In the city, I belonged to no one. Here in the wild, I'm an omega for a pack to claim.

Inside the walls I was a respected scientist. Out here I'm vulnerable, desperate, and soon to be at the mercy of the beasts and barbarians who rule these harsh lands. But that is not the worst of it.

When the suppressants that keep my shameful secret wear off, overwhelming, unimaginable need will take hold of me. I'm an omega about to go into heat, and I know what comes next...

But I'm not the only one with instincts far beyond my control. Alphas roam this wilderness, savage men driven by their very nature to claim me more fiercely than I can imagine, paying no heed to my screams as one brutal climax after another is ripped from my helplessly willing body.

It won't be long now, and when the mating starts, it will be nothing short of a frenzy.

Publisher's Note: Frenzy includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

If your favorite part of the Omegaverse genre is mmmf menage and the sextravaganzas than ignore my rating and give this book a go ;)

I'm looking for Omegaverse books with interesting, well-developed worlds. This book started out with promise. In this universe there are Alphas/Betas/Omegas who suppress their biological nature by breathing in air-circulated suppressants in their Dome. The heroine, Raven, is a researcher working on a new suppressant that will be effective for years. This will allow people to travel outside the Dome without fear of succumbing to their natural biological roles. The author included an interesting backstory as to how their biological roles changed and mutated.

Outside the Dome is the Wilds, where Raven and her fellow researcher, Alix, are trying to find a plant that will help create the new suppressant. They're attacked and their current suppressants destroyed. Isolated in the Wilds without their suppressants, both fall victim to their biological urges. I actually found this part interesting! So far so good.

Then comes along Wolfe and Ivan who belong to one of the tribes in the Wilds. The way they're described made me laugh:

Ivan:

"long blonde hair swayed in the breeze, shiny and thick and for a moment I yearned to touch it"

"He wasn't wearing a shirt, just a pair of leather rawhide pants and a corded necklace that was long enough to settle on his upper belly"

"His body was painted with tattoos...His body spoke of raw power, tense and strong and ready to do whatever he needed to do to claim me as his."

Wolfe:

"His thick chocolate brown hair was pulled up into a tight knot on the back of his head...A beard lined his chin."

" cheek was brushed with black paint, three fingers drawn across the right side of his face."

So we have one guy with long blonde hair, leather pants, with a long necklace. Very hippy dippy. Then his brother, sporting a man bun with a hipster beard. The face paint was a nice touch. It's just so goofy and the story becomes goofier.

**Slight Spoiler**

There are giant albatrosses that the three Alphas fly on to rescue Raven. Touching the giant albatross allows for psychic communication:

I place my hand on the side of his face and my skin vibrated with a quiet but powerful rumble of magic. "It nice to meet you, Alix of Tharia," Thornclaw said and I lifted my eyes toward his with wonder.

"Incredible," I whispered.

"These are my sons, Razorbeak and Stormwing. They are young and strong," he replied, and I nodded my head in thanks.

Lol. The author gets an extra star for creativity. Overall I thought the idea was interesting, but the execution came across as amateurish and silly.

The writing style is not good. The author fell into the trap of using too many adjectives. Lots of spelling and grammar mistakes. I'm not a stickler myself; I make grammar mistakes all the time. I'm not a writer selling books on Amazon though - this book really needs an editor.

This book was frustrating because I did find aspects about the world interesting; it had potential. The story devolves into a porn without plot book, and becomes all about the 'frenzy' of their biological urges. The characters lack depth or complexity. The book ends abruptly after a foursome. I also wish the descriptions of the animals, monsters, and tribal people weren't so wacky.

If you're looking for a quick smutty Omegaverse read with mmmf, this book has it. There's even a little bit of world-building and history intertwined, but don't expect too much.

4* fuck fest STARS!!

My first read from Sara Fields and it got me like... what in the fresh hell? Dark + Omegaverse + Reverse Harem = PERFECT COMBO! FRENZY is a crazy wild ride that you wouldn't want to stop.

description

For many years after The Great War, people 'live' inside the dome with the help from suppressant to against their nature. As the head of scientist, Dr. Raven Kelly is in mission to make the perfect suppressant for society. It is only need one more ingredient and the problem is... in the wild. Outside. However, their mission is in jeopardize and Raven has to succumb her true nature alongside her co-worker, Alix. But they're not alone...

Raven is a smart, independent and dedicated woman. Her research is everything. I like Raven better than any other Omegaverse heroine. She's not entirely "disable". But when her mission failed and there's no suppressant left, Raven must accept her Omega nature. With Alix, they're working together to prepare of what's coming.

I thought Alix is the only Alpha for her. Totally forgot the Reverse Harem part because both chemistry is so real. Alix has been eyeing for Raven since they're working together. But such thing is forbidden inside the dome. Now, in the wild, Alix embrace his Alpha nature to claim Raven as his Omega. I simply like him because he's calm, protective yet commanding.

Half of the story told how Alix and Raven must overcome their nature. Confused and scared as an Alpha and Omega for the very first time. There's some FUNishment involve hard spanking and a bit dub-con which is I loved. Maybe too much. I enjoyed when Raven is struggle at first. She denied her Omega side because it was shameful but later, she begged for Alix. And you know the rest...

A lot of cums later... Two Alphas Brother in the wild sniffed Raven's pheromone and decided to claim her. I was surprised with their arrival because they're basically strangers and as the First Alpha, Alix felt challenged. Raven who is in unfinished heat, decide to take them. Wolfe and Ivan. All the sex scenes are OFF THE CHART and totally out-of-control. *fan myself*

The story told from multiple POVs. Raven and Alix at first and her other Alphas, Wolfe and Ivan in the later. After several story about the Alpha Brothers, we're back on track with the truth behind Raven's sabotaged mission. Well, well... definitely didn't see it coming. I must say the conflict is quite anti-climax and left unsure. But who knows for the next?

My other issue is the chemistry with Alpha Brothers. There's no building; totally insta-love and such turn off for me. Overall, I'm very grateful to the group that introduce me with this book. Really satisfying. I'm sooo intrigued with this new world from Sara Fields.

Wild, Chaotic and Out-of-Control!

What happens when exposure to a treatment repressing your primal sexual instincts is suddenly removed!?... the novel “Frenzy of course! Professionally written and extremely fast-paced, this dark dystopian, reverse harem romance is impossible to put down. In this alternate reality, human sexuality is artificially suppressed within the sealed-off city and the only means of procreation is via test-tubes. A female scientist (also a covert omega) and her team venture beyond the dome into the wild where natural, carnal urges rule. Experiencing an unfortunate mishap and without the treatment to suppress inherent human biology, chaos inevitably ensues. Filled with plenty of action (yeah, that kind too!), adventure, suspense and intrigue “Frenzy is one wild ride that you will never want to end.

Ehh

Maybe I missed the point, but this book just sucked. It was intriguing at first then it slowly took a dive off a cliff. I would in no way refer to this as a romance. In fact if this is what anyone would call a “romance I’d eat my socks. I have no problem with dark romance as long as it’s consensual. A good portion of this had a bit of a rapey vibe. Moments where the female character said no, but then it happened, and she just went along with it and then the author had to add later in that paragraph that even though she didn’t want it she “really liked it. It felt like the author had to convince the reader that although it wasn’t really consensual she ended up liking it. Also the female character was a flop. She started out strong, intelligent, and mouthy. Then turned into a toy. Completely lost any hint of personality. Literally used by her three “bondmates. There was little to no tenderness even after her “breeding period was done. This should’ve been called “dark harem take away the romance. Horribly written and disappointed... soo glad this was free, wasn’t for me.

This is Omegaverse, if you don’t know what it is, please take the time to look it up before you judge this book. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s DEFINITELY Mine.

If you can’t enjoy reading books with spanking(s) either by hand and/or belt, or extremely hard forking. I suggest you turn a way now despite all the fun you’ll be missing.

You know a good book when you look at the percentage and see that your at 44% and start freaking out, cause you know the book is ‘almost over XD

Almost freaked out near the beginning when no signature purr, but happy that I got it! Lol

Really liked this version of Omegaverse too, I sincerely hope this will not just be one book but a series!

I wish it wasn’t so ‘short only cause I was really drawn into it, so when I encountered the end I was like... Damnit! This Cannot End!! Lol XD
I wanted to get more depth of the characters. I really wanted to see more of Wolfe personally, he was the only one that didn’t get alone time with Raven. Would love a Part 2 if possible for the four of these guys.

I really see a money maker out of this if this was a series. Trust me I’d be happy to review and buy them all!!

Plot idea(s) for Future Series(?):
0. Maybe the people of Tharia will ‘eradicate their society of Omegas by dumping them all far outside the wall? Heck that would be better then the ‘Prison they’re currently in.
0. Maybe the Girls escape? Tunnel their way out or find a hidden exit? Alcatraz Style! LOL
0. Maybe lower a cage with an unwilling Omega outside the wall and the beta and/or ‘non-race specified scientists can watch the behavior of a ‘wild alpha or alphas snatch her from the cage and disappear into the forest.
***Jurassic Park ‘goat like BUT no ripping of limbs to the female at least, but maybe of other alpha competitors Lol.**

Something they can’t learn from their current Tharia raised pair.

Would I read more from this Author? Duh! Yeah!

I've never read anything like this before, but it was recommended to me by a friend so I gave it a whirl. It's not my cuppa. Rough sex is one thing, but I just can/will never appreciate women being treated like idiot children with no rights or autonomy unless it's just a bedroom/fetish thing. When they told her she could never go home and then beat her to "teach her to obey her alpha" I was done. That's just gross, and I will never comprehend how women fetishize this kind of Handmaid's Tale life.

My, my, my...This is an extra steamy/hot read, at last an omegaverse reverse harem with no sword crossings!
Just in case: the following is spoilerish!

At the beginning of the book we see the two main characters, Raven and Alix, leaving the domed city to the jungle in order to search a plant to help them create a permanent suppressant against the biological urges of the humans living in the domed cities (you have to read the book if you want to know why). Apparently, they consider those urges unnatural, so their aim is to stop being enslaved by them.

The first part of the book seemed to drag on for a bit (or perhaps it was my impatience to reach the juicy bits LOL), but you can clearly perceive their conception of the world and their conviction of how their society must work. I found it fascinating, very dystopian-y (and creepy, too.)

The thing is Raven is an omega and Alix is an Alpha...and I won't say more...delicious!

Then, they get to meet two more Alphas...more deliciousness!! Oleeeee! Miss Fields: naughty, naughty girl...Madre mía, my computer was melting...I guess for some readers, this may be not their cup of tea, but for me, I would like more, piping hot, please!

The only complain: the book was too short for the price, so I missed a little bit more world building, more character development and the story ended far too soon.

I wish there were more omegaverse reverse harems, with focus on the heroine (no m-m, no fighting of wands)...and a personal request: a hero with a hairy chest (not dusting, a furry chest), YES! And that would make it perfect.

I would recommend this book to omegaverse lovers, and if you feel like reading something steamy hot but with an interesting back story.

THREE ALPHAS—ONE OMEGA

Having read many Omegaverse books, I will have to say; I freaking loved this one. Dr. Raven Kelley, along with her team, including Alix, will leave the protective and drug-enhanced suppressors to travel to the wilds to obtain a plant she needs in her research. What happens when their steamship goes down, and during the night they are attacked? Only Raven and Alix will survive, and while they will have food and water, the suppressor they need will be destroyed. They have twelve to twenty-four hours, and then nature will take hold. “Civilized people didn’t do this.

I loved how Alix and Raven try to fight off what is inevitable, knowing they won’t win the battle and how when they do give in it is intense. They are still reeling from the loss of their security team, knowing that danger is still present, and fighting off the urges that are taking hold of both of them. Raised in a protective society that hides rankings of alpha, beta or omega, it doesn’t take long for the alpha Alix to realize that Raven is an omega, and he needs to find them a safe shelter because nature is going to take its course.

“Who would have thought that fate would have brought Raven and me together like this? Raven was mine. It was my right as her alpha, and now she was going to learn what it meant to be my omega.

“His gaze was dark, his eyes wild. He looked hungry, ravenous even, and I didn’t know what to do, tensing with anxiety. He sat there, his chest heaving up and down in an effort to contain himself. He was ready to mate, and he was staring at me, his eyes dark and fully dilated. His gaze was wild and dangerous and worst of all; I found it entirely seductive. My mouth went dry as he pulled me back onto his lap. I tried to wrench myself away, but he wouldn’t let me.

“How dare you run from me, omega? Even now, I can smell you slick. You deny me my right to claim you as an alpha, but even your body knows your true master. You will give yourself to me. You’re not going to have a choice. You will submit, omega. In time, you will learn. Until then, you’ll be punished. You’re mine, omega. Forever.

Oh, but that is only a small part of the story—throw in two other alphas, brothers, Wolfe and Ivan, and they smell her too and follow her scent—even willing to fit Alix for her. Convincing Alix that he isn’t the only alpha she needs, with her encouragement, will have her mating all three alphas, each marking her and forming a deeper bond.

It won’t be safe for Raven and Alix to return to the dome city and joining Wolfe and Ivan at their pack is the only smart thing to do, it will keep Raven safe—or will it. How far will these three alphas go to keep their mate, their omega safe?

The story will take on life and death, danger, deceit, rivalry, kidnapping, and revenge. The story is a claiming, a possession, and has several spanking scenes, rough sex by dubious consent and ménage scenes. As in Omegaverse stories, the alphas form knots and are very dominant men and omegas are meeker, and submissive. Ms. Sara Fields created a page-turning Omegaverse world with mystery, suspense, and intrigue.

Frenzy is a stand alone romance set with an Omegaverse setting, so please see the warnings. Raven is a top scientist, working to discover a way to make a lasting inhibitor to their animalistic urges. But her mission into the wilds has gone wrong and now Raven and Alix, her colleague and friend, are stranded with no inhibitor. Raven is an omega, something she’s always hidden, and Alix is all alpha. What will happen when Raven goes into heat, and how will her heat effect the alphas surrounding them?

Wow! I could not put this book down! One thing that I absolutely loved was watching their thoughts, emotions, and actions go from logical and collected to animalistic and instinct driven! It was very well written in that aspect and it was just fascinating and entertaining! Especially for Raven, there was such a dichotomy between what her body demanded and what her head wanted, but even this started to breakdown as the book progressed! Alix was fascinating, too, because he always had a bit of an alpha personality, was protective, loyal, demanding, but as the suppressors left his system, it was neat to see that dominance just take over! This book is a reverse harem style romance, and I don’t want to give anything away, but the added alphas gave so much more to the romance, their bond, and to understanding the wilds! I loved seeing the differences between the wilds and the city, seeing what suppressing desire could do to a culture, versus living freely and letting nature take course. For Ms. Fields never writing an Omegaverse style book before, this was well done and I think it would be amazing to see more, maybe from a different city set within this same world. I loved this book and give it more than five stars if I could.

Fantastically good Paranormal Omegaverse novel

This is just a great book, I highly recommend it. I started and finished reading it without stopping, just a great story. The story sis set in a city that one of a few that exists after a Great War that resulted in some Alphas and some Omegas and in order to better manage them suppressing drugs were developed and are used in the city. However there is a mission that requires an Omega and her team to leave the city and unfortunately the mission does not go well and Raven, the Omega is outside and her dugs wear off. When her drugs wear off she will go into heat and any Alphas available and she won't be able to resist. There is lots and lots of hot sex, including anal and double penetration. Raven has a great time, and you are sure to as well.

It was okay

For a omega verse style book it was okay compared to others I've read. However this is the same author that has this love of using the word Forlornly and it drives me insane! Also the book really didn't make any sense how in the heck did this one girl with little power manage to derail an entire convey and have all those soldiers killer is beyond me since it was never explained the only explanation we got was Triss was jealous because Raven received the promotion she was out to get as well. She was also jealous because she had a thing for Alix who ended up mating with Raven and that was it...In my opinion that didn't sufficiently explain anything. So that is why I rated this with 3 stars

The first bit was really interesting. I was actually excited by the story. It quickly descended into a rape fantasy. It wasnt dark in the way most would see a dark romance.

Definitely a rape/porn/fantasy book. Nothing truly consensual about any of this and i did not get any of that from the descriptor. To be fair I didnt read anything other than that after getting a quick heads about this series in a group.

The writing is well done. The dialog is not stilted or off. There really isnt much of a fleshed out story so if you are just looking for something VERY specific to flick your bean to, this might be it. Just not for me.

Sara Field's first Omegaverse is exactly what you would expect. She has found a way to put the love and care she puts in her romances into a slightly dark Omegaverse novel. She built a world and a story that made you hot and waiting for the next installment. The world building was amazing as well as the pacing of the plot. Overall this was an amazing start to what I hope is a great experience.

*WARNING* contains explicit adult content
This story was okay. I do think it needs more detail though. Ex: Are they on Earth? How did the dome get built? What are they that the alpha, omega, beta status is even an issue? There are just some details that I think would have made the story better.

Raven is a scientist in her city trying to help her people by creating a suppressant for their baser urges. A Great War has left people with certain savage qualities. People have babies via test tube instead of sex. Raven needs a certain plant that only grows outside the city. She ends up going on a dangerous trip outside the city. Her team is ambushed and only her and her friend Alix survive. Their urges eventually overcome them and they mate. Surprise in the guise of two brothers named Wolfe and Ivan come into their mating circle. Now Raven has three alpha mates to her omega. Someone is trying to sabotage Raven. Will her mates be able to save her?

A lot like over the top p*rn

I wanted to like this book...i mean it's a #1 best seller (or new release) in its genre. I really tried. I am new to the omegaverse stuff, only having read one other book. But even I know this is far fetched in this "realm".

Synopsis:
The blurb is pretty dead on about this book. A female omega scientist that has suppressed her desires and her omega identity within her safe city, ventures out beyond the walls to find a very rare plant she needs for an injection she is developing. This injection will allow the citizens of her city to be able to suppress their nature and still be able to enjoy the outside world (they currently live in a bubble of sorts). There are quite a few things that go wrong on this mission, which leaves her in the wilderness with her fellow scientist (a suppressed alpha). Without access to injections or the safety of their bubbled city, they are sitting ducks waiting on their nature to take over. Soon she realizes that it's going to take more than one alpha to satiate her needs.

Here is what's wrong:
1. From the very beginning, the dialogue is extremely repetitive. It's absolutely ridiculous. If you still plan to read this, be prepared to read the word slick or every page usually multiple times. Not just words, but entire phrases or thoughts.
2. The beginning maybe 20% or so, the plot is awesome. It's suspenseful and kinda exciting. I honestly found myself wanting to find out what happens next. But after the suppressants wear off, that's where the plot seems to as well. Now I will admit that I only got to about 55% before giving up, but if that's almost 40% that is almost utterly plot-less.....and it gave no signs of getting better.
3. This is fiction, So I get most of these situations are not going to feel real-life (especially the fantasy genre). However, how can you take a realm that is so concentrated on the specific roles each of these individuals play (alpha/omega), and then turn them around and downplay their power/submission? Alphas don't tend to share their omegas....it really lost me there.
4. The worst part of all to me honestly is the scenes that start around the 45% mark. Some authors have a gift in writing sexual content that is desirable and that from which fantasies are made of. This wasn't such writing. It suddenly switched gears and reminded me of the old p*rn movies that were more laughable than a turn on at all. It just got super cheesy and embarrassing to read.

Final Thoughts:
All in all, this is one of the first books that I gave up on and 1 star to. I am very determined to read completely and have stuck with books I wasn't a fan of til the end...but when I realized I had almost 50% left to read, I couldn't imagine making it.
There are great reviews for this one so maybe I'm just used to different writing skills and styles, but I definitely don't recommend this book.

Review by Puss'n'Books

Omegaverse is my absolute favourite genre and so I was excited to find another author that wrote it. But this one didn’t quite do it for me.
Great world-building. The aftermath of a vicious war has left parts of the world living under a dome. In that dome, they have an airborne suppressant that controls their new feral mating urges, because during the war chemical bombs changed their dynamic (I think).
There is an “us and ”them thing going on because there were people who’d refused the suppressant long ago and decided to live outside the dome naturally.

RAVEN - Raven is a super-intelligent scientist who has almost perfected a drug that will suppress their feral tendencies with one injection that lasts 5 years, instead of it having to be in the air.
There are things she needs to get though that are outside of the dome, a scary place for those raised in the city. She takes her work partner, Alix, and a team of soldiers.
On the first night out there though, they are attacked and the whole team is killed leaving just her and Alix to find their way back home.
All of the suppressants were destroyed though and they both know that before long they are going to be going at it like bunnies.

She’s nervous and a little curious but really has no idea what’s about to go down.

As an omega, my body would go into heat in the presence of an alpha. I would produce slick and potent pheromones that he’d be unable to resist. He’d claim me as his and then he would fuck me long and hard, no matter if I wanted it or not. There was no stopping it. Nothing we could do to prevent it.

ALIX - He’s an Alpha and she’s an omega. Without the suppressants, he’s going to turn into the super dominant male that they’ve everyone’s been trying to hold back for years.
He’s attracted to Raven already and when the drug wears off he is on her like white on rice, yo.
The thing is, he’s not the only alpha out there within sniffing distance and that causes a problem when more alphas are drawn to the delicious omega in heat.

SEX SCENES- The sex scenes were good but a little overdone. There was a good story up until the sex and then it kinda got out of control a little.
There was quite a bit of spanking, with hands and a belt. Because omega’s need to be put in their place…Luckily she loves it.

Soon though, it didn’t just hurt. Horrified, I began to realize that with each punishing slap I was getting wetter and wetter. Slick dripped down the folds of my pussy, down onto my inner thighs, and undoubtedly onto the fabric of his pants. I moaned with my shame.

FINAL THOUGHTS - I did enjoy the story and the world, even though I felt the sex was overdone.
Just not quite enough to read the next in the series.

2.5 Stars

I found the concept of this book very interesting. It was set in a dystopian world where people take medication to dampen their natural instincts. Raven is an Omega and a scientist. She and her team, including Alix, who is an Alpha, go into the wild zone where Alpha’s roam freely and don’t dampen their instincts. Raven and her team are on a scientific mission when they are attacked. Raven and Alix are left to their own devices with no dampeners. Without their medication their instincts start to come out, Raven goes into heat and Alix is the alpha she turns to, but of course it’s not a hardship for either of them, because they’ve always had a thing for each other.

Up until that point, I really enjoyed the book. I thought the chemistry between Alix and Raven was off the charts. He was really sweet to her and took care of her, while also being very alpha and doling out discipline. Then it all went to hell. These two brothers come out of nowhere (and honestly they were so forgettable for me that I don’t even remember their names) and get in on the action. Then suddenly Raven is in love with all of them...?! Huh?! I’ve read a lot of insta love romance novels but this was ridiculous! I don’t even think she knew their names by the time she was “in love with them!

Their only purpose was to introduce crazy group sex scenarios and I just wasn’t there for it. I have read a few RH books and the ones that I have liked, there was a buildup in the relationship between the men and the MFC. This book just expected me to accept that they were all together now and they were in love. It was forced and I hated it. There are more books in this series but I won’t be continuing on with them.

Great story by a great writer, I was thrilled with what I read in this hot, sexy story. Raven is an acclaimed scientist who goes on a journey to find a specific plant to complete her suppressant vaccine that keeps the population from a possible mating frenzy. Her team includes Alix who has worked beside her through her experiments and everyone within their enclosed city consumes a type of suppressant that is distributed through the air constantly. Her group crashed beyond the enclosed city and their adventure begins. There are bad guys that attack in the night, native barbarians that discover the scent of Raven, an Omega, Alix, exposed to clean air becomes the Alpha he was meant to be and all hell breaks loose when the men of the forest, both Alphas, are exposed to the scent of Raven's Omega. There is a hot time in the Omega's nest that night and claimings to be had. There is much more to the story, but it's not mine to tell, grab this Frenzy and enjoy all it has to offer, I did and very happy I was smart enough to see a book I would enjoy and hope for more to come of this new world's tale.
