I could relate to alot of the things that she has been through.
I heard so many great things about this book so I was really looking forward to reading it. I am already looking forward to learning more about Natalie Lockhart and her family.
As a child Natalie idolised her father and always knew that she wanted to follow in his footsteps and join the police force. He is a woman with a troubled past, losing her sister in a horrific murder 20 years ago. Now she is working cold cases in her hometown. On duty one night she is called to a crime scene and is shocked to hear that the address is that of her colleague, finding his wife murdered in her own home. Daisy is a much loved teacher, pregnant with her first child and Natalie's sisters best friend. Who would want her dead?

Mostly set in beautiful parts of Italy with 2 main characters that are likeable and easy to care about. I was hoping it was all going to work out for both of them.
Allie is the sensible, research assistant who finds a letter in her grandmothers room that rocks her world. Suddenly there is a secret from her mother’s past that she needs to know more about. Her mother passed away when she was young and her grandmother refuses to talk about it. Her best friend is Ed and he has suddenly left his wife of 2 years, seemingly out of the blue. Together they travel to Italy in search of answers. Allie wants to know more about this man from her mother’s past and Ed needs to sort his head out and decide where his life is going. They both get a lot more than they bargain for.

Another great Aussie crime book. This is the second book by Garry Disher to feature Hirsh. I have not read the first book but this read fine as a stanAnother great Aussie crime book. This is the second book by Garry Disher to feature Hirsh. I have not read the first book but this read fine as a stand alone. I will however go back and read the first book and learn more about the characters.
Hirsh is the lone law man in the small town of Tiverton is South Australia. His usual days are drunk drivers, welfare checks and keeping an eye on the locals. Except on Christmas Day when he gets a call from Sydney police to do a welfare check on a family that are out of the way. What he finds when he get so there is shocking and dark, and the case begins.
I really enjoy Aussie crime and will definitely read more of this author.
