Kentucky already lost his career once. He thought regaining it meant everything. Until he met Rory.

After getting picked up by New York, getting injured and let go, Kentucky is back in Texas. Working at his dad’s auto repair shop isn’t terrible, but it’s not his dream. He needs ice under his skates. Kentucky hasn’t given up. He’s determined to reclaim the career he loves. That is, until he meets Rory.

Rory recognized Kentucky the first time he laid eyes on him. That’s not why he set out to win him. Kentucky has sad eyes Rory can’t resist. He only wanted to know him. Rory never expects to love him. He doubly never intends to ruin Kentucky.

It’s so easy for Kentucky to fall for Rory. The man is perfect in every way. Except Rory has a secret that could smash Kentucky’s life to bits. Kentucky will have to decide what he can live with and who he can’t live without.

I have a toothache

So sweet...but everything in their relationship happened so quickly. I really liked the characters. The sex scenes were ok but didn't feel that passionate to me, even though it was to Rory and Kentucky. It's always good to have Kiernan Steel on the scene cause he ties all the series together. Fatherhood looks good on him

“I make you proud?
“Life handed you nothing, and you didn’t let it beat you. You survived and found me…I’m proud you didn’t give up.

Kentucky is a man determined to fulfill his dream of being a professional hockey player. But when an injury leaves him sidelined and off the ice, he returns home to work at his dad’s auto repair shop. Rory knows what he wants when he meets Kentucky, but fears what will become of their budding romance when Kentucky discovers his secret. Kentucky must decide if he loves Rory just as he is or judge him for things he doesn’t understand.

Smash was a difficult story for this reader to review. Mainly, because when I discovered Rory’s secret, I was like “Nope! That’s a deal breaker for me! But after reading so many of this author’s books, I knew there HAD to be more…there HAD to be reasons for Rory’s past and the decisions he made. So I continued, and as the story unfolded, I thought of a phrase I’ve heard and it’s so very true "Don’t judge me because I sin differently then you. #FACT

Charity Parkerson has once again wowed this reader with the heart she puts into her stories. Highly recommend!

This one was just ok

I wasn't really wowed by this book. It was ok, but I didn't really feel like we got to understand what Kentucky was thinking and feeling when he learned of Rory's life before they met. We got a lot of judgement, but he seemed to not so much accept it as decide that his love for Rory was strong enough to "overcome" his initial reaction, which isn't really losing the judgemental attitude.

S. I was liking the book so much, but not letting it gaslight me. Being a pornstar is not something you hide from someone you want to build a relationship with cause you’re scared and you been through a lot. And everybody’s reaction like Kentucky was in the wrong? Yea, no. Being a sex worker is a respectable career to me 100%. would I want find out my partner has orgies or even solo sex scenes on camera from the bigot owner of a company? No.

Good Book

This was a good book. Not as great as some of the others but still a good read. Rory’s storyline was kinda hot. Nothing like a house full of sexy men. Kentucky was a sweet character. Once he realized his short falls he was a caring boyfriend.

These characters were hot, but not a lot of drama. Still a good read.

Another winner

I love all of Charity Parkerson's books but this seemed different, sweeter & dare I say, lighter. I never know what I'm going to get from her books, but I am always satisfied. I loved this lighter hearted book & the characters. I just want to give Rory a big hug!

How sweet!

This was one of the sweetest books that I've read in a while and I really do read a lot of books. Kentucky and Rory were great together and you couldn't help becoming invested in their HEA. Another great one from Charity.

I need more!!

When we first met Kentucky I wasn't impressed but now I love him. Troy is such a sweet guy and they are perfect together. I worry about Jay though. I need to know how he is doing. I admit it. I need more Hard Hit stories too.
