I don’t normally stare at men’s butts. Especially not random guys in my local coffee shop. I mean, I’m a single working mom, completely devoted to my four-year-old daughter. This so isn’t me. It’s just that his backside is phenomenal.
Turns out his name is Tanner and he’s been watching me right back. Not at the coffee shop, but from his construction site across the street from my apartment.
After a couple of flirty encounters, our mutual attraction leads to a no strings attached bargain based purely on convenience and pleasure. This arrangement is totally uncharacteristic for me, but it’s also perfect.
Or so I tell myself. Before long, we’re spending time with each other that has nothing to do with our agreement and things between us start to feel all too real.
When my swoony, completely unreliable, rock star ex comes back into town begging for a chance to reunite our family, things get complicated.
Suddenly, Tanner is jealous and I’m trying to figure out where I stand and what I want, torn between what makes me happy and what’s best for my daughter.

I was looking forward to read something else from this author after being pleasantly surprised with , but sadly, this just didn't pan out or live up up to my expectations. There was too much inner dialogue and not enough happening to hook me into investing in the rest of the book. I might try her again sometime, but I'm moving on for now.
This author just keeps bringing it with her rock romance books. Kayla may be a single mom to a four year old daughter but she’s not dead especially when getting a good look at Tanner’s butt. Don’t be fooled because Tanner has had eyes on Kayla as well since he is working at a construction site across from where Kayla lives. With mutual understanding they take on that “no strings attached relationship both scratching an itch they need.
This is all great until Kayla’s ex and very self-centered rock star ex comes back into the picture. Who will win out on this sweet steamy romance? I definitely recommend this book!
A meet-cute goes from sweet and embarrassingly charming to sexy and steamy after single mom Kayla gets outted when sneaking a photo of Tanner’s “buns of steel while in line at her local coffee shop. These two might just be perfect for each other, that is if Tanner wasn’t taking care of his pregnant sister and twin nephews while her husband is in Afghanistan, working full time as a construction site manager, and putting the wheels in motion to start his own business. Things are almost as hectic for Kayla, who is trying to prove herself after a recent promotion has her leading a team of graphic designers, raising her daughter alone, and trying to keep her rock star ex from wreaking havoc on their lives whenever he deigns to blow into town.
A relationship between Kayla and Tanner is out of the question, but no strings attached sex? Now that’s another story. As long as no one catches feelings, what could possibly go wrong?
NO STRINGS ATTACHED is another five-star read from Lara Ward Cosio, with a smart and sassy heroine, a swoony, sexy hero, a few cuter than cute kids, and a cast of side characters who will help guide Kayla and Tanner toward their happily ever after.
A single independent mom with a touch of vulnerability and a swoony alpha guy with a big heart and a sigh worthy butt take on their attraction in No Strings Attached for the perfect mix of sweet and steamy. Kayla and Tanner had lives overflowing with responsibilities yet their unavoidable attraction was one that could not be ignored leading them into a "no strings" fling. Before long this pair was in over their heads when the simple became complicated as they became more entwined in each other's lives and realized that their connection was so much more than physical.
Kayla and Tanner's relationship was far from perfect but it was relatable and ultimately showed they were the perfect fit for each other. The chemistry between this pair was blush inducing even in the simplest interactions taking their attraction to the next level hot. This author did a beautiful job of developing a genuine friendship between this couple without making it feel like they were in the friend zone and compromising the romance.
There were so many great secondary characters in this work it was impossible not to be pulled into this story. Kayla's daughter was charming and age appropriate notably enhancing the dynamic between Kayla and Tanner. Not to be overlooked, this author, who has a large rock star fan base from her Rogue series, gave a small shout out to her rock star fans when she portrayed Kayla's ex Rad as a rocker. A great job was done in using Rad as a catalyst to Kayla and Tanner's relationship. This author was able to show what a jerk Rad was while still somewhat redeeming him and not turning him into a villain or having his character dominate the story.
One of the things that Lara Ward-Cosio always brings to her writing is how introspective she is even while remaining in the present. She always has such clarity in what she conveys to her readers about her portrayals even when her characters are struggling and unclear themselves. Her portrayals are richly devised and she manages to balance light hearted and intense feelings adeptly. As if there are not enough reasons to fall in love with Lara Ward-Cosio's writing along comes No Strings Attached adding yet another one, a read you definitely do not want to miss!

Kayla is a loving single mom to her toddler daughter Emerson. She lives in an apartment in Denver and was looking out her kitchen window to check out the construction of a new building across the street. On her way to work she always stops at a coffee shop to get her morning cup of coffee. One morning she is in line behind a man wearing jeans and a t-shirt and notices what a fine backside he has. When she tells her friend on the phone the next day about him, her friend dares her to take a picture and send it to her. So the next day, he's there, and she does. Only she gets caught.
Tanner, the manager at the construction site recognized her as the beautiful redhead from the window across from the worksite. He is excited to finally meet her and is happy to find out she is single. He proposes a no strings attached situation since they both are avoiding relationships because of how busy they both are.
What starts out as fun gets complicated when Emerson's father comes from Stockholm to ask Kayla and Emerson to move across seas to be with him. Kayla doesn't know what to think. She wants what is best for her daughter but she also needs to do what is best for her.
Great story. Love all the family members and situations with the friends too. Enjoy
Tanner and Kayla we such a fun couple. Their instant chemistry and playful banter was lighthearted and an absolute pleasure to read. They were made for each other and their lives just kind of fell together.
This story had me laughing out loud in one moment and giving a sappy romantic sigh the next. I can even admit to having a tear or two shed at one point. Boy, when a man lays it all on the line, that really gets me right in the heart!
They had what I thought was the absolute best Meet Cute that lasted for a few meetings. Each character had their life path set and so having No Strings Attached to scratch those private itches seemed like such a good idea. I actually loved that they took that route. It took the edge off from their slow-burning romance.
They really were meant for each other but they were each their own worst enemy when it came to getting their s**t together. You gotta love sisters and best friends who tell it like it is. Still, these two just couldn't seem to catch a break and neither one graduated head of the class in communication. But they certainly excelled in the class of DENIAL!
No Strings Attached it definitely worth the read to brighten your day and add another top-notch BBF to your bedpost.
I loved this adorable story, from the hilarious way Tanner first became "noticed" by Kayla, to the sweet and sexy way this love story progressed. I usually shy away from slow-burn romance, but in Ms Cosio's capable hands you want to see where she is leading us. This couple has everyday issues that are very relatable and their ultimate HEA is so very swoon-worthy. I can't recommend this book enough, nothing over the top, just a great book that reminds us of why we read romance.
No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Casio is a refreshing new spin on Rockstar Romance. Kayla is a single mom to 4-year-old Emmy, whose dad is a commitment-phobic player, and a Rockstar who lives in Europe. Kayla loves to watch the hot construction crew across the street from her apartment window. Unbeknownst, to her, she is likewise being watched by a construction boss who notices her watching the worksite. A chance encounter in a coffee shop between the hot construction boss and Kayla who notices his outstanding behind and is challenged by her best friend to take a photo “dat butt and send it to her is what begins a series of events that bring two overcommitted workaholics together. Can what begins as a “no strings attached relationship become more? Can real commitments be made? Who will end up hurt if feelings creep into the friends with benefits relationship? Many scenes generated heat so hot, I am surprised my kindle didn’t spontaneously combust into flames. No cheating and ends in a HEA. Lara Casio’s talent of being among the best Rockstar romance writer is evidenced in this book of an unlikely love triangle. This is an outstanding must-read!
No Strings Attached starts off with Kayla, a single mom of adorable Emmy, who has a chance meet (including a scrumptious view of his backside) with construction boss Tanner, at the local coffee shop. They start with a casual "no strings" relationship, experience a few bumps and challenges thrown in along the way and eventually reach their HEA. The characters and their journey are well crafted and convincing. I love Lara's latest book and recommend it.
No Strings was such a sweet, yet spicy, slow burn of a story. Totally gave me a few of those hand-to-heart "Awwh" moments. Tanner is the perfect blend of rugged but gentle, commanding but caring, and you just melt when he's interacting with the kids. Its not easy being a single mom with a deadbeat dad and toeing the line between letting her daughter know her dad but protecting her from a life of utter disappointment.
Then, in walks this perfect distraction with mutual benefits, and you can't help but fall for the good guy even if he is buried in obligations. He's honest about it and you love him for it... But that's the problem when you start with no strings attached ... Sometimes those strings may just be the thing that holds you together.
I absolutely loved this book - what a great story of a casual relationship growing to something more.
The last thing either Tanner or Kayla was looking for, was a relationship - but when they met, they couldn't help but notice the sparks! They did become friends, first, sort of; but something deeper developed - you just can't help when and who you fall in love with.
The storyline, and all the surrounding characters were such a great addition. I think I'd, maybe like a follow up novella, with a continuation from the epilogue; then a glimpse 20 years down the road, PLEASE.
I really like Tanner, Kayla, and Emerson! They have steamy chemistry that had me hoping one of them would eventually get out of their head and quit being stubborn and finally be truthful with the other. Loved all the characters and the cute way Tanner and Kayla meet.
This was a good book right from the start, I do enjoy my romances and I certainly do enjoy my steamy stories that defiantly like to bring on the heat like a nicely heated oven. This amazing book certainly did that and then some! It was a book that truly sucked me in, and I could sit back and enjoy my coffee in my peace, and wonder what would happen next with all the characters! And that is exactly what I did!
The characters were so relatable in different ways. Kayla was a awesome character. She was a single mom, but that does not mean she does not have certain things she needs or wants fulfilled. Things a good cup of coffee just can not withhold to do! Throw in Tanner. Sexy, sweet, and a hard worker and has the right thing to squeeze in certain places. (Yes I id enjoy the visual of his perfectly described buns he has in various moments through out reading) The attraction between them is mutual for sure. They both have things going on and both in different ways, and they both know they need to prioritize their ends and their goals they are out doing...but perhaps a good amount of fun and pleasure was in the cards? I mean it is not like feelings or any other drama will come in the way of fun casual sex right?
That is when drama of course happens. Things are good for Tanner and Kayla. Maybe just too good. With every growing touch, or thrust I dare say, maybe just maybe one or both of them is realizing there is more to what makes the sex so good than just sex. Maybe they can not live without the other? Maybe that emptiness in their hearts they felt they need not worry about could finally be filled even if they always felt it was never needed? Sometimes the things you never knew you wanted truly are the things you absolutely needed,...but with good causal sex can cause drama other than catching something that will make your heart flutter...Kayla's ex returns. I first off thought he was a crappy dad to her daughter. And a horrible person. I wanted him gone. Will be come in the way of Tanner and Kayla's happiness. Or will the casual friends with benefits grow to be something only the great musicians write about?
The author did a amazing job at this book! The character development was amazing, and I was hooked from the drama to the steamy lustful filled moments, to rooting for a happily ever after by the end! i loved all the feels I had going for me as I read through. It was a well written story and everything molded together perfectly. I defiantly can not wait to read more by this author in the future1 Their ability to craft a great story as they did here, for sure makes them a worth while author to read!
QOTD: Do you drink coffee? My A: No! I used to drink iced mochas all the time but I was getting intense migraines. Eventually I started cutting things out and caffeine was the winner. I’m still sad about it every day and I’d sneak a sip of my guy’s coffee but he drinks Death Wish Coffee (which is the world's strongest coffee), so these days I can only handle about half a bottle of pop! . Earlier in the month I put up a review absolutely raving about Lara Ward Cosio’s book Hulu Girl and she reached out and gifted me a copy of her newest book, No Strings Attached. PEOPLE. I think I found a new favorite author and I’m not just saying that because I know she’s reading this. I was privately messaging her play by plays and ordered a copy for the personal library before I even got halfway through the book because I loved it that much. I wouldn’t say I’m the pickiest reader out there, but it takes a lot for me to give books five full stars. Lara Ward Cosio finds the perfect pace for her stories that keep you totally engrossed without the plot feeling rushed or too slow. Her characters have spines, spice and stories you actually want to read. The drama stays out of the immature and overly angsty catergorgery and her characters' relationships stay snuggly in the realistic and realtatable group. And the chemistry!!! Lara knows how to write a steamy scene, that’s for sure! The kitchen scene... whew! IYKYK! . If you can’t tell by now, I really loved this book and I can’t recommend it enough. . From The Blurb: I don’t normally stare at men’s butts. Especially not random guys in my local coffee shop. I mean, I’m a single working mom, completely devoted to my four-year-old daughter. This is a story about Kayla and Tanner two people who have convinced themselves they have no time for relationships. When Kayla was twenty-two she and her girlfriend Nicole went to a concert. The lead singer, Rad, wanted to meet Kayla. Asking her while he was still on stage. That meet and greet turned into a four-month relationship. It ended two days before he was to leave, on a paying tour in Europe. Because the band just couldn’t take off here in the U.S.
It's after he leaves that she finds out she’s pregnant. She decides a father at least needs to know. When she calls he says, “That’s really great for you Kay Kay. That tells her everything she needs to know. Primarily, she is on her own. At first, it was just her, Nicole(best friend), and the Baby. Nicole was a lifesaver to her. Then, two years ago she moved on the begin her life with her new sexy husband. She talks to Nicole daily in the early mornings before Emerson wakes up. And even before, Kayla needs to get them ready for school and work.
She has dropped off Emmerson at preschool, her daily routine. She walks on over to the coffee place, Mean Beanz. She’s in line beyond ready to taste her black-only coffee. She has two people ahead of her when she hears this complicated order. As if that wasn’t problematic by itself. No, she makes him repeat the order to her. Grr! It's the noise she makes that has the guy in front of her looking back. She is so embarrassed because he caught her looking at his Bunz-of-Steel. The next day, she gets caught taking a picture of his bum to send to Nicole. She never wanted to, but she did a pinky-promise. So, she had to, that was the rule.
Communication is important in any relationship, even friends with benefits. Maybe more so. If you allow someone near the intimate parts of your body why not your thoughts? You have to establish something these two had, yet were scared if they gave into it they would be tied to that no matter what, and what if it went bad? Yeah but what if it went right? They had hurdles to climb when it came to how to have a friend with benefits, yet neither could get the other out of their minds. It felt like being addicted to a strong powerful drug.
The characters were enjoyable and had depth. It deals with the fact that Tanner is insecure about Rad popping back into Kayla’s life. Which shouldn’t have mattered, if it was a friend-with-benefits situation. See how the conflict results in great sex, hurtful words, trust issues, and so much more. I liked Nicole and Tanner’s sister Tatum.
𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐚 (h) is a single-mother to a four year old Emerson, but because she’s always caring for her daughter she never has time for herself. When she meets 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 (H) at Mean Beanz, the two admit that they’ve been secretly watching each other from afar. While he doesn’t want a relationship nor is ready for dating, Kayla agrees for a no-strings attached relationship between them. However, it suddenly becomes too little and she wants more from him and he’s still reluctant to agree. It’s a push and pull from Tanner and Kayla feeling frustrated because he gives her mixed signals.

If you like instant romance then this is for you, because it was it was NOT for me. I hated that they were automatically attracted to each other and admitted it because I didn’t feel any connection between the two besides attraction. I feel like they were just using each other for sex and they were not in love. I’m quite confused as to how Tanner realizes he was in love with Kayla was it the part where he was judging her skills as a mother or maybe it was when he was accusing her of having feelings for Rad. He sent so many mixed signals and he kept insisting that he wanted nothing more that it was frustrating ME. It was also odd that they knew each other about a day and had sex once and Kayla already wanted more but they had agreed that it was no strings. They should have left this relationship as a fling and called it a day. Sometimes it’s okay for characters to have meaningless sex and move on with their day. They made it something bigger than it had to be because I don’t believe they were actually in love.

I was not rooting for them and I was waiting Kayla to ghost him and move on with her day. That didn’t happen so I was very disappointed 🤨 a shame.

"Someone will always want more, and someone will always get hurt."
Kayla is a bit wary of men after her ex-boyfriend / fling decided his "journey" was to go to Europe to play with his band, leaving her to pursue her "journey" as a mother to their child on her own. She hadn't been with a man in the five years since, instead putting all of her effort into her stable corporate job and being a mom to her daughter, Emerson.
Tanner had no time for anything but his construction job and looked after his sister and two nephews while his brother in law was overseas on a tour with the Marines. He certainly didn't have time for relationships, though he wasn't against the occasional hookup. That's why when he has an unusual meeting with the beautiful red head at a local cafe, he can't help but flirt with her. After a couple of run-ins, it's clear there's an attraction between him and Kayla, but he makes it even more clear that he doesn't have time to date, which bursts her bubble a bit.
Convinced by her friend Nicole, Kayla decides to take what she can get from him for her own pleasure. She is a young woman, after all, and she's been touch starved for years. She and Tanner decide on a no-strings attached deal, just pleasure, no commitment.
Can these two really pull that off, though? Especially when there seems to be such a connection between them? What about when Kayla's ex comes back into her life and wants her and Emmy to move to Europe with him?
This is a romance novel with a decent amount of spice, not much communication between the two main characters, a sweet little girl (and her two new friends!), and risking your heart.
Two hunks vying for your attention...what a problem to have! Kayla had a seriously hot romance with Rad. It fizzled so that he could continue his journey as a rock star in Europe. Kayla was hurt but survived because the relationship gave her a daughter. Kayla has dedicated her life to her daughter for the last five years. Kayla’s best friend is encouraging Kayla to go out and have a life. Just as Kayla starts to do that, Rad shows back up.
Tanner is crazy busy right now. He is leading a crew on a new building. He is helping his pregnant sister care for her twin boys while her husband is deployed. He is trying to start his own contracting firm so that his brother-in-law comes home to job. He has no time for a relationship or dating despite what his sister thinks. When Tanner catches the woman from the apartment across from the construction site checking him out in the coffee store, he accidentally uses her name to get out of another set up by his sister. Except, now his sister wants to meet her. Will Kayla agree to this scheme? Is it more than it appears?
The chemistry between Kayla and Tanner left scorch marks on my phone! I was hooked from the beginning. There were great moments and then moments I just wanted to smack Rad. Rad’s only redeeming quality is that he figured out how important his daughter is. Great read!
This book is so well written and so easy to fall into. I simply couldn’t put it down. Author Lara Ward Cosio really knows how to turn out an amazing tale. So many emotions go through you as you read this story. I really related with Kayla and the issues she faced. I laughed out loud so much that this tale includes that added bonus of enjoyment and entertainment that is very healing for the soul. I love a book with a strong female lead who proves although men are important in our lives we do not need them to survive and enjoy life. Kayla has it all, a career where she is excelling, a beautiful albeit small apartment, a lovely daughter and great friends. Her daughter’s father is more absent than not from both of their lives and Kayla is ok with that. She has dedicated her life to making her daughter’s life stable and good. However, an attractive attentive man who has it all, except a woman to share it with, shows up in Kayla’s life and the attraction is instant. Tanner is handsome, dedicated to his work and sister and a family oriented man. He doesn’t have kids of his own but he dotes on his nephews. The vibes and funny antidotes that the author so descriptively uses will make you want more. Even at the end with the HEA I found myself wishing there was more to the story. A charming read that leaves the reader feeling good, No Strings Attached, will leave you wishing for more story even just a side story that includes life for these two people after the HEA.
A sweet and steamy romance with a strong female main character and a smoking hot male interest.
Tessa is a single mom doing it completely alone. She works hard and spends all of her time with her daughter Emerson. Tanner is a single man who is always working and helping his sister while her husband is deployed. When the two meet they cannot deny their instant attraction to one another, but neither of them have the time to start a relationship. Despite their busy lives they decide to start a no strings attached relationship. However, one person usually ends up having more feelings than the other. Add a rockstar of an ex who walks back into Tessa's life and things quickly get messy. Now Tessa is torn on what to do and has some big decisions to make for her and her daughter.
I absolutely loved Tessa. As a recently turned single mom myself it was amazing to follow along with Tessa while she made time to do something just for herself for the first time since having her daughter. It's honestly why I first picked up this book because I could relate to Tessa. What I didn't realize was that it would give me hope and remind me that it's okay to just do things for yourself once in a while as a woman not as a mom.
Kayla fell in love with Rad, a rock star, which left her a single mother to her 4-year-old daughter Emmerson. Rad left to follow the “journey of his life but pops up with no warning. Kayla has made do with a job she doesn’t love, but she has given up being frivolous to be the mother her daughter deserves. Tanner is a construction worker who is working across from Kayla’s apartments. He is surprised one morning when turning around in the coffee shop is the beautiful woman he has seen watching his construction site from her window. Even more amused, he catches her staring at his behind. Kayla and Tanner both have their plates overflowing even though they both feel the pull to the other. They agree to a no string attached relationship, but can they stick to it? As they get to know each other, and support each other as friends, will their feelings become too much to ignore anymore? This was great story. I had a hard time liking Rad at first, he is pushy and only looking out for himself but finally being able to relate to his daughter made me like him a bit more. I like how relatable Lara Ward Cosio’s characters are. These are settings and circumstances that I have been in or have seen with my friends.
Kayla and Tanner have undeniable chemistry. Their meet-cute in the coffee shop was funny and adorable at the same time. And what luck that the construction worker she was watching from her apartment every morning just so happened to be watching her too! I love that this story revolves around a single mother, a military wife/mother with a deployed husband, and everything that those two things entail. Kayla is working a job that she isn’t sure she loves; Tanner is working as a manager on the site rather than working with his own hands and getting a business ready for his brother-in-law when he comes home from Afghanistan, and Rad is still on his own personal “journey. It made it extremely relatable and incredibly easy to read. Add in the intense steamy scenes and the budding romance between Kayla and Tanner and this book was amazing from start to finish. I love the relationship that was made between Kayla and Tanner’s sister and between the kids, but the ultimate heart-melting moment for me was between Kayla’s daughter and Tanner. This story was wonderful, and I am looking forward to reading more from Lara Ward Cosio. I suggest you do the same!
Lara Ward Cosio created a really well-written romance that is sweet, loving, realistic, but also very steamy, at times. This story is about a woman raising her daughter alone after her ex boyfriend, a rock star, abandons them. It has been many years since Kayla has been with a man or even interested. However, in her daily routine of getting coffee meets a man she nicknames “Buns-of-Steel-guy. Her obsession with his ass gets her caught, and that same man becomes intrigued with this stranger. Both are extremely busy with life, want more, but for the time being, settled into a “friends with benefits routine. However, as many know, when you start to catch feelings, that same casualness is hard to maintain. Their journey takes you on a very realistic, romantic love story. I really enjoyed the interaction between the 2 characters and how easily they were able to just pick up on each other’s ways/needs/interactions. It was also really great to read a 1 and done book since it seems all stories today are in multiples.
Single mother Kayla is caught up trying to decide between her happiness and what's right for her daughter. Her unreliable ex is in town and begging to reunite, but she's got her eye on Mr. Buns-of-steel, Tanner, from the coffee shop. Should she give her rock star ex another chance and be a family unit or see where things go with Tanner? Tanner has a plate full himself with several things going on and doesn't have time for relationships. His sister has been hassling him about dating and his chance encounter with Kayla presents the perfect opportunity to get her off his back. A no strings attached arrangement should be a cinch right?
This book had me laughing almost immediately. When she is caught ogling his butt while standing in line and plays it off was laugh worthy. I got second hand embarrassment when he caught her sending a picture of his butt to her friend. If you like reading books that have relationships grow slowly and organically, have some sizzle, and have great characters I highly recommend this book.
I enjoyed this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her ability to pull me into her stories from the beginning. This book is no different. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story realistic as well as kept it engaging. I had a hard time putting this book down. The characters made the story fun and entertaining to read. They also brought the steam to a new level. I enjoyed this growth and chemistry. They are connectable, strong and just made the story for us. After a few steamy nights and an agreement just to keep things no strings attached. Will things change for these two characters and they get more than the no strings attached? I really enjoyed the growth of the plot throughout the story. A great story that I highly recommend.
No Strings Attached is a melt your glasses steamy romance by Lara Ward Cosio. To say this book was a jolt to the sensual senses was a gross understatement. This story left me in a puddle of lust, wonder and fulfilment. It was everything my romantic little heart could ever desire. From the intense build up of emotions between the main characters, to the happy ending, No Strings Attached dotted every I and crossed every T. Slow burning lust, what started out as casual soon became something much more complex. Add in an ex and let the fireworks commence. I could not have been more blissfully happy with a story than this one.
Drama. Check. Sizzling attraction. Check. Wit and humour. Check. A romance with everything. Check, check and more check! Lara Ward Cosio, you have outdone yourself. An impossible to put down drama that was perfectly executed and will leave an unforgettable and momentous impression. 5 stars.
No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio is a standalone romance. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it!!
Kayla is just trying to do what she needs to do for herself and her daughter. Being a single mom is not all it’s cracked up to be. When she meets Tanner, they definitely have chemistry so they agree on a no strings attached arrangement. Of course nothing ever stays as casual as it’s intended and Kayla and Tanner start spending time together just because. Just as things might develop between them, Kayla’s ex comes back to complicate matters a bit. Does Kayla choose stable Tanner or unreliable Radisson for the sake of her daughter?
I really enjoyed this book! Kayla is such a relatable character as a strong single mom taking care of her daughter. The chemistry between Kayla and Tanner is off the charts and makes for such a good read! This book is the right combination of sweet, spicy and emotional!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Just LOVED this book!! The story of Kayla and Tanner. This book had moments of me laughing to smiling from ear to ear to my pulse racing!! Kayla is a single mom with a 4 year old little girl. She is so focused on raising Emerson while having a career of her own. A encounter at the local coffee shop, she meets Tanner. All Tanner can offer Kayla at this point is a little fun with no strings attached. Tanner has his own career while he is helping out his sister with his twin nephews while his brother in law is deployed. Things get a bit complex with Tanner and Kayla as they have this back and forth of no strings attached fun but then feelings come into play. Tie in more complexity when Kayla's ex and Emerson's father comes back trying to get a second chance with Kayla and raising Emerson.
I just loved this story. Sweet moments mixed with some hot moments and a sprinkle of complex feelings all wrapped into a great book!! Loved Tanner and Kayla's story!!
