EVERY reader needs this book! "" - a literary journal for the Book Lover's Soul from @inkandwillowgifts of @waterbrookmultnomah is a journal that I'd be happy to buy, receive as a gift or give as a gift. It's a journal - basically a review journal plus a reference for you on books. I'm in awe with how perfect this is. There's a table of contents where you fill in the books you've added to the review pages. There's also little sections with different topics like spotlight of famous authors, literary matchup games, questions for your inquiring mind, bookish holidays and many many more. There's also a bookish quote at the end of every review page. With a color theme of blue and gold, this journal is elegant. The bonded leather (vinyl) cover keeps it sturdy. This journal allows for 75 personal reviews with "star ratings", inspiring notes, takeaways and basic info like date read, author, genre and title. I will say this, I love it so much, I want more of these. I would think a 2nd, 3rd, 4th...etc. volume will be well received for readers to add to this one. I can imagine different colors for the cover with different extras inside. An added perk may be a ribbon bookmark that complements the cover in color. That way we can head straight to the next review page.
So readers, get this and I assure you, you won't be disappointed. Friends with fellow #booklovers, this would make an absolutely best gift for them. With the holidays in a couple of months, be sure to add it to their stockings! 😉 (This releases in early November. So just in time for the holidays.) . . . . . . Disclosure: I received a copy from the publisher but am in no way required to leave a positive review. This is my honest opinion.

To Read or Not to Read: A Literary Journal for the Book Lover's Soul from Ink and Willow Gifts is a gorgeous book journal that would make a great gift for any bibliophile.
The To Read or Not to Read book journal has pages to record your favorite authors, characters, books, and other book related quotes and information. It is classic in its styling and sure to appeal to all genders from that stand point. It also allows you to create your own table of contents so the whole book is really customized for your book needs. There is plenty of space for book reviews and to include all of the information about that book that is important to you including your rating, notes, takeaways, why it inspired you, when it was published and when you read it and more. There is a fair amount of space to write but if you are a really lengthy writer there might not be enough for you. The journal measures a little over 6 by 7 inches in size so it would easily fit in most book bags. The paper and the cover both have a nice quality feel to them. I think it would be a nice keepsake to pass down if you are a reader to share with your children, along with keeping it to remember all of your favorite book information.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.
I only had a small inkling of what to expect from this beautiful booklover's dream of a journal, filled with quizzes, either ors, reading lists, author bios, and ready to fill out entries so that you can document your thoughts on up to 70 books, rating it and preserving your takeaways.
I had so much fun filling out the quizzes and thinking about my favorite books as I filled out this lovely journal. I also liked learning about other influential Christian authors, which gave me a few more books to add to my evergrowing TBR. It would make an amazing gift for the booklover in your life.
One thing that I would keep in mind with the quizzes and lists, is that it helps if the reader has at least a basic knowledge of the classics. Even though I'll admit that had read maybe 20-30 of the 100s referenced, I still had a lot of fun with this journal and look forward to documenting my reads in it, and will keep this book in mind as a gift for my bookish friends.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I bought this journal last week. It's a lovely addition to my book collection. Although Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ keeps great track of my books, I still love putting pen to paper. There are so many fun things to do in this journal besides listing books. Lots of quizzes, icebreakers for book clubs, etc, etc. It's also the perfect size to pop into your purse or backpack and it will make a great gift for any book lover. I purchased the journal on Amazon.
I love the ease of tracking and reviewing the books I read on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ. However, TO READ OR NOT TO READ is more than a way to track your favorite reads. It's a treasure. There are lots of little gems sprinkled throughout. From the back cover: "[This] is the ideal guide for mapping and reflecting on your own literary journey. With book review pages, fun trivia, lists of award-winning titles, a quiz to test your bookishness, and much more, this journal is the perfect companion for all your forays into the realm of literature." And that sums it up perfectly.
Plot: Every book-dragon and serious reader know that keeping track of the books you've read is a daunting task. Throw in keeping track of the books you want to read and you're pretty much guaranteed to be buried under piles and piles of unsorted books. This is when a journal such as To Read Or Not To Read comes in very, very handy. This journal is designed with book lovers in mind.
Beginning with the table of contents, there are blank spaces to write in the titles of the titles you review for easy future reference. Each page has a space for the book's title, year published, your rating, notes, your review, your final thoughts, why you read the book, and what impact it had on you. Furthermore, there are lists of books such as BBC Top 100 Reads to check off which titles you've read and introduce you to new favorite reads. There is a blank list in the back to list your own to be read titles, and a How Bookish Are You quiz. For a final treat, there are Author Spotlight sections on Flannery O'Connor, Shusaku Endo, Frederick Douglass, Dorothy Sayers, Richard Twiss, and Justo L. Gonzalez.
Likes/Dislikes: This is the first bookish journal I have (shocking, I know) and I absolutely love it! The paper is thick and smooth, the layout of each section is gorgeous and easy on the eyes, and the whole thing makes me excited about reading and discovering new books. I think it is an extra perk that the cover is blue which is my favorite color. All in all, this journal is highly recommended and should be at the top of every book lover's holiday wish list this season.
Rating: G-all ages, geared more toward teens and adults.

I received a copy of this book courtesy of the publishers for my honest opinion and wasn't required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed in the above review are my own.
This is unlike any journal I have ever seen before. That is because it is geared toward those who read, a lot, and who like to keep a record of what has been read--along with their opinions (reviews) of the books. The majority of the volume is devoted to that purpose. A variety of each book’s attributes can be noted on the volume’s forms: the title, author, date read, when published, book type, opinion, rating (5 books being the best), why it was read, any inspiration from the reading, and if it would be recommended to others.
The book is small (5 ¾ wide by 7 ¼ height), but is substantial, that feels good in the hands with pages made of good quality paper. It would fit nicely in a pocket, backpack or purse. There is a place to list books to read, making your own personal TBR (to be read) pile. It also contains some trivia. For instance, there are a variety of lists, to name a few: Pulitzer Prize Winners since 1948; The BBC Top 100 Reads; PBS: The Great American Read.
Book quotes are inserted throughout the book, along with a small number of short biographies of, little-known or rarely highlighted, people. This is a journal, a diary, a book of thoughts, a perfect item for voracious readers. For those in that category, it would be a 5-star book.
Ink and Willow (WaterBrook & Multnomah Gift Line) has provided Tickmenot with a complimentary copy of, To Read or Not to Read, for the purpose of review.
To Read or Not to Read A Literary Journal for the Lover's Soul From Ink & Willow
This is a lovely book that is perfect for keeping track of your reading. You may want more than one if you are a reader who reads a lot during a year. Or if you only want to track those books that you want to reread (or avoid forevermore) this is the way to go.
To journal your books one is given two pages in which to record all the important information. On the left side, there is a column to record the pub date, your read date, your rating (1-5 books - not stars), the reason you read it (book club, friend suggestion, etc.), what it inspired you to do after reading, and to whom you recommended it. Then you can record the book title, author, genre and subject matter, notes about the book, your review of the book, and your final takeaway. And even better the table of contents allows you to record the book title so you can easily find what you are looking for at a later date.
This book is soft-covered and has a pretty blue cover that is on the green-side of blue (at least to my eyes), the lettering has a gold-hue and would look lovely on any table or shelf (unlike a lined notebook, which I have used in the past to journal my book reading).
I also think this would be a lovely way to share your favorite books with a loved one or a close friend. Think book exchange kind of like a cookie exchange where you share recipes with friends. Overall I think no matter how you use this book, it would be a perfect gift to share (or to keep).
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.
What a fun new reading journal for anyone who likes to keep track of their books and prefers pen to paper rather than digital (or likes a mix of both). The cover is elegant with a bit of whimsy (crossing off that silly little ‘not) and sturdier than a paperback while also more flexible than a hardcover. And the inside is even more delightful you can tell it was created by people who unabashedly love all things ‘books. From the table of contents to the ‘books i want to read list at the end, To Read or Not To Read has been crafted with readers in mind. Not only are there lots of places to keep track of books you’ve read (and your thoughts on them), there are fun little bookish quizzes, author spotlights, quotes, and book lists as well as plenty of ways to personalize it.
Bottom Line: This is the perfect gift for any reader in your life â€ or for yourself! And I dare you to stop at one. I’d love to see them eventually come out with different versions & themes so it can truly become a collection for avid bookworms. While I personally prefer typing my reviews on the blog or Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, I will definitely be buying this for people I know who love journaling! And I’m absolutely keeping my copy because it’s so pretty!
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.)
To Read or Not To Read by Ink and Willow Reviewed by: mrsboone4, Green Forest, Arkansas, USA Rating: 4 stars
This is a book for you to fill in about the books you read, whether or not they are your favorites and have a record of your comments on each book and what you like about them. There is a self index, so you can find each book easier, without having to flip through the entire book to find the one you want. It is said that it could be a nice way for future family members to see what you liked to read and what you thought of them.
I am a little disappointed, the book was presented as a "book journal" it's more of a book report book, than journal, at least to me. I already have a book like this, was really looking forward to the "journal" part of it.
It does have lists in the back of it, that are of books that have won awards or classics that you might want to read. There are author spotlights, to learn more about a few authors.
This could be good for a gift or as a multigenerational family project. I received a copy from Ink and Willow and Waterbrook and Multnomah with no obligation for a review.
I am a huge fan of readers journals and I believe To Read or Not to Read is my favorite that I have come across. It has over one hundred eighty numbered pages, with over seventy Book Title entries. Each Book Title entry has sections for author, genre, notes, review, final takeaway, date published, date read, rating, why I read this book, it inspired me to, I will recommend it to, and a different quote inspiring. There is six pages of contents that readers get to fill out themselves. There are, also, author spotlights, quizzes, top picks, favorite quotes, literary matchups, a guide to bookish holidays, book talks, books on screen, lists, wish lists, and favorites. There is nothing I would complain with this journal. I love everything about it and look forward to start filling it out with some great books I have read. Highly recommend it. Five plus stars. I received To Read or Not to Read from the publisher, but was not required to write a review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
This looks like an excellent journal for keeping track of your reading. Wonderfully illustrated, with a two-page format for each book read, it has standard book information fir each book: publication date, date read, a very clever 1-4 book rating system, and the type of book—fiction, nonfiction, genre, and topic. In addition to a space for your review and final takeaways, it also asks why did you read this book, asks if you were inspired by the book, and who you will recommend the book to.
Little facts at the bottom of alternate pages, author vignettes, a book holiday calendar, literary matchups, and book discussion guides complete the contents.
If you like to keep track of what you read, like to make notes and recommendations, and have something to add to your book club, this is the journal for you.📖📖📖📖 recommendation!!!!
I received a complimentary copy of this journal from Ink and Willow to complete a fair and honest review.
This is such a fun book. It's really more of a journal or a reading scrapbook. It would be the perfect gift for a book lover in your life- or even yourself.
When I first started flipping through it I thought "this is the analog version of Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ!" It is full of space to record your thoughts on books you've read, track reading lists, and more. One of my favorite features is the quizzes and lists throughout the book. I've already found a few suggestions for new books I'd like to read one day!
Plus the binding and cover are really beautiful so it looks nice on your bookshelf too. It feels a little bit vintage and the pages are nice and thick. You can decorate and use markers or pens to record your thoughts without worrying about the paper bleeding through.
This is such a fun journal. I suspect I'll want to pick up another copy after I've filled in this one! Thanks to the publisher for providing me with a free copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.
I'm a book lover! I have a soul! To Read or Not To Read was created just for me!
This beautifully bound volume fits perfectly in the hand and the richly jewel toned cover hints at the treasures within. The wide open spaces of the table of contents allow the user to create their own record of the book titles detailed within, and journaling spaces for each book give space to document and reflect upon each one's finer points. Quizzes and author highlights, quotes and reflective spaces, create a book lover's paradise between the covers. Book lists of several types and a list of bookish holidays open a wide array of possibilities for literary exploration and celebration.
To Read or Not To Read is a fully interactive book journaling experience that should not be missed.
Thank you to the publisher for allowing me a copy of this book to read and review. All opinions expressed here are my own and are completely genuine.

Designed for book lovers, you’ll find pages to list and review the books you’ve read, book lists (e.g., BBC Top 100 Reads), trivia (e.g., A Guide to Bookish Holidays), quizzes to test your bookishness, and so much more.
It's a lovely little book, small enough to fit in your purse or bag but it has a rich and quality feel. It feels good in my hands. I find myself picking this book up over and over because there’s just so much to love about it.
Here’s my recommendation. Buy two: one for yourself and one for your favorite reader.

A beautiful journal for the bibliophile. The journal is filled with a two-page review for books, but there are also checklists and top ten style lists spread throughout the book, just waiting to be personalized. The cover is elegant, and the styling of the pages is lovely. It's the perfect gift for my 21 year old daughter!
