Be葲i葯orul N膬zdr膬van = Stories & Pictures, Vladimir Suteev
This book is a collection of short stories by Soviet Russian authors. All the stories apply, in one way or another to young people to those standing on the threshold of life which is both hard and happy, to those who watch the sun awakening. The heroes in this collection are both children and adults. Writers of different generations and various styles wrote these stories about them. But all these writers were guided by their love for people, by their concern for the future of the world.
Vladimir Grigorevich Suteev (5 July 1903 鈥 10 March 1993) was a Russian author, artist and animator who primarily wrote stories for children. He was among the founders of the Soviet animation industry.
This collection of 16 richly illustrated and fabulous children's stories from Vladimir Grigorevich Suteev - the man who is regarded as the founder of animated cartoon in erstwhile Soviet Union - was one of my favorite companions as a young reader.
The illustrations, like the one given below, are so detailed, colorful and cute:
The English edition was titled 'Stories & Pictures' & some of the illustrated stories from the collection like 'Who said "Meow"?', 'Three Kittens' & 'The Helpful Stick' are still bright in my memory.
Suteev's illustrations had a cartoon movie like captivating factor:
It was one of the many fascinating books from the erstwhile Soviet Union, that were available in India during that time.
Even after decades, I still remember reading and re-reading this book along with my kid brother...
Egy r茅gi ismer艖s鈥 :) Most m谩r hetek 贸ta ebb艖l a k枚tetb艖l ker眉lnek ki az esti mes茅k. A kedvencek a Kispipi 茅s Kisr茅ce, A h谩rom kiscica, A gomba alatt, a Miau 茅s A szesz茅lyes cica.
I cannot emphasize how deeply the illustrations are burned into my mind from when I was a child. Truly this is one of my favorite childhood books and I will forever be happy to be from an east german family, since otherwise I would have been deprived of so much wonderful soviet media.
I found the book next to the trash bin... I took it because I felt bad that someone has thrown it away and it become the best book in my whole book collection. Easy stories for small kids and beautiful pictures. I love it, my 3yo son loves it. Please don't throw such great books to the trash!!!
