this novel was very funny in my opinion. i enjoyed the crazy behavior of the two travelers. i never read a story from this author however i have heard his name mentioned many times over the years. it was written in 1971. 50 years later things haven't changed all that much. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys stoner humor. if you don't like that, it is best to avoid this novel. 4.5 stars!

well this was something different for me. i don't usually read fantasy but i like the author so i tried it. the book would be good for someone that gets into fantasy. parts of it were funny and i liked the characters well enough. witchcraft and magic were a big part of the story. if you like that sort of thing. don't think this is something i would read again.
