Lacey Alexander

Lacey Alexander's books have been called deliciously decadent, unbelievably erotic, exceptionally arousing, blazingly sexual, and downright sinful. In each book, Lacey strives to take her readers on the ultimate erotic adventure and hopes her books will encourage women to embrace their sexual fantasies.

Lacey resides in the Midwest with her husband, and when not penning romantic erotica, she enjoys history and traveling, often incorporating favorite travel destinations into her work.

Lacey's romantic erotica combines hardcore erotica and romance. The sex scenes are very graphic, detailed, and plentiful, including graphic language and extreme sexual situations, but entwined is a romantic, loving relationship that will reach a level of monogamous commitment by the end of the book. Perfect for the reader who enjoys extremely hot, graphic sex and fantasy-type situations, but who also finds satisfaction in traditional romance and wants to see characters fall in love.

Awesome! Laura's alone at a picturesque vacation home in the Colorado mountains, trying to overcome a case of writer's block on the mystery series she writes. She gets an inch her first night there, grabs some wine & has a nice masturbation session by the fire. She's thrilled by the possibility of the homeowner watching her via his webcam angled at the sofa. But he wasn't REALLY watching...was he? Oops! :) Suddenly "Flyboy1", the handsome, adventurous corporate raider is making nightly voyeur dates via instant messenger & Laura can't resist showing up! But soon, Laura needs Braden in the flesh to continue the romance, and he's happy to oblige. Once Branden joins her in Colorado, Laura becomes a total sub, wanting nothing more than to please her host.

They christen the sh*t out of that house. The shower, porch, floor, window ledge, tub...Braden takes Laura to her sexual limits, and she keeps telling herself it's just temporary. And that they'll go their separate ways once her writer's retreat is over. She won't/can't fall for him. So much for that! Loved, loved, loved this book! Definitely a keeper. I have loaned this book to the same person multiple times within the past few months. Now I see why - it's that fantastic!

I loved this book. I don't usually read contemporary erotic and usually stick with historical but I must say that this book has changed my mind about contemporary.
This book was so blazing hot that I literally could only read a few chapters at a time before my blood pressure got too high. LOL
The good thing though is 1. it was sizzling but had a great story-line that pulled the reader in and 2. even though it had sexual elements that I don't usually like to read about, it didn't have the "ick" factor.
Well worth the read but be warned, it is very explicit.

My dear friends who recommended this book, you were right! I like this much more than Seven Nights for a few reasons. I like that the book began with a woman pleasuring herself. How great is that? There are times in life when your right hand (or your left or your toys) have to be your best friend. I liked the H/H in this book. I never really liked the guy in Seven Nights--ooh but I loved the places they went. Their escapades were fun and adventurous.
In Voyeur I really liked that the woman had a job that the H/H both took seriously. This book did not give me a major heart throb or a steamy STEAMY steam but it was pretty hot. I think she is a good writer and she will get better with deeper character development. It was a fun read.

One day I was just looking through some of my older titles that I own that I still haven’t read yet and VOYEUR stood out to me. I’m a big fan of Toni Blake’s work and I knew Lacey Alexander is a pen name for Toni’s more spicier work. I can’t believe I only read one other book of Alexander’s so I figured why not, since I have the book already I might as well read it. The blurb was just so enticing that I stated reading on the spot!

VOYEUR is about a Mystery novelist named Laura Watkins. Laura is experiencing writer’s block but she had a deadline coming up so she needs to get her butt in gear and create an engaging story. In an effort to do that, she uses her friend’s isolated Colorado home. The privacy is just what she needs to get focused on her work, but it also stirs up some fantasies. When Laura sees a webcam’s light flashing, she pretends that someone is watching her. The idea arouses her and kickstarts a series of fantasies that sets her soaring. I have to say, this book heats up pretty quickly, especially when the owner of the house, Nick tells her that he saw her little show last night.

The banter between these two is amazing. Alexander keeps things realistic and safe while also pushing the boundaries of the characters. I think while there were times that Laura’s hesitancy kind of lower the heat down to a simmer sometimes, I do think that it was necessary otherwise she would come across as a little crazy. So I appreciate the author putting that in there.

I think it’s so interesting that for the first half of the book the hero and heroine haven’t met in real life and yet the author can convey the chemistry so beautifully across the page. I think that can be a feat to overcome but Alexander seems to do it with ease. So if you are looking for something a little more different than your typical Erotic Romance, than this is an excellent one to try out. I don’t think I’ve come across another book like it.

Ugh, like a desperate housewife feigning a headache, I was so not in the mood for this type of book, however, I am running desperately low on PBS credits and knew this title would be gobbled up the second I posted it so I had to persevere (the OCD in me demands that I at least attempt to read a book I own before letting it go). So read it I did, or rather skimmed it would be more accurate.

It's simply a smutty book for the sake of being smutty. No real depth in detail or storyline or characters or really anything other than scenes. that was an actual line taken from the book, btw... page 125 if anyone is interested) *rolls eyes*

Basic plot, if anyone wants the Plot-In-A-Minute version instead of actually having to read it: (Note: I use the term plot loosely...)

I would like to mention that a couple of times I actually chuckled at the writing. Here's a few of those moments:

In one particular scene, Snowflake (even I couldn't be bothered to remember her name) is having dinner with her buddies and one of them brings out some brownies. The following line ensues--

And again...

Um...I don't think I'm eating the right kind of brownies!

Then later after the scene, Laura is starting to have some reservations about what transpired only to have her main f*ck buddy spout off how what they did could have actually helped the other party involved. Then a light-bulb goes off in Laura's feeble-minded brain and the following thought produces in her head.--

At that point, after I gave a little chortle, I was ready for Laura's main f*ck buddy to pull out a knife and murder her. She was wretched and deserved to die. But sadly, this was the wrong genre for that to happen. C'est la vie.

3.5 for the story and 5 for the sex Scorcher scorcher I needed sunglasses with this one ;)

The story basis is a good one and generally believable, but there’s too much filler with the heroine (an author with writer’s block) and the story she’s writing that can easily be skipped and not take anything away from the main story especially since it didn’t add anything to the story except at the end but that could’ve been written differently with less detail that tries the reader’s patience. I didn’t always like the h/h either. He was a bit too “hot and into himself and she was a bit too much of a “shrinking violent coming into her own. Her insecurities got annoying after a while. Some parts of the book were totally unbelievable also –they were watching people from a secluded house in the mountains having sex in their house that’s also far away and secluded but she can make out the other guy’s “glistening thingy and see his wife mouthing “stuff to him. Queue the eye-rolling 8)

But then there’s the sex, which apart from one very weird totally impossible scene, is hot, hot, sizzle, sizzle, burn, burn and all without the ick factor to boot :D Some nice surprises there ;) Brings new meaning to the terms “exhibitionist and “voyeur. The relationship between the h/h is also well-done.

The cover is misleading because no one is taping anyone doing anything —someone in the art department didn’t read the book but just went by the title or first few pages.

The ending was good, a little unexpected and odd with the amount of time that elapses (can’t say more without giving it away). I guess if you don’t mind filler and you’re looking for a sexy read with a pretty good story overall then this one could work.

Finally!! I have finally finished this book, that took me longer than I have liked. This book absolutely did not lack of sex! You name it: voyeurism, masturbation, ménage a trois (M/F/M) and everything sexual possible between a man & a woman, including a purple vibrator.
But we are "treated" to the story she is writing, which makes Voyeur about 100 pages too long.
If you're looking for a hot and steamy read, than I highly recommend this book. You do not have to keep your head in it, just lay back and read.
2** because the plot has potential.

Before I write anything, this book is HAWT. It should come with a warning for all that smut. It contains voyeurism, exhibition, sex toys, menage, and just some hot loving.

Laura has writer's block and is on a retreat to open her creative juices. But with the help of a webcam, Braden watches her 'pleasure' herself. This part is kinda creepy, I think, but very necessary for the progression of the story. After awhile, their interludes progress to an actual meeting, since Braden comes over to visit her. They explore with many different erotic situations, until somehow magically they fall in love.

I didn't like the story that Laura was writing that seemed to parallel this one, just because it seemed to interrupt the flow. It was too short to be an actual secondary plot, but it was too long to be ignore.

Overall, I really liked it and definitely recommend it. It was definitely a hot read and served its purpose well. Plus, compared to most erotica, it is well edited and organized. The ending was a little to nicely wrapped to be believable, but I guess that type of sap is required to make it a HEA.

This book was smokin' hot! And believe it or not there was a very sweet story between all the hot sex. There was some seriously hot sex too!

Laura and Braden were very sweet together. He was honest and upfront with what he wanted from her, and when it was time to go she was brave and grown-up about it. How refreshing that she didn’t throw herself on his mercy and beg him to love her.

This one goes on the keeper shelf that is for sure.

Voyeur is one seriously hot and steamy read. With it being my first book by Lacey Alexander, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed it. This story was definitely my kind of erotic romance. The characters were relatable, there was actually a plot, and the writing itself was pretty solid. The sex scenes were not only hot but loaded with variety that kept them from weighing down the book or becoming boring. There's also a little story within a story as Laura breaks through her writer's block and things finally get moving with her mystery book. There are excerpts of Laura's new novel peppered throughout, and her main character finds herself in a relationship, which mirrors Laura's relationship with Braden. I have to give the author props for this, because as a writer myself, I know how difficult it can be to focus on developing just one story, so for Lacey Alexander to write two simultaneously, even though Laura's isn't as detailed, is still pretty impressive to me. All in all, Voyeur was a fun, enjoyable read.

Laura is a mystery author suffering from writer's block. Her best friend thinks she needs some sex to get her creativity going, but then again, her friend thinks sex is the answer to everything. Laura doesn't take her too seriously, but she does take her up on an offer to use her cousin's cabin in the Colorado mountains as a writer's retreat. When that alone doesn't seem to be working for her, she decides to indulge in a little self-pleasuring to see if there's anything to her friend's assertion. Even when she realizes there's a webcam in the house, she figures no one is likely watching, but the idea that someone might be only heightens her arousal. This one fateful decision opens the door to a whole world of sexual exploration and experiences she never knew existed. I really loved Laura's “good girl persona. She's always been a sensible girl, who's only had sex in committed relationships, and never thought she would ever do any of the things she finds herself trying in this secluded moutainside cabin. She obviously has a very passionate side that she's really never explored before, and Braden was the perfect man to help her do that. I could totally relate to and understand her temptation to play the part of the exhibitionist but then feel guilty and uncomfortable about it afterward. The more Braden encourages her to do and the further she explores her passion with him, the more comfortable she feels in her own skin, until she finally owns that side of herself fully.

It takes a little while to get a feel for Braden, because at first, he's a mostly anonymous guy behind a computer screen, watching all the naughty things Laura is doing. When he finally shows up in the story in person, I liked him from the start. He's a wealthy playboy who's had his fair share of women, but there's something about Laura that calls to him like a siren song. He loves her air of “innocence, and he loves being a part of her experiencing all these new sides of her sexuality. He's an incredibly generous lover, who wants to draw Laura out of her sensible shell and give her the most incredible pleasure she's ever experienced in her life. I love how seductive and gently persuasive he is. He's confident that she'll love everything he suggests if she can only bring herself to do it, but he always gives her a choice and is never forceful or demanding. Because of his parents' failed marriage and not having many other happy marriages to draw from for example, he's never really been a relationship guy. He's happy in his playboy lifestyle, but with Laura, everything feels a little different. Her hesitation to do what he asks is beguiling to him, and he derives so much pleasure and satisfaction from simply showing her what she's been missing. Despite her lack of experience in some of the things he wants to do with her, she ends up being the best and most memorable lover he's ever had.

In the beginning, both Laura and Braden view their relationship as a temporary affair, but in spite of that, it never felt tawdry or like simple lust gone wild. Their interactions are laced with emotion. Both of them are so generous and caring toward each other, focusing more on giving the other pleasure than on receiving. Laura gradually begins to trust Braden and he never does anything to break that trust. I think that's why their relationship felt so real to me, because IMHO, to reach that level of complete sexual surrender, trust is essential. Of course, by the time her retreat is drawing to a close, Laura's feelings have gotten tangled up in it, making it difficult to say goodbye. Even though he's pretty reticent about it and tries to blow it off, the reader can tell that Braden is starting to struggle a bit too with the idea of Laura leaving. There is a long separation at the end, but neither of them is truly able to move on with someone else, leading to a satisfying and happy ending. I think it can be rather difficult for erotic romance authors to find that perfect balance of hot, steamy sex and a deep emotional connection, but IMO, Lacey Alexander succeeded in spades. Voyeur completely hit that sweet spot for me, and now that I've finally read it, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long and can't wait to try more of this author's work.

Note: This story contains explicit language and sexual content, including voyeurism, exhibitionism, use of a sex toy, intimate shaving, spanking, anal sex, and a M/F/M menage a trois. There is also a brief F/F/M menage, but it only takes place in the hero's fantasies, not in real-life.

I don't write book summary's. You can always just read the back of the book for that. I do however like to share my thoughts on the books I read. So here are some thoughts on Voyeur.

This is my 3rd Alexander Erotica novel and boy she does not disappoint and keeps me coming back for more.

Braden is SUPER HOT! Laura and Braden sizzle. From the minute he hopped into that bed I was looking for my HEA. I couldn't help but love them together. They were so perfect for each other.

Although the concept of a "story" being told within the story was a good idea I just couldn't help myself from skimming quickly to get back to Braden and Laura's romance.

HEA's are always good and my heart strings were pulled upon for sure.

Lots and Lots of sex in this one. I for one didn't feel it was overdone and thought all the scenes were tasteful.

Sexy,fun,fast read.

I loved this book! Aside from one sex scene that wasn't realistic, I was completely into this book. The voyeur aspects of their relationship and the connection to opening up inhibitions was really fun. I was also happy with the pace of events. I hate when a book makes you wait too long. The only thing I really didn't like was the insertion of the book the main character is writing. She strays from her usual mystery book to insert a love affair like the one she's in... I found those parts boring at times and ended up skimming through to get back to the real affair unfolding. Don't miss this classic gem.

When I started this, I expected a fluffy read, but that's not what I got. I really, really liked Braden & Laura. They were genuine and very likeable, plus, they had amazing chemistry. I thought it was great that Braden wanted to release Laura's wild side and I felt her reactions to some of the things he wanted were believable. The sex scenes were incredibly hot and the growing bonds between them a pleasure to read. Even though things happened quickly, nothing felt rushed. It just seemed like a natural progression to me. I really enjoyed this and look forward to reading more of her work.

Laura Watkins is an author with a problem. She has writer’s block and not even being cooped up in a Colorado cabin doesn’t help. If her friend Monica is right, the writer’s block has everything to do with sexual frustration. And one night Laura is rather inclined to heed her friend’s advice. And proceeds with masturbating in the cabin’s living room…And gives her host, in a habit of checking in on his guests via webcam quite an eyeful.

The next day Laura experiences a shock in learning the owner of her cabin witnessed her pleasuring herself…And wouldn’t mind witnessing more of that. But when a little gift from California pushed her a little too far, Laura severs all ties with her mysterious voyeur.

Well, she’s about to learn Braden Stone isn’t deterred to easily. If it’s physical closeness she needs, physical closeness she’ll get, even if he has to travel across three states to get to her.

Well, this was a very hot little novel. A little too hot, maybe. It sure started great with a little peep show growing into a bigger peep show…And slowly tumbling all Laura’s inner, conservative walls with Braden’s presence…But it soon got a little too much. Soon the plot, the story, its progress didn’t seem to matter anymore (with the exception of Laura’s “character development) and it quickly was all about sex. Yeah, the sex scenes were hot (even the dreaded ménage one I don’t like sharing in my novels, and I appreciate Tommy’s little insight into Braden when he asked if he was okay with sharing Laura like that), but there were too many of them, crammed a little too close together, pushing the story way into the background.

I just don’t get it. I’m all for sex scenes, but not at the cost of a story. Because that, what could be discerned between the humping and grinding, was quite touching and rather romantic.

P.S. And what was with Laura’s book? I know she’s a writer, but did we have to read what she wrote verbatim? A little blurb here and there would’ve sufficed.

This is the second book I've read by Lacey Alexander and I have to say her themes are rather repetitious. The sweet innocent heroine who has help from the hero to shed all inhibition. After just reading "Seven Nights of Passion", "Voyeur" was a little redundant for me.

However, it was still a good book and fairly well written. It could of used more story and less sex. I know it's erotica romance but there was a TON of sex. I almost got sick of it....almost ;-) It has a really hot m/f/m scene.

What I find really comical about Alexander's books is the romance. She tries to add romance into the mix but comes up short. This is how the ending usually goes down in her books:

Heroine: I love you
Hero: I love you too.
Heroine: F*&k me, F*&k me hard
Hero:I can't wait to F*&k your sweet C*@t
The End

Okay, it's not that bad but pretty close. She could use a little help with the "sweep me off my feet" part of the romance.

This book is erotica, so stop reading if that's not your thing.

This was an excellent erotica book. It's written like a good romance novel (not too cheesy), but with a bunch of great sex scenes. The character development was so good, I actually teared up at the ending - very rare for reading this genre. As the title suggests, the plot starts out as voyeurism/exhibitionism, then excalates through a whole lot of various sexual acts up to and including m-f-m menage. Despite the extremely sexual nature of the story, the primary m-f relationship builds beautifully throughout the book. Definately worth reading.

This books surprised me. I have never read anything by this author before. But, I can't wait to read her other books.

Voyeur is not just about watching others have sex, but about a woman coming into her own sexually and the man who helps her get there. It's hot, romantic, and has just the right amount of kink.

I suggest reading the book next to a very cold glass of water, you're going to need it.

The erotic scenes did not have enough emotional pull for me. Also, the cover picture does not match the story.

STORY BRIEF:
Laura is a mystery writer with writer’s block. Her friend Monica has a relative Braden who owns a vacation home in Vail, Colorado. Because Laura is short on funds, Monica offers the Vail home to her at no charge. Laura goes there for a couple of weeks to have some seclusion to work on her novel. Braden lives in California. He has a webcam attached to the computer screen in Vail, so he can periodically check on his home. The webcam is always on. While in Vail, Laura pleasures herself on the sofa and Braden accidentally sees it via the webcam. Through instant messaging on the computer, he asks her to repeat the activity the next evening. This begins their relationship, and he ends up coming to Vail to be with her for a while.

While in Vail, Laura no longer has writer’s block and begins writing her novel about Riley and Sloan. Riley wants to be a private detective, and Sloan already is one. Together they are investigating suspicious activities surrounding Sloan’s aunt. Throughout the book the author switches back and forth between the Laura and Riley stories.

REVIEWER’S OPINION WITH SOME SPOILERS:
The main reason to read this book is for lengthy erotic sex scenes (more than a third of the book). They weren’t that interesting to me because there wasn’t enough emotional pull within them. However I did like one event. This was when Tommy came over to join Laura and Braden. All three knew they would be having a ménage a trois for the first time. I was curious with anticipation during the dinner and leading up to the event. The characters interaction was well done. For the rest of the story, I wasn’t drawn enough to the characters of Laura and Braden, but Tommy made things more interesting. He was a playboy who fell in love once and didn’t know it. He cheated on her, and she broke up with him. Only then did he realize he loved her, and it was too late. He didn’t date anyone for a long while until his session with Laura and Braden.

I didn’t care for the sub-plot about Riley and Sloan. It was an uninteresting filler that made the book longer. There was no character development at all, so I couldn’t feel anything for them. The story consisted of Riley and Sloan solving the mystery of stolen items and a dead body. I couldn’t understand Riley when they discovered a dead body, and she said we have to have sex before we call the police. I would prefer skipping the Riley story and adding more character development and emotional pull in the main story.

I was annoyed with the cover picture not fitting the story. On the cover, a guy is holding a camcorder pointed at a girl in the same room. That never happened. A webcam on a computer was used in the book, and he was in a different state at the time. Second, the girl is wearing high heels. That does not happen in the story. She brought hiking boots to Vail, no high heels. Does the publisher care so little for the story that they cannot be bothered to find a better picture? Do they even read their own books? Apparently not the people making decisions about covers. I think the publisher insults the author by doing this. I know it’s not the author’s fault.
