WARNING: Do not read this book unless you have your significant other available or a vibrator with A LOT of batteries!!

**SPOILERS**

Oh my fu*k*ng gosh! How much sex can you get in one book??? Apparently a bloody lot!

I had been reading some really sweet romance novels lately and thought I would give my inner skank a break from the gushiness to have some sexy fun. That sure did happen however, there was so much sex even my inner skank blushed.

As a whole I enjoyed the book, it was sexy as hell, God damn HOT sex scenes, but just too damn many of them.

The story sorta felt like :wake up, sex, breakfast, sex, lunch, sex, go for a walk, sex, dinner, sex.

But yet the sex always seemed to be new. There was vaginal, anal, oral, sex with toys, sex with food, sex in public places, sex with people watching, a threesome and much, much, more.

I think if you take out all the sex scenes there would probably only be about 50 pages of actual storyline and the storyline in itself was quite predictable.

All in all it was a HOT HOT HOT read, Olivia Cunning is one talented sex writer but this book is definitely not for the faint of heart.

There is an additional video that I found that goes with this my review. Check out my full review at:

Well. This book had its moments but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Let’s see. The things that didn’t sit well with me:

Myrna. What a bitch. She’s been through a lot, I give her that, but then again that’s what shrinks are for. She keeps projecting her negative experiences to her “relationship or however she wants to call it, with Brian. The “you’re a whore, Myrna chant really got on my nerves from a certain point onwards. Myrna may be a human sexuality professor but she’s full of unresolved complexes and inhibitions. We got it.

And this takes me to the next thing I didn’t like: I wasn’t convinced by the way the two main characters hooked up. OK, he may be a famous rock star but he is piss drunk, ridiculing himself in the middle of a hotel bar. She’s a respected college professor who has just wrapped up a conference presentation. And what does she do? She invites him to her room mere minutes after he spends a considerable amount of time worshipping the porcelain god in the hotel’s public restrooms.

Another major issue was Brian considering Myrna special. I didn't see how she could be so special after all.

As regards sex. I get it. The author wanted to squeeze in as much of it as possible. This is erotica after all. But making your heroes horny all the time and have sex for hours and hours every day doesn’t leave you much space to develop them properly. That’s probably why Brian is a 28-year-old teenager (he falls in love with every single girl he has sex with) with trust issues because the girls he thinks he loves go on to sleep with the band’s hot frontman, Sed. Well, duh. That’s what happens when you fall for featherbrained groupies. And like a typical lovesick juvenile, he puts up with Myrna’s bitchy behaviour time and time again when he should have shown her the door after the first couple of days.

The sex itself was ok, though I didn’t see the need for that mediocre BDSM scene. It was lukewarm and clumsy and I could have done without it.

The whole “Brian’s parents are shallow has-beens who don’t support him enough emotionally situation. I have no words. A mild bitchslap from Myrna, the new girlfriend who they'd just met, led to more results than years of Brian’s efforts. Wow. She should change her name to Wonderwoman.

The threesome. I thought that at last, both Brian and Myrna could overcome their trust issues a little. They were having a threesome for hell’s sake. But no. None of that.

And then there was Myrna’s ex, Jeremy. I was already too fed up with her and that awful conduct of hers (she had just hung up on Brian, being indescribably rude) when that call from Jeremy came. Her reactions after that were so preposterous I seriously considered not finishing this. "Brian, I’m not calling you because I’m scared shitless, but because I don’t want you to come here", "Brian, I don’t want you to stay on the phone with me Oh well, just for a little bit" and so on. Make up your mind, Myrna. You can’t be a bitch one minute and all wishy-washy, boo-hoo, please-protect-me the next.

Then you have Brian, who takes the first plane to Kansas City to go save his damsel in distress and the first thing that crosses his mind when he sees another man holding her arm is that she’s cheating on him. I mean, enough already!

That last 10% of the book was straight downhill until it hit rock bottom with the exchange of the necessary I-love-yous in such a nonchalant and childish way, it made Myrna’s whole no-L-word and no-strings-attached mentality up to that point seem utterly ridiculous. The woman is in serious need of therapy. I mean, years and years. Plus Brian could use the time in between to grow up.

Backstage Pass is my first read by Olivia Cunning, and I enjoyed it immensely! I've clearly been missing out over here! Hooolllyyy shit!! This book is hot af!!! I'm serious, guys! Prudes need to step away from this one! You will be fanning yourself in multiple places and praying your kindle doesn't catch fire!

What did I love most about the book? I would have to say the hero, Brian Sinclair. He is a gorgeous rock star with a big heart, a thick cock, and magic fingers! What's not to love? I also adored the band and the relationship the band developed with Myrna. I can't wait to read more about each of them in the coming books!

Do I recommend Backstage Pass? Yes! Don't pick this one up if you want to read a touching love story, but if you're looking for something fun and dirty, one click this one now!! You won't be sorry!

I'll admit I started this book only with the intention to curb my curiosity about what I've read in recent reviews and comments. I've noticed people either love this book or they don't. I was prepared to fall among those readers who do not like this story because Iusually do not enjoy reading this type of erotica. I confess, my expectations were remarkably low. I neither expected nor was prepared for how fascinating, compelling, erotic, and, frankly, disturbing I foundBackstage Pass to be.

Although there was too much sex in this book (understatement of the century!) and at times the writing prose felt underdeveloped and stunted, the author did a great job giving the reader fun, endearing, and sexy characters; an intriguing plot; and a fairly realistic look at the lifestyle of a rock band. Their crass and seedy lifestyle fascinated, unsettled, and many times appalled me. Having said that, I still love so much about this book.

OK short and dirty, this book was okay, but, and I can't believe I'm going to say this "It has too much sex" OMG I know I can't believe I said that either. I loved me some sexy time in books and I don't mind heavy amounts of sex in books either. Damn but this book was almost all sex with a small sprinkling of weak plot. Sorry! I really wanted to like it, but I found myself bored and skipping over a lot of the sex. Oh well they can't all be winners.

5 stars Erotic Contemporary Romance

I love all kinds of music, including rock, but I’ve never been much of a concert groupie or band fan girl. Although my sister would probably call me a big fat liar and eagerly remind me of my closet New Kids On The Block phase as a teen. *blushes and hides of embarrassment*

But I’ve definitely had my fair share of hot celeb obsessions, including Robert Pattinson (I stalked him on the Internet for months before and after Twilight came out!), Brad Pitt (I watched Legends of the Fall countless times), Antonio Sabato Jr. (Jagger Cates on General Hospital was a long time crush), Jason Statham (Transporter...hello!), and Vin Diesel (‘cause his rock hard body, bald head, and tatts totally do it for me) to name a few. So, I can certainly understand the inclination to obsess over sexy rock star gods like the Sinners.

Backstage Pass totally kindled my Kindle and nearly set it on fire...it’s that freakin HOT! I mean seriously...YOWZA! It’s got a little bit of everything in the smutty fun, kink rainbow, including oral, anal, sex toys, light bondage, exhibitionism/voyeurism, ménage, mild m/m action (kissing and fondling), and oh yeah, vanilla vaginal sex, too. And when Brian felt music inspiration during sex and got all trancelike? Whew...it was extremely erotic.

It’s definitely a 5+ star read in terms of its explosive hotness, but I didn’t really love the main characters. Brian was a sweet, sexy beta hero and a “Beast in the bedroom, but his neediness got a little annoying at times. Myrna’s mix of stuffy, Ms. Uptight Professor on the outside and inner slut queen was funny, but her insecurity was irritating. I actually preferred the secondary characters, particularly goofy drummer Eric Sticks and sweet, sexy, bisexual guitarist Trey Mills. I’m sooo looking forward to Trey’s story, Double Time, but it’s the last book in the series and doesn’t come out until Oct2012...wahhh.

Even though I didn’t care all that much for the lead H/h, it’s still a solid 5 star read for the smutty good, scorching HOTness! And I’m really looking forward to the rest of the series! Lead singer Sedric Lionheart came across as a narcissistic, sex addicted egomaniac (you know, a rock star sex god?), so I’m anxious for his story that’s up next in .

I spent most of my time reading this book looking like this:

I wanted to look away but I couldn't make myself.

Myrna had many lessons in sex ed that I never knew existed. These are things that weren't taught to us in sex ed classes in high school... description

Review re-posted on

I got this book for review, and it turns out it’s one I’ve read before! It looks like Sourcebooks is repackaging this series. If you like rockstar romance, I want to say this is the book that sort of kicked off that subgenre a few years ago.

I also want to say that once I realized I’d read this, I didn’t re-read it, so I”m not sure how it would hold up to my tastes now, 5 years later. Sometimes books really hold up well, sometimes they don’t. But here’s my original review from 2011 that was posted on the old Demon Lover’s Books & More site.

Original Review:

I won this is a goodreads first reads contest! Woot!! Happy dance!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw all the wonderful 4 and 5 star reviews for this book as it's not my normal fare.

Let me tell you what to expect from this book:
*expect super hot, steamy, and naughty sex in the first few pages.
*expect a real plot, you heard me, A REAL PLOT
*expect a direct look into the lives of the Sinners
*expect more hot, steamy, naughty sex
*expect humor, that's right, this steamy bit of naughty goodness has some of the best scenes. My favorite (what does this say about me? lol) is where Brian and Myrna haven't seen each other in about a month, and they can't make it out of the airport without a steamy sex scene in a bathroom stall...interrupted by the guy in the next stall farting. OMGsh I laughed so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks!

Another awesome example is that due to the random bathroom guy, they couldn't finish so Myrna gave Brian a hand *wink wink* on the ride back to his tour bus, but used his lucky hat to cover what she was doing. His lucky hat became his get lucky hat and he gave it to his buddy....ummm...without wiping it out! You know that scene in There's Something About Mary, where she asks "Is that hair gel?" and uses it on her bangs? That is what I though of everytime I saw a scene with the lucky hat!

So, now you've seen the big points in this book that I would never had though to see in an erotic romance.

Moving on to the plot-quick review: Myrna is a human sexuality professor who loves the Sinners. Brian is the very drunk guitarist who she has a crush on. Myr wants a one night stand with her crush, Brian falls in love. How on earth will this work out?

The only thing I didn't like was the threesome scene. I don't mean the way it was written because I think it was soo sexy, trust me, Olivia Cunning can write. It's just that it was so far into the book-it was towards end, by that point we know Brian and Myrna are in love and it ruined it for me. I expect that in the beginning and middle where it's still new and has less chance of ruining a relationship. But I also know it will not bother most readers, it really is just me. However I think we needed the revelation that happens during that scene-I'm hoping some of those loose ends will be used throughout the series.

I wish more had been done with the abusive ex husband. I loved the end scene with the taser (evil grin here-but I won't spoil it for anyone else).

The fact that Brian and Myrna hit it off so quickly was awesome, but I felt that the little things like Myrna cooking for the guys, and helping out Brian's relationship with his dad- So many touching scenes really made me feel that there was more than just smokin' hot sex between them.

I can't wait for the next book and I can't wait to see what happens now that Myrna knows . Olivia Cunning is an amazing new talent in the erotic romance field and I will read anything she writes.

I shit you not!
When I decided to start reading this story I had Avenged Sevenfold’s album “Nightmare playing softly in the background

Really Kellie?? who are you shitting??.. It wasn’t playing softly, who plays Metal softly? It was LOUD.. but it was still in the background! Alright

So anyway!!
While I was reading away in this book and falling for Brian, Sed, Trey, Jace and Eric I looked up some other reviews to see if anyone had any photos of how they envisioned Brian As I couldn’t quite picture him..
as soon as I read that Sed wore Mirrored glasses and had DIMPLES!
(Goddamn Dimples get me every time!)
he was M.Shadows in my mind!(YES I'm aware that M.Shadows was my Travis Maddox but come on I've got a crush ok?! LOL)

So I was super super psyched when I saw an interview with Olivia Cunning when she said that she had the idea for this series at an Avenged Sevenfold concert!! Be still my heart I think I love her!

I got the original idea for Backstage Pass at an Avenged Sevenfold concert (no, not because I had a backstage pass bummer), so it’s only fitting that they were the original inspiration for Sinners. Once I got writing, I deviated from the real life band, especially personality-wise, as the fictional characters became more “real to me than real-life rock stars, but yes, they were the original inspiration. Especially, Synyster Gates, M. Shadows and Zacky Vengeance. Yum-to-the-um. Full interview can be found @

Then later it was mentioned Brian wears guyliner he become Jared to me

Anyway!

THE STORY

Myrna is sex psychiatrist, while being at a seminar she see’s the Sinners drinking in the bar.
She has long used Brian “Master Sinclair’s riff’s while teaching. She knows this is the one chance she has to meet them she jumps at it. She doesn’t quite fit n with her stuffy suit and being 35 while they are all in their mid to late 20’s.

Turns out she was wrong, they all want a piece of her, but she only has eyes for Brian.

Brian is a hopeless romantic and is heartbroken and blind drunk after his latest girlfriend Angie, cheated on him with the lead singer Sed.

(They all seem to cheat on him with Sed)

She tells Brian her room number anyway and says she has what he needs.
He follows up and finds her room, but she just takes care of him, giving him Tylenol and vitamins for his hangover.

But in the morning

Brian finds that Myrna is his Muse! While they “make love he hears the music, everytime!

One time he can’t find a pen so writes on her!

“I'd cuddle with you, but I don't want to sweat off my riff and solo

They spend A LONG LONG LONG LONG TIME “writing music *wink wink*

Brian knows that she is the one for him. Myrna has had a bad divorce and doesn’t want anything more than the weekend they have, before he goes back on tour.

At the end of the weekend Myrna, gets in her car and drives away..

Leaving Brian at the tour bus without her number or even her surname

Brian’s best friend Trey is sick of Brian moping around and tracks Myrna down for him.

Brian finally gets the courage to call and convinces her to come and see him, even paying for her flights.

When Myrna arrives she has a proposition for the band

She has been given a grant for 10k to study groupies

She’ll continue to “have a good time with Brian so he can write music, if they let her tour with them and interview their groupies for her study.

Of course the band agrees and the story goes from there.

Sex, friendships, Cherry obsessions, shopping trips, bromances, flanter, home cooked meals, tour bus scandals, threesomes, stalkers, sec, groupies, suck circles, sex, beautiful music, sex, some more sex.
And a sweet HEA

MY THOUGHTS

HOLY SCREAMING MUTIPLE ORGASMS BATMAN!!

What a wild fucking ride!!!

When you think of Rock bands what do you think of?

SEX, DRUGS, ROCK N ROLL, TATTOO’S, LEATHER, PIERCINGS?

Well check all that off!
It’s DEF what we get!! Well not the drugs part.. A lot of Alcohol does that count?
I am totally 100% a Sinners Groupie!
It’s SMUT at it’s best! With Tattoo’d, pierced metal gods
Yeah there was a bit of plot in between the sex scenes, Wasn't the strongest plot and didn’t really cover the Ex all that much but I still loved it.

Brian being a hopeless romantic broke my heart! I loved him!

I loved Myrna and how she made Brian feel! I loved how it was from several different POV’s.

I can’t wait to get into Sed, Trey ESPECIALLY THOSE TWO’S! heads, Jace and Eric as well!

Who am I kidding I can’t wait to read the rest of the series..

As a metal/emo/rock n roll loving chick this whole story was right up my alley.

The music talk, the feeling that I was actually at their concert! Also as a MASSIVE A7X fan I pretty much envisioned them while on stage!

The thing that annoyed me most was the damn errors! Soo many!I mean SHITLOADS!

I am still going to give it 5 stars though

Off to demolish Sed’s story now!

I am officially a Sinners Fan Girl

I recommend this hot sexy read to those of you who like reading novels with a Smutty Bad Boy Rock band, and have no problem with all the crazy sex that happens more often than it should. LOLZ! Hey,no complaints here I love it!

Brian aka Master Sinclair is the Lead Guitarist & song writer for the Sinners rock group. He meets Myrna a college professor who specializes in Human Sexuality. How they meet is the funniest story ever, but you gotta read it yourself to find out. My lips are sealed.LOLZ!I loved how their story progressed from a Lust to Love relationship it was so sweet.

As for the Smutty Rock Band members, they're so feckin awesome I loved their relationships towards one another they show the true meaning of friends. No matter how angry they get, deep down they're the best of friends and no one can tear them apart. I loved everyone of the members, whether they were on stage or off stage. I don't have any favorites at the moment, but if I had to choose I would pick Jace! *squealing like a fan girl* lolz! I'll tag along any day as a fan girl/groupie if he uses his special suitcase of bad boy toys on me*squeals* ahahahahaha........

I can hardly wait to enjoy and read about all the other band members in the upcoming books.Knowing that finally they'll settle down with that one person that will change their lives is something I really look forward to reading.I Loved this series enough to sit around and patiently wait for the next release.

Thank You So Much to a really good friend of mine who bought me this novel for Christmas,it was the best gift this year!

Maybe if I read this a few years ago I might have enjoyed it more.

I like sex in my books but sometimes it can be overkill.

I think our reading preferences evolve over time and mine definitely have. Need something with more of a storyline in my books.

Not a bad read. Not sure if I will continue with the series.

OK, I'm HOOKED. I am officially a Sinners groupie. Oh Brian and his magical fingers, he can pluck my strings anytime. Not only is he a musical genius, he is gorgeous, a one-woman man, and a hopeless romantic, what's not to love?! Of course, the book was dripping with sensuality, no pun intended, but it was a great story. Five young men achieving fame and fortune, and and having to deal with the overwhelming enormity of it all. No sense of normalcy, until Myrna comes into their lives. She falls for Brian and they all fall for her. Usually it's the men in the books that are older, but in this case Myrna is 7 years older than Brian, and I liked that. A lot of humorous moments, especially when they all decide to go grocery shopping. Too funny!

I'm looking forward to the next book. I didn't like Sed in the beginning, but by the end of the book he was tugging at my heart. Dying to see what Olivia Cunning has in store for him. I'm holding my lighter up for the encore!!

This book ROCKED!

First off I must say that if by chance that Olivia Cunning is reading this review, Thank You for writing such a fantastic story. I can hardly wait for the rest of this series to come out and will be reading Rock Hard as soon as it's released.

Second off Thank You Shawna, if you would not have been reading this book I would more than likely have missed out on this one.

This is by far the best Rock and Roll romance I've ever read. I absolutely adored everything about the hero Brian. This book was a book made of my wildest fantasy's. The love/sex scenes in this book alone deserve 5 stars and there was MANY of them. This is an erotic romance but what I find a lot in erotic romances with tons of sex in them is that as the book moves along the sex scenes all start sounding the same. That was not true with this book. The loves scenes were fresh and well thought out not to mention SCORCHING. I loved how the story explained all the characters in this book and their relationships with each other. That really wetted my appetite for MORE book's and I am happy knowing that the other members of this series are getting their stories too. The ending was so darn good that I had goose bumps all over my body and tears of happiness in my eye's.

This book read like a Lorelei James book but with Rock Stars instead of Cowboy's. So I recommend this book to all those LJ fans out there.

Umm, well...I, uh,

Here's the bright side. I always have fun with the br girls, and this was an entertaining br. I'm glad I now know who the famous Sinners are. The best part was my friend Ada, (well, hopefully we're still friends, Lol) introduced me to a hot tattooed singer with awesome biceps and dimples. Yum, I got a little distracted watching videos of him,

I'm going to let my other favorite tattooed musician sum up my feelings for the first book in the series,

This is an easy review to write, Myrna meets the band and decides she likes Brian the best. They then immediately start a fuck-a-thon that lasts the rest of the book. I will give this author points for humor, because while I didn't think the sex scenes were hot, I did think they were funnier than shit. I laughed so hard a couple of times I had tears in my eyes. The ass licking, the sucker penetration, the threesomes. I would recommend this book to friends who like really silly books with tons of over the top dirty sex. Hey, there's nothing wrong with that, it's just not my cuppa. I don't have a problem with dirty sex, I just need more than that. Lucky me, I bought the box set, so hopefully I will bond more with the next book! (I'm pretty sure Ami encouraged me to do that as revenge for making her read Forked.)

Oh, this book was so far up my alley, I don't even know where to begin. Olivia had me from the dedication, and she didn't let go. I loved Myrna from the moment I realized she recognizes the seething sexuality inherent in heavy metal music--something I think a lot of people don't get (and that's a shame, because it's an absolute goldmine). There might have been a couple of moments I wanted to smack her for her stubbornness, but that's only because I was madly in love with Brian and wanted to yell at her to hurry up and figure out that she was, too. :-) Ohh, Brian. He was smart, funny, sweet and indescribably hot.

And who hasn't had this fantasy? It's something I think we can all relate to, but what made this book so awesome was that we see it unfold in a way that's real and, perhaps most importantly, believable. I was in heaven reading it. I'd also be remiss in not mentioning how hot it is. It isn't just hot, it's nuclear.

But I have to say, as much as I love those sinfully sexy shredders, I go completely gaga for growling frontmen. So it should go without saying that I cannot WAIT for Sed's book! I'm looking forward to many, many more from Olivia.

Rock on... \m/

As smut goes, this was pretty fun porn. All about a metal band that tours the country to do shows and hump everything within a 10 mile radius.

And, I had to wonder: why would anyone want this as their life? It didn't seem glamorous, it seemed kind of depressing. Maybe it's the female in me or something, but I can't imagine anything worse than traveling in a filthy bus for months at a time. Ick! I can barely handle the smell after a 6 hour road trip with my family. What happens on a molecular level that brings about the funky smell of teenage and 20ish something boys?

"Vacation" was really a documentary about what happens to parents stuck in the car with their kids for too long.

So, in this book, we have Myrna (nice name, grandma!), who is a college professor of Human Sexuality, and 35 yrs old. She has a one-night stand with Brian, the lead guitarist of the metal band, romantic boy, and 28 yrs old. He falls in love with her and they have a lot of sex. That's really the plot.

It was still some pretty good smut. There was a LOT of sex. Obviously. But, the best part was all of the band members who were each awesome in their own way. I'm going to continue reading more of this series. I need to do more investigating into the world of rock stars. For science.

Holy Super Sexy Series Batman!!
If you're looking for your next guilty pleasure, look no further!
Rock Stars + Professor of Human Sexuality + a bit of romance + a whole lot of sex = Do not attempt to read this book in public.

Let's get serious for a second... There is very little that is "serious" about this book. It is not a literary masterpiece; it is a seriously entertaining piece of erotica, so lets not get our panties in a twist. Sit back and enjoy it.

I'd say that the unofficial breakdown is:
80% Super Steamy Sex
8% Rock Star Antics
7% Witty Dialogue
5% Passable Plot Line

I was hooked from the moment Brian began "Hearing Music" during sex... And it was because he began writing the score on Mynra. How hot is that? Who doesn't reserve a tiny part of their brain for fantasizing about being someone's muse?
“I'd cuddle with you, but I don't want to sweat off my riff and solo."
She laughed. "That must be the first time that excuse has ever been used to avoid after-sex cuddling.

This book could easily work as a stand alone work, but it is part of the Sinners on Tour series. I downloaded the second book in the series immediately - and I think that speaks more about my enjoyment of the book than any review could.

As a Side Note: My husband enjoyed the book... Not that he read it, but he appreciated the effects of it. ;)

WOW - I think this is the most "sex-full" book I've read.

BP is Olivia Cunning's first book covering the Rock Band "Sinners". The band consist of the following members: Brian Sinclair, lead guitarist; Sedric Lionheart, lead singer; Trey Mills, rhythm guitarist; Eric Sticks, drummer; and Jace Seymour, bass.

5 stars for erotic - of the 378 pages, most are filled with hot-steamy sex scenes -- vanilla-bondage-ménage-anal-voyeurism-mild m/m- sex in public-oral-sex toys-and I'm sure I've left some out. For me, this book was more erotic fiction than an actual romance story. The sex was more dominant than the romantic aspect. And for hot, simmering sex, this book is a 5!

2.5 for the romantic element of the story. The story’s main focus is on the relationship of lead guitarist Brian Sinclair and Dr. Myrna Evans, professor of Human Sexuality. The first time Myrna meets Brian it was instant animal attraction on her part, primal desire. And even though Brian is drunk, within the first 24 hours of their meeting, we have our first sizzling sex scene. These two were hot for each other and there followed the theme of this book. There was romance,, but I felt it was more the animal attraction, primal desire. I just wasn’t feeling the romance with this one.

Coming Soon - there will be an epilog to this book - Appetite for Seduction - and may be purchased from Olivia Cunning's website at for $.99 cents. It takes place 2 days after Backstage Pass and overlaps in time (but not content) with Rock Hard.

This is a very popular book and there is even a website with bios, pictures and other information about this fictional band.

You can tell I read a lot of romance and not much erotica, because when our heroine Myrna meets sexy rockstar Brian and all his sexily-named band-mates, my first innocent thought was, “Gee, I bet all those other guys are going to have their own stories later, not “Woo hoo, I bet all those other guys are also going to get it on with Myrna! As it turned out, the focus is on the primary relationship with Brian, though a couple of the other guys do come into the story, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

This was a kink smorgasbord, with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Bondage, menage, anal, voyeurism, m/m, sex in public... I may have forgotten a few things. It was like the old saying about the weather -- if you don’t like the sex, just wait a few minutes. It was also a weirdly charming look at wild but lovable rockers on tour, if you could get past the nasty way they treat their groupies (including Brian.) There was a lot of fantasy going on, and if I have to ignore dubious hygiene, dubious safe sex and some “don’t try this at home moments, I don’t see why that one aspect has to be so realistic.

Also on the negative side, I didn’t buy Myrna being so hung up on her ex-husband’s nasty namecalling that she expects Brian to think she’s a whore for enjoying sex. She’s a professor of human sexuality for crying out loud; even if she was affected on an emotional level she should have known on an intellectual level that it was all nonsense.

But overall, this was a very fun read, even for someone like me who prefers romances that don’t have sex scenes on 95% of the pages.

Go into it like you'd go into a one night stand...don't expect anything more than some good and sexy times. Deep, meaningful, and lasting isn't in the cards. But it was fun while it lasted! Sed has me riled...I bet he's going to be lots of fun!

Hot, hot, hot read. But how can you go wrong with rock stars and sex!

Brian is a hero I'd let write music on my body any time.

Adult review for erotic content

3.5 stars. Second Read 06/12 with the SM girls
"Nnggnn," she groaned.

Nnggnn, indeed.

I keep wavering between a 3 and a 4 star rating. For erotica, it's pretty consistent with the amount of sexual scenarios, which I know did shock some people who thought this book was contemporary romance. Don't be fooled. There's going to be acts of voyeurism, light BDSM, threesomes, anal play, etc. packed into this book. It is a story about rock stars and their lifestyle. If you've ever watched an episode of Behind the Music you'll get the idea.

As an erotica, I'd give it a solid 4 star. As a read for the sake of entertainment, I'd stick closer to 3 or 3.25ish. The plot does take a while to develop but I loved going back on tour with the sinners and remembering where and why I fell in love with Brian (and Trey) in the first place.

Myrna never really did it for me. I was surprised to find that she didn't annoy me on the second read but I didn't find myself gaining any sort of appreciation for her either. She was just a vehicle used by me in order to gain access to Brian. Maybe I'm a true Sinners groupie, then.

There were a few moments that forced me to have to remember to suspend belief because it is erotica, after all. Although, I can buy into multiple orgasms faster than I can buy into kissing with morning breath! Don't read this unless you've read the book : I remember thinking the first time I read the book that it was bizarre how Brian would write music during sex. During the second read I really enjoyed these scenes.

In my original review, I pointed out how I could never date a rock star and this hasn't changed. It's crazy how psycho the groupies get. It would be way too hard to be with someone who is adored and stalked by so many people.
"Of course not. But this is Sed Lionheart we're talking about here. You know? If he stepped in dog shit, I'd lick it off his boot if he asked me to.

I don't doubt there are groupies like this out there. I'll have to say that chasing the dream of being with a rock star is much more safe in a book.

Original Review March 2011

It was a fun book - I got to go on tour with a rock band by proxy without all of the drama of having to do it for real. There is no way I could date a rock star, no matter how much he 'loved' me. Nope. Couldn't do it. I am just not that trusting to think I could leave any person alone with molesting fans and not have the man's defenses worn down at one point.

What did that have to do with the book? Absolutely nothing...that was just me thinking to myself.

Steamy this book was (Yoda much?). I was glad to see a story develop after a start pretty much focused on only sex (yep...erotica. check.). Surprisingly, I wanted to know more about the backstory of some of the other band members, which means yep - guess I'll be reading more to the series.

Second Read...

Love this book!!!! Talk about steamy!!! Loving me some Brian!!!

Just finished this book for a second time with my Smut Monday friends. I enjoyed it every bit as much the second time as the first. I do wish there was more of a storyline and not as much of the sex but I still enjoyed it. I love Brian he is one sexy bad boy and Myrna was great. They had a sweet love story. I will say this time around I have to agree with some of my smut Monday friends in that With this being said I am ready for book three. I can't wait to read about Trey and his happily ever after.

First Read....

What a great book. I really enjoyed this story however I wish there was a little more of a storyline with the steaminess of this book. Don't get me wrong I am all about the spice however I wish there was more dialogue and learning about these characters. If only it were a bit more complex.

I read this book with a given nudge from one of my goodreads friends. There wasn't much of a synopsis so I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I would say if you are intrigued by the rock star idea and a woman who just happens to be ordinary and meets the band to go for it. It is a fun story. There is a lot of fun moments and plenty of steamy scenes. I will be continuing on with this series as I can't wait to read each band members story.

3.5 Stars

Now THAT was pure, smutty fun! :D

The review is still rattling around in my head, but I have to get a few things out. Haha

1. Brian and Myrna’s story never touched my heart, but I’m okay with that really. Nothing wrong with fun and sex! Lots & lots of sex! :) Brian was sweet and funny, but I had no feelings for Myrna. *shrugs* Well she did irritate me at the end with this--

2. The only time this story touched my heart was at the end with a scene and revelation involving Trey. You know what scene. Haha…Do I really need to use a spoiler. ;) He touched my heart with true overwhelming sadness. I’m not sure if that scene held more of a powerful punch for me because Trey was my guy from the start or if it spoke to everyone, but it broke my heart. Hopefully Trey’s story will address it more because man was it ever dropped here!

3. I now have one hell of a cherry sucker addiction! :D With my ever present summer slushie obsession, I will be riding on one long sugar high all summer!

Anywho…I rambled once again!

Thanks for another fun, sexy ride, Ladies! You guys always make me smile! :)

A scorching hot erotica with a pretty good story too. I'll admit I skimmed over some of the sex scenes as not everything in this book is my 'thing', but overall this was a great romantic/erotica read with two wonderful lead characters that made me laugh so many times.

Brian really fit the mold of a rocker. He was more of a lover than a fighter kind of guy, and his charm and devotion to Myrna was hot. Although sometimes he was bit too 'beta' for my tastes (did he really say 'pwease'?) he did fit perfectly in the context of this story. Myrna is a closet rocker chick who dresses in prim suits, she has a PhD in sexual psychology, and is even a few years older than Brian. When he meets her its instant attraction, and he quickly realizes she is quite possibly his muse.

In my limited experience, it's a rare for an erotica book to have both a great story and sizzling hot sex scenes that don't feel cheesy or repetitive, but Olivia Cunning really pulled it off.
