no matter how i dont like rating anything, it is nice to know what shelf this or that belongs to. it gives you control, of some kind. this book belongs probably to five star shelf, my general disappointment in art and lack of knowledge probably wont let me put 5 stars on it though. but i want to as it gave me a lot to remember. even things i didnt know i remembered. i felt so much warmth and care from my own childhood which differs from the author's child years but its bits and pieces, feelings, laughs, worries, they are similar in so many ways. i like his style a lot, so pleasant, vivid and funny. its light ironic touch is what i am a bit tired of, it is quite common today. what do writers hide using it? and too many brackets to my taste cant wait for his next novel
