Where To Read:
if you have money and want to support the artist; .
If you don't have money...well there are other places to read it but I won't name them for you.
If you want to read it in Korean

Themes: Overprotective Father, Family Bonding, Royalty, Second life, Reincarnated in Another World, Reincarnation, Smart Female Lead

Why You Should Read it and What It's About: Because it's the ultimate story about a parent's unconditional love.

It about a girl who is stabbed to death when she was 25 and reborn a (newborn) princess with an adult mind. The first thing she hears is her dad became king at age 19 and conquered 10 countries in less 5 years by killing everyone, including his own unborn kids. Just when he's about the choke the heroine to death, her reaction ( a sigh, of all things, lol ahahaha) really amazes him so he decides to keep her.

The story starts from the day she was born and we see her grow up with time jumps from time to time. It starts really similar to but I think this one is so much better because the heroine is not all that manipulative and is actually really sincere.

In the beginning, since her father is such a maniac (he is like the biggest maniac ever) she thinks he's a demon and only gets close to her so that he can kill her any time he wants. And he's a little shit ok, he messes with her. Like he visits her every day, calls her ugly or takes away her pacifier or orders her to cry or insist they sleep at the same bed.

THAT...THAT BASTARD.

So she tries to act cute to save her life but curse him in her mind (which is like, shouldn't be funny but damn it IT IS FUNNY). Her father actually does love her but refuses to admit -even though you can see it in his actions. He kills anyone who try to use her to get to him or makes her sad (he kills someone because they made her cry, I told you he is a maniac) gives her his best and most dangerous bodyguard, gives her a private army (when she's like 6 lol ahahaha) , gives her his treasures and any country she wants. In return, she has to love and trust him the most so no boyfriend or secrets allowed.

THIS GUY.

IS SUCH A DAD.

AHAHAHAHA. SERIOUSLY THIS PROGRESSION SO FUN TO READ.

Since he's too over-protective and most of the time a big shit, the heroine has this super sarcastic thought. He inner voice is so much fun to read.

To sum up, the is the story shows how the love of a father for his daughter is purely unconditional and the bond between a father and daughter is unbreakable even though the said father is a maniac.

Other reason why this such an awesome web-comic:
-intriguing plot
-Slow pace but TOTALLY WORTH IT
-Hot daddy
-Because it's funny and cute and I'm like: GIVE ME MORE!!!
-It's so witty and fluffy and even though the pacing is too damn slow every new chapter brings a smile to your face ;)

Do I recommend it? A BIG YES.

My overall mood while reading this;

Definitely give this one a chance!

I'm a big Manhwa fan, don't get me wrong, but I'm honest to goodness shocked this is one of the first ones being published into English. Personal opinion here, but I can think of so many better ones??
The first bit is a bit rough when him thinking of killing her, and though it starts to get better at points, the complete ending of this series was very disappointing and lackluster. (No spoilers but we get more side characters' backstories then than actually seeing our main characters, which I found disappointing.)

"I hope one day you can teach him that joy is not stealing or trampling on other people's things but is protecting people and getting to know them."

I'm not sure how to start off this review because with those first few pages, I was *extremely* skeptical about how much I could *actually* like the emperor. I confess it was even slightly triggering in seeing how he wanted to kill his very young child and then just the general dislike he had towards her for quite some time.

However, those soft and subtle moments he has with our main character, Ariadna, really help you not hate the emperor's guts with a potential passion. Truly, those moments really are what stole my heart and had me pre-ordering the next volume because I was bummed I couldn't read more of how Ariadna and her Father's relationship grows. There was one chapter near the end that almost made tears come to my eyes because it really shows how far the Emperor has come in this story.

Ariadna's nanny is AMAZING! I absolutely loved her character and how she would say things to the Emperor without fear because I think she not only wants his relationship with Ariadna to grow but also because she genuinely loves and cares for Ariadna and won't stand down even in the face of fear. (Not that she looks fearful often, but I definitely agree with Ariadna that anyone else would be afraid!)

Ariadna herself is hilarious! The things she thinks towards/about her Dad and just in general made me laugh more than once (or at least smile quite often). While I wouldn't say this story is super funny, I did appreciate her saying the obvious at times and how angry she would get because it was obvious in regards to the situation.

I will also mention that this story is GORGEOUS!! Right from the beginning, I could appreciate the art and just how shiny it was! Simply stunning!

I'm really looking forward to reading more of this series! We meet a new character and see a few mysterious "magical" moments that had me leaning forward because I'm curious how they will unfold. Greater still though, I truly want to see Ariadna and her Dad's relationship grow because it was so moving to see her Dad grow from who he was in the beginning. (The ending definitely makes the wait worth it!)

If you're looking for a story that has a focus on non-romantic relationships, light politics, and some fun (internal) dialogue, this is a story I would suggest checking out! (Just keep in mind the triggering beginning and some language scattered throughout.)

Also, if Jaeha from Yona of the Dawn lives in another life, he must live in this one because that one guy looks just like him! LOL!

I like this one and pre-ordered the second volume. I have high hopes for it. The artwork is nice and that emperor is scary, but he seems to be developing a soft spot for his daughter.

4, why do I ALWAYS have to wait for the next volume, stars.

Loved it!!! 😍 Different to read a children's POV with an adult mind, due to the reincarnation, which makes it kinda cool for a different narrative. But I won't be nominating him for Father of the Year Award.

Looveedd looveeedd the first chapters when she was still a child. I hoped for more character development though as she grew older. It was my favourite Manhwa but over the years it just went on and on till I decided to drop it. Picked it up again and read through it just to be disappointed that the FL still has a lacking character.

Lovely art, decent story, definite pacing issues. I do love the disconnect between Ria's mental capacity - she retains her personality and memories from her life in South Korea, where she was murdered at age twenty-five - and her new status as an infant, which leads to wonderful moments where she goes from thinking hard about her situation as the daughter of a murderous emperor to a burning need to put her toes in her mouth. It's a little uncomfortable that she finds her new dad attractive and sexy, but I'll give this time to see where it goes, because I suspect (hope) that's a plot thread that's not going to be important or go anywhere icky.

Plot: Yet another story of a girl from the modern world getting transmigrated into the body of a royal princess at birth, with her dad the Emperor being a psychotic jerkass who she has to win over in order to not get horribly murdered sometime in the future. This is a cliche premise I know but I sometimes I can't help but indulge in the warm embrace of a good trope.

1. This reads a bit like a lite version of to me? Less plot, less character depth, more over the top emotions and shenanigans, way more hot guys hanging on to every word of the heroine in a platonic way. (I mena, ostensibly platonic- these guys get very obsessed very fast, yo.) It's still MASSIVE fun, and the dad-daughter shenanigans continue to the best part.

2. Listen it's very cliche but the whole sequence where this guy gets so annoyed about the possibility of his baby daughter not remembering him if he goes off to war is adorable and hilarious and I was a complete sucker for everything that came out of it.

A bit slow in a clunky dialogue and plot kind of way... I don't think it has any chance to measure up to "Who Made Me a Princess?" but hopefully it gets better as Ria grows older 👍

I liked this story. I wasn't especially fond of the drawing style, but it was still very clear. I'm not who to criticize as I can't draw a straight line, though.

The relationship between father and daughter made me cry a lot at the end. I wish I had a dad like that, but that's simply never gonna happen. It's so wonderful that I can only accept it as fiction.

I wasn't satisfied with the ending.
Did the broken sword ever recover all its pieces? I wanted to learn its story.
Ria's choice of husband was not what I expected. Yes, the white guy was there from early on, but the red guy, too. Red lost his chance when he went to war with her country, I guess. But I didn't feel like things were over in that confrontation during the peace treaties. I mean, she gave him instructions about what to do to win her over. And he kissed her forehead. And he spent a lot of time with her on her trip. The rivalry between white and red was always obvious, and I feel Red should've tried once more to win her.

White and Ria's engagement felt weird, too. Ria proposed as a joke that everyone took seriously. White knew it, and he needed time to think it over. Points for dealing well with his father-in-law, though. But I still didn't like it. There was no love confession.

Actually, I would've liked her to marry Asisi. Who cares about the age difference? He's always been with her. Ria could've stayed in the castle and visited her father all the time. Asisi wouldn't have minded her sleeping with her father every now and then, either.

Who will be the heir to the Empire? If the line of succession is not clear, trouble arises. Ria shouldn't have left so suddenly. I don't think she should've married the heir to another Empire.
She should have stayed. Caitel needed her.

I would've liked for Ria to stay with Tel forever. It hurt to see Caitel dealing with the separation.

It's not fair.
Caitel never showed her his treasure.
We don't know if Predel ever got his daughter.
Asisi should've stayed in the kingdom training knights.
Ria should've stayed.

Ehh. This has all the typical elements of a fun RF, but none of them were engaging in this context. I usually love a reincarnation RF flick, a daddy-daughter duo, a tyrant hero, and all the fun tropes that this draws on; but the pace is just too slow. The protagonist is reincarnated as a baby, which is fun at first, but more than 30 chapters in, she isn't even 2 yet. Her father is a bloodthirsty tyrant, and we do actually see some evidence of that, but he's quite flat beyond that. The banter between him and the secondary characters (prime minister, guards etc.) rings a bit hollow. I think it's trying to be funny, but nothing is outrageous enough to manage it.

Outside the characters, there's very little to invest me in the story. 30+ chapters, and there's no particular overarching story developing, beyond tyrant dad becoming closer to his baby daughter (reinforced by him constantly threatening people who smile at her, but never doing much else). The only intriguing element is a vague mention of a curse and some kind of mystical being that might be a demon(?) with telepathy who can communicate with the baby protagonist. Would have loved to see more of that subplot, but it was frustratingly elusive.

Overall, I gave up after 30ish chapters because I got too bored to push on. I just needed something (anything!) to happen and I could have gotten on board.

I just cant with this one. A baby with the mind of an adult? I’m just not buying it. Babies talk and act like babies because they’re learning. If an adult mind is in a baby then the baby would know how to talk. It just doesn’t make any sense and I would only be able to give it some slack if this was a more comedic read, but it doesn’t really feel that way. The dad is a psychopathic murderous jerk and I feel uncomfortable with him. I didn’t even finish this book all the way either. I put it down after the baby that supposedly has an adult mind was thinking things about the adult men around her that was inappropriate. She got flustered when her dad was showing skin after he took a bath and thought her dad was handsome when they were sharing a bed and she thought that she had always wanted to be in this scenario except not in her baby form. She felt conflicted that she was thinking these things about her dad too. Yea, gross and no thank you. Then right after that she mind talks to her dads adult male friend and he says you get more beautiful everyday, when you grow up we should get married. Again, gross. I’m not supportive of this disturbing pedophilic stuff. Just no no no. I don’t recommend this to anyone. I have no plans to continue this series.

I guess this is okay?

Personally, I don’t really understand the allure of these isekai-adjacent stories where a full-grown woman is reincarnated as a baby princess in a fantasy world. If you can accept the absurd and very contrived premise, there are some cute moments sprinkled throughout these stories I suppose.

But, unless you have a daddy kink, I don’t know what else you’re getting out of these stories?

I mean, I like the “Who Made Me a Princess series—which, essentially has the same premise. [Reincarnated princess, daughter of a tyrant, charms her evil father’s cold heart, etc.] But, this series is a knock-off of that one? At the very least, these two series have an uncanny resemblance to each other.

Anyway.

There’s nothing remarkably bad about this series. I find the whole concept of stories like this one perplexing—but, maybe you don’t?

Maybe a story like this one fulfills some desire you had to have grown up with a loving, doting, overly protective father figure.

No judgement~

plot: a woman got stabbed by someone and then get reincarnated in another verse as the daughter of the tyrant emperor who is also bloodthirsty. he didn't want child. he had also killed his many unborn children but this time, it was different. seeing his only daughter in his hands who looks just like him, he called her ugly and named her instead of killing her as the whole empire thought he would do. this time it was different but that doesn't mean he want her. he could still kill her. and that's now the princess's work to make sure she doesn't die soon.

i love this.... No no..

Looks like I found a new trope to explore! It's a funny concept that brings in the heartwarming potential of a strong father/daughter relationship. Ariadna is hilarious. Her little comments on her father's behavior are both insightful and humorous. She's perceptive and, though she can't always know what her father is thinking, there are times when she can read Caitel like a book. She's the light in his life, but she just doesn't know it yet. So cute! There were a few weird moments (Ari finding her dad attractive since she's a grown woman reborn as a baby) but it's mostly fluff and comedy with a few tense moments. I heard Who Made Me A Princess is a little better, so I'll check that one out sometime, but I enjoy this story so far, regardless of the lop-sided pacing and somewhat thin character-building.

Ria is killed in her previous life and wakes up as a baby. The catch is that her father in this new life appears to be a rather dangerous man, and the emperor. Despite frequently fearing for her life, it seems in some way her father does actually care about her, though he's more than a little awkward with showing it or being able to tell what is right when it comes to dealing with such a young child. In many ways, this is similar to Who Made Me A Princess, though there is no known story that's been read in the previous life giving any clues to this new life. It will be interesting to see how the relationship with these two and the mysterious Dranste whom it seems most shouldn't be able to see or interact with.
