Evgeny Shvarts (Russian: 袝胁谐械薪懈泄 楔胁邪褉褑) was a Soviet writer and playwright whose works include twenty-five plays and screenplays for three films (in collaboration with Nikolai Erdman).
My edition contained only The Shadow and The Ordinary Miracle. Somehow I expected more from The Shadow. Probably because I've read The Dragon and thought it was amazing. Both stories contain Shvarts's trademark sarcasm, humour and keen observations, but The Ordinary Miracle is truly a masterpiece.
So sweet and simple but also such a great space for experiment within stage production. And I know who must play the King if I were to work on this play馃槀 gotta be padre
