Dianna Love boxed set Slye Temp series, book .5, 1, 2
I listened to this set on Audible having read them years ago in paperback. Enjoyed the adventure. Original opinion stands - third of these is the best.
Last Chance to Run narrated by Alan Hanin This story pulled me in immediately with Angel planning her escape from being held captive by her former employer. And he's nasty. Great suspense throughout the book. It kept me on the edge with Angel's constant watch against the enemy that's definitely on her trail. I look forward to reading more of this just beginning series.
Nowhere Safe, narrated by Alan Hanin Nowhere Safe is the first (after prequel Last Chance To Run) in a new action thriller series by Dianna Love. The heroine Trish is being threatened and it's up to Josh to help untangle the complicated thread in this spy story. I was pulled in immediately to the story, its turns and twists throughout. A little heat, a little humor. It's the beginning of a series with this particular story ending and setting up the next deftly. A couple of dangling unresolved issues that will lead to the next book, but I love that this one is complete and not a cliff hanger. Well done.
Honeymoon to Die For by Dianna Love, narrated by Stephen R Thorne This is the third (and best to date) of the Slye Temp action thriller series by Dianna Love. I connected with these characters. I felt their pain, their anxiety and their angst. I was immediately drawn into the story and kept riveted until the end. Action, adventure, guns, shooting, running, family arguments, humor, spying, sex, deception, sacrifice, and getting it all right in the end. I recommend this book highly for a action packed afternoon of reading.
Last Chance to Run narrated by Alan Hanin I was pulled in by Angel and how she was forming her escape plan immediately. The story just pulls you in and you don't want to tune it out. Angel has a plan to get her boss taken in by the cops, now if she can just play it out without getting caught and killed. Dianna Love does an amazing job telling the story without you getting bored of the same 'romantic tropes' as some people call it. I also love the way Adam does our Hero. The gruff voice was previous vet who knows how to fly just got me. It's so nice to listen to while I'm driving down the road, or relaxing while waiting to pick someone up from work. I was curious to see how it would be done by a man's voice and Adam Hanin didn't disappoint at all! Kudo's Mr. Hanin and Dianna Love!
Nowhere Safe, narrated by Alan Hanin
This book had a lot of turns and twists throughout rather than all at the beginning or all at the end. Trish our heroine is being threatened and Josh is there to help untangle this complicated net that's been weaved around. It's doesn't leave a cliff hanger like some other books making you wait for another one which I do like. It's nice to be able to read it without feeling like your begging for more (though you are) There are some things left unresolved but it's nothing too bothersome. It's got humor and just enough heat to wet the appetite.
Honeymoon to Die for Narrated by Stephen R. Thorne
The third book of the Slye Temp thriller series is amazing. You're connected to the characters with how Dianna Love writes them it makes you nervous and feeling their pain when they do. She makes it feel real rather than something on a page. It's lovely to be able to enjoy the books with the way she writes them. Mr. Thorne does a good job in telling the story as well. Switching people off can be a hit or miss but I think Mr. Thorne does a good job at narrating this book for us. It's got a lot of action, humor, heat and just makes things seem really real with the arguments that happens between family and everything in life just hitting you. I most definitely enjoyed this book.
As a whole I have enjoyed the box set Audio book. It's been a real treat to sit here and listen to the stories and see how it flows. I've been slowly getting into more audiobooks as of late and I'm happy I was able to enjoy this set of books by Dianna Love!
Angel is on the run from her employer/kidnapper. Zane is flying the plane she stows-away in. When the two come face-to-face, Zane makes the choice to help her and brings her into his home. Even when she won't tell him the shadows of her past, they fall for each other. Meanwhile, Zane's charter business is being used by the DEA for information. When the FBI becomes involved, though, Angel has had enough.
If you're looking for a book with two characters who will trust each other with their lives, but not their secrets...this is the book for you!
Audio Review: Adam Hanin narrates with just that little bit extra. He adds background noise and sound effects. It is almost a one-man play in audio.
Nowhere Safe: Slye Temp Book Two.
Trish Jackson is a recovering alcoholic with a mission to prove her worth to everyone around her. Josh is geared up to catch the man who burned his team. When Josh is sent to investigate Trish as an accomplice to the mole in her brother's organization, he finds out he is not as objective as he wants to be. Trish is dealing with a television show to win a consultant spot and a stalker she cannot tell anyone about, but Josh makes her feel more comfortable.
If you're looking for a smart story with several twists and turns, this is the book for you.
Audio Review: Adam Hanin narrates with just that little bit extra. He adds background noise and sound effects. It is almost a one-man play in audio.
Honeymoon to Die For: Slye Temp Book Three
When Ryder is given a chance to find the ones who framed him for the murder of a family business rival, he jumps at the chance. Bianca only wants to figure out who was responsible for the death of her friend in a foreign country. The two of them begin on opposite sides of the line, but when lives are at stake lines blur.
If you're looking for a fantastic story about two people with personal stakes in the lives of others, this is the book for you.
Audio Review: Stephen R. Thorne is the narrator I think of when I hear Dianna Love Audiobook. He narrates her characters fluently and with grace.
The Slye Temp Series is filled with nonstop action and passionate romance. It is easy to care for the men and women who are fighting to end evil. They willingly put themselves in danger to save innocent lives. I was touched by how they protected those they loved. This three book boxed set kept me reading. All three stories flowed together to create a story filled with heart stopping suspense and breath taking romance. I listened to this set as an audiobook. It definitely enhanced the dialogue. I felt as if I was in the middle of all the action. Dianna Love did a wonderful job creating these characters. I liked that the women were just as dangerous as the men. No damsels in distress here. The enemies tried to wreck havoc on the world, but they underestimated the powerful men and women who worked together to bring an end to their dastardly plans. The ending satisfied me. Good triumphs and love rules. I couldn’t ask for more.
This was my first Dianna Love’s book, and won’t be my last. This amazing box set includes the following three full length books in the Slye Temp Series: Last Chance to Run, Nowhere Safe (narrated by Adam Hanin), and Honeymoon to Die For (narrated by Stephen R. Thorne). The stories are interconnected, with characters intertwined. Each story follows one couple. All stories are entertaining, filled with romance, suspense, action, danger, and twists and turns. The narration is great, and entertaining. I enjoyed it. I am looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
If you want suspense, intrigue, betrayal, violence, steamy relationship, read the Slye Temp series. You'll never be disappointed. I had to pay closed attention to all the spooks and their agencies since their deals are complicated, deceiving, everyone involved trying to get the best deal without caring about the others interests. The male charecters are hot alphas and the female counterparts are their equal. The steamy love scenes? To die for. Hard to put the book down once the reader is trapped in the web of intrigue, spies, treason...Well done.
This is really bad. I get the impression Dianna Love writes romance because she thinks it’s lucrative and not because she has any love for writing or the genre. Plots are absurd, details are sloppy, and no one is remotely likeable. Heroes and heroines are TSTL.
This is a 3 book series which can be read alone. I loved them and couldn't wait for the next thing to happen. There were times I felt there was repetitive in recapping what their feelings are. But it didn't take away from the story. You will be very glad to read this. I can't wait until I can read the rest of them.
I enjoyed then first three books in the Sly Temp series. The first book didn’t seem to fit with the other as Zane was not part of Sly Temp. Both the romance and the suspense were good although I was able to figure out who the bad guy was in books 2 and 3. I will likely read additional books in he series and by this author
The heading says it all. This is full of action and full of hot romance and a complexity of people and the sinister organisations they work against. The loyalty to Slye is the common thread second only to the loyalty Slye gives the operatives that work for the covert operation in return.
I LOVE these Sly Temp stories. In these first three novels, Dianna Love offers heart stopping action and steamy romance as she introduces readers to three of the agency's hot male agents and the women they love. Three exciting and well told stories at one great price.
It Was AWESOME! Great stories in this box set! I love the play between the characters and Dianna's ability to wrap the reader up in the " what happens next" for each of them! Thank you for your time, talent AND THE STORIES!
These stories have a lot of action, danger, suspence and a little romance keeps you turning the pages until the very last page looking forward to reading more books from this author
