I love Jane Austen novels. I did enjoy this story somewhat, however, the ending ruined the story for me. I don’t really like cliffhanger endings. Therefore the 2 star rating. Had I known about the ending, I would not have wasted my time reading this book.

If I want to read books about ghosts, there is a whole genre dedicated to just that. Why aren't we warned ahead of time that the author decided to include a dead person in spirit form making an appearance in the book, at least I could have saved a few dollars.

This author is not the only one that has decided to add a ghost to her stories, there are a few other authors that I 'use' to read that have decided to add dead spirits to their story lines, and it makes me furious. Of course I never read anything by them again, nor will I be reading anymore of this series or this author again. I realize that sounds harsh, but that is my hard earned money that buys these books, and had I known ahead of time I would not have bought this book. As I said before, I don't enjoy reading books that throw in dead spirits in their stories, even if they are suppose to be nice spirits or ghosts.

Because of that I only awarded this book 2 stars.

I was so looking forward to reading this book, "The Long Way Home" by Mariah Stewart. She has always been one of my favorite authors. I read all the other books in the "Chesapeake Diaries" series and enjoyed them. However, I didn't enjoy this book very much aside from being very predictable, there were a few references that were just creepy, about the 'white haired lady setting in the rocking chair.' If you read the book you will understand what I am talking about. I do not understand why she added that to the story, I didn't think it added anything to the storyline, or Grace's references to the Ouija board, to talk to her dead friend.

If I want to read books about ghosts, there is a whole genre dedicated to just that. Why aren't we warned ahead of time that the author decided to include a dead person in spirit form making an appearance in the book, at least I could have saved a few dollars.

This author is not the only one that has decided to add a ghost to her stories, there are a few other authors that I 'use' to read that have decided to add dead spirits to their story lines, and it makes me furious. Of course I never read anything by them again, nor will I be reading anymore of this series or this author again. I realize that sounds harsh, but that is my hard earned money that buys these books, and had I known ahead of time I would not have bought this book. As I said before, I don't enjoy reading books that throw in dead spirits in their stories, even if they are suppose to be nice spirits or ghosts.

Because of that I only awarded this book 2 stars.

This is the first book I've read by this author, I read a review on another book reviewers blog, and decided to read this book, not knowing it was the first in this series. This was a delightful little cozy mystery. It was fast moving, funny, and had a few twists and turns, while I was trying to guess 'whodunit.' WOW...What a ride, I loved it and awarded it 5 I'm sure I will be reading another one of her books in this series somewhere down the cozy mystery road.

A Tea Shop Mystery, how much better could it get? The only advice I have while reading this book is...keep a cup of tea handy. The talk of the many different tea varieties, made me want a cup handy while reading this fun cozy mystery.

The storytelling was different and there was more to the story than what was on the surface, however I have to admit there were moments when it went over my head. But that's due to faults of my own and not any fault of the author, and at least I recognized that.

This book was just what I needed, nothing deep, no steamy bedroom scenes. It's impossible not to cheer for the characters in her stories. Her characters are always memorable, and honorable characters. I know when I choose a book by Debbie it is almost always a "PG" read, as was this one. This is one of Debbies older books, © 1986 but nevertheless I enjoyed it.

I loved this book and the unpredictable change of pace this book took, I loved it. It was a fun, whimsical, romantic book about these 5 guys (Jonathan, Kyle, Adam, Vance and Bernardo) trying to figure out "What She Wants". Yes, it has it's own kind of a romantic twist, and a few other twists as well. Something I loved most of all, was there were no bedroom "R" rated scenes. I love reading romance books that are easy on the mind, not in your face with steamy bedroom scenes. This one was "Sweet Mind Candy." My favorite kind of candy!

As I was reading this story I was reminded of one of my favorite movies: "Return to Me." The book "Following His Heart" was a nice sweet story that moved along quite nicely and quickly. I read it in parts of two days. It could be read in a day.
