I was planning to finish the other series before starting this one but since Maverik is Dallas's bff and Reid too, i didn't want to be spoiled or lost. So i respected the release dates and started this one before reading Reid's story.

Some little things made me tick, the purposeful misunderstanding sometimes but there's IMO a good perspective on this one, not new, but well explained.

The intrigue also was a bit twisty and i really liked it

The throuple didn't bothered me at all but it was so badly done ... At first it felt like she was with Will for a little while and then for the rest of the book she was described mostly with Beck ...
I never felt like they were a throuple, i didn't really see the connection just the lust (and i'm very choked to say that but it was a bit too much or in weird times so the scene felt more awkaward to read than spicy).
Will's story was interesting and deserved to be more developped but how it was handled and this end pissed me off to no end, i wanted to throw my kindle. Honestly it was a waste and the opinion/idea beneath it, i didn't like it at all...
Beck's story was meh honestly and the "twist" was just too much ... It was also handled with much not said and felt added just there to put a bit more into a story already going all over the place.
Charlie's story could've been very interesting and i was into it at first but i honestly felt like jerked around with where the author was going to go. The resolution felt too easy and the story itself overwhelming.
The book itself was TOO LONG for all of that and aaa lot was glossed over, wasn't explained and everything.
It was nice reading about beloved characters but it was so long ago, i didn't get all the "inside" joke and it didn't help elevate the book. Overall i was thinking of rating a bit higher because i laughed at some part and the beginning was good but honestly i struggled to finish i and i was so mad and disappointed at the end that i think my rating makes sense.

I really liked Gracie again even if i wanted her to be a bit more selfish ^^ Overall it was nice, the world was interesting but too surface level in a way. As usual after so many pages i feel like i miss something about the guy but he was still okay even if a bit annoying with his non telling and grunt (i like grumpy men but he was on another level lol)

I finally read it !! I was over the moon when i heard MZ was dropping a new book then i got cold feet because i was afraid of not liking it (it is different) and not being in the right mood to read it (veeerry slow and looong book). But finally since nothing is really grabbing my attention these days and had a 3 day week-end i finally started it. And i should have not doubt MZ lol. The story is different of what she does but it's also very similar. There's more action but it is still slow as hell ^^
I really liked Gracie, she's a typical MZ character but with a bit less martyr in her even if some times ...
Alex ... it took me a real long time to warm up to him, that bastard made tear up with his meanness at some point !!
The story was very interesting i was so into it but i wish the world about Atraxian was a bit more developed ?
Also while i was fully prepared for the slow burn and actually really enjoying it, i feel like after the 85% mark it was just extended for the hell of it and it kinda frustrated me a bit.
Overall and with a bit of a surprise, this book was a win with a very long slow burn but with good story and interesting characters.

Since i'm on a re read spree for whatever reason and since MZ is one of my favorite author i wanted to re read all of them ^^ but i started with this one because it's the i had to re read first. I really liked Sal, she's assertive says what she wants to say and doesn't accept Kulti's rude behavior. I wish thiught that she clapped back at her team ... I love seeing Kulti and her becoming close (despite his behavior) and it's too bad we don't see them more as a couple. I feel like we don't know a lot about Kulti's background it was just hinted. Overall a typical loveable MZ book.

So i was in the mood for something slow surprisingly and i decided to read this one. And i'm really glad i did !! I found all that made me fall in love with Zapata's writing and i spend my entire day with the book and loving it.
Sure i wanted more groveling from Kulti's behavior and i don't understand a word of spanish so it was a bit annoying when there wasn't a traduction but overall i was totally into it and didn't took a break on reading.
I grew up with football (soccer), my father is a big fan of the local team and i followed closely the world cup for men and women so i loved being into this world. Some little thing i wasn't sure they were accurate but still it was interesting and also "eye opening" on the cattiness of some women : sadly always against each other / critsizing each other than uplifting each other.
But overall the story was sweet, very feel good, funny and with great and very human characters. Sal's father stole my heart though ^^
I loved how Sal and Kulti relationship grew, it was slowly but beautiful (other than Kulti questionable behavior) and real and especially their friendship developping before anything else.
It felt very good to spend the day in this world, with this characters...

So as always after a new MZ book i was craving more and this time i went and read it... and i don't understand why i waited lol

It took me a few seconds to understand that the h was the sister of the h from lukov with love and i got a bit confused by the timeline, mostly because i have a goldfish memory but apart from that i fell into the story very quickly.

The exchange of letters then the discussions parts went very quick and i was totally into it, seeing them develop friendship through words and trust and everything, i smiled a looot like a dumbass but i loooved the feeling.

When they finally meet, omg the tension there it got me, i couldn't stop reading !
They were the cutest sweetest together as a friend and muuuuuuch later as a couple.

Still some little things bothered me but not enough to spoil the story : longer time as a couple would've been better, she was also a bit of martyr which kinda irked me and the way they got together was a bit like a let down for me after all the tensions but still it was all sweet as hell.

But even with that i spend 550 pages wanting to shake Rip... He had his moments but overall you see the way he treated her and it made me angry and disapointed most of the time.
The story is engaging and Luna went through some bad shit. She's very (almost too much) resilient yet i really liked her.
Even if the book is long it felt like it finished with some loose end.

I read this book almost a year ago and since i was on a MZ binge i wanted to re read it know. I don't think it was the brightest idea. For starters, i read just before "From Lukov with love" and the difference is obvious, you can tell the author evolved. And i should remember to read an MZ book whan i have absolutely nothing to do for a day or two because reading small parts by small parts kinda erase the feeling i like with her books.
Anyway, i kinda struggled to finish it mostly because i wasn't in the mood and i found the characters childish and a bit annoying.

I just like the feel, the atmosphere of her books, i could spend all day reading one of her books...
and this ne was no exception. I always dismissed it for whatever reasons but i finally started it and i really liked it.
Dex was an asshole and i really really wanted to slap him sometime. Iris was nice but i wish she was a bit more assertive in her behavior.
They were times i found it was a bit too long but overall it was interesting, a bit more "action" than the others and even hotter sometimes (i was used to one sexy scene at pratically the end and that's it lol).
Mariana Zapata is definitely one of my favorites authors, i don't always agree with her characters, their thoughts (i find the women to "slut shaming" sometimes) or even how they reacts to some situations but i'm always totally invested into the story and okay with reading more than 400 pages of "mundane" life like it's the best thing. So i saw a new version of the book or more like with new contents and since i didn't remember much i really really wanted to re read it. When i started it, a lot came back but still i was into it and had a good time. A bit long, i wish for more sweet moments between Ora and Rhodes though.

Like every Zapata's book the second time feels better. I enjoyed these characters and i loved how Ora evolved and see her thriving in a "simple" life. Again, i feel like we don't know as much about the man, here Rhodes. After rereading most of the books in such a short time, the same pattern is there for sure buy every story has it's own atmosphere and i enjoyed this one.

Since i saw MZ announcing a new book, i've been stalking the release date everyday ...
Finally it came 2 weeks later and i stop my reading schedule just to read it ^^

The first chapters i wasn't so sure but i finally connected with MZ special magic and got into the book. I found Ora to be an usual MZ character, upbeat, kind and with a difficult passed but always likeable. But Ora was also a bit more assertive compared to her others characters which i really liked.
As usual too, the male character was a bit of an asshole at first but you can't help but fall into his quiet charms and gesture ...
The story itself was also the usual, the day to day of the heroine with interesting and likeable second characters.

Overall, it was the usual formula, the one that we all know as a fan but still works really well. What i liked more is that whereas i was a bit frustrated with the last 2 books, i found this one more like the books i especially loved so kudos for that.
The only thing (and big IMO) that i didn't feel that much was the intensity ... It was very sweet but something was a bit missing.

So i saw a new version of the book or more like with new contents and since i didn't remember much i really really wanted to re read it. When i started it, a lot came back but still i was into it and had a good time. A bit long, i wish for more sweet moments between Ora and Rhodes though.

Like every Zapata's book the second time feels better. I enjoyed these characters and i loved how Ora evolved and see her thriving in a "simple" life. Again, i feel like we don't know as much about the man, here Rhodes. After rereading most of the books in such a short time, the same pattern is there for sure buy every story has it's own atmosphere and i enjoyed this one.

Since i saw MZ announcing a new book, i've been stalking the release date everyday ...
Finally it came 2 weeks later and i stop my reading schedule just to read it ^^

The first chapters i wasn't so sure but i finally connected with MZ special magic and got into the book. I found Ora to be an usual MZ character, upbeat, kind and with a difficult passed but always likeable. But Ora was also a bit more assertive compared to her others characters which i really liked.
As usual too, the male character was a bit of an asshole at first but you can't help but fall into his quiet charms and gesture ...
The story itself was also the usual, the day to day of the heroine with interesting and likeable second characters.

Overall, it was the usual formula, the one that we all know as a fan but still works really well. What i liked more is that whereas i was a bit frustrated with the last 2 books, i found this one more like the books i especially loved so kudos for that.
The only thing (and big IMO) that i didn't feel that much was the intensity ... It was very sweet but something was a bit missing.

Still i want more... as usual ^^

The end felt a bit too dramatic and a bit all over the place but the story was sweet, sexy and i wouldn't mind coming back to this world even if there wasn't really any new couple teasing.
The advantage on taking times between books is maybe be more indulgent on books i would find a bit more bland usually so i'm glad about that (doesn't mean i'll start doing that when life will be more normal lol)

I do understand that maybe the purpose of the book is about how miscommunications, silences can destroy even the best of love stories if you don't fight for it ... But omg it was tedious and almost unbelievable at times ... I mean they wasted years but it's resolved in a week. The friendship though was actually more interesting and showing that even with the best intentions it can all go sideways, but it's part of life.
Anyway, i don't even know if i'm glad i read the book, i just know i'm relieved i finished and that's one i won't revisit lol

I felt allll the feelings while reading the book and i even had tears in my eyes a few times (but i don't know if it's related to the books or the hormones haha).
Anyway, i devoured the book, i started in the middle of the afternnon and finished it late at night without eating or anything, i was that much into it. And i love that feeling of being kind of blindsided in a great way by a book. I'm sure if i tried to think with a bit of awareness, some little things bugged me and the spice deserved better, there was maybe a bit too much drama for my poor hearts (and eyes) buuut it was a very very good surprise. It's a new to me author so it's always a bit scary for me but hnoestly i found myself laughing out loud a few times in the beggining and throughout the book !
