Tess Thompson Romance...hometowns and heartstrings.
Tess Thompson is the USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author of contemporary and historical Romantic Women’s Fiction with over 60 published titles. When asked to describe her books, she could never figure out what to say that would perfectly sum them up until she landed on, Hometowns and Heartstrings.
She’s married to her prince, Best Husband Ever, and is the mother of their blended family of four kids and five cats. Best Husband Ever is seventeen months younger, which qualifies Tess as a Cougar, a title she wears proudly. Her Bonus Sons are young adults with pretty hair and big brains like their dad. Daughters, better known as Princess One and Two, are teenagers who make their mama proud because they’re kind. They’re also smart, but a mother shouldn’t brag.
Tess loves lazy afternoons watching football, hanging out on the back patio with Best Husband Ever, reading in bed, binge-watching television series, red wine, strong coffee and walks on crisp autumn days. She laughs a little too loudly, never knows what to make for dinner, looks ridiculous kickboxing in an attempt to combat her muffin top, and always complains about the rain even though she chose to live in Seattle.
She’s proud to have grown up in a small town like the ones in her novels. After graduating from the University of Southern California Drama School, she had hopes of becoming an actress but was called instead to writing fiction. She’s grateful to spend most days in her office matchmaking her characters while her favorite cat Mittens (shhh…don’t tell the others) sleeps on the desk.
She adores hearing from readers, so don’t hesitate to say hello or sign up for her newsletter: . You’ll receive an ebook copy of her novella, The Santa Trial, for your efforts.
Much to her father’s horror, you can find her everywhere on social media. BookBub: Facebook: ŷ: Pinterest: Twitter: Instagram:

Thompson has done it again...this book is filled with wonderful characters, an incredible setting, and a story that you won't want to end. I laughed, I cried, I choked up...this book hit me in all the right spots. Anyone who enjoys contemporary, well written love stories should read Tess Thompson.
I won a Kindle edition of this book in a ŷ giveaway, and I thank the author and publisher for a chance to read and review this amazing book.
This is the last book in the Blue Mountain series, which takes place in Idaho and follows the Lanigan family. This particular book focuses on Teagan.
Teagan's life is full, between work as a costume designer, and raising her young son by herself. Working in the film industry is extremely stressful and doesn't allow her the time with her son that she craves, and the hectic lifestyle is getting pretty old. Teagan decides it's time to return home to be closer to family, and where life goes at a much slower pace, which she craves.
It won't be a bed of roses though, as Teagan is not on the best of terms with her mother. It doesn't help when country music star Wyatt reappears, just at a time when Teagan has finally begun to forget him and the relationship they had together.
Wyatt himself is trying to recover from a tragedy, and he has always remembered Teagan with love in his heart. He knows he needs to return to the small town to try to heal himself.
Characters from the first three books are mentioned in this episode, but it can be read as a standalone. That being said, I'd advise reading the complete series as it is a great story with a few twists and turns, and a little mystery, to keep it interesting
Motivazione: arrivata quasi a metà mi sono resa conto che la storia non mi stava prendendo. Le basi della relazione sono abbastanza scarse e visto che ho altri mille libri da leggere ho scelto di non continuare.
Blue String starts out with a gut-wrenching first chapter. I was drawn into the world of Teagan and Wyatt immediately! The sparks, the chemistry, the attraction, the pure romance of a Tess Thompson novel is "strung" throughout the pages of this book. Ms. Thompson adds characters that bring out emotional feelings that grab hold and I can't help but fall in love with them. She places them in situations that draw on my every desire to see them overcome and find their HEA through determination and strong relationships between the characters.
This is the love story of Teagan and Wyatt. Teagan is the youngest of the Lanigan clan and the most fiesty. She's a redhead with a temper but I couldn't help loving her. She is such a loving mom to her son, Chris, and she wants him to have a wholesome and secure childhood growing up. She puts her career on hold and they move back to her roots and family in Peregine, Idaho. A small hometown that is the perfect place to raise her son with uncles, aunts, and a mother she's a bit disconnected with. (This makes an interesting element to the story.) A place where loyalties, traditions, and a slower pace abound. It's also where she's retreated after a passionate, non-committed relationship with country super star Wyatt Black. "Never in my life had I been as drawn to a man, both physically and mentally. Which was exactly the problem."
Wyatt Black has been through a life-changing, traumatic event. It's left him broken and devastated for the families and people it affected. His creativity and drive are nonexistent and he can't get into his singing and writing music with the horrors that invade his mind. The only thing he thinks about is Teagan and what they had together. She's his hope. She's the love of his life and he is bound and determined to prove to Teagan she's the only one for him.
Tess Thompson has a talent for writing stories that are from her heart. Every single character is filled with emotions and stories that pull at my mine. The emotions are there from the amazing way Tess Thompson creates word stories in her books. Stories that draw you in and make you feel a part of them. She puts the reader into the lives of her characters in such a deep and involved way that you can't help but become a part of them. Then she places them in settings that I just want to close my eyes and step into. Blue String is another fantastic read by the super talented Tess Thompson. I loved reading Teagan's and Wyatt's story.
Thank you, Tess Thompson, for the wonderful read and the story of Teagan and Wyatt. The entire series has been a journey with a family I loved spending time with. A great ending to a great series. My heart is happy! All thoughts and opinions in this review are my heartfelt own.
This the fourth and final book in the Blue Mountain series where we follow the Lanigan siblings. It had been a while since I read the others so I did a reread of them and enjoyed getting lost in their lives in Peregrine, Idaho again! Blue String follows the youngest Lanigan and the only girl, Teagan. We’ve gotten some mentions of Teagan in the other books and the most we know about her is that she is a costume designer and she doesn’t have a great relationship with her mom. She comes back to raise her son in Peregrine and her one time love interest ends following her there. Wyatt is a famous country singer who witnessed a horrible event and he realizes that the only person who can help heal him is Teagan. I really enjoyed this book especially with the links to the Cliffside Bay series. Teagan and Wyatt are both very lovable characters. This book starts off pretty strong with some mystery and we get to experience more of Moonstone and her psychic powers. Then we find out someone else in the book has some of these powers that they (and we) didn’t know about! Overall it’s a great ending to this series! We get to see all the Lanigan siblings and their significant others along with their kids together and it’s just right! It seems like Ms. Thompson set up a couple of the other characters for a book of their own...maybe...?
Oh I missed Lanigan family in Peregrine, Idaho so much and for so long! I'd love to give this book and whole series more than five shiny🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟stars. Hometown and heartstrings that's where my journey to Tess Thompson's world started and I never looked back. Always sweet, heart touching emotional and so beautifully written it pulls you in to story, makes you love all the characters however strong but complex with humanly flaws and past's traumatic issues they are. They just seem so real and I've been so pleased to revisit them again. Teagan and Wyatt's story was the most beautiful of all 4 so far. It says something because I said the same about all of them. I won't believe it's the end of Lanigan's family story though amazingly wrapped and all the questions from the past were answered, new mystery solved. It had me smile, laugh, cry and sigh. This was like fresh breeze in a hot summer day. Do the favor to yourself and read this book, you are going to fall in love with it!
I absolutely loved this book! Teagan is a single mom, raising her son on the family land, having moved back home to give him security, family and normalcy! Wyatt is a mega country star, traveling town by town, until tragedy happens and then all he can see, from the darkness he is in, is Teagan . Having spent some time with her in the past, she’s the one that got away... He gets into his truck and drives one thousand miles to get to her , hoping she wants what he does. He arrives at her house while her birthday party is in full swing....a party that ends with a murder ! As the murder investigation proceeds so does the relationship between Teagan and Wyatt! I loved this book, this town and this family , it makes me want to start packing and move to Blue Mountain. Thank you Tess Thompson for another great read! This may be my favorite book yet.
I adore reading about the character sets that Tess Thompson creates, and I was lucky enough to have won copies of the first three in the Blue Mountain Series, a couple of years ago. When I heard that the fourth was coming out, I didn't hesitate to pre-order. This fourth book follows the Lannigan sister, Teagan, as she settles back into life in her childhood town. The death of her father and one of her brothers, has in some way or another, brought all the siblings back to the family land that holds such memories, and she has her own home build, to house her and Cris, her child. Teagan is a prickly character. She's not open to trusting people too easily, but when a certain person walks back into her life, after an intensive fling a while back, she is torn. Does she give her heart to the guy who may just swan off after he gets bored, or does she protect herself and her little boy, who is crying out for a father figure? Wyatt Black is a country music star with a block. After suffering PTSD when a shooter killed tens of people at one of his concerts, he is stuck in an emotional rut. The only thing that he wants is to anchor himself near the one person he can't get out of his mind. Teagan Lannigan. What follows is the tale of how they come together, once again, but not without plenty of bumps in the road, and even murder! One thing I love about Tess Thompson's books is how characters jump from one series to another, so there is already a familiarity to the story because you feel like you already know something, Wyatt Black features in the Cliffside Bay series, briefly, too.
There is nothing that Teagan wouldn’t do for her son Chris and that includes moving back to her hometown so that they can be near her family. She has been burnt by love in the past and is very cautious when it comes to love even though she was in a relationship with Wyatt she didn’t think twice about leaving him and her lifestyle behind.
Wyatt is a successful musician who finds himself struggling both personally and professionally after a traumatic event leaves him shaken. Although hurt by Teagan’s decision to leave he knows that being with her is where he needs to be.
Their journey is fraught with emotion as not only do they both need to heal from their pasts but there is also a murder close to home that adds further anxiety to an already tense situation. This is a heartwarming story about love and family that doesn’t disappoint.
We got to return to Peregrine, Idaho and the Lanigan family with this book. This one is about Teagan Lanigan and Country singer Wyatt Black. This book kept me turning those pages. Loved it.
Teagan Lanigan, a costume designer and Wyatt Black, a country music star are the two main characters in Blue String by Author Tess Thompson. Teagan has decided to come home to raise her son near her family and Wyatt Black has done nothing but spiral down into despair after a gunman opens up at one of his concerts killing and hurting many and needs a change of scenery. Blue String takes you through their reunion and their blossoming romance that Teagan is scared of but Wyatt truly wants. As usual I throughly enjoyed this story by Author Tess Thompson and believe you will as well.
This is the first book by Tess Thompson that I've read and I'm wondering why I waited so long. I was immediately drawn into this story, which is the fourth installment of the Blue Mountain series. Even though it's book 4, I did not at all feel like I was missing anything. I became totally immersed in the lives of Teagan and Wyatt, while also becoming curious to learn more about the other characters.
I loved the sassiness of the relationship between Teagan and Wyatt. They are both pretty headstrong but seem to understand that they are better together than apart. When a dead body is discovered at Teagan's birthday party, the whole family, Wyatt included, comes together to get to the bottom of things.
There is plenty of mystery and intrigue with this wonderful story-line, right along with the relationship building going on between the couple, to make this a page-turner. What a delightful story to get lost in!
I have the other books in the Blue Mountain series waiting on my Kindle and I can't wait to get to them!
recensione a cura del blog “Libri Magnetici" by Meghan
Ci eravamo scelti. Forse quello rendeva tutto migliore.»
Let me start off by saying I am a Tess Thompson Fan. I have read all of her books and anxiously await the next one in each series. Blue String is the 4th book in the Blue Mountain series. It has been a minute since I read book 3 in the series and contemplated re-reading the series so I wouldn’t be lost. In the end, I was too impatient and just read Blue Strings. Ms. Thompson is really good at catching the reader up on important details from previous books. That being said, I enjoy a rich appreciation of her books because I read all of her books from all of the different series. Characters often pop up from one series to another, for instance, Blue String has references to some of the Cliff Side Bay series. Teagan Lanigan is the youngest, and the only daughter of the Lanigan family. Though she left Blue Mountain to spread her wings for a while, being a single mother made her rethink her decision to be away from the small mountain town and her family. She appears to be tough and critical, not letting anyone get close to hurt her the way the father of her son did when he left her after finding out she was pregnant. Her son, Chris, is 6 years old and loves being near his uncles and their families. Like most kids raised by a single mother, he really wants to have a dad like his friends at school have. Wyatt Black is a Country music star who is reeling from post-traumatic stress because of a mass shooting at his last concert. He is in love with Teagan Lanigan and needs to show her that he loves her and isn’t the stereotype of a popular musician who has a different woman in every town. He is ready to settle down and have a family. The story is about love, family, life in a small town, and of course, a mystery. After a murder happens at one of Teagan’s parties, the authorities need to find the killer before he/she strikes again. The twists and turns of the mystery and the tender love story had me reading all day and late into the night to finish the book. I very much enjoyed Blue String, and recommend it to readers who like romance with a little mystery thrown in. Thank you for another great read, Ms. Thompson!
* I asked for and was provided an advance copy of this book for an honest review from the publisher.
Ah, finally we get to enjoy Teagan Lanigan, the only daughter of the original clan. We know that she'd had a big fight with her father before he died over her having a son with a mystery man whose identity she still withheld. She also had a very rocky relationship with her mother. Her fiery Irish temper matches her ginger locks and keeps her quite stubborn and determined.
But now she has come home from her design work in Hollywood to try to give her son some semblance of a normal childhood and to hopefully make some of the same wonderful memories that she has from her own childhood on this land.
When her birthday rolls around, she gets a surprise visit from her old flame, country music star Wyatt Black. The two of them had enjoyed a pretty intense relationship between the sheets. But they had also fallen for each other and didn't quite realize it.
One of Wyatt's concerts had been interrupted by a crazed gunman opening fire on the crowd. [You may remember this from one of Tess's other books, Missed, from the Cliffside Bay series.] Since then, he has been struggling to heal and can only think about Teagan. So he has come to see her and to hopefully win her heart as he heals his own and tries to regain his musical muse.
Teagan's concerns are that she doesn't want her heart broken if she allows herself to fully open it up to Wyatt. She is also concerned about letting her young son Chris get too attached. He needs a father, but doesn't deserve a heartbreak.
Wyatt is determined to prove himself to Teagan, but then a couple of murders happen and everyone becomes a suspect. They find themselves involved trying to solve the murders as they also try to discover if they can really make it work.
Wyatt is going to steal your heart as he tries to soften Teagan and finds himself hopelessly attached to Chris as well. Teagan is going to work on really valuing her whole family, beyond just her son. I'm so glad we finally get to know her.
It's another great visit with some familiar friends, and meeting some new ones, in Peregrine, Idaho.
I adored every page of this return trip to Peregrine, Idaho and the Lanigan family. I love the way this story is connected to all the other stories by this author. It's a complete standalone, but fans will recognize several crossover characters and events.
Teagan and Wyatt's fling was mentioned in the earlier book, Blue Ink, and then we heard about the tragedy at one of his concerts in Missed (book 6 of the Cliffside Bay series). This story picks up right after that, as Wyatt is trying to find his way forward after such a devastating trauma. Teagan reaches out to him to offer support, and he decides his priorities right then and takes off for Idaho.
I loved the way that Wyatt knew his heart even though he was struggling with all the rest. In the same way, Teagan was secure in her family even though she had her own struggles. I thought the connection between her father and the falcon for whom the town is named was brilliantly inspired and exquisitely executed.
In the midst of this growing romance, we also have a shocking murder mystery that causes everyone to examine just what they know about each other as the detective on the case slowly eliminates suspects. The conclusion to this storyline had me on the edge of my seat with suspense before justice was served and our HEA was secured.
This book is another masterful success from an author who consistently hits out of the park. You won't feel like you've missed anything if you haven't read her other works, but if you have, you'll appreciate the family connections all the more. I highly recommend this story as well as the entire series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
Blue String by Tess Thompson is a wonderful small-town romance mixed with a crime mystery. This one is the fourth book of the Blue Mountain series and it’s about the girl of the Lanigan family, Teagan and Wyatt Black a Southern country singer.
It’s a well-written book with a great structure, no grammar or spelling errors. It’s written by an alternative dual pov. It has a gripping storyline with a slow build-up. It starts with a kind of dramatic scene, then for a while it concentrates on the romance but then it added the crime which enhanced the story. After that everything slowly led up to the big ending surprise.
The romantic part is very sweet and heartwarming, the crime is filled with mystery and it has twists and turns that throw you off so much you won’t even figure out who is the murderer. It doesn’t contain any serious graphic or x-rated scenes so it is perfect for all ages.
The characters are amazing as well. Teagan is a feisty redhead who is very lovable by everyone but in her personal life is like a skittish little cat. Wyatt is a true southern cowboy with his kind nature and his nurturing ways. He was like a fresh breath of air, so different from all the male characters that I read all the time. I liked the chemistry they had.
I fell in love with this book I finished it at once. I highly recommend you read this even as a standalone. I will rate it with 5 stars. PS. I love a good happy ending!!!
What an enjoyable, engrossing story including a mystery along with the second chance romance. This was the first book I have read by Tess Thompson, and even though it’s the 4th book in the series I enjoyed the book. The characters are all unique and interesting including Teagan and Wyatt.
The second chance romance between Wyatt and Teagan was a little unique. Wyatt is broken after experiencing a traumatic event at one of his concerts. The aftereffects of the trauma has him recognizing he loves Teagan and he let his pride stand in the way of going after her.
Teagan left Wyatt and went back home to her family to raise her son in a normal environment. After having her heart shattered by her son Chris father, for years she’s only allowed herself to having meaningless flings. She left Wyatt before he could leave her.
When Wyatt shows up unexpectedly and uninvited to her 35th birthday party, she is surprised and skeptical of whether Wyatt really has feelings for her or if he’s maybe just looking for a safe place to heal. A murder at her party and the mystery about who the killer is and why they killed sways Teagan to ask Wyatt to stay at her house. This puts him in her son’s world and makes they both face their feelings and what they want.
The plot and pacing is intriguing and keeps your interest from the first chapter until the end. I’s so glad I was introduced to this new to me author, and plan to read the other books in this series and her other series.
I received an ARC and am leaving a review voluntarily.
This book is the fourth in the Blue Mountain series by one of my favorite authors Tess Thompson. It is the story of Teagan and Wyatt’s love.
Teagan is the youngest and only girl in the family. She’s protected and with her temperament she never thinks she needs anyone’s help. It’s her and her son, Chris. She’s never told anyone who Chris’s father is. Teagan is a great mother, sister and daughter. She’s had many ups and downs in her life and is afraid to give Wyatt her heart.
Wyatt is a country singer who has had problems of his own. Trying to get over a horrible act that took lives at his last concert, he blames himself. He is a very caring man and loves Teagan. He will do anything to make her his. Anything to win her heart.
This book will capture your heart. It also has a mystery/thrill thrown in to keep you wondering. A whodunnit in the midst of a birthday party.
Tess has a way of telling a story that keeps you wanting more. The descriptions in this book make you feel like you are right there in Peregrine, Idaho. You’ll feel like you are there in the midst of all that is going on.
Told from Wyatt’s and Teagan’s POVsthis book will keep you turning the pages until the very end. It’s a great book that will give you all the feels. You will root for Wyatt to win Teagan’s heart.
I won a copy of this from ŷ and am very happy I did.
It’s a huge 5/5 stars and a very high recommendation to anyone that likes a more laid back yet edge of your seat in part, light love story. It’s great!!
Tess Thompson’s 4th book, Blue String, in the Blue Mountain series is the best book out of all of them. That’s what I think every time I finish reading a book by Tess Thompson.
This 4th book is the story of the Lanigans only sister Teagan. She is smart, strong willed and has worked hard to become a costume designer for Hollywood. She is a single parent and realizes that “Hollywood Life is not the best for her 6 year old son Chris. She moves back to the Lanigan land. Each sibling and their families have their own homes. Her father has passed and her mother lives with one of her brothers and his wife. Chris will now be surrounded by family and not the cold Hollywood set.
Teagan planned out her new home and life leaving her job because it was the best thing to do for Chris. Teagan and Chris are settling in to their new way of life. But it’s not turning out the way she planned. Teagon is in the middle of the family dynamics, rekindling a past romance with a troubled country singer, a murder happens at her birthday party and she is one of the suspects and finally she has been given an offer for her dream job.
As I turn the pages I fall in love with her country singer and back in love with the Lanigan family, the family psychic and the blue mountains.
I truly recommend this series, you to will be enthralled with the Langians and the mystic Blue Mountains.
I received an ARC of this book at my own request from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.
Book 4 in the series is the story of Teagan, the only daughter of the Lanigans, who returns home with her young son so he can have a stable life. It is also about country music star, Wyatt Black, who is suffering after a disastrous event. The book also involves a murder investigation that poses a threat to everyone in this small town in Idaho. "She's a single mom happily raising her son with the help of her family. He's a country music star reeling from tragedy. When he shows up on her doorstep asking for a safe place to hide from the world, will she let him into her heart and family? Costume designer Teagan Lanigan only has time to love her work and the young son she’s raising by herself. But when she decides to give up the glitz and glam of the film industry for a quiet life near her family, she’ll face two unique challenges: reconciling with her estranged mother, and trying to forget her fling with a very famous country music star. Yet when Wyatt Black suddenly appears on Teagan’s porch, forgetting him is no longer an option. The man who wooed her with sensuality and song is just a shell of himself. Fragile and depressed, he’s carrying the weight of the world on his broad shoulders, and Teagan can’t turn him away. But when the pair find themselves in the middle of a murder investigation, it will be more than just Wyatt’s troubles and the duo’s lingering feelings for each other that leave them tied up in knots." synopsis copied
Blue String is Book 4 of the Blue Mountain series. This is Teagan Lanigan's and Wyatt Black's story. Tess Thompson has written their story in alternating paragraphs from her point of view to Wyatt's point of view. Teagan and Wyatt had an intense relationship for about a month while working together on a movie. Fast forward and Wyatt suffers an emotional trauma that he is trying to recover from by himself. On impulse, he drives to Peregrine, Idaho to see her, unannounced. He checks into Moonstone's inn who gives him some advice that will affect everything he does in the future.
Not only are we reunited with the Lanigan clan, we learn more about Teagan's son Chris, meet a new character who may show up in another novel. Well, I can hope, can't I?
As her birthday party is winding down, something happens that impacts Teagan and her remaining guests in a gruesome way. Don't worry - Teagan's mother and her extended family are safe. In the aftermath, Teagan and Wyatt learn more about each other while trying to help solve the mystery. Later, another event makes the mystery even more puzzling.
The end of the story had me reading and ignoring everything and everyone until I knew what happened to several main characters. Anything more and I have to add "Spoiler Alert".
I thank the publisher and author for graciously providing me an ARC. All comments in this review are my own.
Tess Thompson does it again! A great ending to the Lanigan Family saga in Peregrine, Idaho. The author is great at creating characters who are flawed, but likable. I have enjoyed meeting the Lanigan Family throughout the "Blue Mountain" series, and meeting Teagan, the only daughter, did not disappoint. As she has aged and become a mother, Teagan has realized the importance of family, and has come home to reconcile with and live surrounded by hers. Teagan accepts that she may have to give up her career to care for her only son. She is surprised when a previous love, famous country singer Wyatt Black, seeks her out to re-kindle their love story. Wyatt has experienced his own life challenges and has realized how important Teagan is to him, and is ready and willing to love her son Chris as his own. Not just a romance, but a murder mystery thrown in the mix, this story is enjoyable from page one to the ending. Why Tess Thompson is not yet as well known as Nora Roberts, I will never know, but I will continue to read all her work, because I love her characters and worlds so much. I also really love that characters from previous series often cross over and appear in her newer series. It's always great to catch up with old friends! Thank you to the author and publisher for the opportunity to read an ARC. All the opinions expressed herein are my own.
Blue String is a captivating, small town story with relatable characters. I was immediately immersed in this emotional and suspenseful story and I also enjoyed Teagans large, interfering family.
Wyatt Black is the hottest thing in country music, but since there was a mass shooting at one of his concerts, he hasn’t been the same. Even though Wyatt has everything he has always dreamed of, he finds his life empty and meaningless. He is a shell of the man he was and is not sure how to move forward.
Wyatt and Teagan had a wild month together and then unexpectedly Teagan left. She knew Wyatt wasn’t the settling down type and left him before he broke her heart. Wyatt has never forgotten Teagan and decides to drive to Idaho to spend time with her and hopefully, try to put the past behind him.
Teagan is surprised when Wyatt shows up unannounced and it takes a while for her to learn she can trust him with her heart. Wyatt has a reputation as being wild and there have been many women in his past, so it is hard for Teagen to believe she can trust him.
Wyatt and Teagan make a great couple. They help each other learn they can trust their heart with another. You will enjoy this heartwarming story.
Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this book via Bend and Snap. The opinions expressed are my own.
Blue String by Tess Thompson Finally, the story of Teagan Lanigan. This is a beautifully written story of Teagan and Wyatt. Teagan, single mother and costume designer extraordinaire, and Wyatt Black, country singer superstar. These characters are genuine and real in their emotions. The scenery is described so wonderfully. I wish I lived in Peregrine, Idaho at the base of the Blue Mountain. Teagan moved back home so that she could raise her son, Chris, without the stresses and worries often associated with the “Hollywood scene. Her family was there. Chris would grow up with his uncles, aunts and cousins. He would have positive male role models. Teagan’s life was turned upside down when Wyatt shows up uninvited to her birthday party after hitting a lifetime low after a shooting at a concert. Teagan had left unexpectedly after a tryst with Wyatt. Wyatt never forgot her. And he was determined to win her back. He would prove himself worthy of her and Chris. The conversations are genuine. They are full of emotion. The characters are real. This is a story the needs to be told. Once again, Tess Thompson draws us into the small town romance. You will stay up reading, wrapped in the love of this story. Well done, Tess Thompson, well done!!!
This book was a wonderful read! The way Tess wrote this story about the Lanigan family is truly so amazing! This is story telling at it's best, the 4th installment of the Blue Mountain series. This is the story about Teagan Lanigan and Wyatt Black. It is a fast paced story that takes you places you hadn't imagined, from big city lives to a small country town Peregrine in Idaho. The author lets us follow the story and we discover the lovely characters of the story. It is about family and how this is important as a thread un rolling. This story pulls us through the difficult moments when someone you love goes through hard times. How Wyatt wants to find his way back to the woman of his heart. The characters end up in hardships, mystery and also crime scenes as a result of a celebration. This story has everything including family, friends and the important things in life. How to believe when you are in the darkest moments. All this string ties this family together in a wonderfully told story! How with hope faith and love this lovely family finds their way, their path to a happier future. I am so grateful to the author and publisher to have given me the chance to read and review this book. I enjoyed it very much and I highly recommend this book. Charlotte N
Wow I wasn't expecting that, loved the first book but this one is not far away. One thing Tess Thompson never disappoints is that every single book is a new surprise, some authors write the same old love stories just changing characters and location and a few bits here and there, and you get bored, but not this amazing lady!!! Sometimes you just have a love story, other times you also have a crime and suspense. And it's not always an happy ever after , well at least in Blue Midnight, we might think that Blythe was going to find a second chance with Finn only to find out that he was dead ( I actually cried 😢)... Love it , love when she brings other characters from other series, even if just when mentioned the name , loved the spiritual side of it ( it was different). When I start the book I was like, "wait that name sounds familiar " , or wait isn't that the same shooting that Lisa from Cliffside Bay was at!! 🤔 I always love her strong characters, how easily we can relate, Moonstone, we'll miss her. OK there is only one thing I didn't like, no epilogue... I love to have a glimpse into the happy ever after, or no mention of future books 😭🤔😢 But apart from that super recommended 😍
This is the first book I've read in this series and although it might have been good to have read the preceding books, I had no trouble following this book.
Wyatt is a country singer who experienced a mass shooting at one of his concerts. He's having a very tough time recovering from the trauma. He's also never forgotten Teagan and he wants to start a real relationship with her. She is understandably cautious because she has escaped the rush around, cut throat life to live near her family to raise her son in a loving, sheltered, and safe environment.
Wyatt shows up at Teagan's birthday party, eager to start a life with her. But she is not sure she wants what he does, nor is she sure that he will commit to the life she has chosen. Complicating things, there is a murder on the night of Teagan's party. As the family struggles to come to grips with the murder, another one takes place.
This is a lovely story about a man who is trying his darnedest to prove his love for the woman who is keeping him at arm's length. A few intimate moments, but I think almost every woman would enjoy them.
