I loved so many things about this story! Friends to lovers and second chance in one book is an automatic hit for me. Everything wrapped up perfectly and it really felt full circle. Like you’re side eyeing Khalil at first because the way he was applying pressure was a bit questionable. By the time it ended I absolutely loved him! He wasn’t trying to fix up this tattered woman into his perfect little foldable doll. Lyfe really wanted Ocean to be at her best and to know she was not her past, she could be whoever she wanted to be in the present and he would rock with her no matter what!

I love how everything was wrapped up. Landon’s growth and permission for Ocean to be Lyfe’s girlfriend was adorable! Ivory went out bad but low key that’s what she gets for being a snake. Same for Irv. Karma truly was a bi$@# in this thing! Beautifully written worth every second of reading time!

First things first - check your trigger warnings people! Not only is this BDSM, there’s weapon play and at least one scene that might feel like dubcon.

I feel like this book is hard to write a review how I normally would without giving spoilers but in the simplest terms.. it’s so much better than I could’ve imagined. I picked this up because I love sports romance and got way more than I bargained for. I love all of the romances, because there are several, but more than that I love the friendship and family vibes. The loyalty to their crew was all they had and if one was going to the top everybody was going and everybody was gonna win. I can’t wait to keep reading more of this series.

That aside yes I liked it. I am always here for stepdaddy season and Shakur did it well. Virgil was a piece of work and I loved how Shakur carries that too. He loved Pressley, believed her stories when the average person wouldn’t, and went to bat for her and her children. Love that for him. Also love how each book keeps the previous storyline going.

I loooove Lequay! Book 2 threw me off but this one sucked me back into the family. I love how Quay and Scotland met and bonded, it was different and added a little element of “oh shoot when they gonna find out.�� It was just exciting. I’m a huge romantic suspense girl so I really enjoyed this. It felt very small town found family even though it’s set in the city. I loved all of the side characters and I’m a sucker for a cute kid so Nevaeh and her meddling were everything! Now I do wish the suspense element had a tad more connection. It wasn’t entirely disjointed, I understand it, but it would’ve hit harder if there was a little more overall connectivity to the people than just the 1 thing. It definitely kept me on my toes the whole time though.

If you do enjoy DARK romance this is a great one! Cashlynn was a wildfire indeed. As much as she hated Nazai she was not playing with or about him. I love the whole crew from this series! I was in the mood for something messy and this definitely delivered. There was drama left and right that will definitely keep you entertained. Plenty of spice and I actually enjoyed the kinks.. judge your mother not me! Legend gave possessive energy from the beginning and I was here for it. I’m always here for a good step daddy story and the whole friend group is a good time! Amidst the drama there is a good love story. I enjoyed the bond over music, that always hits home for me, and the journey of Kayleigh finding herself. She definitely gives middle child syndrome and I wasn't her biggest fan in Book 1 for this family but she won me over. Once she became a mom and explored her passion through music it was easy to love her!

Jyles and Devyn had top tier banter from their first encounter. Might be an unpopular opinion but I LOVE a drawn out friends to lovers story. They kept me laughing with their quips and the constant ping pong of sarcasm. Reading book 1 I actually found Torren kind of annoying but I really love him. The glimpses of the past shows you some things from a different POV that makes me enjoy him. Dealing with someone who has addiction issues is hard and I love how Torren took accountability for who he was, where he’s been, and he just wanted to be/do better with Callie. The story is supposed to be a slow burn but it didn’t feel that way to me. The flow was just right for me.

I picked this series up on a whim because I saw some gorgeous special edition paperbacks and I love it so much! I’m generally a sucker for a sports romance but I love the stories behind the romance in this series. For it to be college sports, all of these kids and their families have, and are, overcoming traumas that would drown most people. This is a super cute, very cozy holiday novella. It’s festive but still has depth and characters going through real things to make you love them. I loved every second of Zion from his relationship with his grandmother to how he talked to Nick. His whole vibe gave off protector, supporter, like he wanted Aspen to always be in her soft girl era and I love that for her! I love grandma and her meddling. Loved it! I’m a sucker for any romance with law/police elements so this is right up my alley. Samad was not playing with Nilou which I’ve come to expect from a T’Lyn man. Saved the best for last! I’ve enjoyed this series but this one.. whew it was emotional. Anything with kid trauma tugs at my emotions but the kind in this book sends me over the edge! I think reading it may hit different than reading it because I can visualize it how I want to in my head. This is a short so there’s not much to it but what I got felt mysterious and sexy. I liked that they’re both rare, how they claimed each other, how connected their sense were to each other. I might actually pick up another werewolf romance.. still a short because I have to ease into it but I actually liked the concept!
