Seiji's super stubborn head.
So much smiling. I'm still happy about the smiles I saw and Seii's angry face being a 5-y.o. because of Nicholas. I love them so much. This comic is getting better and better and I can't wait for more!
