As a born and raised Alabamian, I’m confident I wouldn’t be surprised at all to come across some little backwoods town called Reedsville that has a small skyscraper lol. It is truly just that bizarre down here, and for me that’s a redeeming quality of the state. I’m now convinced I need to read this as it’s not often I find stories set in the Deep South that captures that bizarreness about it that I adore. But I’m also going to ask around about any random skyscrapers in the middle of nowhere.
