This is the second book in The Kings Of Retribution MC series. It continues to follow the characters from Undaunted and This story picks up with Alba and Gabriel. Alba continues to have trouble sleeping after her ordeal and she goes into Gabriel room because she feels safe in there. Their chemistry has always been off the charts but they never acted on them. Then one night she went to his room she decided that she wanted him and was tired of being afraid. She lost her virginity and the next morning she thought they be together but he told her she was just sex. She left his room crying and devastated. He thought he was helping her by making her leave because she had a scholarship to a good college. All she wanted was him and to stay in town with her family. She left for college heartbroken and when her sister asked her to come home to visit she found excuses not to. Gabriel knew he messed up and was unhappy without her. Alba started having weird things happening to her almost as soon as she got to college. She never would tell anyone about what was happening until something vile happened at her apartment that scared her and had her running home. Gabriel has been going through some work complications that involve his family. This story is told from Alba and Gabriel point of views. It is action packed rollercoaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Don't miss out on this well written beautiful story.

The Darkest of Light was the second book in the King’s of Retribution MC series by Sandy Alvarez and Crystal Daniels. I loved the first book and have been not-so-patiently waiting for this one!

We met Gabriel and Alva in the first book. We knew it was a beauty and the beast attraction, we just didn’t know to what extent they had acted (or not acted) upon it. We finally get the full report!

Gabriel Martinez was a patched member of the MC. He was big, quiet, fully tattooed, loyal to family, totally protective alpha and gruff. He also had a soft side that only Alba and his sister saw. Alba Jameson was the beautiful and shy sister to Bella. She was an introverted bookworm that had a chance at college, a dream her sister worked hard for her to be able to achieve. The authors set the stage well by backing us up to their meeting, bringing us into the present, and then providing commentary as needed to flashback, filling in other pertinent details.

There were several mysterious plots running simultaneously that all eventually fed into one central plot. I loved the suspenseful vibe that flowed consistently from the beginning to the end. It kept me turning the pages quickly to keep up.

It was well written with depth, dimension and complexity. The only drawback was the editing errors scattered throughout- that’s the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars. For me, everything else was perfect.

The authors also did an excellent job with providing teasers for future books. Not only within the MC, but with Alba’s support characters. So, a side note to the authors - don’t forget books for Sam and Leah. They are sooo worthy of books of their own. Additionally, I fell in love with everything about Reid. I can’t wait to read his story next in Finding Solace. Bring it on....

4 Gabriel and Alba Stars

This is the second book in the Kings of Retribution series and it centres on Gabriel , the Club's Enforcer and Alba. Alba is the younger sister of Bella from book one.

This story picks up exactly from where the previous one finished and then the book takes us back to how Gabriel and Alba connected initially. Gabriel is the moody, brooding Enforcer who puts the security of his Brothers before everything else. When he sets eyes on Alba , he falls hard but he doesn't want to taint her with the darkness that lives inside him. What he doesn't realise is that Alba feels safer with him than anyone else and slowly the heat between them builds until they can no longer ignore the intense chemistry that is sparking into life. One night they give into it but the next morning Gabriel pushes Alba away. He has his reasons and he is callous enough that she leaves and decides to try to live without the broody biker that has broken her heart. When serious danger comes looking for Alba she returns home but she has been hiding a secret and now it's time to share what has been happening.

You really need to have read the first book to fully enjoy this one. I liked the plot - it was a little predictable in places but there were a couple of things that I did not see coming.

Why not 5 Stars? There were a lot of typos - I can usually overlook them but I think this book would benefit hugely from a re edit. I do not speak Spanish but Gabriel is Cuban so a lot of what he says is Spanish. The authors put the English translation in italics at the end of the sentence which was useful at times but I didn't need to be repeatedly told that Carino means sweetheart.

I liked the secondary characters very much. Sam and Leah are introduced (Alba'a friends) and Leyna , Gabriel's sister. I hope we get more about them all. Sam is a sweetie and I liked his humour which brought a welcome reprieve from a lot of the dark themes in the story.

"This Gabriel, what's his role in the club?" "Gabriel is the club's Enforcer," I tell him. "Jesus fucking Christ, Alba. That's like some Sons of Anarchy shit. That man would straight up murder me, wouldn't he?"
I love the camaraderie between the Brothers and my heart was in my mouth for a little while there when one of them was in real danger. As each book 'ends' for one couple , there is a cliffhanger for the next story and I quite like that. It does mean that I am pretty much hooked on this series at this point. Thank goodness these are all on Kindle Unlimited at the moment - I'm downloading these books like a woman possessed.

If you enjoy books with gruff alpha heroes who will do anything for the woman they love , then give this series a try.

The Gabriel I get is opposite to the Gabriel everyone else gets. With me he's this sweet, loving, gentle giant. With everyone else he's broody, asshole Gabriel.

HEA? More HFN but there is lots more to come. And these two feel solid - I absolutely believe that they are a forever couple.
Cheating? No chance. Despite a separation of a few months , these two are all about each other.

The Cuban's Light!

OMGoodness but Gabriel and Alba's story was fantastic! So much was going on in this one! Grumpy Gabriel was alpha times 2, but boy did he mess up... twice! Alba did a lot of growing up in "The Darkest of Light" and her big reveal/secret was due mainly to her not wanting to disappoint her sister, Bella. The angst in this story, this series left me at the edge of my seat!!!!!!!!!!!

The world of The Kings is engaging and a must read MC series!

"Llegas a mi vida como un sol. Tu eres la luz de mi oscuridad. You arrive into my life like the sun. You are the light to my dark."

5 Engaging stars!

Very rough

Alba and Gabriel have one night together before he ruins it in order to push her to go to college. Heartbroken, Alba runs and doesn't come back for 7 months.....until threats to her life have her returning in fear. Gabriel won't make the mistake of letting her go again.

Ok. So I thought this sounded interesting. Protective biker, a hint of danger/intrigue, and some romance? Sign me up! Yeah no. The writing was really rough. It used a lot of repetitive language that made me want to pull my hair out. It was just very jerky story telling and did a lot of telling rather than showing. I think the worst part about this book was the fact that Gabriel and Alba had a relationship before they did the deed, but it never showed us the lead up or how they really formed any type of bond. It felt very vague and didn't back up all the feelings these characters expressed for each other. This was a very unconvincing and kind of cringy story.

4.5 Stars Spoilers Opinion below

Wow, this series is fantastic. I loved Gabriel and Alba. The storyline is intriguing, moves along seamlessly, loving all of the secondary characters aka extended family, and the love these men exude for their woman...totally swoon worthy:) LOVED getting more of Logan and Bella, too from the first book.

Why not 5 Stars, well for me, I would have liked a little more angst between the main couple. Not stupid drama but for me once they got back, it was near perfect between them and wished I had gotten more groveling in the relationship than hearing it if that makes sense. Yes, he was obviously so remorseful and yes, I knew without a doubt he was miserable in their time apart as well as she was but again once she came back "home" they themselves were too perfect for me. Anyways, just my thoughts!

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

The Darkest of Light is book 2 in The Kings of Retribution series. After not enjoying book 1 I did plan on reading book 2 at some point because I loved Gabriel and wanted to read his story. I'm so glad I did because Gabriel and Alba were awesome together and this book was so good I'm definitely reading more of this series. While some of Gabriel's decisions I understood, I didn't like how he handled them but just like Alba I forgave him quickly. Alba was sweet and loving, perfect for Gabriel. I'm looking forward to book 3.

Ending with a smile

Ending this book with a HUGE smile on my face! Loved this book so much! Gabriel was such a gentle giant but mess with his family and he won’t be so gentle. And Alba she was such a strong young woman with a good head on her shoulders. Loving this series more and more!!

Bummer!
Loved the first book. Can’t stand the h or H in this one. H did no grovel. Just a “hey I’m sorry for the vile disgusting awful things I said and kicking you out after I took your cherry but I’m here now so whatever. And the h? oh you hurt me? It’s ok, my BBS and weakness made me forget, I’m sure it was my fault anyway
I made it to 82%. I tried to finish. Really tried.
The plot was soooo predictable. The H and h weak. So yeah-dnf
But since I loved the first book of this series I was gonna try Reid’s book ( book 3) even though single parent stories aren’t my jam. Glad I read spoilers for that. The h daughter is the H dead brothers kid? I don’t do the whole keep it in the family crap. So I am officially done with this a series.
I try not to rate books I DNF but since I was over 80% through I did.

2/5! if you want to read a book where they are together the first chapter then leave and don’t even talk to each other the first 50% of the book then this is perfect for you. I wanted main characters who actually full interacted with each other so i could see their chemistry, the love, tension and all that! Gabriel (MMC) + Alba (FMC) no connection at all.

However Gabriel earned brownie points from me when he bought Alba books signed from her favourite authors. Gets her pregnant and buys her books how lovely

After being kidnapped and rescued by Gabriel Martinez, Alba Jameson's only source for feeling truly safe and protected was Gabriel. They grew extremely close but Gabriel knew Alba was heading to college and did not want to stand in her way of achieving her dreams. Gabriel pushed Alba away and in doing so broke her heart and lost her trust. Now Alba is back and has a secret, not to mention a stalker who is determined to get to her. Gabriel knows he needs to regain Alba's trust and will do everything in his power to protect her.

This was another great addition to the story. I thought Alba was mature for her age, but she had to be given her history from the previous books. I liked that there were new characters added into the story and Gabriel is a gruff alpha male who is trying to do the right thing. Wonderful story, can't wait to read the next book.

WOW! The Darkest of Light picks up exactly where Undaunted left off, however this is Gabriel and Alba's story. We all know that Gabriel is a rough around the edges kind of guy and Alba always has her nose stuck in a book.

What can I say, this book was a very anticipated can't miss read!! As I was reading, my heart broke so many times for Alba & of course I thought Gabriel was an asshole but I completely understand why. I've only cried with two other authors books and before those two, I never cried while reading any book. Sandy Alvarez and Crystal Daniels truly have this amazing gift of storytelling, these two wonderful ladies have made me cry so much while reading The Darkest of Light that I can't tell you how many tears were shed because of this book! I loved every moment...the good, the bad, all of it! I wouldn't trade any of the emotional impact from reading this book for anything!!

This is only book 2 of the series but let me tell you it’s definitely going to be a dandy and one I know I’ll be reading over and over in years to come. Just WOW! The authors have written a wonderful storyline and the characters are just perfect for it. The bikers are hot, tough, and nothing is more important to them than family; both their biker brotherhood and their women and blood families. The storyline has suspense, romance and bits of humor, all of which will have you hooked from chapter one.

Alba is a young but a strong woman. She knows her mind and doesn’t let the outside world deter her. Gabriel being her one weak spot. Gabriel is the enforcer for the Kings of Retribution MC. He had a tough childhood and had to grow up fast and hard. Nothing means more to him than family. Gabriel loves Alba but he doesn’t want to stand in her way so he rejects her. Alba is devastated but goes on with her life. When life starts to throw her curveballs she pulls herself up and attempts to maintain control of her life. But when things start to unravel can Alba return to her sister and the clubhouse knowing Gabriel is there? Will he reject her again or be there for her to lean on when she needs him the most?

Fantastic 5 Star MC book in a 5 Star series. If you like strong alpha bikers who ride, play and love hard, I Highly recommend The Darkest of Light and the Kings of Retribution MC series! 2 Thumbs Up!!!

Getting even better! Gabriel and Alba's book. Alba is Bella's sister from the first book. Gabriel is the Sgt at arm's for the club. He has had a crush on Alba ever since he first met her but has tried to stay away because of the age difference.
This book has action and adventure alone with suspense with some hot romance. There is a bit of a mystery but I was able to figure it out early on due to a hint from the author at the beginning of the book. Let's see if you can too.

Now to find out who the next book is going to be about. So many people and not enough books for them all.

Another winner! I'm enjoying the series quite a bit. There's still some unfortunate editing issues, but the story itself makes up for it. It was pretty easy to figure out who the bad guy was but I had fun going along for the ride anyhow.

This is the second book in the Kings of Retribution MC series by Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez. I don’t know why I waited so long to start this series but I could kick myself because I am loving it. When Undaunted ended I knew what the big surprise was gonna be and I was right. This book starts out seven months prior to where Undaunted left off. Alba’s graduation/birthday party has just ended. Gabriel Martinez is 25 years old and he’s the Enforcer for the Kings of Retribution MC. Ever since Alba was kidnapped Gabriel has been her only source of comfort. She’s been keeping a brave face for Bella but she’s actually having a really hard time sleeping at night. When Gabriel rescued Alba he brought her back to his room at the clubhouse and he slept in a chair while she slept in his bed. After a week she went back to her room but every night she would sneak into Gabriel’s room and climb in bed with him. The next morning he would always be gone before she woke up and he never said a word to her about it. The night of her party she goes into his room but this time he’s awake and she ends up giving him her virginity. The next day she mentions staying in Polson and attending community college instead of going to Montana State which is four hours away. Gabriel has deep feelings for Alba but he cannot allow her to give up her dreams for him so he makes her hate him ensuring she’ll go away to college. The funny thing is Alba doesn’t even want to go to college she’s only doing it because she doesn’t wanna disappoint Bella. This is another case of two stubborn ass people who do not know how to communicate with one another. I wanted to grab and shake the shit out of both Alba and Gabriel because they were both doing what they thought was right for someone else. Gabriel had a very sad and fucked up childhood and his past comes back to mess with him and the club. Alba goes away to school and is miserable but fortunately she meets Leah and Sam who both become great friends to her. She also has a psycho stalker and instead of telling the police or the MC she keeps it to herself. Gabriel kinda pissed me off because he expected his brothers to have his back and risk their lives but he didn’t wanna tell them about his past. That’s bullshit and if I’m gonna risk my life I at least deserve to know why and they’re supposed to be your brothers who you trust above all others. As much as both Gabriel and Alba pissed me off it was also a very exciting story that I couldn’t put down. I’ll say it again, I’d really like to read a book about Demetri and Nikolai.

I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.

I don't even know where to start on this one. I had been so excited to read Alba and Gabriels story since undaunted. Sandy and Crystal did not disappoint at all. This book gave me all of the feels

I really like how the story started in the exact same place as undaunted ended. I really like how the story went back several months and then at the halfway point you end up getting to the same place as the prologue.

I was beyond angry with Gabriel I'd say a good HALF of the book. haha He knew everything Alba had gone through and he just essentially tossed her aside even if it was for what he thought to be the best for her. Sometimes what's best for a girl is having the guy she loves... Gabriel didn't quite catch on to this fact.

I loved the book so hard! It seriously gave me all of the feels I was mad at gabriel heartbroken for alba (and bella who just wants her sister to be happy). Sandy and Crystal introduced some new characters that I can't wait to see more of. (please tell me Leah, Reid and quinn all have a story in the works!!).

This book was very well written very beautiful I can't recommend this enough. Being a lady who speaks no Spanish I loved that they actually did a translation in the story instead of me stopping every 5 min to look up what a word means.

I highly recommend this book, if you haven't read undaunted you don't necessarily need to read undaunted to read this but what are you waiting for??

Fabulous follow up book. I just fall more in love with this series. This book is fantastically written. Gabriel Martinez has had a difficult life, being ripped away from his homeland and the subsequent murder of his father, Gabriel’s main focus becomes revenge. That is until he meets The Kings of Retribution MC and they take him in and become his family. As a patched member of the MC he has his “brothers backs and they have his. All of that changes when he meets Alba Jameson. All Alba and her sister know is pain and betrayal. That is until she meets Gabriel through her sister. Just when she’s coming out of her shell Gabriel does something idiotic and pushes her way leading her to leave for college. Heartbroken, Alba ignores the signs that she has a stalker until she gets really scared and has her roommate drive her back to the compound. When she sees Gabriel for the first time in months he is in for a shock. Will Gabriel and Alba be able to get over all the hurt they have inflicted on each other? Will Gabriel be able to eliminate the threat to Alba in time?

I can’t wait to see what these authors come up with next. Patiently waiting (NOT) for the next book in this series.

~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Gabriel knows misery but his brothers in the MC have given him some peace. Alba only knows peace when she is with Gabriel. One night with him and he ruins everything. She goes off to college but find shelter back home and under the protection of the club for reasons she cannot control. Gabriel has his work cut out for him with Alba. He needs to eliminate this threat to her and make things right between the two of them. Will Alba ever trust him again? Will she ever find peace again?
Excellent book. The twist and turns in the read will make you definitely want more from the MC.
~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~

Alba has wanted Gabriel for a long time and she takes her chance with him only to have him destroy her the following morning. She runs away from him and the protection of the MC. Unfortunately danger finds her and forces her back home, but she is determined to make her way without Gabriel in her life. Gabriel will not accept not being with Alba as he knows he made the biggest mistake in his life when he destroyed them, but what if it's too late for either of them as danger finds Alba. Oh WOW! Loved this book so much. I love how strong Alba was even when she faced some pretty hard choices in her young life. The characters are what really made this story what it is. I would highly recommend this book and author!!! AMAZING READ!!!

I was simply swooned by the characters and the story of The Darkest of Light, the second book of the Kings of Retribution MC. I had been waiting for this book for weeks, and I was not disappointed by the amazing writing of sisters Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez. It focuses on Alba and Gabriel, and it is full of angst, drama, steamy scenes and unexpected twists and turns.

The character development is phenomenal, giving lots of insight into the main characters, who we met in Undaunted. Alba is Bella's 19-year-old sweet and bookworm sister, while Gabriel is a broody, badass biker and tattoo artist. Deep down he is also a huge teddy bear, imperfect but ready to step in and protect the love of his life!

Can't wait to see what's next from this writing duo. I've said it in the past, they have a bright future ahead.

MC, MC, MC... Gimme, gimme, gimme. It can be a scary genre but it's so amazing, so wild, so forbidden, so raw...
I've read my fair share of this books but I always want more. To top that, to have the chance of knowing new author's is amazing. So amazing. In this particular case I got two. Hurray me.
Sandy Alvarez e Crystal Daniels know what they are doing because this book is.... Amazing. Their writing complete each other. It's wild, raw, simple yet detailed and with so much to offer between words.
The Darkness of Light is their latest release and it's the second book from The Kings of Retribution MC and I need to read the first one. I have so many questions that need answers and I need Undaunted.
This new book tells the stories of Gabriel and Alba.
Gabriel is the enforcer for the Kings of Retribution MC. He is a raw guy but don't let that fool you because he had a kind heart, but to find it you need to dig into it. He had a very bad childhood as that made him the way he is today.
Alba is a bookworm, if you look out for her she has her head stuck into a book, but don't let that fool you because she's a very strong girl. She has a huge crush for Gabriel but when he rejects her and breaks her heart she loose it. She needed to get away from him so she opted to go to college and do something with her life that she really wanted. But life isn't easy and has other ideas for her so she need to get back. But how can she?
Jesus... Can I be even more overwhelmed? This books has is all.
Great storyline, amazing plot and these two are something else entirely. The interation between them is raw, it's suffering, it's exquisite and astounding but he's so stubborn that I wanted to slap him.
Let me tell you that I wanted to hit him hard enough to hurt but I couldn't because he had a very good reason to be the way he was.
This story will give you loyalty, friendship, family, love as well as heartache, deceive, punishment, angst, drama and so on.
But you can rest your heart because steamy scenes are in here too. Oh boy... Hot...
I'm amazed with it's intensity and I can say that I really want more, but first I'm going to read Undaunted and get the answers I'm seeking than I'll impatiently wait for more from these two author's.
Please girls... When can we have more? Will we have to wait to long for it? Please say no.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

So having fun with this series. This is truly a hidden gem as far as MC series are concerned. Truly, I cannot wait to see what is next. Do you yourself a favor and indulge yourself in this series!!

The story picks up right where 'Undaunted' left off. The authors have covered all of their bases, so far as far as continuity is concerned, that each book could be read as a stand alone. However, it's my true feeling that you would do yourself a great disservice because these stories are truly kick ass.

Okay, now onward!

When we last left our heroine Bella and her sister Alba Jameson, they had encountered The Kings of Retribution MC. After the harrowing experience both sisters endured, they've come to find a family within the MC's band of misfits. Separate they're vulnerable, together they can't be stopped.
**SPOILER WARNING!!**
(If you don't wish to be spoiled - and who doesn't? - DO NOT CONTINUE)

**I'm Warning You! Yes You! Shoo!!)

The story begins with a recap of past events and barrels into the tale of Gabriel, the enforcer for the MC and Alba Jameson, Bella's younger sister. Though she really is more of a mother to her, Bella is forced to let Alba grow and live her life as she ventures onto college away from Bella for the first time.
Alba encounters happiness and heartache as her story unfolds on her journey from the MC to college. But as life is always, it's not all sunshine and roses.

Enter: Gabriel.

Gabriel is a talented tattoo artist. A walking tapestry of tattooed art himself, he spends his days tattooing folks but he has a darker side. A dark side that can only be tamed but two things, blood or Bella's little sister, Alba. Their stories tangle together and weave a truly AMAZING story of heartache, love, murder and of coarse, mayhem.
There, and you thought I'd spoil everything.
In short, check this series out, I see great things coming from these authors!!

I absolutely LOVED the fact that The Darkest of Light picked right back up where Undaunted left off, except it centered around Alba & Gabriel. And these two are as opposite as opposite could be; for example, Gabriel is the rough around the edges, Enforcer for The Kings of Retribution MC, while Alba is a very smart girl who always has her nose in a book. But for whatever reason, they just clicked, and spent the night together, then the next morning, Gabriel broke her heart. So, Alba goes on to college to move on, although she's devastated. Life isn't through with her yet, but as each new hurdle comes at her, she faces them head on. Until one too many hurdles trip her up, and she runs home for help, even with Gabriel there. Boy, this book was off the charts insane! I'm not even sure if I have forgiven Gabriel yet, because here's the thing, I'm tired of men deciding what's best for women, becoming the martyr, thinking that we can't make the decisions for what's best for us. See there? That's how brilliant this duo of author's are, I'm talking like Gabriel is a man in real life. But seriously, I wanted to junk punch him so many times for that questionable douchey decision, because I LOVED the strong Alba! OMG when she confronted him for another douchey decision he made, and her sister with the follow up, I almost wet my pants laughing, so there was perfectly placed humor throughout the story. Plus, the colorful cast of secondaries added more depth, drama, and humor, so I can't wait for them to have their own stories in the future. Angst for days, drama, SCORCHIN sexy times, & f-bomb dropping worthy twists round out the EPIC goodness of this awesome story! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

The Darkest of light was flipping amazing loved everything about it which wasn't shocking because Undaunted was really good . Even though this is book two in the Kings of retribution it can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest that you one click it along with this one . I loved how Sandy and Crystal wrote the story line the way they did and to put it in both point of views because it's always awesome to see from both perspectives . With the way the first book ended lets just say I needed Alba and Gabriels book like immediately . Alba is such a kind soul her beauty on the outside matched the inside so loved when her feistiness came out though , I'm hoping to hear more about the friends she made so wanting Sam to get a book . Gabriel just writing his names makes me shiver love a man with an accent and what he calls Alba green with envy over here . the sex scenes were really steamy and had me fanning myself with the hotness coming from these two . My heart broke a couple of times for some characters and I can't wait for these amazing authors to create stories for them .

Fantastic read and great follow-up to the first in this series. This book is extremely well written and full of angst, intrigue, drama, a bit of biker banter and some pretty steamy sex scenes. But it is the story of Gabriel and Alba that will have you turning page after page to see how their story plays out. If you read the first book in this series you know that Alba was rescued with her sister from human traffickers and Gabriel is the one who took Alba out of the building. Now, that they are back to the clubhouse, he has stayed with her, watching over her, giving her security and comfort. Alba more than likes Gabriel and although he will not admit it, the feeling is mutual and when Alba walks into his room before leaving for college, he gives her what she has been desiring, except the next morning when he realizes that she would give up her college future for him and he does the only thing he can do, he breaks her heart. She moves on to college and tries to put Gabriel out of her head. She makes a friend in Sam, the hot, sweet Quarterback who every girl has their eyes set on, but he's not that interested in them. Then there is Leah who Sam and Alba meet at the library and the three become fast friends.

These characters are so very well written and quite well developed. I loved that although Alba was young, she was not stupid, nor was she a wimpy female lead. Gabriel, well...he's a biker..their enforcer so you know that he is badass and totally alpha, and he is one huge, dangerous man when crossed!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book because there are so many questions left unanswered in this story and I have to know what happens next! I highly recommend this book!!

These authors blew me away with their debut, Undaunted which is the first book of this series, so to say I had high expectations for this book is putting it mildly. I expected something that would captivate me and make me lose myself in the story. I was not disappointed. The Darkest of Light surpassed all of that. These ladies wrote a story that more than wows you, they wrote a story that completely takes you over and doesn’t let you go until the very last page. I devoured this book in one afternoon. I ignored everything around me because I was completely sucked in to Gabriel and Alba’s story.

Gabriel was everything I thought he would be and more. The way he was with Alba is enough to melt any woman into a puddle of Gabriel loving mush. He truly would give her the world if she asked. I’ve been waiting (very impatiently) for Gabriel and Alba since the end of Undaunted and it was so worth the wait. These two are incredible! Alba is even stronger than I could have ever imagined and has grown into a woman that can stand through the strongest of storms. Brave, kind, and loving she’s the kind of character you can’t help but love.

They’re story isn’t easy, it’s not fluffy and light, what it is though is heartbreakingly beautiful. Real and deep their love is one that overcomes and resonates within you. I can’t wait for the next in this incredible series!
