This is literally the best thing ever. I have always said that a hijabi/niqabi woman would make the perfect superhero, because she comes with capes and masks already included, and it works perfectly. I relate to Qahera on so many levels. All the situations she talks about, I can remember living through something similar, or hearing the same exact thing. She also shows that life isn't all black and white and that sometimes it's hard, but it's worth fighting for. It's amazing to see that I am not alone in this. I badly need for this webcomic to continue for as long as possible, be adapted into a graphic novel, and get so much more recognition. I wish more artists created these linds of characters. We need more muslim charcters in fiction, but also more own-voices stories! Man I am so inspired by this, I think I might actually start on that script idea I had with a muslim ninja group.
This was my first webcomic written by An Arab, and I loved it, especially for all the issues it discussed. As an Arab Muslim woman, I found all of it relatable. It is good to find this kind of representation in stories nowadays.
