I forgot how much I enjoyed fantasy and also sometimes dystopian books more than romance until I started this one. Probably last few fantasy books bored me or simply I needed a little break from them.

This idea of dividing the society into groups based on people's attitude was stupid. Really, I thought I was gonna hate this book but damn, the writing style was hypnotizing, I just couldn't put the book down, I had to know what's gonna happen next after finishing every freaking chapter, it was riveting, I could feel all the emotions that our FMC went through.

I bought the the series few years after it was published, for some reason I didn't read it, cause one of my friends spoiled me the ending[spoilers removed] which is the reason this series was crying on my bookshelf, abandoned but finally happy now that I'm reading them :D

I'm speechless, dumbstruck reading this book. The ending left me speechless, it was completely different from what I was expecting and it was sad but well written. Even though the ending was depressing, it made the book more realistic this way.

So the plot was thought-provoking, people do this DNA test to find their matches AKA soulmates. Some find out their true loves and some just get themselves involved in danger. Some find happily ever after life and some relationship gets destroyed.

The beginning was promising enough to get 5 star from me, I thought it was a solid 5 star but after reading 50% of the book, I felt like the chemistry between the ml and fl wqs bland, their banter wasn't that deep, rather it was silly, i didn't understand even why ml even fell for her. Felt like it would've been a great enemies to lovers story but it ended up being a mediocre one.


So the story more focused on the romance more than anything, I wished it accentuate the magical powers that they had, wished there was some serious kinda battle.

I don't really have any favourite character here, I really loved Sinclair at the beginning but the character became mundane at some point.
