It's been challenging getting back into reading comics after a long hiatus but this book reminded me of how much I love comics, it's silly, it breaks the fourth wall a lot, it's filled with funny references and has a surprise in every chapter. Like Gert fighting her variations or making fun of the way she curses. I do miss Skottie Young illustrating though but this artist still rules.

This was one of the best comics I've read in the last year, it was super well written, I love Tom King's works and very unorthodox that Supergirl story was told through Ruthye who sets out for revenge. At times some of the issues seemed like filler but they were always super interesting and the Supergirl lore is so bad-A. I loved Ruthye by the way she was a sweet country girl with a lot of heart.

What a wild ride, it was an up and down for me, i was exhausted after a while trying to keep up and some of the dialogue just seemed childish like I used to talk to my friends in middle school, but a lot of it had heart, and it was just never ending craziness. You gotta love the mind of Garth Ennis, he is consistent in quality yet, unpredictable and original and this is his magnum opus.

This was my first audio book in a while but I was kind of dreading to listen to it, i appreciate Reggie tenacity as a business man but just hearing corporate stories about his accomplishment made me grow a little bored. I only cared for the Nintendo stories the first chapters really great hearing about the stories of the late Satoru Iwata and the last few chapters about Reggie push to move a game bundle with the Wii which changed the game, and I really enjoyed the bonus interview with Geoff Keighly.

Beautiful little fantasy story, really enjoyed the artwork, the colors, the dialogue and story and how it all unfolded. There was a nice mystery to it and themes centered around adventure and family. The creature designs were really nice too.

I love Bryan o malleys work, there's just so many references to things I love, indie rock, comic books, video game, this is the first time reading the comic but I loved the movie so there's a lot of the game but it's a fun ride regardless reading the OG stuff. It was a great book, filled with a lot of beautiful artworks but I was disappointed after reading into the spiderverse art book recently, because I felt it was much better. I was hoping for more concept art and more emphasis on all of those amazing characters I saw during the movie, there's no spider dinosaur or spider car or many of the different spidermans in the movie or talks on including real live characters into the movie. It felt like it was missing something.

The artwork was great but I really struggled to keep an interest in the character and the story which felt too subliminal. I agree with some of the reviews that maybe this would have been appreciated more if I was reading it in HS. Some of the themed were disturbing but some were very tender and sweet, but it was an effort for me to finish it.

Absolutely incredible all throughout, it had me cheering for each issue because there was always a new character or big twist that left you wanting more. It reminded me of Tenacious D and their love for Rock n Roll and Metal, but also just Music as a whole. It's not just all amazing artwork though, this story is really good and plays with the heartstrings a bit.

Never read a deluxe book so quickly because each volume makes you want to desperately and excitedly turn the next page until you've devoured it all. I love each one of the characters and the very mature themes and the dialogue, BKV paints a space opera very realistically with themes that are relevant in our own world. The art is fantastic and inventive and the lore is incredible too. Can't wait to find out more of where this goes.
