This is a straight-up f***ed by my stalker/cheating kink fantasy. There were some pretty cool ideas, and definitely a lot of taboo topics that never seemed to be highlighted in the negative. Despite the "guilt" Devyn drones on about consistently, her actions and diary prove that she's not actually remorseful. This girl gets screwed by one guy and is texting another right afterward playing the pouty yet loving side hoe as long as she gets her routine rounds of sex. This nympho gets so much action, too, that I seriously found myself wondering how she didn't get an infection or tear something. I mean, with her "minimum" of 4 orgasms every session x3 (counting herself), it's 12 daily. At some point, something is going to get hurt, especially with how rough she's handled. Girl barely got through a page without having some guy's fingers up her couchie.

The most irritating thing about Devyn is her lies. She lies about EVERYTHING. She doesn't even try to get away with it either, and she tells on herself too like she can't help but boast about it. Maybe I would be more lenient with her if she'd been given a chance at the start, but we're first introduced to Devyn as she steals money from her mother's wallet. She justifies this and rationalized her actions as a punishment to her mom for "changing" after marrying a wealthy husband. Devyn's inner monologue makes it seem like she's this independent 20 year old, getting a degree and being self-sufficient, but then you learn she dropped out. In fact, she's still very dependant on her mother and stepfather. Even her stepbrother takes care of her. They own the land she has been living on, providing for her water, electricity, gas, and amenities. She even stays in the mansion whenever she wants to and eats there. So she can come and go whenever. Her situation is not as dire as she makes it seem. A lot of her conflicts are self-inflicted repercussions or flat out delusions. Devyns rationalization and excuse for running, the death of her grandparents, turns out to be a complete sham. For 56% of the book, she spins this story of her victimhood, how she's so lost after losing them. However, Devyn later confesses to leaving because of her growing regret and confusion over Ryker �� this explains why she rushes to go when he isn't home. You see, she lies and tells her mother the main reason she needs to get away is because of her boyfriend. He was cheating on her and got her best friend pregnant. BUT WAIT, Devyn was already sleeping with her stepbrother, REGULARLY. She was sleeping with both of them. She genuinely would go from laying in the arms of one man to the other in the span of minutes. Bitch was cuddling #2 as if she wasn't just with #1. It doesn't help when the Masked Man comes in, and Devyn genuinely believes that crazy bro is man #3, and she STILL STILL SAYS NOTHING TO RYKER. She legit fails every loyalty test. This is a straight-up f***ed by my stalker/cheating kink fantasy. There were some pretty cool ideas, and definitely a lot of taboo topics that never seemed to be highlighted in the negative. Despite the "guilt" Devyn drones on about consistently, her actions and diary prove that she's not actually remorseful. This girl gets screwed by one guy and is texting another right afterward playing the pouty yet loving side hoe as long as she gets her routine rounds of sex. This nympho gets so much action, too, that I seriously found myself wondering how she didn't get an infection or tear something. I mean, with her "minimum" of 4 orgasms every session x3 (counting herself), it's 12 daily. At some point, something is going to get hurt, especially with how rough she's handled. Girl barely got through a page without having some guy's fingers up her couchie.

The most irritating thing about Devyn is her lies. She lies about EVERYTHING. She doesn't even try to get away with it either, and she tells on herself too like she can't help but boast about it. Maybe I would be more lenient with her if she'd been given a chance at the start, but we're first introduced to Devyn as she steals money from her mother's wallet. She justifies this and rationalized her actions as a punishment to her mom for "changing" after marrying a wealthy husband. Devyn's inner monologue makes it seem like she's this independent 20 year old, getting a degree and being self-sufficient, but then you learn she dropped out. In fact, she's still very dependant on her mother and stepfather. Even her stepbrother takes care of her. They own the land she has been living on, providing for her water, electricity, gas, and amenities. She even stays in the mansion whenever she wants to and eats there. So she can come and go whenever. Her situation is not as dire as she makes it seem. A lot of her conflicts are self-inflicted repercussions or flat out delusions. Devyns rationalization and excuse for running, the death of her grandparents, turns out to be a complete sham. For 56% of the book, she spins this story of her victimhood, how she's so lost after losing them. However, Devyn later confesses to leaving because of her growing regret and confusion over Ryker �� this explains why she rushes to go when he isn't home. You see, she lies and tells her mother the main reason she needs to get away is because of her boyfriend. He was cheating on her and got her best friend pregnant. BUT WAIT, Devyn was already sleeping with her stepbrother, REGULARLY. She was sleeping with both of them. She genuinely would go from laying in the arms of one man to the other in the span of minutes. Bitch was cuddling #2 as if she wasn't just with #1. It doesn't help when the Masked Man comes in, and Devyn genuinely believes that crazy bro is man #3, and she STILL STILL SAYS NOTHING TO RYKER. She legit fails every loyalty test. Yet we're supposed to believe she feels guilty and truly loves Ryker when she betrays him at the sight of another

I jumped into this story with 0 expectations and it happened to be one of my favorite reads of the year.
