Max: At 32, I’ve checked a lot of boxes, achieved every goal I set for myself.
Career as a nurse anesthetist, check. Financial security, check. House and white picket fence, check. Kid, check.
You may have noticed that I’m a daddy. That’s right, I am. When Maddie was born via surrogate four years ago, it was the best day of my life. The best decision I ever made.
But there’s still one thing missing from my life—a woman I can call my wife and Maddie can call Mom. I’m ready to meet her, to fall in love. But at this rate, I’m never going to find her. The dating world is a crazy place, but when you’re a dad, it’s a downright nightmare.
Luckily for me, all that changes when I meet Ashlyn. She’s one of my patients, whom I never thought I would see again. But our paths crossed as if we were destined to be. Now, all I have to do is convince Ashlyn she’s the perfect one for me. And for Maddie.

This book is about Max and Ashlyn. He’s a nurse anaesthetist, and a (HOT) single Dad. She’s one of his patients, coming in for an emergency appendectomy. There’s a definite mutual attraction there, but he thinks they’ll never see each other again.
They serendipitously run into each other again as they have dinner with mutual friends. Their attraction only grows and very quickly from here. They exchange numbers and they get to know each other. Their chemistry is electric, and they are so sweet together. That then turns into some major passion, and things get very steamy between them.
They both develop really strong feelings for each other rapidly. Max believes that she’d be perfect for their little family, and is keen for Ash to meet Maddie. Their first meeting goes beautifully, and their connection only grows from there.
It’s a lovely story with a doting and totally dedicated Dad, his adorable and spunky daughter, and the woman who stole his heart, and had enough love to share with both of them. Life is good.
I give this book four and a half stars, and I can’t wait to read more of this author’s work!

I DNF this book. It was good but I’m not a fan of short books because they move too fast. I was giving a mew author a chance. The writing is good, it’s just not for me.
This man talks about how hot and amazing he is for the first chapter and then checks out the girl while she’s literally having her gallbladder removed.
Liked the story the writing was ok but it was very short and very cut and dry ( predictable) would have loved a little more drama. But all in all a great story.
