उफ यह लड़की

Haniya is a happy-go-lucky and impetuous girl. What happens when people start to tag her as such?
This is light-hearted, breezy short novel, that focuses on general prejudice and judgmental behavior towards people based on preconceived notions. It highlights those small problems that are conveniently ignored in society.
It is hard to find fiction that not only helps to relax, but also leaves a long lasting impression. It may not necessarily talk about the biggest issues of this world, but will teach small lessons on philosophy of life, tiny things that we tend to overlook in today's fast pace era.

"Uff Yeh Ladki" is my first work of fiction that got published as eBook, and in naisoch digest. It is as close to my heart as the first born to a parent.
I hope to convey a message without compromising the entertainment factor. This is the first attempt. I hope readers like it just as much.

The book is as "short" and "breezy" as it claims to be. It was just what I needed to be honest I hadn't read an Urdu book in months and a light, quick read is just what the doctor recommended.

"Warm, fuzzy and unsurprisingly indistinguishable" is how I would describe it. There is nothing out of the ordinary and nothing I haven't read before. That would have been vexing had I expected it to be that but since I hadn't I was able to relax and enjoy it. Because truthfully, it is rather enjoyable.

Even if it does have overused and stereotypical things like an abundance of shaadis, silly shenanigans of a large family and an adorable but clever heroine. I got the message the writer implicitly tried to convey but I feel like it was buried under a lot of cliches and didn't make much of an impact.

I liked how understanding and sweet Haania's family was. One particular instance that proved this was somewhere in the beginning when people come to ask for Haania's hand in marriage and when they get a polite refusal they attempt to blame Haania for their coming. Now usually this is a cue for all hell to break loose and the heroine to get all sorts of shit thrown at her, I know, I've seen a lot of television serials and read a lot of desi romance books. So naturally that was what I expected. But lo and behold, Haania's family not only rejected this claim immediately but showed complete trust and faith towards her. Human beings behaving like human beings is such an unexpected and pleasant surprise. That was an ice breaker for me and I completely enjoyed the frivolity after that.

It's 64 pages long so I recommend it. You may just take away a message and be sufficiently entertained.

3.5🌟

It wasn't something I hadn't read before but it was definitely refreshing. From the very first page i enjoyed this book.

There were a lot of Clićhes. Like A lot. But i really really liked it. The best part of the book was when hania's family didn't blamed her for the rishta. I mean i was shocked like really really shocked. I have watched enough drama serials to know what happens in a typical story when there is a situation like this.

I had a great time reading it and I was dying with laughter😂❤️

Will definitely reccomend to everyone who can read urdu!

Definitely it was a light, one-sit-read. I really enjoyed it!
Everyone in Hania's family was laudable & understanding. And the message the writer tried to convey was important. Every person has different nature, one should understand instead of judging them.

It was short. It was light hearted. It was fun in a strange way. specially when Haniya is hopping on one leg.
the problem, for me, was understanding the family tree.
a cliched story but does deliver the message.

Downloaded the free book to see how someone with high standards and isn't afraid to dole out vicious ratings/reviews to others books would write. :) Not surprisingly and like other reviewers said. Very predictable.
1.5 star, but more like 1. Always be courteous and empathetic. Practice what you preach. All the best to the author.
