I am biased when it comes to this review. I found Dale Carnegie's original book " How to Win Friends and Influence People" in the trash when I was on the back of a garbage truck working as a loader. From there I found his other books and they changed my life. The people skills that are required- especially today- to lead employees is so important. It doesn't matter what industry you are in, if you can't get people to work together you can't get anything accomplished. I would highly recommend this book and Mr. Carnegie's original. The knowledge you gain can be used as soon as you close the book.
I feel like this was a pretty practical and enlightening read. Being loosely based on the exceptional work of Dale Carnegie, the book challenged me to see leadership from a more living perspective. I approached this book as a an individual who would have used "Leader" and "Manager" synonymously, but now I see the entire concept of leadership differently.
Overall, this seems like a great guide for handling interpersonal relationships.
Really picked up speed towards the end. In a world dominated by the words "employee engagement" the definition and explanations here really resonated with me. I have new expectations and responsibilities.
Really liked the book. All these books are linked together and I really like it. You get a very nice understanding of how their teaching relate to each other! Will definitely read it again
