One of the great Egyptian modernism novels, Abd-El-Rahman Al-Sharqawi used all the modernism feature in it. I loved that part of the young Egyptian students who wanted to see Egypt has it's own freedom away from England. Plus, that part when they were fighting for the sake of constitution and trying to make people understand its importance, reminded me by nowadays. As also, when Saad was dead it was one of the most touching scenes that makes you cry same for Altaf. The events when you see " Rajaa' Sedki" is sick is also a touching one.
In conclusion, it reminds you by nowadays politics events in Egypt, but the different is that nowadays we are divided and don't know that we want, but in their time, they knew what they want. Excellent novel.
