In an old house on a quiet street in the middle of America, he’s been quietly waiting.
Once, he’d been a captive of the ancient trunk in the cellar of Bell House. Still, all that ended years ago when a little girl went snooping and found what she mistook for a miraculous and magical new friend.
The tragedy that forced the little girl to move away from the old house left him heartbroken, but he is nothing if not patient. Sooner or later, someone always comes, and when they do, he’s never disappointed.
Whether it will start with the trans boy who sneaks in at night to play the old Wurlitzer or the Aunt next-door neighbor who tries desperately to squash the young man’s transition. Perhaps the frat-boy caretaker might stumble down the stairs one day?
But when the moving van arrives, bringing back the girl from long ago as a grown woman.
Things in the cellar of Bell House are about to get very interesting, indeed.
