every time the author needed to create tension for the main characters, emme either 1. refused pack bonds or 2. got kidnapped. the sheer amount of times that she got kidnapped in these books, despite her pack apparently being the absolute best and the most powerful with the best technology to ever exist. it just became unenjoyable at a certain point, especially after she couldn’t even tell her bonded mates the real reason she didnt want to bond?? after TWO books?? only reason i finished this one was to see if she would bond with slade, and spoiler alert, SHE DOESNT. will not catch me reading the next one
