»sorry, aber...« Bestseller-Autorin Tara-Louise Wittwer (»Drama Queen«) nervt es, dass ihr eine schnelle Entschuldigung oft so viel leichter über die Lippen geht als für sich einzustehen. Und dass sie sich so oft schuldig fühlt, obwohl es keinen Grund dazu gibt.

Warum ist es überhaupt wichtig, sich zu entschuldigen – und was bedeutet eine Entschuldigung, wenn sie nicht ernst gemeint ist? Entschuldigen wir uns, um die Schuld abzuladen? Entschuldigen wir uns für andere, damit sie sich besser fühlen? Kann man sich überhaupt aktiv entschuldigen, oder muss man um Entschuldigung bitten? Entschuldigen sich Frauen mehr als Männer? Ich finde das Thema des Buches - das ständige Entschuldigen und warum das so ist - einfach unfassbar spannend und konnte mich auch selbst in den genannten Beispielen wiederfinden.

Außerdem habe ich das Buch als Hörbuch gehört, welches von Tara (der Autorin) selbst gesprochen wird, und das hat es für mich noch besser gemacht, weil es so passend war. Ich habs in einem Rutsch durchgehört.

Beim Hören bzw. danach habe ich noch immer über diese Fragestellung nachgedacht, ob dadurch, dass wir uns so oft entschuldigen, es überhaupt noch ernst gemeint ist und ob ein "sorry" durch diese Überbenutzung nur noch als Floskel genutzt wird, um den Satz, den man zu sagen hat, abzumildern (obwohl dieser gar nicht "abgemildert" werden muss). Spannend finde ich auch ihre Erklärung (bzw. eigentlich auch die Erklärungen, die die Statistiken liefern) inwiefern das Patriarchat (of course) daran Schuld hat.

Darüber hinaus hat sich Tara-Louise dafür entschieden ihr Buch im generischem Femininum zu schreiben (kurze Definition, weil ich vorher nicht wusste, was das ist: "Als ein generisches Femininum bezeichnet man die Verwendung einer grammatisch femininen Personenbezeichnung, zu der es ein maskulines Gegenstück gibt {Lehrerin/Lehrer}). Das hab ich vorher noch nie so gelesen und im Alltag hört man es ja auch nicht sehr häufig. Fand ich auf jeden Fall sehr cool, es auch mal anders herum zu hören.

Also ja, All in all, Zusammenfassend, to put it in a nutshell, was auch immer: Ich mochte das Buch sehr gerne, ich war nicht gelangweilt und fand das Thema sehr spannend und interessant formuliert.]]> 3.98

Außerdem habe ich das Buch als Hörbuch gehört, welches von Tara (der Autorin) selbst gesprochen wird, und das hat es für mich noch besser gemacht, weil es so passend war. Ich habs in einem Rutsch durchgehört.

Beim Hören bzw. danach habe ich noch immer über diese Fragestellung nachgedacht, ob dadurch, dass wir uns so oft entschuldigen, es überhaupt noch ernst gemeint ist und ob ein "sorry" durch diese Überbenutzung nur noch als Floskel genutzt wird, um den Satz, den man zu sagen hat, abzumildern (obwohl dieser gar nicht "abgemildert" werden muss). Spannend finde ich auch ihre Erklärung (bzw. eigentlich auch die Erklärungen, die die Statistiken liefern) inwiefern das Patriarchat (of course) daran Schuld hat.

Darüber hinaus hat sich Tara-Louise dafür entschieden ihr Buch im generischem Femininum zu schreiben (kurze Definition, weil ich vorher nicht wusste, was das ist: "Als ein generisches Femininum bezeichnet man die Verwendung einer grammatisch femininen Personenbezeichnung, zu der es ein maskulines Gegenstück gibt {Lehrerin/Lehrer}). Das hab ich vorher noch nie so gelesen und im Alltag hört man es ja auch nicht sehr häufig. Fand ich auf jeden Fall sehr cool, es auch mal anders herum zu hören.

Also ja, All in all, Zusammenfassend, to put it in a nutshell, was auch immer: Ich mochte das Buch sehr gerne, ich war nicht gelangweilt und fand das Thema sehr spannend und interessant formuliert.
