Blair just felt like every Black man needed more than one rib. Part 2 Recently separated, new mother Toshica Carmichael has the weight of the world on her shoulders. The recent demise of what she once thought was a rock solid marriage has left her head spinning. Not to mention the offer of love coming from the most unlikely source. Step into the part two finale to find out if her husband Blair can save his marriage to his childhood sweetheart or lose her to the man who by most people's standards, should have never been his competition in the first place. **Warning** This is not your typical Urban romance, dope boy, thug love, or kingpin savage book. It's a heart-pounding, drama-filled women's fiction love story.
I’m not a good judge to review the language used in this book.
However, language aside, the book will feed all drama llamas. It is drama filled, angst filled, over the top narcissist filled. From the 50% mark onwards, it became a little too over the top though.
Summary: The h and H have been together for 9 years-this is mentioned so many times by so many people. It’s like the authors found their feet as they went along as the writing strengthened up along the way. I digress...
Over the years, the H has talked about how black men need to step up and have more than one wife to help there be less single mothers. He bases this theory on how things have been done in Africa. He also watched his mother accept his father having two families.
The h never agreed to this and over the years, took his rants with a grain of salt.
Until one day, H tells h that he is bringing home wife#2. h thinks he’s joking but eventually realised that he’s not and is horrified and wants out of the relationship.
H brings home wife #2 (he had a union blessing with her).
What I loved about the h was how strong she stayed through this whole book. As a reader, you can safely settle in on her side and not be worried about her caving to guilt trips, romance etc-it was refreshing.
The H has strong narcissistic tendencies. It was hard to read sometimes as he just kept making everything about him and his needs.
The first 50% of this book was an enjoyable drama filled ride. The second 50% became over the top ridiculous.
This book is definitely full of drama. And I enjoyed every bit of it. While I do not condone cheating and I never want to see marriages fail, I do prefer HEA books that are more reflective of real life relationships/marriages in that there are always bumps in the road, twists and turns, disagreements, arguments, challenges, etc. Marriage (and relationships in general, for that matter) require constant work and are not all sunshine and roses like most romance novels depict. This book reflects that bumpy road to HEA and I appreciated it. A good bit of angst is always needed to really make a HEA worth the read, in my opinion. The reason for giving this 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the book is littered with terrible formatting, grammatical errors, missing punctuations, etc.
Blair is a narcissistic idiot! And poor Faith is dumb as a box of rocks! Admittedly this story was hilarious. I don’t blame Toshica I wouldn’t put up with Blair’s crap. Faith should’ve left that house as soon as she saw Toshica was with that sister wife crap. For Blair to try to force it on her was just as crazy. Well Blair and Faith both got what they deserved in the end. First time reading from this author. Good job! I’m gonna see what else you got.
I’m glad Shicka stood her ground. From the start I knew Blair was delusional, how you doing all that cheating and then bring another woman into your marriage the wrong way and expect everyone to accept it? He really didn’t see nothing wrong with that and that’s sad.. he need to check into the mental institute for that. I’m glad Faith was the way she was, yeah really make him regret his decision smh because it was the trash that he should of kept in the garbage in the first place. Giving what happened I don’t blame Shicka n Delano I mean he was wanting her first in the first place and Blair knew this but Blair was so selfish he didn’t care. Blair knew he was right for Shicka and still went after her. So happy for both Toshica and Delano. Wish we had more read on them. Anywho, cheaters never win.
SistaWives had me going back and forth! Blair shared his thoughts with his wife all these years and he finally tried! However, Toshica was not having it and the story got better. I was mad at her but in the end she was happy and that crazy Blair got what he served. Great story I could not stop reading Ms. Bam you had a lot of mess going down in this book. Already read the next book I will have to keep reading to see what other crazy drama you can create with the characters in Texas. Good read!
This was a lot, whew chile....first time reading a book by this author. I liked the story line but Blair was such a dummy...I mean this could’ve possibly worked for him but obsivously he was too arrogant to plan the sugar honey ice tea out according to the type of wife he had. Know who you married...and Faith, I won’t waste energy on her. I wish there was more time in the storyline for Shica and D after the divorce.
I really enjoyed this book. The author didn't play no games. The first chapter started off with a bang. Blair was tripping hard!!!! I had to re-read it to make sure I understood what this fool was saying. And Faith was on some good bs and tried to play victim. I enjoyed reading how the story unfolded. I really felt the ending was rushed but it was still good.
When I read the first chapter, I didn't think I would like it. It turned out to be a great read. It was unbelievable how delusional and self -centered Blair was. He actually believed he could get away with such foolishness. Even though the book was crazy, I really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed SistaWives but at some point Ms Linda dropped Blair on his head. How else do you explain moving another woman into your wife’s house without her permission? Toshica and Faith irritated me but I give mad props to Toshica for finally taking control of her life. If you read for escapism, I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed it great story It was a twist I didn’t expect it to work out like it did but I definitely would not read a part III she needs to leave it where it’s at thank you
This was such a good series. I love Toshica. She was the perfect mix of independent and supportive. Blair was out of his mind and fumbled his entire world with the polygamy nonsense. This book had me laughing out loud at Toshica’s reactions and sayings and Miss Linda’s fussing. Great series!
