First of all huge gratitude to the chance and the curiosity that made me get that book and similar gratitude for Ahmed Hosany the artist responsible for the amazing book cover and inside designs. Another huge gratitude for Mohamed Hassan the editor and proofreader. It is amazing when you find a proofreader and editor who literally didn鈥檛 miss anything and his grammatical and punctuation techniques are on point. The book for me was somewhat scary, I was scared most of the time to live in these imaginary cities. The idea of these imaginary cities was similar to a recent book I read which was called 賲丿賷賳丞 丕賱丨賵丕卅胤 丕賱賱丕賳賴丕卅賷丞 or The city of infinite walls. But they are same genre of fantasy. This book made me every time reading about a city thinking of its symbolism and projecting it on our cities and sometimes our states of mind. I really enjoyed it a lot
Al Modon Gher El Mawsola (丕賱賲丿賳 睾賷乇 丕賱賲賵氐賵賱丞) is a thought-provoking, philosophical, and weirdly somber children's book that invites young readers to explore philosophical concepts and develop their sense of wonder and imagination. The book was written by Mahmoud El Kotb (賲丨賲賵丿 丕賱賯胤亘) and illustrated by Ahmed Hasani (丕丨賲丿 丨爻丕賳賷). Published in January 2019 (佗贍佟侃) by Dar El Balsam (丿丕乇 丕賱亘賱爻賲), this 64 (佴伽) page collection of short stories is intended for ages 9-12 (侃-佟佗). The book departs from traditional children's literature, offering a unique blend of fantasy and philosophy. Unlike many children's stories, Al Modon Gher El Mawsola does not rely on named characters, it rather talks about the citizens of these fictitious towns as a single entity, conveying both a sense of unity and of hopelessness. The stories are short but packed with meaning. One particularly intriguing tale features a creature with a human head and the body of a mythical beast guarding a city. The only way to enter is by answering a question correctly. However, it is later revealed that only those who have answered incorrectly are granted ingress. This unexpected ending invites readers to question the nature of success, and failure, and the flippant nature of human desire The book's tone is surprisingly somber, contrasting with the whimsical nature of many children's stories. This sobriety, however, adds a layer of depth and encourages young readers to think critically about complex themes. Al Modon Gher El Mawsola is not a book that simply entertains; it challenges and inspires. While some readers may find the book's philosophical undertones challenging, it is precisely this unconventional approach that makes it so intriguing. Al Modon Gher El Mawsola challenges the convention of storytelling, sparking imagination and fostering intellectual curiosity. It is a book that will stay with readers long after the final page is turned. ISBN: 9789776171411 (侃侑侉侃侑侑佴佟侑佟伽佟佟)
