To the outside world I am the picture-perfect politician who leads the country with integrity and morality but deep down I know the truth of what hides beneath the surface.
A flawed man with a rotten soul and not-so-selfless intentions.
The Commander-in-Chief.
I am all of that and more.
I am also a selfish man hell-bent on ruining everyone’s life, including my own, over the woman who sets my world on fire.
I couldn’t risk getting distracted. I couldn’t risk another heart. Another life.
I had one goal, and that was to ruin the Parisi name.
But then she came along, and I learned the true meaning of obsession.
Obsession and love.
I never intended to fall in love with my enemy’s daughter, but I did.
I found once-in-a-lifetime love until I ruined it trying to be a better man.
I shattered her heart and started a war.
I am no stranger to it and the war for her heart is not one I intend to lose.
Adriana Brinne, is a new author who fell in love with reading from a very young age but never felt brave enough to share her words with the world. Born and raised on the enchanting island of Puerto Rico, Adriana’s tropical upbringing imbued her with a deep appreciation for beauty and storytelling. By day, she navigates the world of computer science as a full-time tech, but when she’s off the clock, she indulges in her favorite contemporary romances written by her favorite authors and binge-watches The Big Bang Theory.
Adriana’s writing is characterized by her love for sweet and spicy romance, soft yet strong female protagonists, and grumpy heroes who secretly adore them. While she delights in exploring a variety of romantic tropes, she steers clear of themes involving cheating or death, preferring to craft stories that evoke all the feels without those heavy dark elements.

“You’re nothing to me, I say through gritted teeth, hoping that my voice doesn’t betray me. Thankfully, my tone comes off as convincing. “That is a lie, darling. I am everything to you. Just like you are the whole fucking world to me. Heaven, hell, and if there is something beyond that. You’re that, too.
Okay, so this book was definitely better than the previous one and had top tier grovelling. Sebastian tried so hard to win Arianna back and all of his efforts made me melt into a puddle. His constant efforts and enthralling words had me swooning! Seriously this book has one of the best grovellings I have ever read because it goes on until 70% of the book. What happened after that was cliche and predictable but the first half was really good. Also the epilogue was heartwarming and I felt so happy that Arianna got her happily ever after and a huge, loving family which she always deserved. Her love for Ellaiza was the highlight of this book and I couldn't get enough of their scenes together. She loved the little cutie unconditionally and in return Ellaiza provided her the much needed love and comfort. Also, I loved how she played the cutest little cupid between her parents and helped her dad! Overall, this book was wholesome but really long. Especially the last few chapters felt never ending and sometimes I felt like Ariana was over dramatic and unnecessarily rude and cold which annoyed me. So, if the book was a bit shorter, I would've loved it more tbh.
Bastian is the conclusion of In Love & War Duet by Adriana Brinne, and I have to say that the second book is even better than the first one. I loved how Adriana wrote this one. Her writing is fluid, cohesive and coherent. I couldn't put the book down, I read it in one day.
Arianna was great in the first book, but in Bastian she is even better. She is so strong, fierce, intelligent. She was out for revenge after Bastian broke her heart in Arianna, and my woman did everything to teach him a lesson. Her relationship with Ella was amazing, I loved to see their bond.
Sebastian was amazing in this book too, I loved him more than I loved him in first one. And I have to say that this man know how to grovel. It was amazing to see he trying to bring her back into his life.
Sebastian and Arianna relationship were everything. They had so much chemistry since the first book and in the second book it was no different. I loved all of their scenes together, even if Arianna hated him for what he did to her, she couldn't forget him, at least not completely. When they got together again, I started to cry from happiness.
Bastian is book two of the in love and war duet that follows Arianna (also the name of book one) and Bastian’s epic love story. Bastian is their conclusion after the events in the first one and it did not disappoint. Some of those first chapters were so painful to read because of just how much these two characters loved (and love) each other. The end made all that pain and suffering worth it though!!!
I loved seeing Ella and Ben again. Ella was such a sweetheart and I loved how special her and Arianna’s relationship was!
I cannot wait for the rest of the books in this world!
the family moments, the pain, the fluff, everything about this was so satisfying. I'm obsessed with both arianna and bastian along with their whole world of characters. i just think it's so much fun to explore this world and i need second gen NOW.
This is the conclusion to "Arianna", and i have to say that this book is even better than the first one. I loved everything in this book, the great chemistry that Bastian and Arianna have, the relationships . I was so glad that they could have their happy ever after, because if someone deserves it, it´s them. I absolutly love this series.

Well, I’m definitely going to be in a book hangover after this book. Adriana never fails to blow me away when it comes to her stories. Her writing truly gets better and better every release. Bastian ILAWP2 was the perfect wrap up and conclusion to him and Arianna’s love journey. Part One of their story took me on a roller coaster, but when I tell you Part Two just outdid the first ride. Imagine going on a roller coaster five times that. I cried with this family, I traveled with them, I smiled and laughed with them. All of it was just beautiful. The way it all came together in the end? Perfectly executed. —ĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔ
“'𝐦 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠."
First I want to talk about Arianna. Getting to watch her growth these past few years to know has been such a journey alone itself. My love for her has went 10x higher. Last time we saw her she was in a state of vulnerability and pain. While she still dealt with it, she turned that hurt and pain into 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫. Adult Arianna is such a bad a**. From her words, the way she dresses now, and just her aura. I absolutely love it. Also the career chosen for her couldn’t be any more perfect.
Also omg. The little sneak peaks of my cupcake Mila. The hold she has on my heart is so serious because it was just enough crumbs to hold me until her book. I’m so excited for her and Rian’s love story.
I also adored her friendships this book. Her and Quinn’s couldn’t be anymore of a perfect duo. The both of them are just strong women who takes no ones bs. You would think with their personalities that they would clash, but nope that’s not the case. They were their for each other during a time they needed someone. As for her and Benjamin. You can just tell they love each other. I enjoyed reading more of their friendship.
Bastian. How I’ve missed my favorite book politician. Oh wait I’m sorry. 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐓. Getting to go back more into Bastian’s past and see why he is who he is, was both a sad but beautiful journey. Bastian may be cold and a villain to everyone on the outside. But when it comes to his family he is the most charming and kindest man who would kill to make sure their okay. I love that Bastian was able to grow this book but also still be able to be himself no matter what. He has my heart, and that’s it.
Ellaiza. The love I have for this little girl is just beyond the stars. Getting to see her as her older self and getting to read in her POV. 🥺 The reunion between her and Arianna had my heart melting. Ellaiza truly loved her and their just everything. Also let’s not forget about her Shaw-Bear. 😌🐻 The two of them have the sweetest bond and he’s so protective over her. The older she gets I know the two of them will definitely be a force and I can’t wait. 😉
—ĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔ
Bastian and Arianna this book. The two of them are just so perfect and destined for each other. They definitely know it and the the universe does too. Their just such a powerful duo and nothing could ever get in either them or their family’s way. Nothing is forced with hem. Even after everything that they’ve been through and all that time. The romance, the chemistry, and the emotions are all still there with them. It was such an emotional journey with them and I honestly cried my eyes out during it, but in the end all I could do was smile.
—ĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔ
Now the ending. 😮 Adriana always knows the perfect directions to take her stories and give them the happily ever that they deserve. Arianna and Bastian’s ending was PERFECT. I won’t say much but just know, their such a beautiful family. The two of them are survivors and they deserved nothing but the upmost of happiness.
You all are going to absolutely love their conclusion. I have no doubt. Their going to capture your heart all over again. Both them and Arianna’s writing.
As always, thank you so so much Adriana for allowing me to read the beautiful happily ever after of Arianna, Bastian’s, and their family’s story. It couldn’t have ended any perfectly then it did.
—ĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔĔ This book is a interconnected-standalone and can be read as a duet, but I highly recommend reading the first 4 books in this series and the novella to get to know more about other characters. Trust me that their all just as beautiful and amazing.

Book Review: Bastian by Adriana Brinne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥 Smut: 5/5
Adriana Brinne does it again with Bastian, the second part of Arianna and Bastian’s love story and the concluding book in the In Love & War duo. This novel is a powerful, emotionally charged, and steamy roller coaster that leaves you exhilarated and teary-eyed. It’s the perfect wrap-up to their tumultuous yet breathtaking journey, proving why Brinne’s writing continues to captivate readers.

The Romance: Bastian and Arianna’s love story is the definition of epic. Their chemistry is electric, their connection is undeniable, and their growth as individuals and as a couple is beautifully crafted. This book solidifies them as a true power couple—stronger together, unyielding in the face of obstacles, and deeply in love. Their romance doesn’t just ignite sparks; it sets the pages on fire.
Arianna’s Growth: Arianna’s transformation from vulnerability and pain to power and confidence is a highlight of the novel. She takes control of her life, and her resilience shines through in her every move. From her commanding aura to her killer sense of style, adult Arianna is a force to be reckoned with. Her career arc feels perfectly chosen, and her emotional journey is as inspiring as it is moving.
Bastian’s Layers: As a character, Bastian is as complex as they come. His cold, villainous exterior hides a fiercely loyal and protective heart. This duality makes him an irresistible hero. Seeing him grow into his role as a family man and leader—without losing his edge—cements his place as a favorite.
Supporting Characters: Ellaiza, with her sweetness and charm, continues to steal hearts. Her bond with Arianna and her protective dynamic with Shaw-Bear are endearing highlights. Arianna’s friendships, particularly with Benjamin and Quinn, add depth to the story, showcasing the importance of support systems during challenging times.
The Ending: The conclusion of Bastian is everything you’d want for these characters—a happily ever after that feels earned and deeply satisfying. Brinne expertly ties up the story, leaving readers with a sense of closure and joy.
Final Thoughts: Bastian is a must-read for fans of the Unholy Trinity series and those who love intense, passionate romances with unforgettable characters. Brinne’s storytelling is vivid, emotional, and utterly addictive. This book will leave you in a book hangover for days, but it’s worth every moment. Arianna and Bastian’s journey is one you’ll want to revisit again and again.
Highly recommended for romance lovers who crave steam, depth, and a love story that feels destined by the stars.
After reading this book, all I can say is that Adriana put everything she had into writing the AriannaBastianElla tale.
The story here has everything AriBastian needs: love, sorrow, hurt, redemption, and vulnerability.
We see Bastian's elation after seeing Ari, Ari's hesitation to be vulnerable in the presence of Bastian after his betrayal, AriElla tender moments, and BanningArianna friendship. This novel will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. There were times when I wanted to tell Ari to just go to him, but I also understand Arianna's dilemma of trusting Bastian again because she endured disappointment and hurt her entire life, and when she opened up and trusted Bastian, he ripped her heart in two.

"When two souls are meant to be together like you and I are that’s not something you can stop. . Arc provided in exchange for an honest review. . Tropes: 🤍 Second Chance Romance 🫂 Mutual Obsession 🐺 Billionaire Romance 👑 Power Couple 🌚 Revenge Vibes . Bastian is the conclusion of the In Love & War Duet and the fifth book in the Unholy Trinity series. I will say that it was the perfect ending for both of them. It pains me that this journey is over, but I am so happy that they had their happy ending. . . This book continues 3 years after the end of Arianna, finding us with an Arianna full of hate, pain and desire for revenge for the man who broke her heart but also the father of the person she loves the most in the world. In the book we can see her professional growth as general director of an important newspaper, as well as everything she has had to go through has made her the person who was destined to be a queen, as well as knowing how to forgive and put all her trust and heart in someone who takes better care of him than his own. . Bastian in this book has finally become the president of the United States, we have a little more of his past, something that I love, I will say that despite the horrible event that happened, his personality was already like that 😅 he was a villain to everyone in the public eye but to those who matter he was the kindest and most charming man, obviously he had to suffer a bit for the decision he made and break Arianna's heart but I had no problem with her forgiving him because he literally proved to be worthy of your forgiveness. . Then we have my protégé Ellaiza God I love her so much 🤍 in that book She has stopped being a baby and has become the most beautiful girl in the world with a pinch of impudence that steals every scene with the reunion she most expected, the relationship and the love between Ella and Arianna will always be the purest thing to read, making us understand that the mother is the one who breeds, not the one who breeds. . And no less important we have the most loyal friend Benajmin was a great support for both Arianna and Bastian as well as a new character Shaw Ella's bodyguard and possible interest?😏 . No more than lovers of the first book will love this conclusion "And the Kentons lived happily ever after." . This book is standalone and interconnected and can be read as a duet, but I recommend reading the first 4 books in this series and the novel to learn more about other characters. .

𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 I’m blown away by the conclusion to the “in love and war”duet is so beautifully written, I love it. What a book , still reeling from the fact that i finished it and now I want more of them even though the author gave us a lengthy storyline 😂🤭. I was anticipating this book from the time I finished Arianna the first book of their duet and the fifth book in the unholy trinity series. I also wanna mention how beautiful those discreet covers are with the lavender on them. I’m pretty sure I basically highlighted almost the whole book with how much I loved each line. It’s filled with so much emotions 🥹.
I love how Arianna made a name for herself, she was out for revenge but she didn’t push the boundaries all the way. Bastian was a grumpy man but when he was with Ella or Arianna you could see the love he had for them. His adoration for them was out of this world. He was so protective, truly impeccable. Ella is the little sass queen we needed. I love how even though Ella is not Arianna’s biological mother she’s a mini Arianna. Ella and Bastian’s scene’s make you Swoon 😍.
You do feel heartache for the Main Characters as they try to navigate through their feelings and the aftermath of how the first book ended. But I enjoyed how the author wrote these chapters and took us through their story from start to finish. I also cannot forget about Benjamin and the new character Shaw truly very good, the security code names given by Shaw to Ella was magical. Benjamin’s name for Bastian is comical . I loved all of Bastian’s groveling scenes, his so romantic and cheesy 🤐. There’s so much more I want to say but i don’t want to spoil it so I’m gonna leave it as that. I definitely recommend reading their book, Arianna book 5 and Bastian book 6 to know their story and everything in between.
"He broke me to the point I don’t care for anything or anyone else. He made a broken heart fall for him and turned the purest of loves into the most vicious hate."
'Bastian' is the second and finale part to the In Love & War duet. Finally we get to see how Arianna & Bastian find their happily ever after. After living with the cliffhanger of book 1 I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Of course this book delivered everything you needed to end their story perfectly. My personal highlight was definitely Ellaiza!! This little cupcake loving girl stole my heart the moment we met her in part 1🥺 she played such an important role in the relationship between Arianna & Bastian and how they found their way back to each other. Arianna was (as always) a true badass queen but now more mature than we saw before. She found her passion in life and made it her career - and I have to say it suited her perfectly. Of course she didn’t make anything easy for Bastian (as she should haha). If you‘ve read part 1 you‘ll know why and that he definitely deserved to grovel🤭 but believe me nonetheless he was still the most confident character of them all haha. Bastian is the perfect counterpart to Arianna. They make such an unstoppable team together.
There was a moment when my heart dropped but I knew Adriana would never let their story end that way!!😅
Anyway it was the perfect ending for their story and I‘m just so happy that we finally have Arianna‘s story🥺
"This is where I was always meant to end up. We were written in the stars. It just took us a while to get it right."
Now I‘m excited to see which story Adriana will release next but I really hope it‘s gonna be Mila.🦋 I hope Quinne will also get her own story because this quote in particular got me hooked to know more about her!!
"Because I know what it feels like to be drowning, and Quinne is barely keeping her head above water."
Also the Epilogues were so precious and now I‘m even more excited that Adriana already announced a sec gen of her mafia world🥰 (Keep an eye on a certain girl and her bodyguard - cause I just know their story will be insane🤭)
This was perfect. I loved the kentons 🤍 Arianna is flawless, Sebastian is a dream, Their kids are adorable. When I started reading I knew they will end up being a big family. Arianna and Sebastian are truly soulmates. I loved how they were in sync and how similar they are. Bravo to the author for how she wrote arianna’s character, There’s nothing I love more in a book than a strong female lead. I did not expect for this book to affect me emotionally ! I cried so much when arianna and Ella reunited Sebastian can definitely grovel ! I still find it hilarious that arianna doesn’t care for Andrea 😂 that was totally real of her. I wish we had some interaction between arianna, mila and kadra though because it’s unlikely they fall apart when they had such a strong bond growing up. They needed to be at the wedding at least. By the end of the book, I wanted more of the kentons. I would love to read a novella while the kids are still young, I want to see bastian interact with his boys.
This was definitely the author’s best work out of the series !
Ps : I hope to god that Ella doesn’t end up with the Nicolasi kid. Pss: please edit the cover. It’s giving cheap vibes which this book is not !

Adriana girl you had me on my toes when the first book finished and the cliffhanger was uffff so great! The book start with a huge bang and we come across two people who are trying their best to achieve what they want while fighting the passion they have for each other. First thing first, this book goes all to Bastian. He has great character development in this book and Arianna is already a queen. She showed him his error. This book made me laugh and cry at the same time scream! It was a wholesome package of full entertainment and one thing I really want to say that Miss Adriana knows how to write cinematic scenes. I thought I was watching a movie. There were many surprises in this book, some old things getting clear and some new things starting. Lastly I want to give a big shoutout to my lady Queen Elliaza she was true core of sass and fun and to keep you at your place at such a young age 😂 I loved her moment with Arianna 🥺
The fact that she confirmed a couple too 😉 I can't wait for them.
Similar to the first book in this duet, I do not think this needed to be over 400 pages long I honestly think both books could have been a single book that was 400 pages total.
This book actually started off strong and my interest was peaked again but then all the fire started to fizzle out and we went back into it being all fluff and filler. Again, I do like the characters and their banter and relationships but I didn’t need this much of it with nothing else going on.
There’s 2 conflicts in this book (technically 3 if you count how it starts out but I’m going to focus on the 2 towards the end) and they could’ve been so good and juicy but they were resolved so fast as if they didn’t matter and boom back to the fluff.
There’s also 3 epilogues which I don’t get why tbh all of it could’ve fit into a singular 2 minute epilogue but there is a little group chat moment in the last one that was cute.
Give me all you got, darling. Your war, your pain, fuck, give it all to me.
Amazing conclusion to this duet. Beautifully written yet again.
Loved every element to this book. Arianna came back out for revenge after Bastian let her down and humiliated her. Even though he did her wrong I still loved him. He knew he messed up as soon as he done it. He grows into a man who know when he done wrong by the woman he loved. And Arianna definitely finds herself in this book away from that man who saved her then ruined her. -Favorite part of this book was that Bastian was the President of the United States. lOVED IT. Arianna really did her research she actually put so much effect into the plots for all the characters. This wasn't just a romance it had different element of realness which is such a big thing to me when reading. Really really enjoyed this read. I read it in two sittings I was gone, It completely took over.
I have to mention Ellaiza and her shaw-bear lol. I hope when she is older she'll have a book. The cuteness was real.
Highly recommended read. If you love, enemies to lovers, a single dad, possessive alpha and grump lol. And lots of cuteness.
Really good writing from the author, and the love story was so so good.
The only problem I had with the plot was the fact that we never learn who Ella's biological mother is. I personally thought that this book would introduce her character, especially after Arianna said that she found the whole situation suspicious (the fact that the mother misteriously dissapeared). Moreover, the whole assistent of Bastian thing - I thought she would be the antagonist in this book (at one point I actually thought that she was Ella's biologicial mother, and I'm disappointed that we didn't see the possibilities that were tied to her).
Also, the last 30% of the book is kind of boring and repetitive because nothing really happens.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Bastian is the conclusion of the Love and War duet! After reading Arianna, we know what Bastian did for her to go out in the world on her terms.
This story takes place a few years later - 3 to be exact. Bastian is now the President of the USA, but he has not been able to find Arianna all this time. She feels as though she has disappeared off the face of the earth.
Arianna has gone on to achieve quite a bit career-wise. She has stayed far from personal relationships and misses her little heart - Ellaiza. However, Arianna still has revenge on her mind. How can she hurt Bastian as much or worse than he hurt her - but not bring harm to Ella?
Does love conquer revenge, or will revenge be the most critical step?
I love the author's writing style! We get glimpses of Bastian's past, his villain ways, and still see the man that those close to him know. If I am honest, when I first read about Arianna in Andrea, I did not like her. This duet has made Arianna mfavoritete girl in the Holy Trinity. She has been through so much and is also quite misunderstood. Bastian and Arianna are the perfect matches for each other!
Oh my gosh....... Take one: I'm so in love with the president of the United States kink, I'm marrying one in the future. Maybe I should die my hair blonde so the whole Arianna appeal starts going for me. Damn the book was hot. Ella and nurse Kim, that was amazing. The group chat at the end, I love Benji Banning. And oh please, I'm all for Ella and Shaw. And how many kids does Kenton want to pump into Ari please 😂😂😂 This book was amazing, can't wait for Mila ❤️
I loved this conclusion so much. This family. The love. The grovel. The secondary characters.
I loved how this book was angsty, and had so many funny, cute little moments, too. Ella stole the show for me once again ahah. I just love her. I loved how emotional the story was, too. It really happened at the right moment, it all just came together perfectly, honestly. Seb is so romantic. I found myself swooning a lot ahah.
“Whose heart is this, darling? I feel his hand on my chest where my heart beats for him. Looking at those hypnotizing eyes of his that makes me feel loved beyond words, I reply. “Yours.
i would marry this guy in a heartbeat speaks french, calls her darling, sends her gold dipped roses??? sold.
This book disappointed me. First book was good but story went downhill for me. When he broke up with her it could've been done gracefully. There was no need to humiliate her. I was not satisfied with his groveling.
Es una buena historia, con muy buen potencial, pero creo que fue wrong book, wrong time porque siento que me hubiera gustado más si lo hubiera leído años atrás o en otro momento de la vida donde no estuviera en medio de un bloqueo lector😔.
This series has been a crazy enthralling experience. So many highs and lows, I have sobbed and laughed until I cried. I love happily ever after endings and so far each set of characters has theirs. On to the next book
