What We Once Called Out In Passing Clouds

Rate this book
"Dark and hilarious, like dark chocolate. I guess I should have said dark chocolate that comes in really funny shapes."
-Jack Handey
Creator, Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey

"Aaron Donley's thoughts are comedic gems. Laugh out loud, delightfully twisted gems. I'd buy this book, but Aaron gave me one free to write this."
-Josh Weinstein
Executive Producer, The Simpsons

"Some people say the second "A" in Aaron's name is unnecessary, but I disagree. It's the first A that's a total waste of everyone's time. This book, however, is not."
-Matt Diffee
Cartoonist, The New Yorker

"If Aaron Donley's darkly funny, unpredictable thoughts were crows... then this book would qualify as A MURDER OF CROWS! Google it! That's what groups of crows are called!"
-Tom Johnson
Writer, The Daily Show

Aaron's first novel, The Starlight Inn, is a personal coming of age story about questioning faith. The protagonist shares the same form of OCD Aaron battled as a teenager, centered on religious obsessions. His second book, Jane and the Boy Wonder, is a historical novel centered around the origins of artificial intelligence, little known prodigies of the 20th century, and stoic principles for life.

Aaron's humor books, Good Chemistry, and What We Once Called Out in Passing Clouds, are explorations of absurdist comedy in the tradition of SNL writer Jack Handey's "Deep Thoughts."

Aaron lives in Oregon with his wife and dog, Rags. For more please visit .

If you like the delivery system of Jack Handy’s Deep Thoughts and wondered what they would be like with a darker sensibility, this collection will make your day. Read, laugh, enjoy, rinse, repeat, etc.

Things that make you go hmmm

Literally. I think some people will love this book. Others will hate it. Some will just scratch their heads and ask, “Why?
This is a book for some and not for others. Read the sample and you will know which camp you fall into.
