“Your love for her is dangerous and unnatural.
I grin. “I’m dangerous and unnatural.

Bronson:
Olive skin. Amber eyes. She has been mine since we were fourteen.
She was my beautiful distraction from the chaos I was born into.
From the disturbances in my own mind.
From my legacy.
So when everything we created together is ripped away, I burn the idea of a peaceful life. Widening my arms to my inevitable fate, I accept my duties.
Without her, I embrace a single purpose.
To protect my brothers.
To protect my family.

Shoshanna:
Green-blue eyes. A dimpled grin. The world was a mere playground to my nutcase, Bronson Butcher.
But I destroyed him.
So he walked away from me, dragging behind him one half of my severed heart.
Eleven years later, the crazy son of a bitch appears, bleeding out on my hospital table.
A bullet wound. Of course.
We have both changed so much.
Bronson now lives by a deranged and bloody moral code. And he takes whatever he wants. . .
Whomever he wants.

Her Way is book three in the Kids of The District Series. It is best that you read The Duet - Our thing & Cosa Nostra before this book. Her Way has a HEA. And it features a possessive and dirty-talking hero who may be a little crazy, as well as a fiery and determined heroine. Both main characters are possessive, jealous, and fight for each other. It is a love story first. Word steam second. Violence, gore, and drama, third. Enjoy.

I liked this ok. It was less wordy than the last duet.

This couple goes through a lot. I feel like we missed out on their early love story, we get flashbacks, but I still felt pretty in the dark on what exactly went on. They seem to be soulmates, but we aren't really sure why. It kinda sounded like they both got off on killing people, but that was just hinted at and never confirmed. Also, it was implied in the last book that the H was looking for the h, but in this book, there really wasn't much about that. He seemed wholly unaffected by seeing her again, and didn't indicate at all that he'd been searching for her. I'm not really sure why it would have been hard to find her. She worked at a major hospital and hadn't changed her name... so....

The beginning is a little slow moving, mostly due to the very anti-clamactic way they meet and his reactions... but it does take off. He goes full crazy-town mode and steals her away. I enjoyed that aspect. I was bit put off by some of the BDSM elements, because it seemed like he'd been that way with other partners before... where did that collar come from??? I don't like it when BDSM elements just seems like what the H does with all his partners, and the h isn't special. I did appreciate that it wasn't really formal hard-core BDSM... so, no costumes beyond the collar, and no safe words... He just likes control, and she likes giving it to him.

Anyway I was pretty on board with this book until the very end, just like the last book. The author throws us a punch to the teeth. This couple has suffered plenty, and the twist at the end, concerning their baby, hurt my heart and pissed me off. They didn’t deserve that. 🤬

Bottom Line? I don't like crappy HEAs 😐 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

⚠️SAFETY SQUAD SPOILERS⚠️

- no cheating on each other while together - the h cheats on her fiance with the H when they first see each other again after a TEN YEAR separation.

- no sharing - but there is exhibitionism

- OW drama - the H is a huge flirt, and I was really put off with both his catting around in the last book, and all the interest he paid to OW in this book, even if it was supposedly innocent. It was ok when he was obviously doing it to get the h riled up, but there’s a scene in the hospital where the h isn’t around and he’s totally flirting and touching a nurse. It made me angry. Why???

- OM drama - the h is engaged to OM when the book starts - the H is jealous

- Both the h and H were virgins their first time together

- Both the h and H sleep with OP during their 10 year separation

- BDSM lite

- no condom use or discussion even though he has been whoring around and she was actively sleeping with her fiance

- the h is forced to abort their baby when she was 17

- the H has mental health issues

- the baby the H and h have at the end of the book isn't the H's (probably the dead fiance's but it's not said explicitly)

Dear Harris,
We need another book for Bronson and his beautiful distraction Shoshanna and their babies with all blood and tears and pure joy pls.

3nd reading
Second time was like could not having enough of it cuz' I'm still sad about they have one book, so I'd re-read here and there. After finishing I had to read again. And I'm damn happy to read more of them especially with more kids.

This is a great novel, this is a fucking great romance novel. I don’t consider as a dark cuz to me if dynamics between the couple are dark, so the book itself. But you folks do, I can see that, so the reasons why it’s tagged dark are: there is gore, abuse, triggers such as fertility, abortion, trauma.

Look, I read lots of heroes who can fuck and love their woman- bad boys, good guys, almost-villains
But there are not many fucked up heroes who can fuck and worship their woman.

I mean, his love is so beautiful it’s almost touchable. He is so beautiful,,,,, crazy, funny, deadly, cute, adoring, vulnerable, possessive, protective, desperate, monster, lover, savior, owner, giver,,,

Shoshanna is one of the lovely h, no flaws or wrong decisions (which are not) overshadowed her character.

This will highlight ur senses.
Emotional, sensual, dramatic, tragic, romantic, erotic, kinky, intimate, touching,,, the list is long. You can believe,,, feel their love even if you remove all L words and sex scenes.

And you know what, nothing in this book disappointed me.

Well, @author.nicciharris has done it again. This was my most highly anticipated release this year & it did NOT disappoint. We got to meet Bronson Butcher in the first two books of the Kids of the District series & his charisma instantly drew us in. This story follows Bronson & Shoshanna -their past & now. I knew this was going to be an emotional book before I started, but man oh man, I wasn’t ready for everything this sweet couple has endured.

This book was gritty, raw & emotional . The characters are both beautifully broken & still very much in love with each other when they end up in each others lives after 10 years has passed. The chemistry between the two is palpable. They literally complete each other-2 halves of a whole.

I couldn’t put this book down. There is drama, mystery, steamy, passionate sex & LOVE of epic proportions.

You’ll fall in love with Bronson’s jovial, psychotic nature & the way he loves his people hard. Shoshanna is fierce & loyal & puts the people she cares about above herself.

Make sure you have some Kleenex when you read this because you’ll need it. If I I could give this story more than 5 stars I would. This book was everything I didn’t know I needed & I cannot wait for Clay’s story. The Butcher boys will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Nicci is a master at weaving words & pulling you into the story making you feel as though you’re experiencing everything along side the characters.

Be sure & check the TW as this is a darker mafia romance.

I received an ARC & this is my honest review

Bronson and Shoshanna grew up together in the district though both from different backgrounds they found a peace together becoming each other’s everything until that is it all imploded leaving Shosh with a decision that meant she lost either way. Believing that Bronson hates her she leaves but she can’t forget the boy that was the love of her life.

Fast forward eleven years and who should turn up on Shosh’s operating table but Bronson suffering from a gunshot wound. She’s now a surgeon complete with one boring and controlling fiancé Perry but one look at Bronson and all the years just seem to roll away her intense feelings for her nutcase are exactly the same. Shosh would like nothing more than to return to Bronson but she now has other priorities to consider, her sister for one who is brain damaged from a car crash and she also relies on her fiancé to manage her care. He in turn uses this love for her sister to control her. But Bronson won’t take no for an answer using extreme methods that most definitely err on the side of psychotic. He’s always been a bit unhinged but when it comes to Shosh and keeping her well he’s prepared to do what he must.

This is obsessive psychotic co-dependency in all its toxic glory and it was wonderful. This book may be my favourite so far and Bronson is such an insane goofball. He’s such a contradiction and he’s so unpredictable with it; he could be smiling whilst still contemplating putting a bullet between your eyes all whilst wearing his frozen Olaf top. He also loves his family’s deeply and once considered his he’s loyal to boot.

This was told in a flashback manner so you get both past and present Shosh and Bron. This really gives you a lot of insight into their particular dynamic together. There’s also a lot more story growth concerning Jimmy and the plot for revenge after the revealed revelations in the previous book so we get a lot of that here too. I had a couple of niggles with this mostly concerning story plot but for the most part, this was grand. A fabulous addition to the series and Bronson’s story definitely didn’t disappoint.

I've had to have a long hard think about this book and the fact i have to do means so much.

So Nicci brings us Bronson and Shoshanna, i have been eagerly awaiting their story for months. He was a key character in Our Thing and Cosa Nostra.

She came in hard and fast. Giving us flashbacks of their past and what lead us to them being apart for long and it broke my heart.

Then theres the present, the story where their reunited, it shows us Bronson in all his alpha / possessive / obsessive / dominating / protective ways which i LOVED him for.

Nicci writes with so much love, passion and emotion with Bronson and Shoshanna it will leave you so emotional.
Then there's the business side, Bronson having to deal with enemies and protecting his family which will leave you on the edge of your seat.

The love i have for this book is indescribable and is hands down my favourite book of the year!!

If you love Dark Mafia Romance you need Her Way in your life.

Trigger warnings through out.
Now i eagerly await Clays story.

I felt irritated several times while reading this. Despite the MMC’s possessive personality, which is usually super hot and a win in most books, he’s still super flirty with literally every single woman in the book. I just found that annoying. When a book has a “touch her and I’ll kill you kinda vibe, I typically like when the MMC is just dismissive to all other women around him and not entertain their advances. It had me so frustrated that she didn’t smack him on the back of his head when he’s winking at another woman with her right next to him.

I also really didn’t like her taking the blame for what happened. In the chapters that were his POV he claims to have felt bad for what happened but he never actually apologized or attempted to tell her she wasn’t at fault. If anything I felt like he needed to grovel a little after the way he treated her when she felt alone and in pain.

Frankly I just found this book to just be lacking and it was just fine.

it’s kinda weird to me how the author feels the need to write in explicit details a 13/14 having sex. i only stayed until the famous ring part and it was highly disappointing. also there’s this really cool thing. it’s called consent. (no, i’m not talking about when they were kids)

Where do I even begin with this review. This book left me speechless. I was so excited for the release of Bronson’s story and it did not disappoint at all, if anything it exceeded my expectations.

We hear from dual perspectives in this book. The story goes from Shoshanna’s and Bronson’s childhood, to their present. You get to see Bronson in a new light and I love him even more. Well as much as you can love a fictional character.

My heart was racing at parts of there story, I thought I was going to have a heart attack at one stage. The emotions I felt were felt because of how breathtaking this story is. Nicci has done a fantastic job in capturing Shoshanna and Bronson. There story is relatable and touching.

Shoshanna is living in Darwin with her sister, she is a doctor at their local hospital and is trying to become a cardiovascular surgeon. She gets beeped to a code and is stuck on the spot when she sees the man lying on the gurney. The man with the Anubis tattoo on his side. The man who she left behind many years ago is here, on a gurney with a bullet hole in his chest and she can’t move.

Bronson is in Darwin sorting out his bosses nephew. He’s then taken into hospital after being shot in the chest. When he awakes and hears a familiar voice he’s on his feet walking towards it. Despite the nurse telling him to stop. He pins the owner of the voice to the wall and sees her amber eyes. He can’t believe she’s here. After all these years. After searching to no avail. She’s here.

Can Shoshanna and Bronson move on from their past, together? Or have they already moved on with there lives. What tore them apart in the first place? Is there any hope for Bronson to have his happily ever after? Find out in this explosive captivating story. This is the fourth instalment of the “Kids of the District series. You won’t want to miss this, Bronson is my favourite Butcher boy.
This book is also my favourite because of nurse Katie 😉 she has a great name.

Her Way
By: Nicci Harris

The feels: 5/5💋
The steam: 4/5🔥
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌀Kids of the District Series
🌀Second Chance Romance
🌀Mafia Romance

💞Bronson & Shoshanna

🌿Before I launch into all things Bronson Butcher, I just want to start by saying how much I fucking loved this book. I’m emotionally hungover for the first time in a hot minute and I’m not even sad about it. 😍

🌿Her Way follows Bronson Butcher, the walking orgasm🥵 This Butcher Boy is our very own badass, deliciously handsome, crazy impulsive made man. He’s intensely sexual, insanely ruthless, hot AF, and has one very distinct weakness—his first love, Shoshanna. No matter how much time they spend apart, his heart beats for her.

🌿After years of dating Bronson, the traumatic demise of their relationship, and the agonizing state of her home life, Shoshanna wanted nothing more than to disappear and start over. After a decade, she’s finally become a doctor, gotten engaged, and has begun creating a comfortable life for herself.

🌿But when a very injured Bronson needs surgery, what’s a girl to do? Little does Shoshanna know that the comfy life she’s constructed is about to get HELLA exciting! And while Shoshanna thinks she craves all things stable and secure, once you go Butcher, it’s very hard to go back. 💥

🌿Throughout the story, we see strengths AND demons of Bronson and Shoshanna, especially considering their collective pasts. But fucking hell, they are so in love. Yes, their physical chemistry is explosive and the sex is insanely hot—but it has nothing on the undeniable adoration they feel for each other. Their incredible connection is obvious in every interaction and gahhh, I just loved it all🥰

🌿I couldn’t get enough of these two and I’m already planning a reread because this book was so fucking good. The characters were amazing, the banter was witty and hilarious, the sex scenes were scorching, and the angst, drama, and suspense will shock the fuck out of you. You NEED this book!

THIS IS HOW A BOOK SHOULD BE WRITTEN!!

While I bawled like a baby with Max, I was angry and ready to fight with Bronson. I felt their emotions so raw with each of their stories. Nicci opened up each of their lives, hearts, and minds in their individual stories. I lived and breathed every emotion that each of these beautiful men felt. Bronson…my big nutcase child. He has his family and his peace now. Oh how I’ve been ruined for any other man and book.

Read it if you don’t mind being pissed off about the baby daddy

Spoiler

WTF why would the author put them through all that just for the baby to not be his WTAF that ruined this entire book for me! I’m so pissed off. Some authors really know how to ruin a good book and this author is a prime example

OH GOOD LORD 😍

This book made my heart beat ten times faster than normal! Literally everything about Bronson and Shoshanna made me feel all the things throughout their entire storyline. The two of them were literally made for each other & would burn the world down to get to one another. If that isn’t just the dreamiest!

If you thought you loved any of the other Butcher boys, you haven’t read Her Way because Bronson is everything a gal could want and then some! Yes Max is absolutely the OG for me, but there’s something about Bronson that just radiates will burn the world down for the ones he loves.

Nicci did it again and made me fall in love with another Butcher boy in one go! This book is to die for! I think I’m obsessed 🤩

OMFG, I am so in LOVE with Bronson and his “manic golden retriever energy. He’s playful, sweet but also a freaking psycho (her nickname for him is “nutcase), and I love it. This story was gritty and dark, but oddly sweet and sentimental. Both Bronson and Shoshanna have a ton of baggage, especially poor Bronson. There are some absolutely gut-wrenching flashbacks of his childhood, it made my heart ache. Poor Shoshanna had a ton to deal with too, especially as a teen. Bron is unhealthily obsessed with her which leads him to do some *dark* things in order to have her for himself, but it made me like him even more. There is a 🌶 scene with a 🔫 that will stick with you.

This is a second chance, dark mafia, captive romance.

Oh.
My.
Gods.
Which gods?
All of the gods - past and present and future.

I admit, I wasn't actually expecting Nicci to top Max and Cassidy. I mean, she's an amazing writer and all, but come on. It's MAX and Cassidy. The two that are meant to be together through thick and thin.

But Shosh? Bronson's Emperor pigeon? Jeebus fucking Christ and all the other deities.

These two aren't just made for each other. They're parts of each other. A single entity split in two. I write about lifemates, but this... Damn. Reincarnation exists JUST for them. They are just... Damn.

And damn again.

Nicci has done it again.

And now I really REALLY REALLY can't wait for Clay's book because each release is just so insanely better. Like, properly insane because how can you possibly top perfection?

Okay, so you know how much I loved Max and Cassidy, but I love Shosh and Bronson even more.

I want to preface this by saying BRONSON ISN'T FOR EVERYONE, AND THAT'S OKAY! Don't go into this expecting Max, because he's not Max. Bronson is very protective of his family, and has a lot of guilt from his past and it comes out in very aggressive ways -- always with the best intentions at heart, and always with a smile.

Why did I love them more? Shosh isn't perfect. She's got a messy past too, and has demons of her own. It's very easy to relate to her, and why she makes the decisions she does in her life. The romance was beautiful, the story was heartbreaking, and I loved every single moment of this amazing book.

The Queen has done it again! I am a longtime fan of Nicci Harris's work, and I am constantly astounded by her ability to continuously produce top-tier romances that straddle the line between "oh that's hot" and "holy crap it's on fire !!!!

Her Way is a dark romance and is perfect for readers who relish dirty as sin flirting and smeggsy scenes that will leave you wondering, "Am I into this?" It's an extension of the Kids of the District series and focuses on Bronson Butcher- a dangerous psychopath with a heart of gold and his lady love Shoshanna AKA the one that got away.

Bronson is reminiscent of Diesel in Den of Vipers but with an added complexity. Yes, he's borderline psychotic with an"I hear voices in my head laughing" vibe but he cares so deeply and has this quiet vulnerability that shows his capacity for love. To Bronson, Shoshanna feels like something that he has yearned for his entire life- home.

One thing I relished in Her Way was the intimacy of the connection between Bronson and Shoshanna. Their passion is palpable and the emotions are raw and unfiltered! This isn't some fleeting romance but years of emotions, love, and unsaid words that culminate in an explosive reconnection that will leave readers breathless and squirming (wink).

Her Way also features my favorite trope, "Hot, crazy bad boy who everyone wants but he only has eyes for one woman" and I was 100% here for it. The writing is riveting, the plotline is superb and the characters are addictive!

I highly recommend this for lovers of dark mafia romance, slightly psycho male leads, sizzling smeggsy scenes, and quality writing then look no further.

I’m so blow away on this book. Nicci Harries you really put down your self on this one.

Shoshanna and Bronson have a rollercoaster of a relationship, but they were made for each other.
Shoshanna is trying to make it in the medical field, and being a woman makes it a lot harder. He is a little messed up in the head from his years working with Jimmh Storm, but with her he is an incredible guy any girl wants to be with.

Bronson is everything I need in a book boyfriend. He does have psychopathic tendencies, but the best one always do right? I loved how protective he is over Shoshanna, and I really enjoyed reading about their relationship.

I have to say Bronson is one of my favorite brut her brother. He funny wild and very passionate as well. It been a honor read this arc book.

Nicci does it again with this newest book in the Kids of The District series. I thought Max was my favorite but sorry not sorry. Bronson is my new favorite Butcher brother. He has this rough but rareness about him that draws me to him. He and Shoshanna are the perfect match. To semi quote Megan Fox "Bronson and Shoshanna are twin flames. From the first moment that they met; they were meant for one another.

The sexual chemistry these two shared is off the charts. I was loving every moment of this book. I could not read it fast enough. Once I started, I literally could not stop. My heart was breaking over and over again with these two. Shoshanna is a fiery firecracker. She knew just how to push Bronson's buttons. Yet, looking into Bronson's eyes had her melting under his touch.

Warning: You may need to have a cardiologist on speed dial; as your heart will be ripped apart and slowly pieced back together while reading Her Way by Nicci Harris.

Bronson Butcher, the brother we’ve all been waiting for, DID NOT disappoint! I loved this character from the minute he was introduced in Max & Cassidy’s duet. Then add in how he’s been pining over a woman since he was 14, and I was already sold.

This book follows Bronson reconnecting with Shoshanna after 11 years apart. It’s told in both the present as well as flashbacks from their teenage years when they fell in love. Normally I have a hard time getting into flashbacks because it breaks up the story. It does NOT do that here. Each flashback fits seamlessly into the story, giving you insight at just the right moments in order to build the tension and love that these characters have for one another.

These two are just freaking perfect for each other. Shoshanna was forced into a little box of normality where she thought she was taking the safe road, one that was stable and would bring her happiness but she’s utterly miserable, and it takes Bronson crashing into her life again for her to finally realize what she’s been missing all this time.

He also goes about getting her back in the most Bronson Butcher way possible which just absolutely had me cackling. It was so much fun reading about Shoshanna finally finding herself again using the intense love that these two share to bring her back.

And that ending?!? I wasn’t prepared. Not at all. I really can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment with Clay!

This story is a brilliant blend of the most profound love paired with sweet insanity. Bronson Butcher is a madman, Shoshanna's nutcase as she calls him, and he's painted onto the pages of a story I can only describe as an intense work of art. Where do I start?
There is an elegance to the writing of Bronson and Shoshanna's story that I felt on every page. I loved that we got to go back in time to their teenage years, how they met, who they were, and then jump to the present. There is so much emotion involved it's hard to put into words.
Bronson is captivating; his mind, heart, witty banter, and presence are flawless. Then we have Shoshanna; she's brave, strong, beautiful, and she gets the beautifully damaged mind of Bronson. This love story captures it all. I laughed and cried for these two. I will forever remember Bronson's conversation with his three-year-old niece, Kelly; at the beginning of the book, the level of love and humor Bronson possesses made this book my favorite read of the year, hands down. Nicci Harris is a genius, and this is a story that should become a movie right along with Cosa Nostra and Our Thing. If you want a book that has it all when it comes to dark romance, mafia, carnage, love, and book boyfriend, you can feel in your soul; this is it!

Oh wow! What a journey - what a story!
I feel so many things for Bronson that I never expected to feel. When I read about Cassidy/Max, I knew that I would be falling for Bronson but I didn't think that I would be so hard! Bronson gives me slightly unhinged vibes but also the most loyal and hard-loving man that I have come across in a long time.

Shoshanna is such a badass! I mean between her love for sister, Bronson and then her handling of Victoria, I love her so much more with each page. I must admit I struggled in to like her in her present day POV chapters, especially as she came to terms with her feelings about Bronson being back in the picture.

The spice in this book was beautiful and exactly what I needed for a couple with so much chemistry. I also shed tears, had my heart in my stomach and was on the edge of seat towards the end of the book.

This book was beautiful and I am so grateful to have an ARC of this and I can't wait to continue the journey in the district.

I really, really enjoyed this book. It was spicy, exciting, and Bronson is my favorite kind of crazy. He gives off "touch her and die" vibes, and he's totally devoted to Shoshanna. I would definitely recommend this book.

From the beginning of “Our Thing I have been obsessed with Bronson Butcher and did not think I could love him more I thought wrong.

With that being said, a possessive, “in love Bronson Butcher is absol-f***ing-utely undeniable.

I have come to thoroughly enjoy Nicci Harris writing and found myself thinking about this series even when I wasn’t reading it.

My only complaint is how the baby not being biologically Bronson’s really irked me. I’m not one who normally even cares for the HEA baby mumbo jumbo but it hurt my heart that the baby wasn’t “a little bit of him and a little bit of her which is what he deserved after everything. I did however really enjoy every other aspect of the book in this series and am looking forward to the next!!

Although I'm an author, I'm not sure that I have the right words to describe just how amazing this book is or how much I love Bronson (I licked him, first ladies). He is everything, and I do mean everything, and his love for Shoshanna is so beautifully obsessive it will undoubtedly make you a little damp shall we say. I would also check your birth control before reading this one because, as with Max's story, you are likely to get pregnant just reading this. You will need to have read the duet first, and I highly recommend that you do; no one wants to miss out on Max. However, Bronson is by far my favourite in all his broken, dominant, intensely loyal and loving glory. Grab yourself some tissues for this one, you will need them. Prepare to laugh, cry, scream and throw your kindle as this fabulous author pulls you through the wringer.
