This book was a really good read for me. It was one of those that I could not put down but I did feel in the beginning that it was repeating the romance of Jace and Clary. It didn't turn out that way, however, but I think that its going to develop in the later books. Will obviously has stuff to work out for him regardless of how he feels about Tessa. The storyline though was great. Twisting and turning and mystery around every corner. Their still are unanswered questions, but the plot was captiv

wow. I cant even think of words. I wasn't sure if i would like this book just because of the time era. But when i heard not only was it by by Cassandra Clare but it was a prequel to the mortal instrument series I just knew I had to read it. I had complete faith in Clare to pull it off but she still blew my mind. First of all I found the writing to be just plain wonderful, it was witty and actually made me laugh out loud. And I didn't even fully understand until after i was done reading just how

Once again Cassandra Clare did not dissapoint me. With her extrordinary talents of writing a book that lacks absolutly nothing.
I fell in love with Tessa and her strong personality, with Jem for his godness and with will for his sarcasim and his strange yet amusing sense of humor.
The appereance of Magnus was really a very nice addition so was Church- the infamous cat.
And i was nearing the last few pages i wished it wouldnt end. And the end surprised me and i really want to know what happends ne ...more

loved it! Cassandra Clare is a great author.... but it seemed a little too much like her other series 'The Mortal Instruments'. The characters were the same... They have the cocky arragont bad boy, who all the girls are drawn to, and he hides his emotions. They have the heroine who makes the cocky arragont boy open up and share his emotions. They have the obnoxious materialistic girl who turns out to have much more to offer, and they have the friendly boy who tries his best to please people. The

It was really amazing!! I loved the parallels and non parallels throughout the book. I found the Lightwood vs. Herondale feud especially amusing since Alec and Jace become parabatai in the Mortal Instruments.
I really love Tessa's character, she's sweet and strong and not afraid to speak her mind. I love Will and his seemingly dark and distant character. He uses sarcasm and the image of disinterest in everything to make everyone hate him and drive everyone out on purpose. But he's really hiding s ...more

I may have been prejudiced about this book even before I started it because I was expecting it to be amazing. I found the London setting of the book quite different from the New York setting in the Mortal Instruments trilogy. However I also found that some of the characters were slightly less likeable then those in the MI series. There were some brilliant characters still, including: Will Herondale, Jem Carstairs and also a couple of characters from the Mortal Instruments: Magnus Bane and Church

OMG AMAZING!!!!!!! I was SO excited when this came out because MI is one of my all tiem favorites. Clockwork Angel is set in the Victorian age in London, the protaganist being a shape shifter (possibly a warlock) named Tesse, who has come to London to find her brother who has gotten involved with Downworlders and the Pandomenium Club. Thoug h it lacked sarcasm and humor that Mortal Instruments had, I still LOVED CLockwork Angel and cannot wait for the next two in the series.

I loved this book. Though it wasn't as good as the Mortal Instruments, it was still one of my favorite series! There were quite a few slow parts, but it would make up for that with a bunch of action at one time. You could tell some of the people and how they are related to the characters from the Mortal Instruments. I can't wait for the next book in this series! This book definitely didn't disappoint, and I had really high expectations!
