What a beautiful ending to this series. I didn’t think I would connect with Poe because when I got glimpses of her from the series I thought her to be immature and yet in her own book I found her to be the most tolerable. She is a gem. And Alaric? Alaric is one MEAN mf. I mean wow holy hell, this is pure enemies to lovers, soulmates, forbidden goodness. I genuinely really could not get enough of these two. And these two didn’t get together until more then half way through this book so talk about some wicked tension and slow burn.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but this has got to be the best dark romance I have ever read. Granted it is a duet, and part 1 tore me up but part 2 shredded me.

Who would’ve thought a serial killer romance was what I needed? Nothing about this is easy to read. But to be in the minds of Grayson and London is so fascinating. Maybe it’s because Grayson and London equally are so complex, they are so smart and together they are a dark love story come to life.

There are tender moments in this novel between these two. Surrounded by violence, murder and obsession, you get a glimpse of a tender love.

I will say that these two are a sick, twisted team. Not exactly evil, but definitely not good. Pretty sure a criminal minds episode could be dedicated to these two. This is very Harley Quinn and Joker like. Except Joker is a real villian, a crazy man who kills for the hell of and Grayson is nothing like that.

I want to emphasize this is very much a taboo romance. More than that it’s incredibly dark, it’s incredibly twisted and at the same time I wanted these two to have their happy ending, even if a regular form of happiness was not possible.
