کل داستان مربوط به یک روز ابتدای هفته (دوشنبه) است؛ روزی تمام ناشدنی که در انتهای داستان هنوز چند ساعتی از آن باقی است! صبح روز دوشنبه تلگرامی از پدرش می‌رس� که هدویگ دختر مدیر مدرسه (همکار پدر) برای ادامه تحصیل به شهر می‌آی� و فندریش می‌بایس� به ایستگاه راه آهن برود و او را با رعایت ادب به آپارتمانی که قبلن برای او اجاره کرده است برساند. او با کمی نارضایتی تن به این کار می‌ده� اما مواجهه او با هدویگ تاثیر عجیبی روی او می‌گذار� به نحوی که�. در رمان من او خانواده‌ا� اصیل و ایرانی در بستر تاریخ معاصر ایران با شیوه‌ا� نوآورانه تصویر می‌شو�. این اثر یکی از پرخواننده‌تری� رمان‌ها� دههٔ گذشته است.

رضا امیرخانی شیوه‌ها� روایی مدرنی را در این رمان می‌آزماید� بی‌آنک� تجربهٔ لذت‌بخ� خواندن رمان برای خواننده مختل شود. من او همچنین یکی از آثار جنجالی ادبیات داستانی فارسی در یک دههٔ گذشته است که نقدها و واکنش‌ها� بسیار متفاوتی را برانگیخت و البته بیشتر نقدها نگاهی ایدئواوژیک داشتند.

این اثر داستان حیات یک خانواده را از سال ۱۳۱۲ تا جنگ روایت می‌کن� و خطوط فرعی مختلفی را پی‌گیر� اما تم غالب آن عاشقانه است.

«هر کسی عاشقم شود، من عاشقش می‌شو� و هر کس من عاشقش شوم، او را می‌کش� و خونبهایش خودم هستم.»

حدیث قدسی منِ او داستان عشق است؛ داستان عشقی زمینی.

عشق علی فتاح نوهٔ حاج فتاح، تاجر قند، به دختر کلفت خانه، مهتاب. منِ او، داستان عشقی است که در گام‌زد� در مرز عرفان، به عشق آسمانی پیوند می‌خور� تا دو دلداده بدون تن، شهید شوند و در آسمان‌ه� به یکدیگر بپیوندند. منِ او، داستان یک تاریخ است، تاریخی که از سال ۱۳۱۲ و دوره رضاشاه آغاز می‌شو� و در یکی از محله‌ها� پایین‌شه� تهران، یعنی خانی‌آبا� روایتش را آغاز می‌کن�. روایت مردم ساده گذرها و لوطی‌گری‌ها� اکنون دیگر فراموش‌شد�.

روایت درویش‌ها� چاووشی‌خا� و حرمت نان و نمک و نقش‌آفرین� اصلی مسجد محل. روایت ارباب و رعیت‌ها� فقیر و غنی؛ روایتی از رنگ خاکی خانه‌ها� ساده تا صفای سبز دل آدم‌ه�. منِ او، دقیق و بی‌نق� آدرس می‌ده� و مو لای درز نشانی‌های� از کوچه پس کوچه‌ه� نمی‌رو�. سال‌ها� سال‌ها� از راه رسیدن ترقی‌خواه� حکومت است و چادر از سر زنان برداشتن سر یکی از همین پیچ‌ها� تاریخ؛ سال‌ها� کلاه پهلوی و اتول‌ها� پردود تازه از راه رسیده، و خانی‌آبا� همان محله‌ا� است که از روایت اربابش تا رعیت و نوکر و کلفتش دو قدم بیشتر راه نیست.

منِ او، روایت سه دوره پرآشوب است؛ دوره مدرن کردن مردم، دوره شاه و انقلاب و مبارزات مردمی و دوره جنگ هشت ساله ایران و عراق. عشق کودکی اما، راه می‌گیر� در خون و رگ و می‌شو� هویت روح. جهان تغییر می‌کند� آدم‌ه� بزرگ و پیر می‌شون� و حوداث یکی از پی دیگری طومار زندگی آدم‌ها� قصه را درمی‌نوردند� زمانه رنگ و بوی دیگری می‌گیرد� قصه به شهر عشاق، یعنی پاریس جایی در قلب اروپای مدرن می‌رسد� اما عشق همان است که بود و عاشق و معشوق همانند که بودند.

قصه عشق از لونی دیگر نمی‌شود� همانطور که هفت کور در پاریس هم هفت کورند، کشیش همان درویش مصطفا است و محراب کلیسا همان محراب مسجد قندی است و عشق حتی می‌توان� در ستون‌ها� فولادی برج ایفل هم بتپد.

]]> مسای� 83732 داستان در نهایت با کودتای ۲۸ مرداد به پایان می‌رسد� هرچند در هیچ یک از مراحل داستان وقایع سیاسی و تاریخی ملی شدن صنعت نفت به صورت مستقیم به چشم نمی‌خور� و تنها بازتاب آن ها در میان مردم طبقه پایین کشور دیده می‌شو�.
احمد استاد مسلم زبان و فضا سازی است. او نویسنده داستان های کارگری است. و در این راه بسیار موفق می‌باش�. آثارش به لحاظ فضا بازتاب همه ی جنوبی� ها است. زاویه دید رمان اول شخص مفرد است. سیر تحول شخصیت قهرمان داستان به خوبی پرداخت شده است. این سیر تحول مرا یاد پابرهنه‌ه� اثر زاهاریا استانکو می‌انداز�. آنجا هم قهرمان پسربچه‌ا� است که در انتها فلسفه و دیدش تکامل پیدا می‌کن� و دارای نگرش جدیدی می‌شو�. این دگرگونی در همسایه� ها برای خالد(قهرمان داستان) به تدریج اتفاق می‌افت� با شرح دقیقی که در کتاب آمده است. همراه با تحولات جامعه. توصیفات و تصویرسازی� ها کاملا ما را به فضای جامعه و مردم آشنا می‌کن�. این هم نقطه قوت و مهارت دیگری از محمود است. مهم� تر آنکه کلیشه در رمان نیست. احمد مردم را بهانه برای شعارها و عقاید خود نمی کند. مردم کاملا مردم هستند با حرف� های خودشان. داستان رنج و تلخی واقعیت با بیان زیبا و روایت عالی محمود برای خواننده شیرین هضم می‌شو�. رمان در اوج تمام می‌شو�. گویا داستان یک شهر ادامه زندگی خالد است.
