This one is probably on par with the first book. It was a simply sweet story. My biggest issue was that it was way too long. Both stories were over 600 pages of not a lot of significance. While it was an enjoyable story, there was not enough substance to warrant it being so long.

I did like the characters separately but sometimes it felt like Verity was an afterthought. Specifically with AJ. To me, it felt like he was with her only because Griff was or as a power move. He could never enjoy a moment with her without mentioning Griff. He never even said I love you directly to her. It was always either “We love you or “you too like an afterthought after telling Griff he loved him. I can understand how difficult it is to keep everything balanced with so many relationships but personally, it’s the most important part in a why-choose or omegaverse. For the most part, it did feel balanced with all the relationships getting attention which I appreciate, but if there was ever a relationship lacking, it was always Verity.

 Omegaverse
 MMFMM
 Female alpha
 Hockey
 2 male omegas
This is part of this duet!

This book follows right where book one left off! I was so thankful Jane gave us a mild cliffhanger in the first book. But waiting for the second was so hard after where things left with Grif and Verity! And of them both battling things individually as well.

This duet was very different than any omegaverse I had ever read. And Jane did an incredible job! I was so intrigued when I found out it was a female alpha and 2 male omegas. And if you're intrigued too, I'm encouraging you to pick this book up! Especially if you've never read an omegaverse with a female alpha! Verity was PERFECT. She was so sweet and gentle. And loved watching her finally lean into her instincts as an alpha. In the first book, we watch her war with her feelings on being part of this pack. But watching it all come together was so well done.

And this PACKKKKK!!! I loved them all so much!

So I'm giving this book the same rating as Part one but I gotta admit, I liked it less/was more annoyed.
It just takes certain things for me to give a book only 1 or 2 stars and that threshold wasn't reached here, thankfully.

What I liked- We got a bit of the pack as a whole, some big conversations that needed to be had were finally had, Jonas eased up on Verity in terms of holding her to certain Alpha standards and AJ got his head out of his a** and discovered that he and Verity actually got along well.
Coming from someone with a chronic illness, I loved the fact that Verity was a stroke survivor and had physical disabilities bc representation of all kind matters. At times those disabilities seemed forgotten for convenience sake, but its hard to accurately write how something impairs daily life if you haven't had to live with it yourself, so I applaud the author for doing so anyway.

What I did Not like- I kind of feel like Verity was an after thought in situations where she shouldn't have been and I think this came from the fact that the Pack had a lot of relationships that lived separate from each other. AJ was possessive of Grif. Jonas was less possessive of Dean but that was still his Omega. Griff and Dean had their strong bond and then we had Verity who collected them all but then was tasked with balancing all 4 of them. This meant that at times there were territorial issues or rules that just felt kind of wrong to me, it got better towards the end but I don't think a lot of it was ever properly resolved or dealt with. I likely felt this way because so much of the book was steamy scenes that we didn't get much of the pack relationship part and what we did get felt repetitive. I found myself annoyed in how Verity was treated, how the pack felt so disjointed for the half of the heat, and the more AJ called Griff "Boo-Boo" the more I hated it 😅

I'm glad I finished the book, I just wish there was more of the pack caring for Verity in a way that didn't immediately lead to sex or haf more relationship development in general bc despite being over 500 pages I was taken by suprise when some "I love yous" were thrown around because it didn't feel developed at all to that point.

Maybe it's my mood, but I do wish I was able to enjoy this book as much as I had hoped for.

As a side note: throughout both books it felt like I was missing info in regards to Veritys family background. It felt like I had missed a book, like maybe Grace & her packs story was a separate interconnected standalone that explained eveything more in depth and I was reading things out of order but that doesn't seem to be the case so that was a bit frustrating.

I want to love this book but barely enjoyed it

This duet has so much potential but in the long run I barely enjoyed reading it. I liked the base storyline. I liked some of the various plot threads. I mostly loved the main characters and liked most of the side characters. The editing is excellent as far as there being no typos or grammatic stumbles. But it was still not fun to read with two exceptions (we'll come back to them).

Unfortunately the author made this story excessively complicated, ridiculously repetitive and so flipping long. What should have been one really amazing 300-400 page book was dragged out into two books with I think over 600 pages each. The pacing was unsteady; tons of events happened on top of each other and then we got pages of silly extraneous details and no plot progression. Haha, flour boy, how bout you tell that joke a few more times while the antagonist is left running amok a few more chapters?

The author seems to just shoehorn stuff in, regardless of necessity or interest value, and is not very consistent with the details. It feels like there should be an entire series about Grace but instead we get vague bits and pieces of her story stuffed into Verity's soliloquies instead. We are told the siblings have only known Grace for about 2 years despite earlier hints of growing up together and later comments about childhood memories like building the potato launchers. It feels like a liar trying to correct their slip ups and really just showing their own lack of continuity instead. Less focus on Grace and more movement in Verity's story would have prevented the discrepancies being added in the first place.

The shmexy time was a terrible combination of poorly timed, physically inconceivable setups (standing side by side for DVP? How are you standing side by side into the same slot????), uncomfortable interactions between various character mixes, and an overall contrived feeling. It reads more like the author is trying to capitalize on shmexy readers favorite tropes and just keeps forcing her characters into situations that don't fit their personalities, and making the scenarios awkward. Yup, it's an erotic novel, which I enjoy reading usually, but calm it down and focus on scenes that make sense for the characters and basic rules of physics.

The lack of communication skills and ignorance about prioritizing said communication makes me physically uncomfortable and slightly violent. With the exception of Jonas, the guys are frequently exceptionally childish, selfish in some ways and obliviously self-centered (not maliciously, just completely oblivious to their impacts).

Compounding poor communication and poor timing together, add a dash of poor listening and situational awareness to get one of the most frustratingly messy scenes I have ever read. Reading the aftermath of Grif's argument with Verity and subsequent spiral, which originated in his communication failures to begin with, was physically painful. I wanted to scream at the idiots to focus and hit them with their own hokey sticks to beat them apart and into action. Dean was horrifyingly oblivious and childish and used the situation to get his own way. Jonas was oblivious, lacked any situational awareness and might as well have had noise cancelling headphones on for all the attention he paid to AJs action planning. This is oddly the only time in the books that I liked AJ at all and disliked Jonas in return. It was several pages of uncomfortable reading because any tiny bit of priorities would have made all of it avoidable.

The fun exceptions are perhaps the most grievous error by the author because they do not belong to the main characters at all. The jokes about Grace with the forks, Spencer buying things to make himself happy or others uncomfortable and just Mercy on every page she graces are all insanely enjoyable. 1) let the girl have her stabby time because it was always deserved by her targets. 2) if you have stupid amounts of money you 100% can buy what you can afford to make yourself happy, even if that happiness comes from discomforting an antagonist or three. Go buy you a hockey team and make those other owners snivel. 3) be the chaos when you can but steer that boat when you're needed.

This was work

Sometimes less is more and when it comes to this duet, it needed So Much Less. I, the eternal Just Finish The Book It Might Get Better optimist, almost chose to DNF so many times. I don't think anything happened to move the plot along for almost half the book, so maybe 300 pages in? The duet should have been edited down to a fifth of its length. There were soooo many pages of nothing happening except extremely cringy sex (one of the pack members refers to her breasts as boobies whenever he even thinks about them). Some of the fully adult characters read like petulant teenagers. There were power dynamics within the pack that, paired with the MFC's known history, were very problematic.
The author took liberties with details of the omegaverse without explaining things, so details never made sense.
Backstory important to understanding the characters would be mentioned vaguely early in the first book and only given a brief paragraph of explanation in the last half of the second book.
Some things just didn't make sense or were written out of order.
I saw this duet described as Emily Rath but in the omegaverse. That's an insult to Emily Rath. This is a cadaverously poor attempt at imitation, down to the book cover.

Lovely ending to Verity's story!

It was easy to read, the story has good conclusions to each one but I belive the peak of it was too far from the ending, like around 60% of the book had a big intensity peak, and eventhough what happens after was also interesting, I believe it went by more unapreciated because my head got stuck in that peak.
Otherwise I loved it!

This book picked up right at the cliffy from book 1. Thank goodness because i needed answers asap!! This book filled in all the gaps we needed from book 1. Each "couple " had their moments and they were absolutely perfect, every individual brought something different to the pack and they all found their place with our FMC. I loved this duet so much!!!

I loved the first book, I truly did, but this second book is too much filler for very little pay off. I felt like NOTHING happened the entire first half of this book. We know since book 1 who is causing Verity trouble, but it takes til you’re over 50% in to confirm. Then at this point you don’t even want to keep reading because you know it’s just 50% of a whole book just to get to Grif’s heat and Verity bondings. All things you KNOW will happen, so not really spoilers but takes WAY TOO LONG to happen. This could truly be one book without all the unnecessary filler, which was basically this whole book. Filler.

The spice was spicy and well written, and I really liked the characters. This just was too dragged out.

Warning: this is a book 2 of a duet. If you haven’t read the first book I encourage you to do so. Please beware that this might contain spoilers if you haven’t read the first book.

Holy smokes was this another crazy ride. I have to say this book just created my favourite k!nk shame insult in bed, to the point where I was trying to read this in public and failing because I didn’t wanna be judged for reading a book where the guy says she’s his “little c*m dumpster. So that was an adventure. Shame on me for reading Omegaverse stuff in public, I should have known better.

In “Finding the Forward Part 2 we find Grif, Dean, and Verity right after the cliffhanger. Grif is starting to spiral after spending so much time suppressing what he really is and though Grif has to face the consequences physically and also professionally, the pack helps him with that journey.

In this second part, I found that it focused a lot on Verity’s relationship with Jonas and especially AJ. AJ in the first book really disliked Verity and it takes him a while to get used to her but in this second book he realises that while his love for Grif will never end, he has also found a place in his heart for Verity. AJ still deals with issues of jealousy and possessiveness around Grif, but with Jona’s help, he learns to slowly comprehend that Grif also needs Verity and they establish boundaries and personal space.

Jonas on the other hand has risen more to a pack leader in a way. He is the one with the cold head, he is the mature one, the one who finds something in everyone to keep the pack together in times of crisis. His relationship with Mercy is also adorable. In the first book, he is very in control, in a more fetich way, but here he rises above all. He is still in control but he also learns how to control that side. He understands when Verity needs to see Grif and while AJ grunts on that decision, he explains why he needs to allow Verity in.

Grif and Verity remain very much in love but both still have their issues especially professionally. Grif’s career is on the line and Verity’s research is completely destroyed so they have to face in this second part a way to keep doing what makes them happy while keeping the pack together. Verity and Dean don’t have a lot of screen time, mostly by the end, but since they had so much in the first one I understand the need to develop the relationship between AJ and Verity. They find a common ground and their scenes are incredibly hot.

Speaking of hot scenes, one of the tropes is a surprise heat scene, which thank the Lords takes place in a lot of chapters and I was a happy clam. I cannot even imagine the last time I’ve read such hot and intense scenes. I cannot even call it smut because it would be a disservice, I think Marquis de Sade is a very happy pile of bones right now with those surprise heat scenes because damn it was sexy and creative!

“Finding the Forward Part 2 explores the adventure towards the happy ending of Verity and her pack. They face challenges and as they say in the book, they do not let the a**holes win! Together with each member of the pack having strength, they all manage to fight for their happy ending. I am so excited for the next book within the Hockey Verse series because this was so much fun!

The conclusion to the Finding the Forward duet was just as good as the first book. This book picks up where the first book ended with the destruction of Verity’s greenhouse and making sure that Grif and Dean are not found in the team locker room after bonding. The conclusion is all about finding a way for the pack to come together.

My annoyances:
Taking care of the Omegas in an Omegaverse book is the priority but I felt like the pack forgot that everyone needs to be taken care of. Priority for Jonas was to get the Omegas home but he needed to stop and get all the facts instead of arguing about not letting AJ go to Verity. Jonas could have done a little more groveling in my opinion. Also, it felt like Grif and the rest of the pack was making all the plans for him coming out as an Omega/Gamma and weren’t including Verity in these plans. I understand she had to be out of town with Mercy, and she and Grif needed to have that important talk, but she was left out of the planning process. The coach found out before she did.

Even with the above I still feel like it was a Five Star read. I loved reading how they all handled everything. Mercy building that relationship with Jonas was a highlight. They made her feel welcome and included. AJ, finally realizing that the others had to be included in Grif’s heat, was like his lightbulb moment. And it couldn’t have come sooner. He needed to realize that he wasn’t Grif’s only Alpha anymore and Grif would need them all. The destruction we saw in book one was done by the person I thought. The person was so vindictive and needed more consequences. The walkout and strike by the team was just what was needed. Although the team management could have also done more groveling. I just needed more groveling, I guess. Spice in the book was on point, and who doesn’t love a surprise heat?

I know there are more books to come in this universe and I can’t wait.

Blurb:
I’ve finally found my pack.

After being raised to believe that no one would want an alpha female like me, I’ve finally found where I fit—with Grif, Jonas, Dean, and AJ.

When my presence causes a chain reaction, I realize that alphaing-up isn’t enough. No. If I want my fairytale ending, I’m going to have to take it.

But then anything worth having is worth taking.

And in this pack, we protect what is ours and we don't let the a-holes win.

This was book 2 in this duology and picked up right where book 1 left off. I enjoyed book one so much and this was a great continuation/conclusion of this story. At the beginning I had a lot of feelings, and not all of them were good. There were times where I thought that Verity was just an after thought to some of the guys in the pack, but I just needed to hold on and keep reading. I love how this book takes an omegaverse and flips it on its head. Big, strong omegas that still have the typical omega issues like too many hormones flying around, and a female alpha that you just want to take care of and sometimes she just needs a big omega hug. There is so much going on in this book, so it never gets boring. You have the pack trying to figure their complex dynamics, Grif dealing with his designation and his career, Verity and the person causing her trouble, and Mercy and the skate smash team just being completely awesome. I was so engaged in this book and hated when it finally came to an end.

I adored the characters in this book. I read so many omegaverses and it takes something special for them to stand out. Verity was such a fantastic character. I love a female alpha, but she isn’t your ordinary alpha. A lot of the things you typically see with omegas apply to her because of her past. Dealing with a complex established pack and someone trying to make her life hell isn’t easy, but she takes way more than most could. I love how Mercy and the entire skate smash team is there for her and how Verity is part of the team. I go back and forth throughout the book with the guys in the pack. I will say that for the most part I love them all, but there were definitely times I wanted to smack them in the head. Of course, Grif is so wonderful except when he is fighting his hormones, and it is a lot when his truth has to come out. I think it is a requirement for alphas to be complete knotheads at times, and these two are no exception. It is such a struggle to have this pack come together but it is evident that they belong.

This was such a great duology and this book was the perfect conclusion. This book, just like the first, is long but I felt that I didn’t lose interest. As with most omegaverses, there was plenty of spicy good times. And award for best claiming mark goes to Grif for his mark on Dean. This was a great read and perfect for anyone who loves a good omegaverse.

Okay, so this picks up exactly where part 1 left off. Tension is high...Grif is in limbo...the pack is scrambling...Verity is freaking out.

Things just get kinda worse before they get so much better. This book also focuses a lot more on AJ and Jonas which I really appreciated. I kinda felt like they were just there in book 1, but here they really shined. Both of them bonding with Mercy was everything! Getting to hear about their childhoods and how Jonas and Verity have that in common was so sweet and heartbreaking. AJ and his dominating ways...why, hellllllooooo, my King.

"'ˡˡ ʳᵉˢᵖᵉᶜ ʸᵒᵘʳ ˡⁱᵐⁱᵗˢ, ᵃⁿ 'ˡˡ ᵃᵇˢᵒˡᵘᵗᵉˡʸ ᵐᵃᵏᵉ ʸᵒᵘ ᶜ⁰ᵐᵉ ʷʰᵉⁿ ᵍⁱᵛᵉ ʸᵒᵘ ᵖᵉʳᵐⁱˢˢⁱᵒ, ᵒᶠ ᶜᵒᵘʳˢᵉ. ᴮᵘ ᵘⁿᵈᵉʳˢᵗᵃⁿᵈ ᵐᵉ ʷʰᵉⁿ ˢᵃ ᵗʰᵃ ᵗʰᵉʸ ᵍⁱᵛᵉ ʸᵒᵘ ᵖˡᵉᵃˢᵘʳᵉ⁻ ᵗᵃᵏᵉ ⁱᵗ." ᴬᴶ

The spice in this one is also spicing so much!

"ᴶᵒⁿᵃˢ ᵗⁱᵉ ᵐᵉ ᵘᵖ ᵃⁿ ᵐᵃᵏᵉˢ ᵐᵉ ᶜ⁰ᵐᵉ ᵘⁿᵗⁱˡ ᵖᵃˢˢ ᵒᵘ. ʸᵒᵘ ᵗⁱ ᵐᵉ ᵘᵖ ᵃⁿ ᵉᵈᵍᵉ ᵐᵉ ᵘⁿᵗⁱˡ ᵇʳᵉᵃᵏ. ᴳʳⁱ *ᶜᵏˢ ᵐᵉ ᵃᵍᵃⁱⁿˢᵗ ʷᵃˡ ʷⁱᵗʰ ᵐ ʰᵃⁿᵈ ᵖⁱⁿⁿᵉᵈ ᵃᵇᵒᵛ ᵐ ʰᵉᵃ ᵘⁿᵗⁱˡ ᵐ ᵏⁿᵉᵉˢ ᵗᵘʳ ᵗᵒ ʲᵉˡˡ. ʳⁱᵈ ᴰᵉᵃⁿ ᵃⁿ ᵗᵉˡˡ ʰⁱᵐ ʰ'ˢ ᵐ ᵍᵒᵒᵈ ᵒᵐᵉᵍ. ᴳᵒ ⁱᵗ." ⱽᵉʳⁱᵗʸ

Then ish hits the fan with Verity and things go so much more downhill so much faster for the pack, but it's all worth it in the end and I really am in love with this world and this pack. I can't wait for more to come. I'm new to omegaverse, but this version and world is something I love.

Oh, and special shoutout to the running joke of the duet, Lucky the cat. I mean, I love how it started with Grif and Verity at the start of book 1 and has blossomed into this whole thing that includes the entire hockey team. Every time someone brought up Lucky, I found myself smiling.

𝑨𝒏𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈.

Thank you, Jane for the ARC. I can't wait to see what's next with this world!

So, I finished part 1, and I was depressed and I missed the great characters and the story that Jane had created. So when I was able to return to the world, did I stop when I had been reading and start this right away. Yep. (Of course, I went back and finished those before I wrote a couple of reviews all at once.) I was so happy to return to this world, and I will go back over and over again. I can't get enough of Verity and the guys.

I fell in love with this duet, and I just can't get enough of it. If I could get each of the guy's back stories as a story on it's own I would gobble it up too.

Yes, the book started off finding me in tears and was devastating with Verity completely destroyed and at a loss due to a loss. A horrible person decided to destroy all her research, and that just broke my heart, imagining what I would do if someone did that to me. And then you have all the drama on top of that with Verity being ditched by Grif, who was just spiraling out of control.

Then you had a new pack that was dealing with new problems. You had two omegas who were bonding. Of course, you had Veritys research being destroyed, Grifs reveal of who he really is and the consequences of that. Everyone is really struggling, but they are getting it all figured out in the end.

Like Verity, I feel in love with Grif and the guys. I found this new creative sport I wish existed when I was young and still able to play sports easily. And through Jane's words and imagery, I was blessed to see things that I normally wouldn't have been able to see, and I saw beautiful healing and love.

I wish I had the kind of relationship with my sister that Verify has with her sister. I wish I could go back and love her as fiercely as Verity loves her sister.

Thank you, Jane, for this story. It's a masterpiece. It's one of a kind, and the love and care you showed your characters is amazing, and the love you showed you showed your readers is so touching. You helped me to heal in ways that I never knew I could.

The spice in this book did not disappoint, and I didn't feel like the ending was rushed. I laughed at times, and the banter between the characters was so on par. I am going to miss them all, and I look forward to going back.

Tropes in this book. And I love these tropes, two omegas in a pack (both men), MM, hockey, why choose romance.

The ending was just so perfect. I would love to see Mercy get her own book with her own Pack. She is just so dominant. I have to say this, I was never a big MM girly, but thanks to Jane and Finding the Forward Parts 1 & 2, I am enjoying it, in written form, more and more. And only when it is tastefully done.

Verity has found her Pack and is working to become the Alpha they deserve. The Alpha she was meant to be. But someone doesn't want her to have her HEA.

This duet was a lesson to me - there are too many good books to read, stop wasting time struggling through books I don't enjoy. If a book starts with cringeworthy nicknames, it is not for me. If a book has giant Omegas sitting in other's laps and being "protected" by a woman half their size, it is not for me. This book is all over the place with way too much filler. This duet should have been one book. The pacing would have been better with the repetition removed, and some of the unnecessary filler gone, and it may have helped with the lack of suspense. Since the mystery enemy was obvious from early on, there was no need to drag it all out. The same goes for Grif's medical condition. I would also like to add, that sex is not the answer for everything. If you screw up in a relationship, if something bad happens, or if you are medically fragile, talking, groveling, and a cuddle are more appropriate. There was too little wooing and too much sex. It came across as selfish behavior. Verity missed out on the spoiling part way too much. Just because she's an Alpha doesn't mean the Pack shouldn't have had to work to woo her or at least pretend she's not an afterthought. My final thought- I liked Verity's siblings much more than her Pack. The siblings were funny, caring, and protective. I would happily read a story of a sister's vacation. I will not be reading another story about this Pack.

What a perfect ending (or beginning) for this pack! I love them so much! Let’s start with head Alpha of Pack Lune Noire, Jonas Seong. He is a strong Alpha, Defender of the New York Knights. Not only does he love his pack but he welcomes Mercy as his little Sister. His love and strength is really beautiful. Then there his Omega Dean Donovan. Goalie for the New York Knights, out and proud Omega, husband and bonded to Grif, and desperately wants to be bonded with Verity. Dean is the cozy sweater, fireplace on, comfort movie viewing person for the whole pack. That leads us to AJ Zaman, Alpha of Grif, doesn’t like to share but fells something for Verity and doesn’t mind sharing her. He is an investment banker who also takes Mercy under his wing as a little sibling and a student to help her learn about investing. Next up is Grif McGraff, secret omega, everyone thinks is a beta forward for the New York Knights. He is a scent match to Verity. Verity Thorne is a PhD student who is trying to make happy flowers. Verity feels a connection to each and everyone in the Pack. Yes she is a scent match with Grif but her connection with the rest is equally as powerful.

If you want a M/M/M/M/F, omegaverse, female alpha, male omegas, romance this is 10000% for you. I loved this so much and it was an amazing read. I honestly didn’t want it to stop and could have kept going.

Verity continues fighting her own demons as her life's work is ruined, as she stands and defends her Omega as she lands herself in hospital fighting for her life.
All in the life of being an Alpha!
Lots of spice surrounding Grif and Dean as they enter their "heats" together and they all disappear up to the cabin. Not a real hardship for the Alphas to assist the two Omegas at all!!
I found book 2 a very long read and repetitive in some aspects of the story.
But it does lead to Verity finally getting her HEA with Grif and his fellow packmates.

Let me start of by saying, I really loved reading this duet, I fell head over heels in love with these characters. I'm sad that this is the end of reading about this pack, but everything was wrapped up in a nice little bow.

This book continues where we left of in book one, where everything seems to be up in the air, when we where left with that cliffhanger at the end, I couldn't wait to get the next book to see who discovered them. All my questions where answered.

I'm telling you this took me on another wild rollercoaster ride with twists and turns, I didn't see coming, they do through so much in this book.
Once I started I didn't put it down until I finished it, talk about being hooked! This duo had me on the edge of my seat, wanting to know everything, I couldn't read it fast enough.

It's action packed with drama, spice, humour, heartbreak and so much more. The characters, plot and storyline where written perfectly. I can't wait to see what Jane brings out next. I'm a fan for life. I highly recommend reading this duo, you won't be disappointed at all!!! " Anything worth having is worth taking "

" I'll respect your limits and I'll absolutely make you cum when I give you permission, of course. But understand me when I say that they give you pleasure, I take it!."

An Epic Conclusion

I did not want this series to end! I was not above begging the author for more. In fact, I may still beg and plead for more Verity and her guys. This duet was amazing, and it's going to live rent-free in my head forever! The characters hook you in and burrow into your heart.

For the conclusion, we picked up where book one left off. Griff in a spiral and running away from Verity and Verity getting hurt. We see what the aftermath of this causes and why he spiraled in the first place. When Griff learns why he has to tell truths, this causes him some more heartbreak because of the lying. When the truth comes out to just more than Verity, but to the whole world, it's a fight to save the pack. A fight for everyone to be able to bond and be a pack. Also, when the real culprit for the greenhouse is exposed, it goes deeper!!! The twists and definitely unexpected turns throw it completely left field.

I can't wait to see more in this world, with Gwen 'Ladybug' up next. Also, Grace!! The big sister and how she came to be. I would also love a Mercy book. She fought so hard for Verity, and they had each other's back through it all.

I devoured this in one sitting as soon as I got it! Normally I’m the type of person that needs to reread a book before moving on to the newest release but this story and these characters had me needing to jump right into book 2!

Verity has so many heartbreaking things happening all at once in the beginning while Grif is going through his own turmoil and AJ, Jonas, and Dean put their best efforts into making sure they are both supported and loved.

I’m not going to lie it took me a minute to like Jonas but then I really did love him and in this book AJ made me dislike him before redeeming himself but all in all I ended up loving all of the pack by the end!

Mercy was an absolute amazing character that I would love to see get her own story eventually. The way she was so tough and always worried about making sure Verity was treated right while dealing with her own struggles of coming into her alpha!

This book was the perfect way to wrap up Verity and the guys story and I cannot wait to see what Jane does next!

Great way to finish this duet! I was waiting for the remainder of this story and it did not disappoint. We got to see further development for the scent match between Verity and Grif. But we also got to dive deeper in the relationships that Verity built with the other members of the pack.

AJ was the one that surprised me the most. He went from hating Verity to spoiling and cherishing her. He gets jealous when he isn’t the first to bond with her and keeps his mark hidden for only them. Then not wanting share Griffin with anyone to sharing very intimate moments as a group.

Verity really grows into the alpha the pack needs but she also learns to let all her guys treasure her in their own way. The way her instincts kick in save Grif had me speed reading to know what happened next.

There were more plot twists in this second part than I expected. All the hospital scenes were so emotional. But they just showed the true bond within each member of their pack.

I am looking forward to reading about Lovebug next!

What a way to end a duet! The story begins with Griff and Dean bonding after Griff spirals from getting into a fight with his Alpha Verity and living with his Omega husband Dean. Aj, Grif’s soon to be other Alpha, takes charge before anyone is the wiser and is able to maintain Griff’s designation secret. Cut to Verity walking into her greenhouse to all her research being destroyed. Although she doesn’t know who exactly did it, she has a clue that it is connected to her dating Griff. Verity makes up with Griff and needs to go on an away series of games with Mercy only to come back to their place flooded from the pipes bursting. Her and Mercy move in with the guys and the six of them navigate living together. The closer Verity and her guys get it seems more and more trouble come their way. I fell in love with these characters after reading part one and I could not wait to see what was going to happen. This was an amazing ending to their story that was filled with humor, heartbreak and renewed hope for finding your own HEA.

all i gotta say is WELL DONE!!! the duet is done but it was just overall an awesome read! the writing was just amazing and i really felt like i was kinda in with the characters!

the second part picked up right where the first left off but it’s from the POV of AJ which honestly i really enjoyed seeing his thought process to what was going on with Griff and Dean.

this part has ALOT of spice but whoo it is juicy honestly! it’s all just so satisfying and it was great to see Verity build her relationships with each of the guys. there never felt like any one person got more attention and love from anyone. it was a very healthy balance between all of them.

never at any point did i see the chaos that would happen after Grif was publicly outed. it definitely added some drama and a wee microscopic amount of angst to it all but it worked so well.

i loved seeing how open the guys were with Mercy and were so easy to welcome a teenager into their house

overall this universe was so amazing! i loved seeing the new takes on omegaverse and also the sports we all know!!

After the way the first book ending in that slight cliff hanger I was desperate to find out what was going to happen next. I felt bad that Grif felt like he had to hide that he was an omega but I was happy to see that he started to finally accept his designation.

So much happened in the book that had me hooked. Poor verity & everything she went through. IYKYK🥲 Also loved that there was no heartbreak or third act break ups 🤭 with the drama that was going on the background it felt like having the main character go through heartbreak wasn’t necessary. Thank the lord that AJ finally accepted that Verity was going to become part of the pack no matter what. Happy they all got their HEA.

Now I did like this book but I couldn’t get past the nicknames & how AJ was towards Verity in the beginning about having alone time with Grif. Yes I know that it was a bit unfair that Grif gave verity more attention than he gave AJ but it also wasn’t Verity’s fault. Other than that definitely enjoyed reading & can’t wait to see what’s next!!🫶🏼🫶🏼

it was okay

Things I liked:
-the pacing of the actual story was great. Nothing felt rushed in terms of the story line.
-I loved the fmc’s family. She had a huge family and her relationship with each of her siblings was different. I appreciated that and I loved the varying personalities.
-it was interesting to see her parents relationships essentially falling apart while she and her siblings were branching out and becoming adults.

Things I didn’t like:
-the scene pacing. This is just an example, but they’d get in the car, have a 2 second conversation, and then they were getting out of the car, but the way it was written was really jarring and abrupt and I frequently had to go back and check to make sure they’d actually gotten in a car.
-I read a lot of OV. I understand they’re al different. Generally, male omegas can cum a lot, and if it happens frequently, nbd.
In this, even though the alphas weren’t helping their omegas through a heat, they very much felt like teen guys with pre ejac issues. They’d cum really fast, and then be ready to go 2 seconds later.

Finding the Forward Part Two jumps right back into the crazy events of the cliffhanger from Part One. Some aspects of the resolution are painfully drawn out, likely due to my own impatience, and while I certainly guessed some of what was going to happen, other parts hit me out of nowhere! The unpredictability kept me on my toes and quickly reading page after page.

My issues with the writing were still there although less so, which I think is why I enjoyed Part Two more than Part One. Internal dialogue and just overall descriptions still doesn’t always line up with dialogue in a logical order, which bothers me a bit. I still don’t like most of the nicknames. Even more appear in this book with absolutely no background or logic to them.

Overall, Finding the Forward is a sweet omegaverse hockey romance with a bunch of drama, although none within the confines of the pack, which makes it all the easier to tolerate. I appreciated the justice that our MCs experienced and of course their HEA. It’s a fun, easy read with some exciting adversity and a spicy heat!

Did I read the arc within a day of receiving it? Yes. Was I supposed to be sleeping instead of reading? Also yes. But I literally could NOT put it down.

Jane did something with this series. Now I need to know everyone else’s stories lol. I love love loved this duet.

I fell in love with those guys just like Verity. I became best friends with the teammates. I found a new sport that I didn’t know about. I witnessed imagery through the book that I normally am not blessed with being able to see. I also saw healing and love.

I wish I was given a sibling like Verity, even though I did have similar parents, it would have been much easier to have one like her. She loves her family so fiercely, I want to be her.

All in all. Thank you Jane for this masterpiece, for the love and care you showed your characters and your readers. And lastly thank you for helping me heal right along with Verity.
