I very much regret starting this manwha. It had its highs and lows but the score ultimately came out in the negative.
The good points of this story are its art and emotional impact. These two aspects kept me reading on despite all the red flags and loopholes in the plot passing by. The art style is pretty and clean; not very unique but attractive to the eyes nonetheless.
The author also really knows how to write a drama scenario. There were a lot of dramatic moments that left you wanting more like a really trashy telenovela. Similar to watching strangers arguing by the road, you know while reading that it doesn't quite all make sense but you're invested in the drama and hope that it would all come together in the end. At least that's what I hoped. Spoiler. It doesn't.
What's worse is that the author chose this magical cop-out to make everything correct itself in the end and my gawd it was so lame. When this last arc began, I really wanted to just throw the book away but I'd already invested all that time and needed to know how it all ended. It was a magical happy ending. Some might be happy with it but I was completely turned off. If I could go back, I really wouldn't pick this story up again.
This manhwa had so much potential. The childhood part is sooooo good. The adult part felt rushed and confusing - there were parts that felt forced or made no sense. Kinda felt like the writer suddenly just wanted to end things. Such a pity because the build up to it was good.
The war between the Lagrange and Euclid, and the role of the false saintess were supposed to be like the main conflict but these were hardly shown - more of like an afterthought.
Such a pity since the art is good. Though after all that has been said, I am fine because at least I got to read this in its entirety (sans the special chapters)
Short snippet review for the entire series: Started out cute but when the characters don't mature when they become adults and continue acting like children, it just reads really juvenile and stops being fun and enjoyable. Also the pacing of the series is just too long and drawn out. There is a lot of filler, and the fight/ action scenes are terribly done. The highlight of the series is Veronica for me but even that isn't enough to save this series for me.
This story is so good. I loved every chapter from start to finish. The stories where the FL loves the ML from childhood are just the best. This story is a shot of dopamine directly into my bloodstream. I so want to read the side stories but I'm really ok with having finished the main story at chapter 117.
7.5/10! It was pretty good! The story was entertaining and just how willing the main characters were willing to sacrifice each other for the other was just so cute! The only thing I could see people not liking is that they grew up as ¡°siblings¡± that¡¯s the only thing I¡¯d say but overall it was good! Now I just gotta wait on the side storiesss!
