Este al patrulea volum din seria 鈥淒etectivii Timpului鈥� 葯i este un roman poli葲ist din Grecia Antic膬. Fabian Lenk ne introduce prin aceast膬 serie de romane 卯ntr-o c膬l膬torie prin diverse perioade istorice al膬turi de Julian, Kim, Leon 葯i pisica lor, Kija.
Destina葲ia din acest volum este Olympia 鈥� anul 532 卯nainte de Hristos unde vom face cuno葯tin葲膬 cu unul dintre cei mai cunoscu葲i eroi ai Jocurilor Olimpice din lume 葯i anume legendarul Milo din Croton. Cu fiecare pagin膬 citit膬, cititorii vor afla despre cultura, tradi葲iile, obiceiurile, nivelul de trai, legisla葲ia 葯i multe altele despre perioada men葲ionat膬 anterior. Aici se mai adaug膬 geografie, arhitectur膬, arme, bani 葯i vestimenta葲ii.

Review of 鈥濼reason in Olympia鈥� by Fabian Lenk:
It鈥檚 the fourth book from 鈥淭he Time Detectives鈥� series and it鈥檚 a detective story from Ancient Greece. Through this series, Fabian Lenk introduces us in a journey through different historical settings and time periods along with Julian, Leon, Kim and their cat, Kija.
The destination here is Archaia Olympia in the year 532 BC, where we will meet with one of the most famous heroes of the Olympic Games in the world namely, the legendary Milo of Croton. With every page read, the readers will find out about the culture, traditions, customs, standard of living, legislation and many other things in the period mentioned earlier. We may add geography, architecture, weapons, money and clothing.
The case that the three detectives have to solve is similar to the numerous cases of sabotaging some sportsmen during the more recent Olympic Games for racial and gender reason and out of envy. One of the most important lessons we learn is to never let ourselves be blinded by hatred like Kim is. Because she bears grudges against the mistress of the inn throughout the story, she suspects her of sabotage. The second lesson is that corrupted souls will do anything for fame and fortune even if it means hurting their own henchmen.
Another moral that we draw from this novel is that we all have the spirit of a winner when it comes to doing everything we planned to do as long as we don鈥檛 let ourselves be intimidated by our opponents and believe in ourselves.
Envy, shame, pride, discouragement, insecurity, sarcasm, justice, bravery, patience, thinking things clearly, perseverance, determination, truth, respect and forgiveness are some of the themes discussed throughout this book.
The novel makes reference to the first Olympic Games in ancient times before the Christians arrived in Greece.
Adventure, investigations, time travel, suspense, family, twist of plot, mystery, betrayal and loyalty are some of the things which will you discover while reading the story. The novel itself can be considered a page ripped from a history book.
Mr. Lenk is one of the first writers, who proved that one can both teach the readers history and make them discover the joy of reading by using one鈥檚 knowledge, documentation and imagination to create an educational and captivating work of art.
Kija鈥檚 behavior is similar to Watson鈥檚, Agatha鈥檚 cat from the 鈥淎gatha: Girl of Mystery鈥� series by Sir Steve Stevenson because both cats act like police dogs and help the heroes with their cases. There are moments when she gives us the impression that she鈥檚 not a normal cat due to the way she acts in different situations. Although they鈥檙e not related, the heroes from 鈥淭he Time Detectives鈥� series set a good example of teamwork. Brave, clever and ready for a new adventure, the trio is ready to solve a new case.

Das war ein eher langweiliger Fall, der sich meines Erachtens sehr gezogen hat. Der Haupt-Pluspunkt f眉r mich sind die Kapiteleinstiegs- und -endbilder von Kija. Die sind putzig.
