I really wanna read the Creed series all over again, such an excellent series and so dear to me (belated not-really-a-review)
Update: reading this book and maybe the series all over again soon inshaAllah, I have lately realised that the emphasis of tawheed from the 'ulama only comes from a place of wisdom and true understanding and knowledge, because how can we truly obey Allah if we do not know Him 锓? How can we worship Him correctly, or fear and love Him 锓 as He deserves (though we will always have shortcomings). It's definitely worth a revisit imo.
"Man cannot know the necessity of this message (Islam), the necessity of freeing himself from the misguided ways in the darkness of which mankind is wandering, the necessity of steadfast, clear certainty in matters of 'aqeedah... until he has seen the vast extent of that misguidance, until he has wandered in that confusion of beliefs and concepts, philosophies and fables, thoughts and illusions, rituals and traditions, situations and circumstances, which Islam came and found controlling the human consciousness in all places; until he has understood the nature of the jumbled confusion, complexity and human additions that have affected what is left of the heavenly religions, which have become mixed with philosophy, idolatry and fables."
A very beautiful book to introduce muslims to Aqueedah , obviously, if you want something that goes into more details or you're more advanced in this , it might be a little basic or repetitive for you but overall its a very easy and understandable read. While reading it I have found myself reflecting on the Quran a lot and my relationship with Allah and I thought that the first chapter being about proving the existence of a Creator was really a good idea to introduce the book and the subject overall. while having faith issues it can really help you reflecting on it and motivate you to strengthen your relationship with Allah. Usually when i read translated books i find the author's style very dry but this translator had a very engaging style so I wasn't bored through my reading sessions. So if you an understandable book about aqeedah that focuses a lot on tawheed , reflections and uses stories to help you understand deeper subjects I would really recommend you to read it.
