This wonderfully designed and well-crafted manga tells the story of two men who are polar opposites who fall in love. The key topics of the love story are the winter season and photography. Every aspect of the story is flawlessly linked with one another. The artwork is exquisite. One of the best yaoi (boys love) mangas I've ever read.

It feels like I am reading a prefect manga after a decade! This manga is so damn beautiful and sad and so wholesome.
It happened one very cold snowy day that a chance meeting had had to happen for our two characters. A wild life photographer who’s quite hot and charming. A very introverted shy character who’s quite uncomfortable with intimacy and interactions.
I love these characters so much! The chemistry is so good! I love the artwork and the art sequence. Everything worked perfectly.
I root for them ever since I laid my eyes on them. I hope there’s an adaptation soon. Wait…. Let’s wait for the manga to come out first!
Their interaction is so wholesome and I cried thinking about them when the manga ended. Such a perfect story!

the cutest thing ever! The main relationship was really sweet and intricate. I adored how clueless and conventional both of the major characters were. If you're searching for a slow burn , this is a terrific choice because of the art!

Easily became one of my favourite mangas.
It's a beautiful slowburn story, with lots of emotions and yet so understated. The art is gorgeous, and honestly, I am swept away every time a character waits for their love interest. That kind of persistence, patience and love is always a winner in my books.
"You know, I love the world as you capture it, Narumi. So no matter where you go, I'll be rooting for you.
But whenever you need to rest your wings... promise me you'll come back here."
Made me cry like a baby at least 3 times, but honestly I probably just wept throughout the last half.

I love the snow irony and symbolism: Hokkaido and its long winter season, Haruki's cold heart and hate of winter season. But I can still feel the warmth of the air whenever Akki smiles. He's so damn precious. This is just so adorably perfect, and the art style is so beautiful that I find myself staring longer at each panel just to pay respect to the author's hardwork. This is really an incredible read and is really worthwhile. I think I just found yet another boys love author with wholesome works. Thanks gee, I found this!!

City dwellers and people from rural areas see the world differently. This difference is beautifully captured in Tomo Serizawa’s manga “Snow Fairy”. Akihito Narumi is a wildlife photographer from Tokyo who is in Hokkaido to take photos of snow fairies and Haruki Homura is a young resident in the local area. Narumi sees life through his photo lens and Haruki has been cloistered in this quiet landscape since his parents were killed in a car accident many years ago.
Haruki invites Narumi to stay at his house until he succeeds in finding the snow fairies and they end up spending the entire winter together. Narumi quite quickly realizes his feelings unlike Haruki who has never experienced romance before. This leads to some misunderstandings along the way, but they manage to be truthful to each other in the end. The snow fairies are not some gnome-like mythical beings, but the most adorable little birds. They are a symbol of the miscommunication between Haruki and Narumi, because in the end they turn out to be pretty birds that are common in Hokkaido and not supernatural beings that are impossible to capture on camera. It is after Haruki realizes that Narumi was looking for birds that he also realizes that his feelings for Narumi are profound. This honesty allows them to snuggle up (p. 175) like the two swans in Narumi’s photo (p. 26).
The artwork in this manga is stunning. Especially, the drawings of the birds are elegant and cute, both at the same time. The cover is done in colour and shows the couple lying in the snow and a second colour plate has them gazing into each other’s eyes on a background of snow-covered trees. The quiet aesthetic of the art complements this short, sweet story of two people who find each other despite their differences.

I loved this little manga about Haruki, the young farmer in Hokkaido and Narumi, the wildlife photographer from Tokyo. They had the softest relationship build up I’ve ever read. It gave me all the warm and cosy feelings and was just perfect as a Christmas read.
The only problem I’ve had was the small writing often white or light grey squeezed into the frames’ corners. (*cough* It might be time for reading glasses.?)
I’m happy I bought this on a whim (after I had read Ajx’s review). Will be definitely rereading this when I’m in need for some heartwarming and uplifting story.

the absolute sweetest! the main relationship was just adorable and well developed. i loved how oblivious and domestic both main characters were. the art is perfect and it's fittinh that this centers photography. if you're looking for a slow burn perfect for the winter season, this is a great pick!

Yet again, I am re-reading this book while there is still a hint of winter in Mumbai’s air. I couldn’t have picked a more apt bookish companion than Snow Fairy which is such an atmospheric read with its snow-laden setting, cozy interiors, and heartwarming story.
When Akihito Narumi, the legendary wildlife photographer from Seoul gets stranded in rural snow island, Hokkaido…Haruki Homura, a quiet and reclusive resident comes to his rescue. He tells Aki to stay in his house till the harsh winter lets up and the intrigued city boy agrees. As Aki gets used to a slower but more attuned pace of bucolic life, he understands why orphaned Haru, despite living alone, is truly one with his hometown. As the two starkly different personalities start co-habiting, sharing mundane tasks, savouring the magic of being behind the camera lens, and spending quiet moments of growing awareness between themselves, they realize how essential they are to each other without having to change their core personalities.
Snow Fairy is exquisitely illustrated. You can feel the hush of snowbound intimacy, the bite in the freezing air, the indefinable smell of freshly fallen snow, the warmth of sharing a hot fry-up on a chilly morning, the silken smoothness of Haru’s never-dyed, jet black hair, and the soft heat radiating from the blush on the world-weary Aki’s cheeks whenever he is around Haru.
The story is slow-paced, wholesome, and mature, wherein both the male leads respect each other’s boundaries and despite the best of intentions, don’t try to impose their world views on each other. A smattering of supporting characters enhances the plot without being intrusive.
It was a truly satisfying read.

Snow Fairy is a sweet BL manga with lovely art, a cute story and interesting characters. Those combined made the winter season feel almost magical!
Narumi and Haruki are completely different people but they work so well together. Narumi is from the big city, is a wildlife photographer and has been travelling around the world for his work. Haruki lives alone and is relatively recluse, but very kind. The pair are perfect foils and they just fit together so well. I loved watching them learn about each other and grow.
The art style is lovely for this manga. The cover looks dreamy and the inside art had crisp lines and good shading. The story itself was relatively slow paced but sweet and a really nice, cozy read.
This is a one and done manga so there isn’t a book two. If you’re looking for a sweet BL manga I’d definitely recommend this!

This was so adorable! I loved it. The art is cute, the story is sweet. It is everything you want in a slow burn romance novel. It is the story of a wildlife photographer stranded in a small town trying to take pictures of Snow Fairies. So he stays with a local. It is a nice sweet story there is no love triangle, no big bad drama or misunderstanding that frustrates you. It is excellent.

El hada de las nieves es uno de los BLs más bonitos que he leído en mucho tiempo, me ha enamorado de principio a fin, y de lo único que me arrepiento es de no haberlo empezado antes ya que el tomo llevaba en mi estantería bastantes meses.
La historia nos habla de Haruki, un campesino algo solitario de Hokkaido cuya vida cambia cuando se encuentra con Narumi, un fotógrafo profesional, al que acoge en su casa durante el invierno.
Los personajes han sido mi parte favorita de este manga. Haruki empieza siendo un chico algo solitario y gru?ón, pero poco a poco va aceptando la calidez y buena voluntad de Narumi, bajando sus barreras y abriendo su corazón. Narumi le hace cambiar su visión de muchas cosas, incluso del invierno, una estación que antes odiaba porque la asociaba a un trauma del pasado y que ahora no quiere que termine ya que eso implicaría perder a Narumi.
Por su parte, Narumi es un chico muy extrovertido y que tiene buenas palabras para todo el mundo. Le apasiona fotografiar animales y ha ido a Hokkaido buscando uno en especial, lo que no esperaba era encontrar a su hada de las nieves en Haruki. Narumi empieza siendo algo impaciente, nunca pasa mucho tiempo en un mismo lugar, pero al lado de Haruki aprende lo que es el hogar y encuentra un sitio en el que echar raíces, o al que volver después de terminar uno de sus trabajos.
Mi otra parte favorita es la relación entre Narumi y Haruki, lo bonita, sana y respetuosa que es en todo momento y ha sido precioso ver como ha evolucionado a lo largo del invierno que pasan juntos. A través de la fotografía se dan cuenta de sus sentimientos, ha sido maravilloso.
Por último quiero destacar el dibujo de Tomo Serizawa, me tiene enamorada y sin duda voy a darle la oportunidad a otros de sus mangas que han sido publicados aquí. Solo me queda recomendaros este maravilloso manga y no hagáis como yo, leedlo en cuanto lo compréis. Ha pasado a ser un safe place al que acudir cuando esté baja de ánimos y necesite leer algo bonito.

Questo volume unico l'ho trovato di una dolcezza disarmante, mi è riuscito a scaldare il cuore.
Sarà per i personaggi che crescono emotivamente, i disegni incantevoli e super dettagliati, l'atmosfera magica che viene creata e soprattutto la storia con il suo sviluppo; mi sono sentita avvolta in una bella coperta calda.?
Tutti gli eventi girano attorno alla fotografia, mezzo attraverso il quale Narumi, più estroverso e alla mano, riesce ad esprimere le sue emozioni e fare scoprire il mondo.
Grazie alla macchina fotografica Haruki, solitario e introverso, riuscirà a cambiare il suo modo di vedere le cose che lo circondano ed anche se stesso.?
E' una storia che si sviluppa lentamente, come lo sciogliersi della neve in inverno, questo ci permette di seguire al meglio i due protagonisti e la loro crescita.
Nonostante sia un volume unico l'ho trovato assolutamente ben sviluppato e completo, si riesce infatti a conoscere ed approfondire il passato sia di Narumi che di Haruki, creando così un bel legame tra la storia e il lettore.??
Menzione d'onore ai disegni, non ho mai letto un manga con delle illustrazioni così ricche di dettagli.
Li ho trovati perfetti per rappresentare l'atmosfera eterea della storia, sono infatti riusciti a creare un'aura magica e sognante attorno ai due protagonisti.?
E' un vero gioiellino che vi consiglio assolutamente, da leggere sotto le coperte con un bel tè caldo, lasciandovi avvolgere dalla sensibilità di questo manga.?

Sarà per i personaggi che crescono emotivamente, i disegni incantevoli e super dettagliati, l'atmosfera magica che viene creata e soprattutto la storia con il suo sviluppo; mi sono sentita avvolta in una bella coperta calda.?
Tutti gli eventi girano attorno alla fotografia, mezzo attraverso il quale Narumi, più estroverso e alla mano, riesce ad esprimere le sue emozioni e fare scoprire il mondo.
Grazie alla macchina fotografica Haruki, solitario e introverso, riuscirà a cambiare il suo modo di vedere le cose che lo circondano ed anche se stesso.?
E' una storia che si sviluppa lentamente, come lo sciogliersi della neve in inverno, questo ci permette di seguire al meglio i due protagonisti e la loro crescita.
Nonostante sia un volume unico l'ho trovato assolutamente ben sviluppato e completo, si riesce infatti a conoscere ed approfondire il passato sia di Narumi che di Haruki, creando così un bel legame tra la storia e il lettore.??
Menzione d'onore ai disegni, non ho mai letto un manga con delle illustrazioni così ricche di dettagli.
Li ho trovati perfetti per rappresentare l'atmosfera eterea della storia, sono infatti riusciti a creare un'aura magica e sognante attorno ai due protagonisti.?
E' un vero gioiellino che vi consiglio assolutamente, da leggere sotto le coperte con un bel tè caldo, lasciandovi avvolgere dalla sensibilità di questo manga.?

Now to the story. It was so cute and adorable. The are is beautifully done and the story? Sweet as hell. If you are looking for a one and done manga this is it. You get the story and an ending and everything in between. A cute little winter read that will be sure to warm you up!
